    Beef roll

Came here for dinner with my family on a Sunday night. We came an hour before closing so there wasn't a wait. We ordered the cucumber with xo sauce, beef wrap, pork xlb, scallops with lemon dressing, cold sesame noodle, wonton soup, stir fried brisket noodle and the wagyu beef Chinese burger. We ordered- Cucumber with xoxo sauce: it was fresh and crisp and xo sauce was tasty with a hint of spice. Beef wrap: I personally didn't try the beef wrap but family enjoyed it. Kurobuta pork soup dumplings: the dumplings were just ok for me. Pork was tender but I felt it wasn't as juicy as others that I've tried (it may be better to eat right away) Scallops with lemon dressing: this dish was interesting wasn't a huge fan of the type of spice that was put in the sauce. Green beans with xoxo sauce: can't go wrong with the green beans. It's salty and garlicky and packed with flavor Cold sesame noodle: noodles were tasty and cooked perfectly Wonton soup: the soup was refreshing and delicious Stir fried brisket noodle: didn't really taste anything special about this dish. Basically a stir fried chow mein with thicker noodles. Wagyu Chinese burger: this was probably my favorite dish. Meat was fatty and tender and has a lot of flavor and the bread was soft and flakey Ambiance was nice and cozy and service was good.

Such yummy soup dumplings! It's filled with a bunch of broth so be careful when you bite! The green beans had a nice crunch and were cooked perfectly with tons of garlic. The beef ribs were seasoned with cumin which I found a bit overwhelming but it was good. The wait was about 30 minutes but the service is quick and food comes out fast. Parking can be a bit difficult so I would recommend trying to find street parking rather than going into the lot.

Parking: Good Alley is located in the old strip mall next to Shinsengumi and 888. Parking is horrible here. It took about 15 minutes of circling the parking lot for me to find parking. People were parking all over the place and putting up their hazard lights in the middle of the lanes. Service: I ordered takeout online and went to pick up the food. The food was ready by the time I arrived. There was an insanely long line waiting for dine-in and I think I heard that the wait time was supposed to be 45+ minutes. Food: I got the Cumin Lamb Chinese Burger. The bun was light and flaky. They cumin lamb was very lightly season so it was not spicy at all. It tasted alright but was pretty small and not very filling. It definitely felt overpriced and I personally do not think it is worth the effort and wait to dine in.

Good Alley was the perfect spot for our annual catch-up, thanks to a friend's recommendation. Although there was a bit of a wait before we were seated, it was absolutely worth it. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The restaurant has a stylish, cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy our time together. Despite the fast-paced turnover of tables, the staff provided warm, attentive service and tried their best not to make us feel rushed. They struck the perfect balance between efficiency and hospitality. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I'll definitely be coming back with hubs next time!

Wow wow wow! Tried this place when the wait for another place down the street was too long - best mishap ever. Vibe was nice, clean, and amazing service. Every dish was amazing! Parking is easy, we didn't wait but I saw they have a well maintained check in process. I'll definitely be back!

After seeing this place get raving reviews on IG, my husband was so excited to try this place. Glad to say it lived up to the hype and we had a great experience. Cucumber with XO sauce: Cucumbers had great texture with a nice crisp. Sauce was flavorful without being overpowering, though I do wish it had more spice to it, haha. Still delicious though! Kurobuta pork soup dumplings: The skin is soft and delicate, and there's a generous amount of flavorful soup in each dumpling. Super yummy Flaky beef wrap: Great texture of the roll, very flaky and crispy. Perfect wrap/filling ratio with a good amount of filling. I thought it was slightly dry, but my husband thought it was perfect Wagyu beef chinese burger: Also super flaky and crispy on the outside. The inside is tender meat and is super saucy/flavorful. Quite messy to eat though since the filling easily falls out and is quite saucy Spicy wontons: The wontons were good, though I wish there was more flavor than just "spice." The spiciness is also a numbing kind of spice, which isn't my favorite. The spice level was perfect though, enough to taste it but not overwhelmingly spicy Even on a weekday afternoon there was a short wait, so I'm assuming the weekends probably get crazy. The parking can be challenging since the lot isn't very spacious. I really liked being able to order the food through a kiosk, which makes it super easy and convenient. Service was also fantastic! Servers were so attentive and polite, and service was much better than we were anticipating to be honest, haha. We would definitely come back!

I've been here several times now and it never disappoints. There tends to be a line but we got there at 5:45 and had no problem being seated. I always love the Xian cold noodles, there's no picture in the menu so look for the name. New things I tried were the cauliflower hotpot and the pumpkin dumplings which came with a cream sauce with a hint of salt.

A Hidden Gem on Valley Blvd That Earns Every Star! Good Alley in Rosemead has quickly become one of my go-to spots in the San Gabriel Valley. Good Alley does the Kaifeng-style guantang bao (soup dumpling) with a thicker wrapper that somehow holds an almost obscene amount of rich, collagen-packed broth inside. One bite and the broth just floods your mouth. Get these first, get them hot, and don't share. The Chinese cumin lamb burger (roujiamo) is another must. The bread is a flaky, thousand-layer pancake -- so much better than the typical baked bun -- and the beef filling is well-seasoned and satisfying. It's the kind of dish that sounds simple until you actually eat it and realize how much craft goes into it. Dry-pot cauliflower, scallion oil dry noodle , and korubuta pork & shrimp wontons are also delicious. The berry sticky mochi drink was so refreshing! Service is friendly, the space is clean and modern, and the iPad ordering system actually works smoothly. Fair warning: expect a wait on weekends -- word is getting out. Come early or be patient, because it's absolutely worth it.

Returned with the family for dinner on a Friday night. The plaza was still pretty busy but parking was okay. We joined the waitlist using the tablet outside. It was about 15min wait time. Inside, they had the AC pretty high so it was kind of cold. You order yourself using their tablet already on the tablet. Servers are quick, providing good service. We ordered several dishes: -wagyu beef burger ($15.98): only 2 halves but very juicy and tender beef (5/5) -beef wrap ($12.98): comes with 4 pieces and filled with lots of beef, not greasy with crispy outside (5/5) -soup dumplings ($15.98-$17.98): price ranges depend on the filling with lots of soup inside (5/5) -XO sauce stir fried green beans ($14.98): decent portion but nothing spectacular (3/5) -steamed vegetable dumplings ($0.99): was part of their Mother's Day special. Decent dumplings with black fungus and glass noodles inside (3/5) -braised beef noodles ($16.98): decent portion with chewy thin noodles and a few pieces of beef (3/5) Overall, this place is still pricey for the portions but pretty yummy for those special occasions.

When I pass by this restaurant, it's always packed and I didn't want to wait. Today I was able to stop by right when they open at 10:30am. We were seated right away for a party of 2. We ordered: Kurobuta pork soup dumplings (8) XO sauce stir-fried green beans Sichuan dan dan noodles We finished almost everything and took the rest to go. Attentive service. Staffs are friendly. I was able to place the order with the tablet and it was easy to use. One thing I noticed was that another party sat behind my booth and every time that customer moves around, I felt the seat moving too. I guess the seats are connected or something. I was just eating and suddenly I'm bouncing a few times. What an interesting experience. Parking at this plaza is hard to find especially if you come during rush hours.

Went here for dinner tonight and it was great! Like many of the restaurants around here, we love that there was a parking lot for easy parking. There was a short 15-minute wait when we arrived, but the waitlist process went smoothly. We just walked around the plazas next door once and then got a text that our table was ready. The servers were attentive, seats were comfy, and the restaurant itself was nice. When you sit down, they give you a tablet to order your food. It took us a minute to find the veggies on the menu, but we eventually found them after a few flips through the entire menu lol. I like that there are pictures on the tablet with what the dishes look like. My husband and I ordered: the braised beef noodle soup, the pork xiao long bao, pea pod stems, cauliflower, and the wagyu burger wrap thing. I also ordered a jasmine ice tea with sea salt, which was also tasty. The meal was tasty! And our dishes came out FAST. Our favorite was the braised beef noodle soup...it was so flavorful, the meat was generous and tender, and the noodles were nicely cooked as well. The xiao long bao met our expectations (we usually go to Din Tai Fung on the westside so we're used to that), and they were really generous with the pea pod stems and cauliflower portions. The wagyu burger was cool, but I think next time we'll do the beef wrap dish instead. Our order was perfect for two hungry people. I did notice that the prices were slightly higher, but we didn't mind, given that the flavors, service, and overall vibe of the restaurant were nice and clean.

Despite its popular Shanghai soup dumplings, the menu is Northern Chinese, not Shanghainese, nor is it a Din Tai Fung clone (that would be "Prince Dumpling" across the street.) Their soup dumpling are deserving 5 stars -- soupy, piping hot, thin wrapper, quality ingredients, and they don't skimp on shredded ginger like DTF. Xi'an Cold Noodle is very light, refreshing and not too spicy. Spareribs are fall-off-bone tender, not too sweet or salty. Beef 'burger' - wrapper too thin and breaks easily, hard to eat when the meat keeps falling out. Go to "Beijing Pie House" in Monterey Park for the best version of this Northern Chinese classic. Tbh I would come back only for their XLB and nothing else.

Ordered the potstickers, the spicy wontons, the beef noodle soup, and then jiajiang noodles. In order of preference, it is the spicy wontons, the jiajiang noodles, the potstickers, and then the beef noodle soup. What they got right with the spicy wontons was the sauce - spiced, kinda spicy, sour, and also sweet. I could use that sauce on everything. The jiajiang noodles was just a good combo of cool from the cucumbers and the noodles and minced meat were good. The beef noodle soup was fine but I think the soup could've packed a bigger punch. It felt almost watered down but I say the piece of beef were great. Overall, the meal came out to around $65 and it is pretty standard now but $13 for 8 wontons or 8 potstickers just feels a bit nuts still. I enjoyed the springy noodles, but there were some portions of the noodles that were clumpy and stuck together. Still, it carried a cheerful bounce, and it had a satisfying texture. Unfortunately, I disliked all other aspects of this meal. The meat did not taste fresh, and the broth tasted like instant powder. It's a cheap meal for the BIG portion of noodles, but it also tastes cheap. On ambiance, Northern Cafe (Monterey Park) is very clean and comfortable. There's plenty of tables, and the location sparkled. The location also felt spacious and well-ventilated. This location id also family friendly since I noticed a stack of high chairs for children. On a Saturday evening, my husband and I decided to grab dinner here. Because we parked in the shared parking lot, we entered the restaurant through the back. We were immediately greeted upon entering. After being seated and looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Fish Tofu Congee, $10.50 prior to tax- This meal truly nourished my soul because I was really sick a few days before and hardly ate anything. The congee was nice and hot and thick, just the way I like it. Portion wise, this is perfect for 2- 3 people to share. But again because I had not eaten much for the last few days, I ended up eating most of it (lol, had not realized how hungry I was until I was eating this). My husband did enjoy this congee too. Beef Stew Noodle Soup, $14.95 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish and thought the soup was flavorful and the noodles had a nice chew. I also liked this dish and thought it was delicious. My husband finished most of this dish. ------------------------------ (Total= $28.10 after tax, prior to tip) Service was friendly. And because the restaurant is on the small side, it was very easy to get a server's attention if you needed something. Although I did speak mostly Cantonese when I was here (I am actually trying to make myself speak Cantonese more), you can order in English. So you shouldn't have any trouble when you dine here. Overall, coming to The Congee was the right choice for dinner and so glad we did. I do see myself coming back here for another meal in the near future. Please note that there is a unisex restaurant towards the back of the restaurant, right next to the back entrance/ exit. The restroom itself had all the basic essentials (running water, toilet paper, paper towels and soap) but wasn't the cleanest. It was decent at best.

The dish featured four generously sized shrimp wontons, all amply filled with shrimp. I did sample the noodles, but unfortunately, I was too satiated to fully appreciate them. I am looking forward to returning for the Shrimp Wonton Noodles in Soup.

There are so many textures and flavors from its tender pork belly cubes, potato cubes, wood ear mushrooms, tofu, and tomato and eggs. The Zhajiangmian is good although you can get better bowls in the SGV. The noodles are thick and tender like their other hand-pulled noodles. The minced pork, cubed potatoes, and julienned cucumbers coat the noodles in a dark savory, and sweet sauce. Dining Area: The dining room is large with over a dozen tables. Parking: The long strip mall has a lot with many spots.

I tend to eat on the slow side but this sizeable bowl was slurped down quickstyles. They are know for their Bún Bò Huế. So had to give them a try. Honestly I haven't had the delicious red soup in a while but its probably the best I ever had. Service is great foods delicious and the ambiance typical mom and pop spot, feels like an asian household which is also warming inside. Clean also I always like to add. Parking on street and the backside. This yummy soup so tasty but overwhelming with salt. has levels of flavor and obviously cooked for hours on end. Alot of meat also. My wife got the pho and also bomb diggity, there was spots of yellow floating on the soup which meant.... flavor. Springrolls also delicious, pretty big 2 for $7.00 wish there was another but killed everything anyways. The Bún Bò Huế is sometimes slept on and this place makes it the best in the area!!
