Craving Chili's. pretty happy overall. Tried their Presidente Margarita, super refreshing. really liked the 3 for Me deal: a starter, entrée, and drink for under $15,. Super affordable. The staff was friendly and didn't rush us, The vibe in the restaurant was lively but still relaxed, so it's a good spot to hang out with friends or just grab a quick meal. Portions were decent. The menu has a good mix of classic Tex-Mex and American comfort food, so there's something for everyone. I'll probably swing by again. read more

We walked inside to find no one at the front to help and a LINE of increasingly disgruntled people waiting. We left. Not worth the hassle. Didn't even see a bartender in the bar to ask. This location irself is good. My gripe is about Chili's payment system's tip calculation and especially something for people to watch out for. Here's what happened. We had a problem with our order ...we didn't get all of it. The location manager made good by substituting a dessert to adjust for the side dishes we never got. The dessert showed up on the sales ticket along with an offsetting credit. Without checking the math I punched in a generous percentage gratuity because they recognized and corrected for their mistake. Looking at my receipt later I got to thinking it seemed too high so I ran the numbers. I should have run them up front. Guess what. The POS included the full amount of the desert in the tip calculation even though that dessert was a no charge replacement for sides we never received. So my words of wisdom are to not trust Chili's percentage tip calculations. Run the numbers yourself and punch in an absolute amount rather than a percentage. read more

My boyfriend and I love Chili's and order takeout from this location often. Food is consistently great. We don't usually dine in but we did tonight and what I learned is that management is doing a great job here and Che't is an important asset to the team. At the beginning we had some issues with our server - app came out with food, food was cold, he blamed it on the "kitchen being backed up." There are more things here and there, I won't get into the details, but I wasn't happy. Luckily, Che't stopped by the table while we were eating and asked how we were. I politely explained to her the situation, and she told me he was new, and the kitchen was in fact not backed up (which I definitely had a hunch about both!) She asked if there was anything she could do. I didn't ask for anything, but I did tell her that I love Chili's (which is true). She thanked me for the feedback, and came back to reward me with a gift card and the most amazing molten lava cake I've ever had at Chili's since I was 12 years old. Pics included to see the masterpiece that was. It was a long day for me, this could have been a trip that totally ruined Chili's for me but Che't saved it! Had to follow up because we've found our new favourite bartender. Lacie is awesome! Even though she was working the floor and was so busy, she still found time to talk to us and be a super sweet person. And she also pours a helluva Modelo draft, so she's got that going for her (... which is nice....). The chefs were (and continue to be) on point as the food is great (cilantro pesto? Hello!). We'll definitely be back. Oh, and I also have to call out manager Jonathan for begging me to mention him in this review. So there you go LOL! read more

Mediocre at best - food was cold and service really poor. There were few customers at 2 pm so it was not rushed.

Super friendly staff. Wow! Food nice and fresh. Location in traffic is hard to get in and out of. Will be back!

Stood there for 5 minutes to witness & empty hostess stand. 3 waiters walked by & saw us & never acknowledged that we were there & when one did approach us, I told her a table for 2 & she told me she wasn't the hostess & walked away. I find it weird I haven't reviewed this place, simply because I used to go here all the time. Since then, I've expanded my palate, but a decade ago, this was my JAM. Turkey sandwich combo with broccoli cheese soup. Heck yeah. Well, they don't have broccoli cheese soup anymore so I can't tell if that was how I remembered it, but one thing I did order when I could pry myself away from that sandwich was Monterrey chicken, which I actually remake at home occasion. I was super hungry, so I ordered a feast - fried pickles for the appetizer (since they are touting them as homemade and I am a sucker for pickles), a side salad, and the aforementioned chicken. The pickles were ok. Half the basket were crumbs of batter, but what was actually pickle was decent. So far, so good. The salad was actually better than I remember. They have bottomless salad and soup, I'd consider getting that next time. Then, the chicken came. The mashed potatoes and broccoli were decent, but this poor piece of chicken had the texture and color of meat from a can. The cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and bbq sauce couldn't hide it. I had ordered too much food anyway, so I boxed it up and ate it later after cooking it in a pan, and the made the texture a *little* better, but it was still pretty nasty, and definitely low quality meat. I mean, it's chilis. You're there for some reason, maybe to meet a friend who has mediocre food tastes, maybe you just want to check out an old haunt because you were that friend, but not the best food you've ever had in your life. Let's be honest. The one thing I will say is their menu got HUGE. So, maybe there are some gems in there. I just don't know if I'm going to be frequenting this place to figure that out with so many other options. read more

I mean, it's a Chili's what is there to read? So as for this location? We'll it's totally fine, there is enough parking, the service has always been good, I've never had to wait. Expect a crying baby somewhere and or squirmy kid banging on something, it's a I don't want to cook so let's go somewhere night, not date night kind of place. If you haven't been recently they did mix up the menu with these new fancy pants burgers. Don't bother, they are slightly smaller, put something shiny on the bread to make it more bistroy and put fries in a little cup so you get less of them, it's probably more expensive, but I don't recall, it certainly doesn't taste better, worse actually. read more

As I'm writing this review I'm sitting at the bar...Came here for happy hour and ordered the Presidente. The first one was ok but I asked for a second one and the lady takes the same shaker the first one came in( that's what made me watch her every move), used a cup to put a little more of the drink in, pour it in the already used shaker then fills it up with more ice...wth?? I do HH hour at Chili's quite often but not at this location and I'm so glad I saw this now I know I will never return. Something told me to go to Trudys. Her tip will be 0 which will make up for the shady drink I was just served. Oh and don't even get me started on the southwestern eggrolls I ordered, they were pathetic...smh read more

I usually visit the Chilis on Lamar and 45th but this one is so much closer to me so I thought I would give it a whirl. I arrived after the lunch rush and would recommend this time (if possible) because the bar area is almost empty. This was an amazing advantage for me because I had the waitresses undivided attention. She was very friendly and took my drink order lickety split but took a little longer than "normal" to return with said drinks and take my food order. I wasn't in a rush so it was not an issue for me that day. The margarita (yes all ya'll...I love margarita's) was incredible. I always order the SW Eggrolls on the sampler platter and they are always tasty and just the way I like them. The atmosphere is that of a bar that serves food. I had five or six televisions with everything from basketball to politics, so I ordered another margarita to absorb the cacophony that surrounded me. Moving forward I wouldn't sit in the bar for a relaxing mid day lunch. I still like the Chilis on 45th and Lamar but this is going to be my next best. Have not been to a chili's in a long time but some friends had a gift card and invited my daughter and I. We had an amazing time. It was the end of happy hour and the specials were great. Beer was as cold as it could possibly be without freezing. That's a good thing. Bartender was attentive and super nice. It's crazy but all the food we ordered was delicious. Queso, Cajun pasta with chicken, fajitas, baby back ribs , street corn and the dessert. Ok so we went out to eat tonight with my son. We ordered the sizzling fajitas combo with grilled chicken rice grilled onions & black beans. We also ordered a half order of chili cheese fries & chicken quesadillas. The food came out before the appetizer (chili cheese fries) and our server did not bring the black beans. We asked about it and he said they were out of beans and we looked at him in confusion he then told us "hey I'm just here for the ride" instead of apologizing & offering something else in place of it. I was shocked with the crappy attitude that I asked him to call the manager so I can speak to her. Before she came to our table 5 mins later our server comes with a bowl of black beans and by that time we had already finished pretty much all our meal. So why did he even bother ? The manager comes to our table, Kayla, & we complained about the appetizer coming late, which it did because she showed up with it and we told her we didn't appreciate the attitude our server had. Now we understand that things happen in the kitchen & things get backed up. But there was no excuse for the attitude. Kayla apologized & comped our meal. We go there at least once a month & had she not made it right we would have never considered going back. She said she was going to take care of the problem. I hope she does. Sat at the bar tables for a quick lunch with co-workers. Ordered simple soup and salad. Water glass arrives tasting like salt and has a gritty feel to the rim. Soup arrives... no spoon. Takes 10 minutes to get one. Salad arrives, is not the Caesar that I ordered but a garden salad with a side of Caesar dressing. because nothing goes better with cheddar, carrots, and tomatoes than a parmesan anchovy based dressing... Went ahead and switched to vinaigrette to save time and got this strange, gross, lime mixture dressing. Waited for the waitress to come back but she never did so, ended up not eating the now covered in lime sludge salad and finishing the underwhelmingly depressing excuse for loaded baked potato soup. Bleh food. Bleh service. I'm going to stick to the chili's on I-35 from now on. read more

Before sharing my review I need to provide you with the disclaimer - We are on a quest for the best of the best Fajitas. Chili's proclamation on the menu is "We practically invented Fajitas - And now we're making them even better." That maybe so up North past the Mason- Dixon line - not really so in Texas. Definition of pico here is actually chopped tomato. I actually would have rated it as a maybe "2" however the staff is great. So I would say give this establishment a chance due to their staff. But stay away from the fajitas, they are dry, overcooked and truly a disappointment . And I would say that if I didn't know what a fajita was. BTW we did share our view with Chili's and we were offered a replacement which we turned down. So enjoy this restaurant for their chili. PSS. We pointed out that we had an overcharge and was told they would correct. Bill came back with staff indicating they remove the charge. And they did. Thanks Chilis read more

Terrible experience. So my pregnant girl and I get seated pretty quickly and get sat right in the middle of the loudest part of the restaurant when the other half is almost empty. So there might be staff shortage so it's nbd. Then we meet our waitress, Melissa, she gets our drinks and comes right back with them. Cool no problem yet, until she starts coming by the table about every 2-4 minutes asking if we were ready to order. As the 3 or 4th time came around it was getting very annoying because Melissa kept sighing and vaguely rolling her eyes. So we order our food, my girl gets a bacon burger with fries and I got the Cajan pasta. My food was great maybe a little too thick but still good. Now my girls on the other hand had like halfway cucumbers/pickles (pretty funky smelling) and stale fries. So I set the fries to the edge of the table so she could see and Melissa just looks at it and walks by. Pretty lazy not to ask why are the fries not being eaten or if something is wrong with them. So I flag her down and say can I get some fresh fries please? She apologizes and goes to the kitchen, while still in ear shot she sarcastically yells to the kitchen "wow the are soo cold". And so after we ask for to-go boxes and a cup which we never got were basically getting rushed out of our seats. She's sweeping around us and kind of staring at us. The only reason why she got a tip is because we had a gift card and wanted to use the rest so we won't have to go back there. Nonetheless our service sucked, food was stale/smelled bad and being someone who works in food myself I'd be ashamed for acting that way,especially since we got there at 10 and the place closes at midnight. read more

When you go to chilis you pretty much are expecting a mediocre meal, I mean they have a little of everything and don't really have a specialty. However the meal I just attempted to have there was inedible. I order chicken and steak fajitas. The chicken looked and tasted like rubber. It had no grill marks or meat grain. My sister took one bite and said she wouldn't even give it to a dog. There is no way that meat was actually cooked there. Seemed like precooked frozen meat that they ran under the water and then microwaved really quick.The beef tasted like it had been marinated in kitchen cleaners, like Lysol or something. They use to have pretty good fajitas but clearly their standards have changed. Tried their new spinach queso as well. You shouldn't call it "spinach" queso if there's one piece of spinach in it, and the cheese they use tastes like dirty feet have been soaking in it. Also, the air conditioning was out. It's 100 outside. They didn't even have a sign up informing of that or inform you as you enter. Thought it felt pretty good at first, but as I sat at the table I kept getting hotter and began sweating. That's not acceptable conditions. Honestly I would choose not eating before eating at chilis every again. --- giving it one star because it won't let me post it without it. read more

Its chili's great place for kids and family and to just hang out. We always have great service and this time we avoided a melt down because the waiter was able to find a red crayon. I like the honey chipotle chicken strips. They offer a tablet with games (you have to pay) and you can re-order drinks from the bar. you are able to also pay using this, so now if you are in a rush you can pay without having to flag somebody down for the check. good to see they are embracing technology. read more

Overall awful experience. Our waitress only brought us one refill and we were there for well over an hour. Spent 3/4 of meal without a drink and she was nowhere to be seen. I know chili's salsa is usually a little more on the thin side but yesterday it was literally liquid. We asked for a new cup and received one of the same quality. My meal was horrible. I've ordered the bacon ranch chicken quesadillas before from other locations and loved it. Here? Horrible. The chicken quality was worse than a McDonald's. It was very obviously pre packaged frozen chicken breast strips. They were rubbery, had zero flavor and were not even slightly seasoned. I tried to pick it out to eat the remaining quesadilla but was unable to eat them because they were soggy in grease. To add insult to injury, this waste of a meal woke me up at 2:30 am last night with the worst heartburn and stomachache I've ever had. Will literally never go back to this chili's. They had changed the menu, everything was "zesty" which I don't do and I quit going. Today, we were going to Trudy's for lunch, then found out they don't serve until 2 so we wandered in to Chili's as a last resort. Got served quickly, and usual, almost-McDonalds atmosphere, with ten thousands kiddies in the place. Waiter was knowledgeable, helpful, and prompt. I very doubtfully ordered the $8 chicken fajitas w/out much expectation. And was very! pleasantly surprised. The chicken meat was fork tender with a good flavor, the salad dressing on their otherwise plain greens salad was very tasty. The fajita fillings were perfectly grilled. The only failure was a dab of cheese and a double dab of sour cream--not near enough to fill out the taco, but I asked for more sour cream for the last of my 3 tacos I managed to stretch the filling into. (Could have been just 2 if you like the fight to get it in your mouth size. ) I thought everything was yummy and will definitely go back soo. Though I could do w/out those mini computers on the table. Very fast food gimmicky. And the waiter said they are the coming thing, but I do hope they keep right on going. read more
