The vegetables were very fresh and their Magic Sauce (spicy mayo) will add a final kick of flavors to complete your craving. Their kimchi fries was also flavorful and we loveeee how the fries were extra crunchy so they didn't get soggy with all the wet ingredients, but it was quite very small for the price $10. The service was good even though there was not really much communication needed. The space was clean and new as expected. While the food was great, everything seems to be overpriced for the portions they give. Many ingredients are upcharged in addition to the base cost. I have had the good fortune to eat here twice, both times using Favor. So while I cannot speak to the ambiance or service, I can say without reservation that the food is excellent. This is one of those cushion places where you didn't know the world needed it until you had it, and now it's unforgettable. I love the Siam wraps, using noodle as the base for a burrito is brilliant. The queso is also excellent and another great infusion of Korean flavor in a traditionally Tex-Mex delivery system. I'm also a big fan of their mint and peace tea. Well, I arrived here by accident, while looking for Milk & Sugar Ice Cream (but at a different location). Reading all the information is fundamental! However, it was dinner time. The picture of their carnitas bowl caught my attention. The restaurant was pretty quiet with customers coming steadily for pickup orders. I placed my order for my carnitas bowl. The order line is cafeteria style. Customers are able to customize their items to their liking. Service was great! The cashier took my bowl to my table as well as got my drink from the soda fountain. My food was delicious!!! Definitely worthy of a return trip. Next time I'll bring in my seat cushion, because the chairs are hard, which my back doesn't like. I do feel with the all gender restrooms, more care needs to be taken to assure the restroom is well maintained. I spent several minutes cleaning beforehand. I enjoyed Chi'lantro! It is very similar to a chipotle/ cava where the employees make your food in front of you and let you pick your options. It is a very casual, fast food kind of scene where all of the workers are very friendly. I opted for a bowl with the spicy chicken, caramelized kimchi, carrots, corn and tortilla chips dressed with magic sauce. I really enjoyed the flavor in the chicken but wish I picked a different sauce. The magic sauce is a mayonnaise based dressing so it was very thick. I've been craving bulgogi fries lately, so I was excited that this Korean-style Chipotle place open nearby! I tried their kimchi fries and added what essentially is bulgogi but was a bit disappointed. The meat was very salty yet lacked flavors. My husband also ordered the Japchae con Queso bowl to try and the spicy pork there was a lot better. The noodles were flavorful and overall texture was balanced. The service overall is attentive and friendly. Although, it seemed the manager was trying really hard to give this influencer special treatments and at one point shushed the employee who was helping the girl picking out her base. I thought that's pretty tacky and maybe need to re-evaluate the company's culture. For this I would like to give them a 2. But I would like to come back and try other stuff one day and hopefully experience something better and update this review. read more

Chi'Lantro has finally made it's way to Houston! Growing up in Austin, I've had Chi'Lantro quite a few times and am glad it has now opened here. I came for their grand opening and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The staff were super friendly, offering drinks to us while we were standing outside in line, answering our questions, and serving us efficiently. I love both Korean and Mexican food, so this is the perfect place to get both at the same time. I also love the concept of being able to build your own bowl- personal favorite base is the japchae noodles with either Korean BBQ or spicy chicken as the choice of protein. You can also order one of their pre-selected bowls. I do think Chi'Lantro is kind of pricey, but overall, the food is great! read more

My only complaint is that the chicken tasted like it had been sitting out for quite some time, which isn't ideal for fried food. The amount of pork on the other bowl seemed like very little. I've been eating the kimchi fries for years back from the food truck days but wanted to review the take out restaurant experience I had: placed an order on (what I assume was probably) a busy Friday evening. Got home and realized our chips and queso were missing. A little disappointed but not a huge deal, just wanted it taken off the bill. Immediately called and asked for a refund on the item and unfortunately didn't hear back right away. It took a few calls but when I did hear from the general manager he apologized, said it should have been taken care of and refunded the whole meal for the hassle. I'll double check my order next time before walking out but will definitely be back because I know they take care of their customers and the food is so worth it! read more
