Grabbed a giant flavored lemonade. I ordered the Alambre A La Mexicana. It had some tasty mushrooms and very flavorful steak. You can see a layer of seasoning. Horrible management/manager. We came in a family of 6, ordered 5 meals. That was barely anyone there and the food left out on the buffet, we were told that it was from couple hours ago. No cover, cold and flies are over it. We drove in late, we didn't realized the server had over charged until we settled down in our destination 3 hours after. We called the next day trying to get it resolved. Was told to call back at 4. Called back and 5 and was told the manager had to leave, told to call back the next day at 11. Called back at 11:10, spoke with the "manager". She called me a lier and said we had to go back the restaurant to prove. We explained we were just drove by and dined at that place. She was so rude and scream over the phone and kept calling me a lier, even it was their fault. read more

Food was very, very good. Service was good. The new buffet did not look enticing so we ordered from the menu. Birria tacos and the Mexican rice were the best I have ever had. Guac, salsa, and queso were very good also. Would highly recommend this new restaurant on the Arkansas side. read more

I walked over to this restaurant as it was next to the motel I was staying at. I came in and decided to sit at the bar. I wanted a frozen margarita but was told they only offer beer and wine... ok, (Mexican restaurant w/o margaritas?) so i looked in the menu and they offered 22 oz draft in chilled glass... tried to order but was told that they didn't have draft???? So.... ordered a bottled beer. I ordered a mix plate consisting of an enchilada, a chalupa, and a taco with rice/beans. The food was mediocre. I think a frozen mexican dinner from a supermarket microwaved would have tasted better. Service was average... I had to ask for water. When the check came, they had a surcharge on the bill. I asked what that was for and they told me it was using a credit charge!!! I have never seen that done my entire life. Don't go here. read more

I've eaten at big-city fancy-schmancy Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants as well as all the drive-thru fast-food chains. Chilango's is neither. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I found Chilango's to be comfortable, pleasant, and affordable with quick service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The building is a newer building with new furniture, fresh paint, even shiny new flatware, so it is clean as well as brightly decorated.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] TVs were playing sports channels. The food was tasty. I had both spinach and cheese enchiladas and they had some added creativity and spice that I wasn't expecting. We also ordered a small guacamole dip for the complimentary chips. Complimentary salsa had a medium heat which works for me. My companion felt his chicken enchiladas were better than those from On the Border. Our waiter was very attentive. We are only visiting in Texarkana for a few days, but we are considering a return visit before we leave. Good value for our money. read more

I liked this restaurant when it was new years ago and it was fresh. Now they are putting canned meat in the burritos and tacos, the white queso was watered down clumpy like gravy and had no flavor. Then when my cousins taco salad was served it was sitting in a bat of it liquid making the shell soggy and not eatable. When I asked the manager to fix the issue and take the plate off the ticket he refused to take it off or discount the plate. i did not yell or use a hostile tone just that this meal was bad and we needed to be compensated. He then told us we needed to order something else in its place. But everyone at the table had complained about things already and we not pleased w food or service. So how are we supposed to order another plate where we are leavin? I just advise that yall not go here any more it's very bland and canned processed meats. read more

We were in town and tried this place for lunch. I realize it was a Sunday but it seems the employees kids hung out there and were crawling all over the floors and yelling. This lasted for the better part of the hour we were there. My husband had the beef fajitas and I had the chili Colorado. Let's just say there were more vegetables in the fajitas and only 6 pieces of thin chewy steak in the fajitas and they had no seasoning. The chili Colorado seems to use the thin slices of chewy steak. I need to wait til I get to Colorado to order this dish. Not good. Not happy about what we ordered and would not revommend it. New Tex-Mex in Texarkana. Awaiting liquor license. Stopped in on our way back to Houston. Right, Houston is home to the Worlds BEST Mexican restaurants so not much chance for a good review on this one. We ordered fajitas and quesadillas. Food portions were plentiful but quality/taste was disappointing. Our server was extremely rude when asked questions; seemed bothered by us. Not likely to stop at this one again. We heard from several people that this place was amazing and it did not disappoint! The staff was so friendly and accommodating... and the food was perfect. We ordered quesadillas, tacos salads, and chimichangas. All incredible!!! We will absolutely be back soon and often. read more

Great food and customer service. The salsa was great, as was the super burrito, which definitely lives up to the name. Highly recommend.
