Good customer service, but very slow at getting the food out . No AC at all running, not sure what's up with that. They really should include a drink with their meals that's their biggest downfall. If I'm paying for a meal roughly around $18-$19 the least they can do is include a drink. Very disappointing.

The flavors were perfectly balanced for each of our bowl. The mac bowl was creamy and not overwhelmingly cheesy, with the fries seasoned perfectly. The salad consisted of plain coleslaw with a handful of pickles, which helped me reach my goal of not feeling bloated after. I consider the Medium heat spice on the chicken to be just right for someone that appreciated spicy, considering it 6-7/10 for intensity. The chicken had a balanced amount of crispness and softness. Great quick service, spacious seating area, and lots of parking outside. Very clean. Would definitely come back.

Prices better than McDonalds and better than KFC. I went back and got seconds. Could use more "drip", not given a lot of sauce. Conveniently located next to the Chevron and is miles better for the same price as a gas station chicken sandwich.

I really wanted to like this place because I understand what they're going for, and I'm a big fan of spicy/hot chicken. Unfortunately, the seasoning was just way too much for me. It wasn't even really the heat that bothered me -- it was the amount of dry seasoning caked onto the chicken. With some bites I would literally get a mouthful of seasoning powder instead of actually tasting the chicken. I ended up taking a napkin and wiping down the tenders just to remove some of it, and you can see in the photos how much seasoning actually came off. I'm not trying to leave a negative review just for the sake of complaining, because I know everyone's taste is different. But for me, the seasoning completely overpowered the food and made it really hard to enjoy. There's definitely a difference between food being spicy and food simply having too much seasoning, and unfortunately this was the latter. Maybe I just caught a batch that was over-seasoned, but based on what I was served today, I honestly wouldn't order the chicken again.

Seen this place on Insta a couple of times. I got the Combo #2 (~$16, which is pretty affordable). The fries were very crispy, even after I got home but the chicken wasn't very crispy. Maybe it's more crispy if I ate in the store but I wouldn't know. Everything was good though.

Got the Medium Mac & Cheese which was decently spicy. The fries were very seasoned and crunchy. Macaroni was not very flavorful or cheesy. It was also a different temperature from the fries which were insanely hot. Chicken had a dry seasoning which was good but the white meat itself wasn't seasoned. Not enough sauce. Overall 6/10. There are better places that are cheaper.

The coleslaw bowl was something. I saw on yelp this Nashville chicken eatery had a bowl with the chicken on top, that set it apart from other chicken places. Sure we've had chicken fries, chicken nachos, and even chicken on cauliflower. But coleslaw sounded different. The ordering experience was fine. Looks like there was training going on but hey everyone needs love customers to train on right? It did take a while to get the food. So we know it's fresh? Keeping an eye out that door dashers didn't take my bowl! When the food finally came they just put it on the counter, they didn't call out the numbers. So don't get lost I your phone or you may miss your window of hit chicken. Restaurant was moderately clean. Bathrooms needed attention. And the fixtures had this, shall we say, odd configuration. I was a little hesitant to wash the grease off my hands in that sink. Would I be back? Maybe, if I'm in that area. But probably wouldn't make a special trip here. The dry slaw wasn't worth going out of my way.

First time I went to Chikin Drip tonight, and I was not let down. There was one big issue, but the food and service were so good, I'm still going to give them 5 stars. Upon entering, I was greeted by a lovely woman who gave me and my wife detailed info regarding the spice levels. The menu reminded me of a few other chicken places I frequent, but tasted better in more ways than one. The restaurant was very clean, and the members of staff were all great. As we ate, we were discussing the food, and wondering if the woman who first greeted us was the owner. She took our order while wearing a purse, and walked out right after, so we assumed she was in a position of authority. About 5 minutes after she left, the most obnoxious song began playing on the speakers at full volume. We could no longer hear each other speak. We assumed the employees were enjoying some music since the owner/manager is gone now. I have nothing against that, they have a tough job and 1 song is no big deal. Then another obnoxious song, followed by another, and another. By the time they played the 5th obnoxious song in the same genre at full volume, we decided to leave. All I can say is that whoever created that playlist may need to explore some other genres of music. Every song sounded like somebody banging on a trash can while under the influence of bath salts or suffering from withdrawals of bath salts. I'm still giving the restaurant 5 stars, but I want the owner to know what's going on behind their back. It seems like the employees do what they want once they're left alone. That's a recipe for disaster and can affect other aspects of your business. It shouldn't be overlooked that they all gave great service, irregardless of the abuse they put me and my wife through with their music.

I have never been to this place before. I just thought I was going be another chicken fast food trying to be like the next.. I will say it's not your average chicken nugget/strip. There was sample parking. The place is big and a lot of seating in the dining room. There's some fun art on the wall. They had a really fun sports car out front with their logo on it. We placed an order and the food was made fairly quickly. My son ordered the combo with a sandwich and a tender medium spice with extra sauce and fries. I wanted to taste it so I ordered a chicken tender with mild spice. My son Mukbang it. The chicken tenders are huge. Both meals the seasoning was red was hardly any more spicy than mine. If he likes spice I'd say go more than medium for sure. I think I'll try hot next time to get a little kick. The french fries were yummy and crunchy and seasoned. My side order of the chicken tender came on a piece of like Texas toast or something like that was delicious. It's a little bit like raising Cane's. However- I'd say it's a little bit better than raising Cane's because it has less batter and more spice. If that's your thing then you'll like this place. We will go back to this place. It was good.

Everything was well seasoned and their sauce had a nice tanginess to it, but the chicken in the sandwich was ever so slightly on the drier side. I'm not greattt with spice so I got mild, but it wasn't giving any spice at all so I definitely could've leveled up. Nothing to write home about imo, but still a decent spot for spicy halal chicken.

Located by San Jose Airport, parking is plentiful and easy to find. Seating is also very abundant. The noise level is quiet-average. Combo #4 comes with 2 sliders and fries. Off the bat the fries were so delicious. They were super crispy and flavorful. The sliders were also so yummy too. The buns were crispy without being too dry. The chicken was tender. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Chikin Drip is a delicious chicken place. The fries are second to none and service is quick.

Yum! If you're craving a hot chicken sandwich, this is a great place. The cashier described the medium spice to be similar to hot cheetos but I think it's a bit spicier. I can eat really spicy and I think medium was the perfect level for me if I don't want to sweat. Their spice also has a bit of sweetness to it which really enhanced the flavor. Also if you add cheese to your sandwich, they don't melt it. There's lots of tables and parking available. Def somewhere I'd come back to.

Good service . Cashier was cool. The food recipe must have changed because the seasonings tasted burnt. The hard fried skin along with the burnt seasoning texture made a really hard fried chicken skin that made it hard to bite on. It used to be good. Really upset about the quality of food. Seems they're focused on profit over quality. Cockroaches in the outside dining as well. read more

Absolutely AMAZING chicken place! The white meat on the inside melts in your mouth and has incredible moisture. I have a pretty sensitive stomach and the quality of their ingredients and food preparation do not affect me at all, whereas places like Chick-fil-A do. All of this is a testament to the attention to detail this establishment puts into their food. It's not too fried where you feel terrible after, it is just drenched in rub, seasoning, and FLAVOR so it tastes delicious. The fries have an exceptional amount of seasoning on them and you will never get flavor fatigue. Usually, I am not a huge fan of fries especially when they're on the side of a big meal but I was able to enjoy every bite because of the amazing seasoning and sauce. Somehow the sauce had subtle sweet notes that made my mouth water for more, and the slaw ratio was perfect and added a soothing, light flavor to the slider. Also, the service is great and they keep their place clean!! The prices are very reasonable considering the quality especially if you split combos with friends. Highly recommend going here. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey for the size of the chicken! Recommendations when ordering: 1) Get extra sauce, trust me. 2) Start off with medium spice because they do NOT play with their spice levels here!! I enjoy a good kick and medium is perfect for me. I've had hot before and it made my nose run a little too much but it was still yummm! (Mild has pretty much no spice) read more

Ambience was fun. Nothing fancy. Service was mid. Nothing to special. Loaded Fry Basket: I had this and to me it was pretty good. Saucy, chicken, and fries. Wasn't the best though. Food: Probably on the bottom of my list of chicken sandwiches in SJ. No flavor, tastes like the chicken was produced and left out to sit. Love love love that they have a brick and mortar now! The quality of the chicken is just as good as the food truck, they have a few more options (2 sliders and cheese), and the ambiance is nice and casual. I was a bit disappointed in the size of everything. I feel like my chicken pieces were smaller. I didn't leave super full. The fries portion is TINY now. I don't mind that one, but was just surprised to see like 10 fries. At the truck I always asked for more slaw, less fries in my loaded fries but they charged me for extra slaw without letting me know. I also had to go back to ask for more slaw because it was barely sprinkled on. Room for improvement but will definitely be a regular here! read more

the chicken is a lot smaller than other places, nothing special. definitely looks better on social media than how it tastes. They also don't let you pick two different spice levels if you get two tenders/sandwiches as compared to other places for some odd reason. Should have stayed a food truck..... The flavors and freshness is not there anymore. We have been regulars since they first opened their food truck, its sad how much it changed. The chicken they claim is "fresh and juicy" was dry and small, it tasted like cleaning supplies. The fries tasted uncooked and less seasoned and don't get me started on the sauce... watery it did not taste like anything. We use to wait almost 25 mins for our order which we did not mind because it was worth it for the big juicy fried chicken, but this time it was quick less than 10 mins with cold, small amount of food, very disappointing. read more

10 out of 10 highly recommend this chicken spot. I have been to both locations when they had their truck and as well as this specific location sandwiches are amazing. They really stepped it up and for that I have to give them recognition. Fries and HOT Seasoning are perfect amount of heat + flavor. The food was amazing I went back and ordered another one! Andrea took my order, her service was amazing had a lovely conversation with her and she went out her way to give me extra sauce for trying out something new! we need more people with service like her in these other fast food industries. Gurshaan handed my food personally to my table I didn't even have to get up, he went as far to wipe down my table even though it looked thoroughly cleaned already. He even brought napkins when he noticed i had sauce on my fingers without asking, if this isnt top-tier service idk what is! The atmosphere its self was very nice with nice drawings on the walls and lots of tabels for space, over all 10/10 would go again! read more

Been a fan for a while since it was out of a food truck! Glad to see how much it's grown since then to a real dine-in experience Amazing customer service. First time I ordered, I was hooked up with an extra tender and extra sauce for free! The sauce is unreal. Liquid gold. Chicken is exactly how fried chicken should be. I don't understand why this place is not more highly rated. The chicken is way juicer and more flavorful than most of the other chicken food trucks and restaurants in this part of San Jose. The portions are large for the price and overall delicious! The sauce is also to die for and I always pay for extra because it's so good. I love this place and it's always in our rotation. read more

Chicken sandwhich had no flavor (i ordered hot spice level which was recommended by cashier). Taste like pepper. Small af. The whole sandwhich was smaller than the palm of my hand and i've been told i have micro Trump hands. This company used to be good when it was a food truck. Now they are cutting corners and people aren't stupid. Service also was bad. Or their business model. Not sure? I wanted their combo deal which included 2 chicken sandwhiches and 1 fry. So I asked for the spice levels on each to be different but they said they couldn't do that so I had to order 2 seperate combos which almost doubled the price just bcus they couldn't do different spice levels. Anyways, just bad business practices i had to point out. Good luck. read more

The chicken is always juicy, tender and tasty, but lately I feel like the quality of the breading is dropping. The breading just falls off the chicken and doesn't stick to it, almost seems soggy and wet for deep fried chicken. There dredging method in the restaurant needs to get better as I have NEVER had the breading just fall off the chicken when I order on their food truck, only the restaurant seems to have problems with keeping the breading on the chicken. read more

I've been to Chikin Drip a few times now and it's one of my favorite spots to eat, but today I placed an order for pickup and opened my box to moldy bread under the tender. This establishment charges way too much money to be giving customers bread with mold on it. I've came here a few times before and loved the food, but this time it wasn't so good. I ordered one of the combos with the hot spice level and was disappointed to find that the chicken wasn't spicy at all. From the previous times I've eaten here, I only got the hot spice level, so I could immediately tell the difference. I was confused, but I kept eating hoping that one of the tenders would be spicy. Nope, not in the slightest bit! The food was good enough to finish, but I wasn't satisfied knowing that I didn't get the spicy sensation that I expected. read more

This is what a Nashville hot chicken sandwich is supposed to be…read more Unlike a lot of the chains like Dave's where it can basically feel like a chicken tender thrown into a bun, Scratch serves a huge, thick piece of actual chicken breast. The portions are serious, the chicken is juicy, and the breading has a great crunch. What really sets them apart for me is the spice. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.

Unfortunately, the cashier and two other employees told us they were no longer allowing dine-in customers because they were getting ready to close, despite there still being about 40 minutes before the restaurant's posted closing time. We were turned away and never had the opportunity to enjoy a meal. As a business owner in Silicon Valley for decades, I understand that employees need time to clean and prepare for closing. However, if your advertised business hours say you're open until 9:00 PM, customers should reasonably expect to be able to dine in until then or at the very least, until a clearly posted dine-in cutoff time. If the restaurant no longer accepts dine-in customers after 7:40 or 8:00 PM, that policy should be clearly communicated online, on the front door, and in the posted business hours. Otherwise, customers are making the trip expecting the full dining experience only to be turned away. For anyone planning to visit, I'd recommend arriving at least 1-2 hours before closing if you want to dine in. Otherwise, you may not be seated even though the restaurant is technically still open. I hope management reviews this policy because it creates a disappointing first impression and can easily drive away potential returning customers.

So, there I was, standing in front of Chicken Drip. When I first saw the sign, I thought the chicken's head was an 'F'. But let's not dive into my alphabet soup confusion. I ventured into this culinary wonderland with a fellow foodie and we tackled the sandwich from combo 2. It was like climbing a food mountain! They even threw in extra fries, because why not? Now, let's talk about their hot sauce. I usually wrestle with spice like a pro, but their mild sauce was hotter than a summer in the Sahara. I'm glad I didn't venture into the 'Fire' or the 'Hottest' territory, because that would've been like stealing the juiciness from the chicken. The sauce was so good, I took some home. When I ran out, I mixed in a little mayo, because I suspect it's mayo's long-lost cousin with a little spunk. The fries were so good, they could've won a beauty pageant. The sandwich was tastier than a grandma's secret recipe. They offered us extra fries, which was like winning the lottery. The seasoning is packed with flavor and the sauce is similar to Cane's sauce but a lot better!! The crinkle fries are to die for - always perfectly seasoned, hot, and crispy. I recommend Mild for a non-spicy option that still packs a ton of flavor, and Medium for a moderate kick. We always order 1 extra sauce per person and it's 100% worth the extra 50 cents. I went there late at night, it's right next to the airport and the soccer stadium. The food was good and the staff are friendly. The food is Halal if that important to you, the place seems pretty new, the employee said it was opened just about a year ago. And before that they operated out of a food truck for a few years. It's spicier than Dave's Hot Chicken, the sauce is good and they give you a decent amount. It is pretty pricey at around $10 a slider though, that's the only thing that turns me away and keeps me from coming back more often. read more

Food is ok. They never have the hottest levels in the kitchen, so I don't understand why include it in the menu. FYI they don't consistently honor their hours posted so if you can't make it early don't bother driving you may not get served. And when they apologize for not serving you, it always seems like they relish it.
