Typical Chilis fare but lots of issues with the service. Busy for a Saturday night but took us about 10 minutes to get anyone to even come to our table after being seated. Once ordered they brought us multiple wrong items or incorrectly prepared items. Asked for no sour cream with one item and was actually given and charged for extra sour cream. Had duplicate charges with our final bill and had to wait for a manager to fix it so definitely defeated the benefit of the kiosk to pay when you are ready. The food overall was solid as it usually is but amazingly they had no tortilla chips by 8 on a Saturday so unable to get the bottomless chips we love. Mistakes were all ultimately corrected but it made for a very long dinner. read more

The wait was terrible, I'm sorry. The host told us to wait outside due to COVID, understandable. After that, a group of people came in and sat down in the little waiting area, where there were signs saying not to sit. We walked inside and there wasn't a hostess. We waited for awhile and decided to just sit in the bar area. There was a bartender, girl with Bluish hair, that didn't greet use even after eye contact. She left the bar area to talk to another employee. I thought she was going to get our waitress but she just wanted to chat. At some point they looked over at us and made eye contact again. Nothing was bad, but nothing was special. It seemed confused on its identity, torn between a tex mex, bbq and burger joint. It didnt have a focus, and therefore didnt have anything special about it. Its just ok food in a mediocre setting. The bathrooms arent the filthiest, but they arent the cleanest either. The floor of the restaurant looks tired and in need of sweeing. Usually our place to go to when we don't know where to go. Their menu has a variety of options and for the most part it's usually good food. Lately though I feel like the Quality has been very poorly. I went a Sunday around noon and they messed up my order we went the following Sunday and they gave me raw food. This is starting to be a regular routine for my orders. This just happened recently but it made me think back and pretty much it happens every time I go. They always mess up either is raw or it has a Hair intertwined in the food, and well I try to be understanding cause you know things happen, but I think I'm pretty much done with this place. I really did gave it a lot of tries but I'm done. Hope they do something about quality control and the quality of their food. read more

Why so many poor reviews is beyond me. Took the wife out for a late dinner and we decided on Chilis. What a great experience it was. The place was packed at 9pm We had a 5 min wait. We had a great waiter never an empty glass I ordered the ribeye and wife ordered chicken crispers and chip and salsa. Chips came right out hot and fresh. We had just about finished the chips and out came the food. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and just melted in my mouth. I can still taste it in my mind it was that good. We now eat her during lunch time about every other week, and service is great. The skillet queso has been perfect. And we can usually eat fast enough to get back to work. Our To Go orders are almost never right--to a MADdening degree--but when we eat here, I'm almost always blown away impressed by the servers. We've had a couple of guys wait on us in the bar area that have been just amazing, so friendly and attentive and on top of things. I wish I could remember names right now because they deserve to be recognized. I'll update my review next time we dine in. Really, Chili's? Chili's is a staple of America restaurants, yes? Dependable, clean, good food, reliable. Well - corporate Chili's needs to get a-hold of their Boerne store - and its manager - and have a come to the Lord talk. Nasty. The restaurant smelled like a grease trap from the moment you walk in. "That's ok," I thought. "I want those baby back baby back baby back ribs I know and love!" I declined being seated in the bar area (where the smell it turns out was gagging-level worse) in the dining area. I went to wash my hands and my feet were sticking to the floor - like a movie theater. I looked down - and there were bits of food everywhere. Not appetizing. I know - it's a restaurant, food falls - but food also gets picked up. My waitress was a sweet girl. She did well with my order, only messed up the vegetable, replaced it immediately. She gets a thumbs-up. But the food... To be honest, this was a treat for me. I was looking forward to this - saved up, a celebration of my first paycheck at a new job. This was special. But the food was not. The awesome blossom onion petals were good. Well-presented, yummy, etc. Check. The ribs... were bad. They were very very tough, very dry, absolutely no flavor. This is unheard of at Chili's who are known for their fall-apart flavorful tender melt-in-your-mouth ribs. They were so awful that their only flavor was the 1/8" of barbecue sauce on top. I thought about asking for another bowl. I prayed there would at least be some fat in them. They were meaty, and I ate them - because they were expensive and I'm not made of money. But afterwards I felt supremely disappointed. I make better at home in a crockpot for way less and I've never felt that about Chili's ribs. I left a review at their table review, and walking out I felt my feet sticking again - I looked down thinking I was imagining it, and sure enough - there were 1/2" pieces of this and that regularly all over the floor. The previous reviewer is not joking - this place is NASTY. I'm not the type to whine for a refund. But when I left I felt horrible. $22 for something that was less enjoyable than McDonalds. I decided to call the manager from my car. If it were my business, you bet I'd want to know when I just turned off a customer for good. When I called, I explained about the floor. The manager explained that "I know right? We've been trying to talk to corporate about the floor (surfacing)" and explained how it was the sealant. Only it wasn't. Yes - there were some sealant issues. I could see that - it had been covered, recovered, and wearing through. But I explained - the problem was the FOOD all over the floors. It just isn't being cleaned... And then - he laughed at me. "Yes thank you for letting us know" - laughing. I wish now I had taken pictures and maybe put them on my Facebook warning people. DO NOT VISIT THIS RESTAURANT. The manager is not accountable, and he thinks their lack of hygiene is ... funny. It's not. I won't be going back for another year or two. Maybe he'll be replaced by then and someone will clean the place I never asked for a refund. I just want to be able to go to a clean Chili's and get some ribs. read more

Nothing to specifically complain about here, when you go to Chilis you expect, well, Chili's. The food was fine, the environment was fine, inattentive waitress every time I have gone to this location even when they don't have many guests, but you get what you pay for and it's better then sitting down at a fast food place puke Wendy's or McDonalds, but some how lower quality customer service then Chiq Filet. read more

Went to order lunch to-go. Stopped in at the bar because no one was at the to-go counter. It was not busy. Waited for a few minutes until the bartender came to talk with me. I informed her that I would be ordering to-go. She promptly told me that the to-go counter would take care of me. I moved back to the to-go counter and waited a sec for the employee to come help me. She told me that her computer was down and said that I need to go to the bar, to place my order. I informed her that I was instructed to come here to place my order. I then witnessed a quick altercation where they were both arguing as to who the unlucky person would be, that would have to take my order. The to-go counter lost that battle, as the bartender who had 4 people sitting at her bar, said she was too busy. The defeated to-go counter girl came back and dismally took my order. Typically, I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, but this Chili's prepares some really good food. The burger and grilled chicken were both well prepared. Their french fries are habit forming. This particular location is very popular and it was packed for lunch. Get there early for quick seating. The pay at your table machines are very convenient.....no waiting for your server to bring your check. We'll be back......and often! read more

We have come to this location numerous times; for being a tourist town, Boerne is woefully equipped with reasonably-price restaurants that actually have good food. This Chili's has been slipping for quite a while. Very hit or miss, so when we stopp ed Wed. 6/3, we ordered some drinks & chips/salsa. Salsa runnier than ever, no chunkiness at all. And the chips! A layer of tortilla crumbles that looked more like breakfast cereal, a thin layer of translucently oily whole chips on top. I picked through these to find a few good ones, drank my tea (which was never refilled, or refill offered) and we decided not to eat here. Or go back again. This is a cumulative score over a half dozen visits, not just about this instance. read more

Maybe one star is one too many! We arrived around 8pm, the place was not crowded however people were waiting to be seated so we sat in the bar. We ordered drinks and waited and waited and waited until we finally got our drinks. We ordered "jumbo"pretzel sticks and an order of nachos. Our food took forever to arrive and the best thing I can say is the nachos were still warm, in fact the 7 nachos were burned and the meat tasted funny. The pretzels were not what I would call jumbo and the cheese sauce was probably not real cheese. Service was too slow and chilies should be embarassed to serve food like that. I always like Chili's no matter what city I am in. We were going home from Garner Sate Park to San Antonio and stop Chili in Borne to have dinner. We were greeting and seating after a short wait. Our waitress Katroma is very friendly and attentively but not very imposing. I had their Quesadilla Explosion Salad and husband had the burger plus crispy onion string and jalapeno stack appetizer. We don't care for the crispy onion string. They are way too thin and greasy and salty for me. We enjoy the dinning experience and the value are great. Thumbs up for Chili's again. read more

I took a large group of 12 8th graders and they set us up quickly. The servers were great and responsive. We all ordered a variety of food and everything was delivered correctly. Chips and salsa were good though I prefer more hotness in the salsa. This group cleaned their plates which is always a good sign. read more
