Their cold dish appetizers are the best here! My go tos are the spicy chili oil pork ears, beef, and braised pig head. I crave this dish about once a month because the contrasting textures of the tender meat, gelatinous skin, and crunchy cartilage makes a great snack.

Haven't been here in a while, but this review is mainly for their cold dish appetizer bar which is pretty popular. When I went there was a small line just for that section. The cold dishes are solid and they have a good variety of both vegetables and meats. I usually load up on about 3 items, mostly meat. My go tos are the chili oil pig ears, pork tongue, and the fuqi feipian (beef and tripe in chili oil). They also sell a bunch of frozen items like xiao long bao and dumplings if you want to take something home. Overall a really solid spot if you're craving these kinds of cold appetizers. Pair it with a bowl of rice and you're good.

I haven't dined in here yet, but a friend recommended this spot for their takeout appetizers and side dishes. You can choose three veggie options for only $9.99 plus tax, and they pack the container so full it looks like a little mountain! I've already stopped by twice recently. My go-to selections are the shredded potatoes, seaweed salad, cucumbers, tofu skin, mustard greens, oyster mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, and spicy tofu. They make great side dishes, or I'll just eat them with rice. The portion is so generous that it usually lasts my husband and me at least two meals. I'm hoping to come back soon to actually dine in and try their noodles and other menu items.

This review is just for the amazing selection of appetizer/cold dishes as we didn't have a chance to try out their noodles and other foods. They have a wide selections of vegetarian and meat appetizers, ranging from seaweed and dried tofu, to pig ears and gizzards. They have one standard size of to go boxes, and you can pick 1-3 either vegetarian or meat items for each box, the vegetarian box is $11.04 and meat box is $15.46 with tax. Service is prompt, the appetizers lasts a few days in the frig and taste is delicious! Parking: located in the same shopping center as the 168 Market, there are plenty of free parking.

One of the best restaurants for spicy but flavorful food. Their vegetarian hot and sour noodle soup is one of the best in town. The portions are also huge especially the noodles. It is a great item to share so you can try other dishes. Their stir fried veggies are always a hit and their service is always fast. It is a reasonable price restaurant.

Yunnan Restaurant in San Gabriel is similar to their original store in Monterey Park in their menu but their side dish counter is smaller with less items. You can choose 3 side meat dishes for $15 vegetarian for $11 or mix for $13. They pile on the items so definitely a good value. We usually get the signature Yunnan crossing bridge rice noodles. This location is smaller and not as popular as the Monterey Park store. Plenty of parking in the large shopping center.

First time trying this restaurant and I am so glad I did. We had the lamb dry pot and a tofu with seafood dis. The lamb dry pot is so flavorful and perfectly cooked, the tofu is tender and mildly flavored, perfectly balanced the spiciness of the lamb dry pot. We will be coming her more often since the price is very reasonable and portion is generous.

I underestimate how well done the majority of the hot dishes here are. The Spicy Boiled Fish is far more flavorful than the same dish at practically every other restaurant. It could be garlic, or MSG, but whatever it is works great. I like that it's not watery, but rather more saucey which goes well with rice. The Mapo Tofu is the most flavorful I've tried as well with the perfect balance of numbing, spicy, and other flavors. You really can't go wrong with any of the hot dishes. The cold dishes I feel could be tastier but they're adequate, while the cucumbers are quite a large chunk so it's not pleasant to bite.

100%漂亮饭!老板人很好,菜非常好吃!This restaurant is absolutely amazing. Everything I've tried here has been consistently delicious, and the quality never misses. The flavors are bold, the portions are generous, and you can tell real care goes into every dish. I loved it so much that I already know I'll be coming back again and again. Honestly, if I could, I'd order at least 100 Calderon steaks--that's how good it is. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a spot they'll want to make their new go-to.

The 4 of us especially liked the white fish with basil and the shrimp with snow peas. The rice noodles with seafood and the kung pao were also good. That said, we like our food spicier, so we asked for chili oil and limes. Some dishes did have vegetables, but when I go again I'll order a vegetable dish. Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.

Xiao Long Bao's flavor profile tasted more like steamed dumplings. Beef roll didn't taste as good as I remembered (probably because it had slightly less hoisin sauce), but it was still a good beef roll nonetheless. * Personally G4 Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon ($15.99) was a surprising discovery and an S-tier dish. Basically think of it as beef chow fun, but replace flat noodles with udon and add egg and bell pepper - excellent flavor profile. C3 Pan Fried Pork Bao (6 pieces - $13.00) were comparable to the ones from Kang Kang Food Court. 4.5 stars for the food with 4 items enough to feed 3 to 4 adults. I would say their noodle dishes like Beef Noodle Soup / Black Pepper Beef Fried Udon / Fujian Style Fried Vermicelli are slightly better than their dumpling dishes. Bump it up to 5-star for the excellent service. P.S. - There's another new location in Diamond Bar.

There are a few Canto cafés around here, but this one is definitely one of our favorites. Dim sum is pretty easy to find, but authentic Cantonese cafés are much more of a rare find. The lower reviews are probably due to the service, but in my opinion, a truly authentic Cantonese restaurant should have questionable service because that's exactly what you get at the good places in Hong Kong. The philosophy in Hong Kong is basically "food over service." If they're being too nice, they're probably overcompensating for something haha. Getting either the hot or iced milk tea or lemon tea is a MUST. It's the traditional way to do it, and they even offer unlimited refills! Just be warned that you might not sleep that night because Hong Kong-style tea is no joke when it comes to caffeine. Pro tip: If you get the lemon tea, you have to crush the lemons into the tea to get the right flavor! My friends and I are regulars here. They're open late, and the ambiance is so fun, with tables decorated with mahjong tiles and neon lights that basically scream Asia. The food is top tier and, in my opinion, some of the best Cantonese food you'll find in the U.S. Our go-to orders are the tomato baked rice dishes, stir-fried vegetables, 3-cup dishes, and brisket curries. For something sweet, we always share the classic Cantonese French toast with peanut butter inside or one of the pineapple buns. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for an authentic Canto café experience! :)

They kept switching out our plates whenever they got filled with empty shells, so we always had a clean plate. The inside was also pretty nice, and you can see all the fish and lobsters in the tanks. Overall, it was a great experience! Definitely on the pricier side, but we had a good time and the food and service made it worth it. Food was everything we expected! We got: Steamed turbo fish 10/10 - it was really flavorful and the ginger and onions on top was an amazing touch. Clams w basil - was very good and fresh. We couldn't stop eating it 10/10 House special lobster - was fire!! It was very easy to take out the shell and it was so tasty. Would definitely recommend! 100/10 French beef - not the star of the show but still was really flavorful! 9/10 Sour soup - it was a good soup and tasted like all the other sour soup nothing too special :) 8/10 Ong choy - we needed some vegetable on the table and steamed ong choy w garlic was really good and refreshing. 10/10 Fried rice - matched w everything we were eating 9/10

We usually come here for lunch either before our massage or after our massage, so it has become one of our regular places. That day, we stopped by for lunch before our massage. I ordered my favorite dish here, the Shrimp with Cashews, and my friend ordered the Seafood Noodle. I've been coming to this restaurant many times, but surprisingly, this was the first time I had ever seen the Seafood Noodle on the menu. I was curious about what it was like because my friend told me it is one of her favorite dishes. So, that day, I finally got to see it for myself. It came with two pieces of fresh ramen noodles, vegetables that looked like bok choy, and seafood underneath, including what looked like squid. I tried a bite, but honestly, it wasn't really my taste. So, I mostly enjoyed my favorite Shrimp with Cashews with lots of rice. I ate quite a bit, but there were still plenty of shrimp left, so I told my friend to finish them. My friend ended up eating quite a lot of the shrimp, too. Another thing I really like about coming here for lunch is that they offer unlimited rice, which is always a nice bonus. After we finished our meal, they brought out complimentary oranges. The oranges are always so fresh and delicious, and I really enjoy having them at the end of the meal. The servers are also always friendly and attentive, and they are quick to bring anything we need, which was really good. Since we went around lunchtime that day, we also got to see the servers sitting together around a large round table, having their own meal. It was actually nice to see them all eating together during their break. Overall, Boston Lobster is always a reliable go-to spot for us, especially when we're in the area for a massage. The food is satisfying, the service is friendly, and the unlimited rice and fresh complimentary oranges are always a nice touch. Since my friend drove that day, I paid for both the lunch at this restaurant and the dessert we had at another place afterward.
