This is a hole in the wall that can't be overlooked. Their Peruvian fried rice, fried fish and fried chicken are superb. Pro tip: get extra lime sauce and pour it all over! This place will have you feeling like you're eating at your Abuela's house after school. Service was great!

I have been ordering from this place for a long time each time I am at my sister's house in Miami, but only using the apps Uber eats, and grub hub this occasion was the first time I could go to the restaurant and have a nice meal. I order the Lomo Saltado with fried rice which is my go-to-go order each time I used the app. Lomo Salteado is a popular, traditional Peruvian dish, a stir fry that typically combines marinated strips of sirloin with onions, tomatoes, French fries, and other ingredients; and is typically served with white rice but on this place, you can find it with Chaufa to my surprised which is fried rice from Peru. The Chaufa consists of a mix of fried rice with vegetables, usually including scallions, eggs, and meat, quickly cooked at a high flame, often in a wok with soy sauce and oil. The rice was cooked perfectly had a good taste and the portion was very generous, the sirloin was super tender and juicy clearly this is the soy sauce talking lol, the french fries were good crunchy not saggy with is good. Services could be better but the food was fire so I can recommend ordering for here.

Picked up my daughter at the Miami airport, 9:20 PM Thursday night and she wanted Peruvian food. We love La Perla but kitchen closes around 9:30 and we were far away so a quick search showed this place near FIU, open until midnight... we decided to give it a try not knowing what to expect. First we thought we would get some Chifa, (Peruvian Chinese food) but we got here, looked at the place- it's a small hole in the wall type humble run-down locale, and the lady told us the cook was Peruvian... so with great trepidation we decided to switch lanes and get some simple Peruvian classics: Lomo Saltado, tallarín verde con carne and some yuquitas con salsa huancaina to share, as well as some chicha morada to drink... and we crossed our fingers. We were the only table. The tv was blasting some cheesy Spanish soap-opera and the lady watched it but took care of us as well. We saw some to-go orders picked up so I guessed the place does keep busy that way... The food came out fast, the yuquitas were well prepared and with a bountiful bowl of huancaina: all Good, maybe needed a bit more hotness. Then the 2 main dishes appeared. They did not have a great presentation- as you can see in the photo, but they did have an OK taste. Not wonderful, and one can tell the ingredients are not high quality, which does not reflect on the very high price. The food was overall tasty, the meat pieces were tender, so we ate our simple meal, did not take the left overs home (big serving of pasta and potatoes), and left. In all, we were charged $87 that included the gratuity already added in the bill- (18%? this annoyed me a bit). I feel that for the type of setting, service and quality of food, this should have been a $50 dinner: at that price, this place would have a 3.5 star rating: so yes very pricy. I cannot recommend and will probably never return... But hey, at least it's open late and the food was ok tasting.

Located across the street from the main FIU campus within a shopping plaza is Chifa Don Jose, a small and locally owned. It's is a humble Peruvian and Chinese fusion with authenticity. As far as the Chinese-oriented dishes, they definitely get my A+ rating! I came on a Sunday around 4pm and wanted to try their Asian-oriented dishes. Their Chaufa and Tallarin Salatado are so flavorful! It tastes exactly as if I was in Peru. Chaufa is a Peruvian version of fried rice and Tallarin Saltado is a noodle stir-fry with veggies. They made it to a T. For both I got the "especial (special)" version that comes with a variety of meats including pork and chicken. I agree with another Yelper it may not be the best "date spot" atmosphere as it's more casual and humble rather than elegant or trendy. However the food is good. There is only inside seating , the server was nice, and the parking was easy.

I wanted to come to this place to try the food with the hubby. We ordered a fish ceviche which was delicious and fresh, we also had fried fish chunks which was also very good. The plate of rice and beans hit the spot. This is definitely a hole in the wall but aren't these places usually surprisingly good!!!!! This is a mom and pop place the owner is the waiter and so far he has been attentive.

First of all, I don't know how people can give this place less than four stars. The restaurant is small and in a corner of the Publix shopping center on 107. It is a blended cuisine of Peruvian with Asian if I'm not mistaken. I went on a Sunday night and the owners are your waitress and the cook. They are a powerful team of two! The food is delicious--sincerely some of the best Peruvian food I've tasted in Miami. We got the Lomo Tallarines, Tallarines Verdes, Causa, and the Arroz Chaufa. Everything was soooo good and very tasty--you can tell their heart for their country is on that plate! We did notice that their Causa is a bit different--it has corn and peas...we weren't fans of that but overall the rest of the food was great. If there is anything I can guarantee of this place is that you pay for a GOOD portion of food. When I tell you that the size of the plate is bigger than your face, I mean it . If you like to eat a lot then grab a chair, sit down, and open the buttons on your jeans. Get ready. Try this place!

It was tart with a slight heat from the chili, with cilantro, thinly sliced red onion, sweet potato, and giant corn - nicely salty. The fish was fresh, and was nicely marinated. The Causa Ganadora was very good - cold mashed potato with Peruvian red pepper, oil, and lime, serviced with panko shrimp with a maracuya sauce. The panko shirmp was lightly crisp. The Lomo Saltado was good, too. The meat was tender, the fries were good, onions, and tomatoes with a side of rice. The Parihuela Acevichada was very tasty, served hot, with corvina, shrimp, squid, and musssels. To drink, I tried the Chicha Morada, with purple corn, pineapple, clove, and cinnamon was good. My server was friendly. It's a small place, with a small bar.

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10
