I came in to try the spicy pork sandwich but tried the bulgogi sandwich because they were out of spicy pork. The owner and cook greeted me as I entered and offered to help me come up with a Plan B, which I would've appreciated if the bulgogi hadn't already been calling to me. The sandwich is simple but perfect. Just a few ingredients: meat, lettuce, onions, pickled jalapeños, and melted cheese on a soft and an unassuming French roll. The meat, which is perfectly tender, marinated, and just sweet and complex enough is balanced well by a good meat to bread ratio, spice and acidity for the jalapeños, and a hint of crunchiness and freshness from the lettuce and onions, all brought together by the richness brought from a moderate amount of cheese. Each bite is soft, flavorful, and harmonious. I normally only eat half of my sandwich, but I couldn't help myself and ate the whole thing in one setting. In addition to sandwiches, this spot also has rice plates and wraps. I'm gonna have to be back to try those all, and definitely this sandwich as well too. This place is just awesome. I've come here twice already during my lunch breaks and really enjoyed the sandwiches and small talk with the general manager. So far I've tried their bulgogi and spicy pork sandwiches. It may look simple but the ingredients are good quality and both meats pack a ton of flavor. If I had to choose I would lean more towards the bulgogi but that's just personal preference. I also got an order of musubi to share. The spam was generously thick and so was the glaze, which I appreciate. The rice was warm and fluffy, too. It was difficult however, to eat with your hands so use a fork/knife. It's such a "hole in the wall" location, but it's one of those locations where it lives up to the saying, "hole in the wall food places are the best." I mentioned to the person taking my order that it was my first time. He welcomed me in very kindly, explained the menu, and how long I was going to wait even being very busy. I have only had the Bulgogi sandwich here, but oh my god! It was so good! I want to go back and try their breakfast burritos. I was driving through a large warehouse area when the sign for their restaurant caught my eye. There are a couple of hidden gems tucked into this area and the Yelp! reviews were great, so I knew I had to check it out. I called in my order while I was out picking up drawings for work. This was around 1:00 pm, so I think I missed the lunch rush. The man on the phone was nice and ordering was easy. I had found pics of the menu on Yelp! and I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich based on the reviews. When I arrived I was able to park right in front of the restaurant. The place was very clean and they were very friendly. My order was ready and it was a quick and easy transaction. I, of course, added extra cheese to my sandwich and they did not disappoint. So many places charge you for extra cheese and when you get it home it's barely even a regular serving of cheese. Not with this place! The bread was soft and fresh. The Bulgogi was tender (no gristle or hard to eat pieces), the salty/sweet flavors were balanced perfectly, and the jalapeños added a nice, spicy kick. They also added fresh lettuce and red onion. When I first sat down to eat my sandwich I thought I would devour the entire thing. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. I ate half and was perfectly full. I ate the other half the next day for dinner (just did a quick reheat in my air fryer) and it somehow tasted even better. I am not usually a fan of sweet dishes, but the Bulgogi was perfect and this is a sandwich I will crave and definitely get again. I love finding places that make food you crave. They put the perfect amount of the spicy sauce in the burrito to not be overwhelming but included an extra little cup on the side if you want to spice it up! Service was also great. It also could have been because I went towards the end of the week, at the end of the lunch rush- It's Lunch Time is only open on the weekdays from 10:30am-2:30pm. I stopped by around 2pm on a Friday, and called in my order ahead of time (they estimated 10 minutes for my order to be ready). It's Lunch Time is a small shop located in a semi-industrial area. Make sure you follow your GPS so you don't miss it! They have a small menu, but they had a lot of chips and drink options to go along with your meal. The menu is not too big but you do have options and there's plenty of variety. They offer sandwiches, Bibimbap, teriyaki plates and wraps. I decided to go with the Bibimbap which came with Bulgogi, rice, veggies and a hot chili sauce. The portion was huge!! They definitely do not skimp on the portion size or the meat as it as loaded with Bulgogi. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the rice was cooked perfectly, the veggies were sliced thin and very fresh. While I'm not a lover of spicy things, the hot chili sauce was definitely a nice addition and took the flavor over the top. I enjoyed the food and my entire experience here. This has become my Friday lunch spot when in the office. It's in a very unassuming spot, and the interior is very simple, and the owner is welcoming. This honestly is the style you can expect from the sandwiches. They are simple, well made, and delicious. When you unwrap a sandwich it will look like something you'd expect to see in an advertisement, with fantastic flavor. The cost is a few dollars above what I'd want to pay, but considering it is a small business, I can understand the reason for the cost. TLDR: 5-star service, 5-star food! I just can't help but give this place 5-stars. I mean, sincerely, the owner is the absolute nicest, friendliest, most humble guy... I dunno, I ever met? He's even nicer than the coffee guy in Sonoma (see my previous review on that). I could spend paragraphs describing how humble he is. But I'll just give one example. When we told him how we found his place on Yelp, with all these 5 stars, he simply blushed and said that he has some very loyal customers, and he's grateful that they would spend up to a quarter of their lunch break (15 min), just driving to his restaurant to eat. How wonderful is that answer??? The place is small and it's in the middle of a bunch of other industrial companies, such as auto repair and machine shops. The menu is very small, which is perfectly fine. I always tell my wife, as long as a restaurant does ONE thing better than anyone else, they will always have customers. I truly believe that. My wife got the teriyaki plate, while I tried their chicken sandwich. We were the only ones there around 1:30p (place closes at 2:30p). As far as I could tell it was just the owner and another lady, possibly his wife? Within a short time, maybe around 5 minutes, we got our stuff. He even gave us 2 plates, so that we could share the teriyaki, which was a sweet thought, but unnecessary, since my wife doesn't like sandwiches. Both portions were quite big. It was interesting that for the teriyaki plate, she got 2 versions of salad, one portion with Ranch, and the other with Thousand Island. She said she would have preferred maybe a more Korean or Asiany dressing, like a pumelo dressing or roasted sesame mayo. But that's just a small thing. Her chicken was quite juicy, and it also had a nice smoky flavor, not sure whether it's from the chicken or the teriyaki sauce. But she really liked it. I had the chicken sandwich, which was HUGE. I think I would normally just eat half and be fine, but on that day we had a lot of errands to run, so I decided to just finish the other half as well. The sandwich was toasted, and the meat was cooked, while the veggies were crispy and cold. It was a very homey sandwich, and I really enjoyed it as well. The owner even wet some napkins for us, kinda like wet-naps, so we could clean up after ourselves. That was super thoughtful of him! We chatted a bit after that, and we left with a good feeling. Unless you worked in the area or are a yelper, you probably would never see this place because it's tucked in a very industrial area with extremely limited parking. But man is it a diamond in the rough. Walking in, it's a super simple place with a few tables and not much else. A man (who i am assuming is the owner) was extremely kind and greeted us upon arrival. Recognizing that we were first timers, he took his time to explain each item on the menu. He's a 1 man show in the front and back of the house I think, so he's definitely busting ass to provide a great experience for his guests. I ordered the Bulgogi Sandwich which was absolutely heavenly. Everything about it was amazing, I wouldn't have changed anything. The bread was crunchy on top but was soft in the middle, the bulgogi meat was perfectly seasoned and tender and had melty cheese blanketing it. What really stood out to me was the pickled jalapeños on the sandwich, it provided this spicy acidity that played well with the sweet and salty flavors of the bulgogi. You can tell the ingredients are extremely fresh and the dishes are prepared to order. I was extremely satisfied with my sandwich, which was a generous portion btw, and look forward to coming back for the teriyaki chicken plate as well. Upon leaving, the owner was gracious and thanked us for giving his business a try and I ensured him that I would definitely be back. These are the types of people who I love giving my money to.
