Ordered ahead via DoorDash and my food was ready right on time. While I was on my way, my son texted that he wanted a burrito too, so I placed a second order when I arrived and waited for that. The server was very attentive and polite. Once she recognized me from my first order, she brought out the second burrito without even needing my name, even though it was busy during lunch. That little bit of attention to detail was really appreciated. I like ordering from Iguanas because they let you choose your tortilla and beans, which a lot of other places don't bother with. The burrito was a generous size--my wife and I actually split one and we were both totally satisfied. I'll definitely be back and I'm glad this place is around. Sources read more

Pretty good, just like the original but better. The staff is chill, they offer more items than the original Iguanas. They even have the orange sauce but spicier! Not bad if you miss that Iguanas taste. Good stuff Iguanas Santa Clara, keeping the spirit alive. read more

Aight this one is a little iffy.... First of all - I guess they reset this page?? I've been here 1000 times and taken photos and posted 1000 reviews. Okay, that's a lie, but still, there is something f***y going on here. Anyway, yeah, the quality was quite bleh last I ate here. Like, the burrito was good, but I kinda feel like my burrito went from Pollo Asada to boiled chicken in the last bite. F'n crazy and weird, right? Iono, it just felt that way. Or maaaayyybeee, I was reading the reviews all pooping all over this place, and my mind was like, "what a second, something IS wrong here!" Who knows, coulda been a one-off, or maybe they just suck now? Better try a few more times and get back to ya ;) read more

First time around, they cancelled my order 2 hours after it had been scheduled for delivery; citing lack of eggs at 11am on a Saturday. Oh wow... I tried this place but realized afterwards in the comments below that it is NOT affiliated with the original chain! Makes sense because the burritos were tiny and the food was not up to par. It was like $15 for a tiny burrito. I feel super tricked right now. read more

This place is the definition of just how terrible customer service is these days. To be very organized I went in and put in a big order two hours before I needed it to allow the place enough time to get it all ready and do it correctly. When I picked up the order and took it back to the hotel where my students were having an academic competition, an entire part of the order was missing. When I called and asked someone to deliver it because I had already walked there and back and was supposed to be there with my students, the girl at the counter said that nobody would be able to do that and if I wanted the order, I would have to walk all the way back again. I said that if I were to have to walk all the way back again with that level of inconvenience after having been the organized one and given them enough time to do this order, they should be removing it from the check. She refused. I then asked to speak to the manager or supervisor. She said there was no manager or supervisor working. What kind of a business does not have a manager or supervisor? I asked when the manager or supervisor would arrive and she first said Monday and then changed and said Tuesday. Today is Friday. The amount of corruption in customer service these days is terrible. This business exhibits it to the MAX degree. It's worth it to find a different place to get burritos than come here. read more

I requested that each flauta be cut in half and all the toppings packed separately in different containers. My requests were happily granted with a warm smile and the Flautas, filled with shredded chicken, were fried to a perfectly golden crisp. Too bad that I live too far from Lupita's to frequent. I would love to return to dine in, especially now that they double as a taquería and panadería.

The food at this Mexican restaurant is absolutely delicious. The flavors are authentic, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients with lots of seasoning. The tacos, traditional dishes, and even the appetizers have that homemade touch that makes you feel like you're in Mexico. The portions are generous, and the prices are very fair for the quality. The meat pieces were hard and smelled funny. I'm disappointed because I would love to have a good place to eat in the neighborhood. I don't usually like to make any comments or like to critique food, but I think if I can't even eat the burrito it's worth telling others to save your money. Sorry, I have given you another chance but it's not even close to mediocre. Hard pass.

The mac itself was a bit bland, but everything out together was not bad. They had what seemed like no AC or proper ventilation when we went and it was so warm! Ironically, they have a lot more seating than your average taco truck, and the area is very well lit. For $16, I got four tacos (al pastor, cabeza, lengua, and tripa), and they take card, which is always a plus. The al pastor was easily the standout. It was well seasoned with great flavor, and the pineapple added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the meat. The cabeza was fattier than I expected, though that could've just been because I came near closing. It was tender, rich, and good enough that I'd order it again to see how it compares on another visit. The lengua fell a little short. It was cooked well, and I liked that they sliced it into long strips instead of the usual cubes, but it was blander than I anticipated. The tripa was interesting. If you're expecting crispy tripa, this isn't that style. It's served soft and tender instead, which isn't my personal preference, but it was still solid for that preparation. The salsa bar was also pretty good. My favorites were the salsa verde and the orange salsa. The verde added a nice brightness that paired especially well with the richer meats, while the orange salsa packed some serious heat that lingered, so a little goes a long way. Overall, this spot exceeded my expectations despite all the hype, and I'd definitely come back to work through more of the menu.
