New Mandarin noodle Deli is located on the corner of Primrose and Las Tunas. There is street parking directly in front of the restaurant. We were seated immediately and the servers were very nice. We ordered Dry Noodle with House Special Sauce (zha jiang mien), Boiled Fish and Leek Dumpling, Stirred Bean Curd Sheet with Cold Sauce, Fish Fillet in Hot and Spicy Sauce, and a bowl of White Rice. The bean curds were the appetizer and came out first. It was very tasty and savory and was a nice start to our meal. There were thin bean curds mixed with carrot strips. The dry noodle came out next. We chose the thin cut noodles but there are a variety of other noodle types that you can choose from. I thought the noodles were a bit Bland but my wife enjoyed the texture and the chewiness of the noodles. The fish fillet in hot and spicy sauce came out next and we also added a bowl of white rice for a $2.50. I thought this dish was the best order that we had for today. Don't be frightened by the amount of chili peppers you see in the menu. The actual dish itself comes out with a lot less Chili Peppers and has more fish than what the picture shows. There also bean sprouts mixed in with the salt as well. The fish, bean sprouts, and sauce went very well over the white rice. You can address the spicy level to mild or regular. We went with the regular and the dish tasted just right. I would definitely order this again! Lastly, the wild fish and the dumplings came out. I think these took a while to come out because they make their dumplings in house and they were made fresh. Nevertheless, they were pretty good and we both enjoyed them. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal here. We would definitely return and maybe try the other items on their large menu.

Our go to place when we're feeling some dumplings, noodles and just overall Taiwanese food. All the noodles are made in house and you definitely won't be disappointed. I don't know why we bother to look at the menu anymore cause we always order the same things. Here's our staple menu: Crushed cucumber appetizer. Just Persian cucumbers lightly smashed and marinated in some vinegar, oil and raw garlic. I will admit, it depends on the day cause some days the marinade sets in better than others but overall the cucumbers are always good and fresh. Simmered noodle soup with handle pulled noodles. My daughter's favorite and if we go with a bigger party that our family of four, we have to order two of these or else she gets sad that there's not enough for seconds (and thirds). The soup is simple and has cabbage, spinach, tomatoes, woodear mushrooms and pork but tastes like it's been simmered a while. It's a solid soup. We like the handle pulled noodles for maximum effect. Scallion pancakes are a traditional and must have Taiwanese dish. If it's done right, they're addicting and you won't be able to stop eating them. They're composed of many layers of dough and scallions so they're crispy and delicious. Think savory flat croissant. Pan fried meat dumplings. There's 8 pieces on a plate but I could order one plate just for myself and that would be enough to make me happy. They're fried just enough and they're still juicy inside so be careful of squirting hot liquid. The sauce that it comes with is delish as well, a perfect mix of soy sauce and vinegar. I always eat this over a bowl so that I can slurp up any soup that spilled out at the end. We've also had the knife cut fried noodles which are good but just not our fav. It's still a solid dish though. Come here and you won't be disappointed. It's a small mom and pop shop with no frills but good food.

Came on a weekday night and there weren't too many people. When we walked in the servers told us to sit anywhere. We got menus and ordered when we were ready. We got the beef rolls and beef noodle soup. Beef rolls were very flavorful and I liked it. The only thing is it's pretty oily. If you don't mind the oil it's yummy. The beef noodle soup was great as well. Very flavorful with a hint of spice.

Tried the beef noodles, and was pretty disappointed. Not much meat and flavor was just okay. Gave the pan fried buns as well, which weren't as flavorful and juicy as I hoped:(

New Mandarin Noodle Deli is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in LA. I think about this place probably more frequently than I should. I always order the combination fried noodles with knife-cut noodles. It's extremely filling, basically two full meals for well under $20. The toppings are loaded on, with everything from shrimp to beef, cabbage, and wood ear mushrooms. Whatever my family orders here is usually really good too, so you can't go wrong. Definitely give this spot a try if you like Chinese food.

Good service but doesn't make up for the lackluster food. Seafood dumplings were a bit soggy with barely any seafood in them. Lamb noodle soup had rations of lamb, very hard to see with the naked eye. Flavor was missing. Knife cut noodles were a good 7.5/10.

Cold chicken dish with pickles. Pretty good.

Been here a few times. Food here is great especially for the price. One of my favorite eateries in the area. Love their dumplings and noodles. I believe it's all hand made. Their beef roll is really good. Service is up and down. There's a small parking lot behind building a larger parking lot across the street behind the Bank of America.

I've been trying to gatekeep this place for so long but alas... I've grown up eating here since 2014. It's my family's go-to spot when we are craving authentic comfort chinese food that tastes homemade. Their taste hasn't changed since we first visited, which I think says a lot. You can tell they put care into their quality. I highly recommend ordering the pork pan fried buns, pork and leek fried pancakes, beef noodle soup, and scallion chili oil dry noodles! The buns are always crispy and juicy and the braised beef tender. I've learned that they hand-make all their noodles and buns to order! Pro tip eat the buns and pancakes with vinegar and their chili oil, which is made in-house. This place is always reliable and a crowd pleaser. Writing this is making me crave it again lol. Definitely worth checking out :)

Consistent quality, flavor, and service. Service is fast and food tastes wonderful. Price is very reasonable. My local go to spot. I usually get the mouth watering chicken, the meat pie and and beef noodle soup. Not the cream of the crop but top 5 for sure, more importantly without long wait and blow a hole in my wallet. Mostly locals only for this spot, but try it out. I'm sure you will like it.

Small mom and pop type standalone restaurant on a small corner in SGV. I came here a few times when I was working in the area specially to try their noodles and their pork pan buns. I would say the service is solid. I think there's just a little bit of timidness due to cultural or language barriers, but I thought the service was fine. I wasn't able to order the pork buns the first night (they need a certain amount of time and I arrived too late before closing time) so I came back a second night right after and they actually recognized me and laughed. On one visit I ordered the Shanxi house special noodle soup - w/ knife cut noodles. On another visit, I made sure to come in a little bit earlier to order their leek with pork pan cake (buns). They need a little more time to prepare those buns so I couldn't order them within the last half hour of closing on my previous visit. I think both dishes was a very good representation of what they are. Super delicious and I crave them from time to time even now. Delicious comfort food at its best. I also had their pork fried noodles (with mushrooms and bamboo shoots). Also very delicious and well prepared. This place came on my radar because I saw it on a post from an IG food account. I'm so glad I checked it out! I came in the middle of the week and the parking around the area was really easy to find on the street

The BF wanted to try this place tonight. We went with the House Pan Fried Dumpling, Beef roll, Pan Fried Buns with pork and leeks, and sauté green beans. Our favorites were definitely the house pan, fried dumplings, and the beef rolls. The House Pan fried dumpling had really thin skin and the pork was juicy and had great flavor. The beef rolls had a really nice crispy scallion pancake wrapped around lots of beef slices. It was definitely one of the best ones around the San Gabriel Valley. The pan fried bun had nice flavor, but the skin was way too thick. My least favorite was the green beans, they looked really sad and the flavor was just OK. Some pieces were salty, and others were bland. We will definitely be back to try more of their dishes, especially their pan fried dumplings. I can see why there were a lot of people inside the restaurant when we picked up our food.

The food here is pretty good. The portions are great for the price and you definitely leave feeling full and getting your money's worth. The soups do tend to be a bit salty so just be mindful. The service is quick and prompt- exactly of what I'd expect of this place too. I've come here multiple times previously and have never left feeling disappointed nor sad so overall that's pretty good for me. One thing that was disappointing though was how there were pests that kept bugging me- like flies and whatnot. Other than that the place was pretty kept up with and clean and satisfactory.

This is one of our favorite spots for soup noodles around the area. This is a northern style cooking family restaurant specialized in making all kinds of noodles, dumplings, and buns. The noodles are handmade in-house. The restaurant is cozy and clean with ample seating. Service was friendly and efficient. We enjoy getting the seafood noodle soup with hand pulled noodles. Their pan fried buns are very savory and delicious. Prices are reasonable and portions are very generous. Food is pretty authentic too.

I'm sure they also know English and Mandarin as well. We came for their dinner special on a weekday. Their special menu had two different tiers of food prices - $10.99 and $12.99. The specials usually come with a soup and a rice as well, but the soup was sold out by dinner time. We ordered Chicken and Corn over Rice, Stir-Fried Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce, Beef Chow Fun with Soy Sauce, Grilled Lemon Grass Pork Chop. Whenever I come to these type of restaurants, I usually order the same type of items. The chicken and corn over rice at this restaurant was just OK. It was typical and nothing special, but I still enjoyed it. The Stir-Fried Fish Filet was good and went well with the white rice. The beef Chow Fun is standard and the same as everywhere else. Can't go wrong with this staple. The one you dish that we did try was the grilled lemongrass pork chop. We don't usually order this but decided to give it a try this time. It was decent but more on the savory side. Overall, we were glad to find a restaurant with dinner specials. Given the price point and the standard types of Hong Kong styled food that were offered, I think we would return to try their other items on the special menu.

The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was eating my food in this establishment several months ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they were offering some at the moment. They currently do have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the restaurant at a local medical building parking lot. It's $1 each 9 minutes with a max of $13. Or you can try to find street parking and walk on over. Food: I ordered a Lychee Martini, Saigon Summer, Mamasan's Shrimp Cake Skewers, Truffle Wok Seared Noodles with Scallop, Slow-Drip Vietnamese Coffee Flan, and Banyan Tree Ice Cream. Before I started ordering, I was immediately given some house made complimentary shrimp chips. I loved how light and airy it was. It also had an amazing crunch. It tasted just like shrimps hahaha. My lychee martini was a crisp, refreshing cocktail that perfectly balances floral sweetness with tart acidity. Order this! The Saigon summer is a spicy, tropical blend of tequila, lime leaf liqueur, agave, butterfly pea infused triplum, and a Thai chili infusion. Not really up my alley, but I'm glad I was able to try it out. I think I dislike anything spicy and super bitter in my drinks. It just tasted odd. Mamasan's shrimp cake skewers features crispy, deep-fried shrimp cakes flavored with kaffir lime and lemongrass. It is served with skewers, charred pineapple, and a sweet garlic chili dip. Definitely get this. It was so crunchy, massive, and mouthwatering. The charred pineapple provided a sour yet sweet taste that helped off set the savory seafood / fishy taste in your mouth. The truffle wok seared noodles with scallop is a dish that combines savory, smoky flavor with luxurious truffle and tender scallops, which bridges the gap between classic Asian stir-fry and Italian comfort food. As a massive sucker for Italian food and all things truffle, this dish was my favorite. The al dente handmade egg noodles were wok-tossed in a rich black truffle sauce with delicious mushrooms, fresh Brussels sprout leaves, and perfectly seared scallops. I loved that I could taste the black truffles. The truffles added a nice rich, earthy, and highly savory flavor with prominent notes roasted nuts. GET THIS DISH!!!!! The slow-drip Vietnamese coffee flan is a silky, rich egg custard infused with bold phin-drip coffee and sweetened condensed milk. It offers a perfect balance of bitter roasted coffee and sweet creamy custard. This dish was super smooth, creamy, and delicious. I loved that Star Leaf added their own twist to this dish by putting a caramel golden cage on top of this already phenomenal tasting dessert. The caramel golden cage gave this flan a nice crunch. This dish wasn't too sweet for me. As a hater of super sweet things, this flan was just right. The banyan tree ice cream was a great way to end the meal. Super refreshing! I got two scoops of Thai tea ice cream and one scoop of the coconut ice cream. Both flavors were fantastic and tasted very creamy. Not too sweet, which is how I like it. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, welcoming, and polite. Elysha waited on me when I went. She was very attentive, informative, and personable. It reminded me a lot of Vietnamese curry that my family makes because it's yellow, made with potatoes and served with baguette. I also had a pink pandan lemonade, fried sea bass and salad appetizer (recommended by our waiter), and the truffle noodle dish. I liked the heat in the appetizer and the crunch on the sea bass. The interior is beautiful and spacious. It's great for special events or fancier occasions. They have a private parking lot on the side that validates but I also found metered street parking right out front. They took online reservations. We were able to sit and chat there for a long time without being pressured to leave or without feeling rushed. The bad: The pink lemonade tasted like concentrate or syrup and had no pandan flavor. For $12, it was too sweet and too artificial tasting. The curry lacked heat and punch. It was like a blander more mild version of Vietnamese curry. It was a bit on the dry side. The fried batter on sea bass hid the yummy sea bass flavor and the side salad was on the salty side. The interesting: They have multiple locations.

No apologies or explanation of the situation, just, "you ordered two mazemen?", then she went back to her station. Confused, we called her back asking what happened. She said she didn't know what happened either, the ticket didn't come out, then walked away. The cook then apologized and upgraded my bowl to deluxe, which was nice. Eventually they ended up giving us a discount, but not once did the younger, female waitress apologize or explain. She also did not check up on our table, which the old waitresses usually do (which is customary for a sit down restaurant). Unprofessional and her attitude was very rude. This is unfortunate because my dad and I really like the food here, but I don't think I'll enjoy my time here anymore. Salt and pepper calamari: great crunch, wish it had a little more salt & pepper & garlic seasoning most pieces weren't coated, but the calamari texture had the perfect chew. Crispy vermicelli with beef: loved the crispy noodles and soft beef stir fry textures together, definitely ask for chili oil with this dish, it needs that extra umph of flavor for the noodles. Salted egg yolk pumpkin: I normally love this dish, only wished the outside was crispier, got soggy fast and with how thick these are cut you want the crispy exterior, but flavor was good. Only thing that made me feel a bit "eh" was the chipped plateware they have and continue to use. Service - wonderful! Everyone was so friendly and had nice customer service. They even helped recommend dishes and also share opinions on what we shouldn't order which I loved. Parking - free parking lot! There are a few spaces right in front of the restaurant. But around the side there's more parking as well.

The popcorn chicken is a must - the portion was huge and the mild flavor was top notch. The beef noodle soup was also solid. It came with a generous amount of noodles and big chunks of flavorful beef. Lastly, the regular soup dumplings pass exceptionally well with the ginger, vinegar, soy sauce condiment. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. Atmosphere inside was hip and vibey. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I'd highly recommend others to try their dishes.

The food arrived one dish at a time, but fairly fast. Service throughout the meal was minimal, bit it did not take away from our dining experience. Every dish we ordered, in exception of the Hot Oil Pork with Vegetable Wonton, was plentiful and delicious. We tried the following dishes: -Popcorn Chicken 5/5, large portion and perfectly fried. -Crab with Pork Xiao Long Bao 5/5 -Beef Roll 4/5 -Pan Fried Shrimp Pork w/Vegetable Wonton 5/5 -Hot Oil Pork with Vegetable Wonton 2/5, Way too spicy. -Shrimp Fried Rice 5/5, shrimp was perfectly cooked. -Braised Beef Noodle 5/5, amazingly good! Overall, we'll be back! It is a small spot, that's busy and tight on space, but so worth a visit.
