As always, my vehicle was checked in right away and all the information and issues were documented correctly. The reason for this review is that upon arrival at 0728, there was an employee, male, about 6' kinda stocky wearing a black shirt and had dark hair, came walking fast from from the employee parking area into the Service Area door like he was late. After signing my car in, I went to the customer lounge and there the same employee was BS'ing with a young lady over a cup of coffee in the lounge area. At 0842, the guy left and went into the parts area off to work at least 10 minutes late. I know this is without actual information about his actual start time and job description but is annoying to have at least one employee standing around the refreshment center in a customer lounge if they should be working? Thank you and toss this or communicate with me if you so desire. I am open to discussing this. Just looks bad on an otherwise great dealership! read more

I was contacted by a member of Chico Nissan who wanted to purchase our vehicle we had for sale. I informed the staff member of the awful experiences we had with local dealers and explained I was hesitant to make 70 mile trip to the dealership. The staff member assured me they were not like the other dealerships and reiterated we would be happy with the experience. We made the trip to the dealership and the sale went smoothly. After leaving the dealership we realized we left our recently installed subwoofer ($600) in the trunk of the car. We contacted the dealership and were assured it would be no problem for us to pickup the subwoofer after they removed it. We called back a few days later and spoke to Jake a manager at the dealership who gave us the run around for several weeks and ultimately told us we'd have to pay to have a secondary shop remove the subwoofer. We didn't feel that was fair but agreed to pay the fee in order to get it back. Jake informed us he would set a up a date and time to meet at the shop so we could pay the shop and get the subwoofer back. Well it's now been over a month and Jake will not return our calls or text messages. If returning the subwoofer was not possible it would have been great to hear that information, rather than being lied to and strung along for over a month. Overall, if you want to be taken advantage of, lied to and feel ripped off like you would at most dealerships, go to Chico Nissan and ask for Jake. read more

The dealership has issues with communication between sales and finance. Many mistakes were made on the initial contract. I also had dealings with Steve in finance. Not a pleasant experience. I waited 2.5 hours to complete paperwork. He did not appologize for the wait - simply said it wasn't his fault. I signed all the paperwork, then was told I had to do it all over again because he had made mistakes. I refused to resign - told him he needed to amend the legally binding original document and make changes to it - then we could both initial the changes. The head of sales, Sean, got involved and suddenly, all the paperwork was fine and I no longer needed to resign anything. Thanks to Sean, all was resolved. Ended up with a good relationship with the salesperson, Henry. If you chose to work with this dealership, be on your toes regarding what you are told and carefully read all documents. Watch out for Steve in finance. Other posters have mentioned negative experiences with him. Ask for everything in writing - do not go on verbal promises. Everyone is in a hurry here and quickly promise things without remembering what is being promised - not on purpose - just that they are in a hurry and internal communications are not smooth. I didn't have a very pleasant experience spending my hard earned money on a car at Chico Nissan. They are so full of ###*** when selling you a car. They will promise anything until you have purchased. First thing I ended up waiting for 3 hrs to get the paperwork done. They offered some sort of drivetrain warranty at no extra charge. But one of the sales managers named Mike (I believe) threatened to take it away because I wanted an additional 500dollars off the price of the car. " Are you kidding me!!!!". I know, I know, I should have walked out right then and there. But I didn't and I'm kicking myself everytime I drive by that car sales trap!!! just stay away there are plenty of places to buy nice cars. I did give a 2 because they gave me water. read more

After having bought two cars at almost $100,000 total from this dealership, and buying the super expensive extended lifetime warranty, truck would not start. Called and talked to FRANK who told me the that the thousands of dollars that I spent on the extended warranty was crap and that Nissan lied to me!!!! (yes, this is the Nissan dealership/service department telling me how dishonest his company was.) He was very blunt and matter-of-fact. He went ahead and scheduled the appointment for me to bring my truck in, when I did, the first thing he said is that I'm probably going to have to take it to Dodge instead of using their service department. (even though Dodge didn't get any money for the extended warranty that I bought.) he did not bother to see what kind of warranty I had to direct me in the right place in the first place. Frank completely wasted my time. I will NEVER buys from them again. And neither will any of my family, or colleagues, if I have anything to do with it. read more

These scumbags at Chico Nissan sold me a thrashed truck and made it sound like it was the best truck in the world. So, basically I buy a truck from these dummies and 2 days later the check engine light comes on, so I take it in to them and have them check it out, and they say everything is fine, "it's just entering regen mode" (I've had diesels my whole life, I know what regen mode is) so I'm like "alright whatever" two weeks go by I have to haul up some stuff to Redding for my girlfriend and boom the check engine light comes on again, but I'm in Redding for the weekend so I cant do anything besides park it, and today on my way back down I'm driving it and now something is rattling in the hood, so I stop at O'Rileys to get the check engine light looked at, and there are THREE damn codes. My sister-in-law recently purchased a vehicle from the company. From the beginning there was an issue with the vehicle they said they would fix eventually. The check engine light came on within two months and she hasnt received service to fix the issue. They do not return her phone calls and when they do reply to text messages they are extremely rude. I don't know if they treat her like crap because she's a woman, but it's extremely disrespectful and your company needs to work on your customer service. read more

Finance manager​ deceived and lied to me intentionally and admitted he knew I didn't know what he was saying. Fast forward 3 months and still nothing done to remedy that situation and now they haven't turn my purchase information over to DMV. Avoid this dealer at all cost, look at the rating. All the bad comments are true. I just had an experience with them. They are dishonest. They gave me a good quote and ask me to go to their website and applying to finance, this is their link. https://www.chiconissan.com/finance/apply-for-financing/ DO NOT DO IT. Once you go there, they will run your credit report, it will hurt your credit. I hesitated and did not do it. They hide a lot of stuffs, the discount they gave that included the new $1500 Calfornia Clean Fuel Reward Program for buyers that buy EVs, they also secretly install the useless anti-thief sticker that cost $249, this cost never discloses in windows sticker price, so you will be surprised and find out the cost when you sign the paper. All that was hiding from me. Thx god I catch all that, but they almost got me though. If I can give 0 stars, I would have. Don't believe their quotes, they will give you the best price to get you into applying for financing on their websites, once they have your information and credit, they know that you won't back out. NEVER APPLY FINANCING ON THEIR WEBSITE. This is one of the "too good to be true" scenarios. Please be careful.... Btw, they just called me, I told them I will post this on yelp. They probably counter with their arguments. They will blame me, the customers, instead of them. It's up to you yelp to decide who is wrong/right. You don't have to believe me, you just check the rating, 3 stars will tell you the story. Look at all the bad comments/experiences, many of them are true. I just experienced them. I have been in the process of looking for a car. We decided to come to the Nissan in Chico because Alex G was giving us a good deal. He was super nice to work and understood how the car buying process works. When buying a car we were trying to get the best deal possible. The amount we were putting down was more than half of the price of the car. There was a fee added along with the taxes that my dad was haggling. Then when we would not agree which was being done in a professional manner- Steve Z. came out of his office waving the paper in our faces saying this is the all he can do and that can we get out if we do not agree. I'm sorry the way his manner of speaking was not appropriate and disrespectful towards my dad. My dad has been in many car buying processes without ever being this disrespected. Steve Z. did not apologize even as we were leaving. Customer service should be key in his business and he is lacking that along with manners. Watch out folks, Chico Nissan does not honor their warranty! Bought a 1 year old Mazda from them and Chico Nissan had just installed a new Nissan battery with an 84 month warranty. The battery will not take a charge 3 years later. I took the battery in for a pro-rated new battery and Chico Nissan said because they put it in a Mazda, they will not warranty it. BEWARE FOLKS, this is not a good and honest business! The salesman said, when I commented on the new battery, yes, it's good for 84 months. Liar! read more
