Indian Pueblo Kitchen is serving native sourced Pueblo inspired food in a charming space inside the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Staff were helpful with recommendations, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive during dining. FOOD 5/5 prime rib fry bread, red chili Au jus (subtlety spicy), served with a side of green chili ranch salad was outstanding 4/5 Elk chili was good with generous beans and a sprinkle of raw red onions - it's less viscous and less spiced than an American chili

If you're debating where to go, just come here. We had it for the first time today- we got the Elk Stew & Chicken Enchiladas Christmas style (half red, half green). Everything was 10/10 we felt completely satisfied & nourished.happy with every aspect of our meal. We got the specialty soda, the kola & the sandia. Yum. Service was wonderful, we had an overall easeful experience. Our server was happy to suggest some items and came to check on us with a smile. Ambiance is quaint and simple. It's beside the museum, so it kind of feels like that.

A+ for the service A for food - blue corn enchiladas & steak - complex flavor on enchilada sauce, very delicious -- and the kitchen nailed the correct temp for steak. The interior is a bit museum-sterile but the earth time tones warm it up a little. The patio has more charm, weather-permitting. They also appear to host private events and larger parties.

This restaurant is located in the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. We came to see some dancers and tour the museum, couldn't pass up Native American food! Shared the elk chili and the Indian taco. Finished off with the bread pudding. The elk chili had great layers of flavor and lots of meat. The fry bread was good and the beans were so delicious. The bread pudding came with loads of fresh berries

We tried the Huevos Rancheros, Santa Fe Burger, small Elk Chili with Blue Corn Bread Muffins. All was delicious, glad we made it here for the Kitchen and for the museum and special event they held. It was a long wait for the our food, possibly due to it being so busy after GON, but our waitress did her best with all the tables she had to tend to & gave us some chips and salsa on the house. The food was definitely worth the wait.

We didn't have time to visit the museum, but we definitely made time for the restaurant! We arrived around 4 p.m. for an early dinner/late lunch and were seated right away. We shared the Indian taco, blue corn-battered onion rings, waffles with a side of spam, and a harvest salad for good measure. The standout dishes were definitely the Indian taco and those incredible onion rings. It was crispy, flavorful, and with a distinct blue corn taste. The waffles were a bit bland, and the salad was just average. Our waitress recommended the Pueblo cookie, but unfortunately, it was dry and lacked flavor. Still, we'd come back just for those onion rings alone! Service was excellent, and we also got to try the local Zia drink in the Sandia flavor, which was a nice touch.

Had a lovely lunch on a sunday. The building is so beautiful. Open and inviting. Tons of seating. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and took fabulous care of us. There is a large menu with choices for everyone. We will certainly be back!

We happened upon this while in Albuquerque for the day. DO NOT miss!! What a neat place for a meal. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. What a cultural experience! Don't miss the Blue Corn Onion Rings too!

I came here to eat a very late lunch after visiting the cultural center. There is a separate entrance and parking lot if you are exclusively coming to eat. I had heard good things about coming here and I was interested in their menu which has some meals specializing in native local cuisine w an emphasis on meals made using ingredients indigenous to the Americas. I came in around 3 pm on a Saturday and this place was packed. I didn't have a reservation and was still able to walk in and immediately be seated as a party of 1 but families of 4+ had to wait to find seating. Service was slow but I imagine this was related to them being busy. Indian Taco 3/5, ultimately decided on this as I wanted to try fry bread for the first time and I think I will simply have to try it again because this was kind of soggy (likely due to the sauces and food). I ordered this w ground beef and green chili which was supposed to be spicy and this was mild at most

Food was hot and tasty and I love ed the house seasoning on the table. Attached to a small visitors center, it's worth a visit!

Visiting Indian Pueblo Kitchen is a dining experience unlike any other New Mexican restaurant. The menu conveys historic Native American dishes with culinary creativity. I ordered the Indian Taco. It was huge and would be plenty for two people to share. It was really good and very filling. The service was great! Maybe next time I'll get some pies to go!

Stopped by the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and grabbed lunch at their Kitchen restaurant. It was packed on a Tuesday afternoon, but service was friendly and quick. There's plenty of parking available, which is always nice. We tried a few fun and unique items: Blue Corn Onion Rings (half order was $10) - they were nice and crispy and served with a tasty green chile ranch. I really liked these - you could really taste the corn flavor. Kool-Aid Fried Pickles ($10) - these pickle slices were marinated in black cherry Kool-Aid, crusted in blue corn, and also served with the same green chile ranch. They were sour, salty, and very unique - not sure if I will ever see this again elsewhere... New Mexico Chile Cheese Fries ($10) - the fries were topped with melted cheese and we opted for both red and green chile. It was a standard but satisfying dish. Indian Taco ($16 + $5 for ground lamb) - these were served on housemade fried bread with beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and both red and green chile. The fried bread was great, but the taco overall probably could have used a bit more acidity or spice. Zia Native American Sodas ($4.25 each) - we tried the Sandia (watermelon, mint, lime) and Piñon Cola (roasted piñon nut, kola nut, and lime). The Sandia was a bit too mild for me, but the Piñon Cola had a nice molasses-like depth. Also these sodas were both under 100 calories and made with natural ingredients. Overall, this is a nice spot to try creative and authentic New Mexican and Native American food with local ingredients.

Just a quick little stopping place as you leave or enter the concourse. Super nice staff. Just ordered up something small to get me by until my next destination, so I ordered up some of their house chips & salsa along w/an order of their Fried Kool Aid Pickles. Blue corn crusted pickle slices marinated in black cherry Kool-Aid and battered with blue corn. Comes with green chile ranch. They weren't as weird as I thought they would be. Love the blue corn crusting & the green chile ranch is a brilliant touch. It's a part of a food court type setting, & the only bathroom in the whole area is right next door to them.

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

It has a very unique decor up front, with a river rock wall and two River Rock booths. I'm not sure how comfortable they are, but they sure look cool. There's a round bar up front and high top tables in the bar area. Walk a little further back into the dining room where there are standard tables. It also looks like there's another dining room toward the back but I didn't check that out. There's also patio seating in a big courtyard. It is a really lovely patio. Our server started us off with a sample of one of the red wines that comes from their winery. I don't usually like red wine very much, but I did love this wine and ordered a glass. They have a full bar and the other people in my party ordered cocktails. The server brought out some bread and butter to start is off. The menu has a little bit of everything for everyone - - there was some pasta, pot roast, fish, and even a burger. We ordered: *Rainbow trout with mango salsa, jasmine rice, and asparagus. Two of us ordered the trout, but I substituted my jasmine rice with mashed potatoes. *Country pot roast with mashed potatoes and brown gravy *Schnitzel with mashed potatoes and broccolini *Southwest meatloaf with mashed potatoes and The manager came to our table to see if everything was okay. I really appreciate when a manager does that. We had a really nice meal and a nice place and the price was very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this place.

When we walked onto the patio and took in those sweeping views of the Sandias, I was ready to love this place. Los Poblanos has all the ingredients of a truly special dining experience: a gorgeous setting, a thoughtful farm-to-table ethos, and a menu that promises something above the ordinary. Which is exactly why the evening's annoying missteps were so disappointing. Service was well intentioned but unpolished. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and, at times, unfamiliar with the menu -- a problem when guests are asking genuine questions about the food and wine. We ordered bread which came before our drinks were served. Wine service was inconsistent. I ordered an Albariño by the glass - 6 oz. My sister ordered the Cabernet listed on the menu as a recommended pairing for her entrée, priced at $11. After we placed our drink orders, the waiter returned to inform her that the menu price was incorrect -- the wine was actually $18. She agreed to proceed. He then asked whether she wanted "a half glass or a full glass," which is an oddly imprecise question at a restaurant whose menu specifies pours in 3, 6, and 9 oz increments. She said half glass. What arrived was 3 oz of wine in a small serving carafe, which the waiter simply poured into her glass -- no bottle presented, no taste offered. My own Albariño, by contrast, was brought to the table in the bottle with a proper taste before pouring. The disparity in service between the two of us was striking. A simple, clear statement -- "3 oz of this wine is $18, not $11; would you still like it?" -- would have resolved everything cleanly. Instead, the vague "half or full glass" framing left my sister without the information she needed to make an informed choice. For what it's worth, the wine itself was extraordinarily tannic -- borderline undrinkable -- and I would have sent it back. My nephew ordered a top shelf whiskey. The waiter told him "we don't have that". My nephew said "it's on your menu" to which the waiter responded "oh, let me check on that". There seemed to be too many instances of the waiter running back to the bar to check on stuff. Anyway, it was available. The waiter apologized. We ordered the bread which was served before our drinks arrived. Food took about an hour which is fine - I don't have an issue with that but during that time we never saw the waiter again. I ordered the soup of the day - potato and leek which was delicious. Followed by the blackberry salad, which was my main course. Both arrived simultaneously, with the salad placed in front of me and the soup set to the side as an afterthought. At a restaurant at this price point, the expectation that soup precedes salad is not an eccentricity -- it is simply correct service. When I expressed my surprise, the servers seemed genuinely puzzled, which suggests this may be a training gap rather than an isolated incident. As for the salad itself -- it was pleasant, but pleasant is not enough here. The blackberry salad was the kind of thing you might enjoy at a well-run casual chain: competently assembled, inoffensive, and forgettable. At a farm-to-table restaurant with access to exceptional local ingredients, I expect the plate to reflect that -- more intentional presentation, more layered flavors, something that is more elevated than what was presented. This one didn't. The gap between the setting and what landed on the table was wider than it should have been. My sister and nephews ordered the filet mignon and rib eye. Both arrived pre-sliced -- a presentation trend that has made its way into fine dining, though one that divides opinion. My concern, beyond personal preference, is practical: sliced meat loses heat faster, and at roughly $80 per entrée, guests should receive their steak in the condition that best showcases it. The quality was good, not exceptional. Los Poblanos is a restaurant with genuine promise and a setting that few can match. The concept is right; the execution needs work. The issues I encountered -- inconsistent wine service, course sequencing, and a discombobulated waiter-- are not kitchen problems. They are fixable. I hope the restaurant takes that seriously, because the bones here are excellent and the experience should be too.

This charming little bistro near the south end of Old Town is elegant, welcoming, and truly a hidden gem. Having convenient on-site parking was a nice bonus, and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. Our server, Christopher, made the evening even more memorable. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He also took the time to recommend several local restaurants and places to visit, which we really appreciated. We started with the mussels, and they were outstanding--fresh, tender, and served in a rich, spicy butter broth with perfectly toasted crusty bread for dipping. My cedar plank salmon was cooked beautifully, full of flavor, and paired with a delicious chorizo risotto. My husband ordered the filet mignon, and after trying a bite, I can understand why he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables were the perfect complement, and the fresh salad with homemade dressing was a great start to the meal. To top off the evening, the staff surprised me with a three-flavor sherbet dessert complete with a birthday candle and a thoughtful personalized birthday card. It was such a sweet touch that made me feel truly celebrated. We couldn't leave without trying the German chocolate cake, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dinner. Everything from the food to the service exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu the next time we're in town.
