We almost skipped this place because it wasn't very busy -- and I'm SO glad we didn't judge by first impressions. This spot surprised us in the best way and we'll definitely be back! Atmosphere & Parking: Clean interior with friendly staff. Huge plaza parking lot -- plenty of spaces and very easy to park. Service: Service was just okay. They forgot to bring us water at the beginning, and it seemed like there was only one server handling the whole restaurant. Food & Speed: Food came out incredibly fast -- about 10-15 minutes after ordering. Every dish was flavorful with the perfect level of spice (for me). Dishes We Ordered: Stir-Fried Bullfrog with Spicy Hunan Sauce 湘辣爆炒牛蛙 - My favorite dish! Even at medium spice, it was VERY spicy but soooo satisfying. Amazing flavor. Hot & Sour Shredded Potato 酸辣土豆丝 - Super delicious, exactly the style I love. Wintermelon & Pork Ribs Soup 冬瓜排骨汤 - Strong white pepper flavor, very comforting and tasty. I loved so much and even tried to make it at home. Fried Yellow Beef 小炒黄牛肉 - Just okay. I've had better versions at Hunan Chili King and 36 Array. Stir-Fried Green Beans with Pork Mince 干煸四季豆- Also just okay, nothing too memorable. Overall:Flavorful, spicy Hunan food with fast prep and great parking. A few dishes really stood out, especially the bullfrog. Despite minor service issues, this place is definitely worth trying -- don't let the quiet crowd fool you!

Brand new restaurant in the SGV. We clean inside with friendly staff. Food was just the perfect amount of spice if you ask me. Every was prep very fast and hit our table in under 5 mins from ordering! The twice cooked pork was my favorite and the bullfrog my wife's favor. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Don't be afraid about there just being a few customers as it is brand new. There was a ton of takeout orders being picked up by Panda.

Hi Everyone! I'm not an Elite Yelper but I am Elite Spicy Foodie l! Every other month, my spicy squad venture out to look for new spicy foods and we came upon this new place! The chef is from Hunan, and y'all, the Chef did not disappoint! Four of us came and ordered seven dishes because we wanted to try different flavors. We got the Stir fried lamb, spicy and sour lotus root, sweet and sour barramundi, spicy and sour fish fillet, fried chicken, braised pork belly with preserved veggies, fried crispy lettuce (it's celtuce folks). Yo all the dishes were really tasty and flavorful. However, I am going to warn you - it IS SPICY when you go Spicy. Like if you say Go Big Spicy, you will sweat. So if you want to taste your foods (and not wipe sweat at the same time), then go regular. Plenty of parking space!! Ok I must tell you this: we almost didn't go in because the place didn't have a lot of people in it. I am SO GLAD we didn't judge on first looks only. We tried it and we WILL be back!

Authentic Hunan Chinese food. Great if you like spicy food. Also prices are very fair and good size portions.

It's sooo delicious! I think it's the best Hunan restaurant around here. It's a pity that not many people know about it. The environment is also great, and there are private rooms, which are very unique. I heard that there will be a 40% discount on October 4th.

There are private rooms in the back on request if you have a larger party and seafood is always fresh as they have an aquarium with lobsters, crab, geoduck, and fish. The decor is charming with vintage trinkets along the side of the wall. There is a waiting area by the lobby and restrooms in the back of the restaurant. The 4 of us especially liked the white fish with basil and the shrimp with snow peas. The rice noodles with seafood and the kung pao were also good. That said, we like our food spicier, so we asked for chili oil and limes. Some dishes did have vegetables, but when I go again I'll order a vegetable dish. Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.

Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

When we arrived, a lady told us it would be another 15 minutes. Strange, considering the order had been placed an hour earlier and was already marked ready. We went outside to wait, and literally one minute later, the waitress came out with our food. I asked her politely if it had actually been ready before, and instead of simply explaining that there had been a mistake or misunderstanding with the order, she made a rude face and snapped "yes." I completely understand that mistakes happen. What bothered me was the attitude when I asked a simple question. I've worked as a server before, and basic manners and customer service really aren't that difficult. Honestly, the interaction left a really bad impression, and as someone who isn't Asian, I also couldn't help but wonder if there was some bias involved because of the way I was treated. I can't say that for certain, but that's genuinely how the interaction made me feel. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

We usually come here for lunch either before our massage or after our massage, so it has become one of our regular places. That day, we stopped by for lunch before our massage. I ordered my favorite dish here, the Shrimp with Cashews, and my friend ordered the Seafood Noodle. I've been coming to this restaurant many times, but surprisingly, this was the first time I had ever seen the Seafood Noodle on the menu. I was curious about what it was like because my friend told me it is one of her favorite dishes. So, that day, I finally got to see it for myself. It came with two pieces of fresh ramen noodles, vegetables that looked like bok choy, and seafood underneath, including what looked like squid. I tried a bite, but honestly, it wasn't really my taste. So, I mostly enjoyed my favorite Shrimp with Cashews with lots of rice. I ate quite a bit, but there were still plenty of shrimp left, so I told my friend to finish them. My friend ended up eating quite a lot of the shrimp, too. Another thing I really like about coming here for lunch is that they offer unlimited rice, which is always a nice bonus. After we finished our meal, they brought out complimentary oranges. The oranges are always so fresh and delicious, and I really enjoy having them at the end of the meal. The servers are also always friendly and attentive, and they are quick to bring anything we need, which was really good. Since we went around lunchtime that day, we also got to see the servers sitting together around a large round table, having their own meal. It was actually nice to see them all eating together during their break. Overall, Boston Lobster is always a reliable go-to spot for us, especially when we're in the area for a massage. The food is satisfying, the service is friendly, and the unlimited rice and fresh complimentary oranges are always a nice touch. Since my friend drove that day, I paid for both the lunch at this restaurant and the dessert we had at another place afterward.

Some of our food came out slightly more than room temperature which tells me that they probably have a lot of this pumping out. Nonetheless, the food was good. Our family enjoyed it with about nine dishes. We paid 650 with tax and tip.
