This location has been revamped and more modernized which draws you in and very large from the inside including a big and large bar top. I came in here on a Thursday after work after 5pm. I ordered the classic margarita and happy hour boneless wings the service was slow beyond belief for it being at most half full. The gentlemen we had was very nice but the service felt slow for what we ordered. We got checked up on every 20 mins if that. The saving grace was that the food was okay but the service left alot to be desired. If I come back next time I'll be more assertive to my service needs the food is great for the price read more

Good ol Chili's. Called in to see if their dine in was open and yes they are! Weekdays dine in is available and weekends is both dine in and the patio is available (tents with tables/chairs). Temperatures are not checked here incase you're wondering, but masks are mandatory as they should be when not eating. After being seated we waited about 10mins til our server came and when asked when happy hour was she gave us the wrong time. Seemed like she was new, but hey thats fine. A few back and forth questions where she had to double check on things, but alright anyway.. on to the food. Cajun Chicken Pasta $12.99 Solid portion, chicken was cooked nicely. Flavor was okay, tasted a bit bland. Classic Ribeye$19.39 Ordered this medium rare with a side of mashed potatoes and broccoli. After cutting into the steak this was still raw, the meat was not rare, it was purple. We cut into different sections to see if other portions were cooked, but that was a no. Told our server about it and I was expecting a brand new steak cooked medium rare, but it was the same steak we cut into.. im just thinking did they just throw back the steak we touched along w the other things they cook for everyone else? It came out medium this time and not medium rare, but we didn't want to make it a hassle and ate it how it was. It was ok.. Mashed and Potatoes were good. Also our beers came the same time as our entrees, so if you want your drinks while you wait for food id suggest telling your server. Overall experience could have been better. We love coming to chilis so when a group of us decided to come here for a few drinks and food before knotts scary farm, we expected to have our usual great time ! Unfortunately the bartender (female who worked on October 11th at 6 pm) was so incredibly rude multiple times that we couldn't wait to leave. Her behavior doesn't belong behind a bar or anywhere near the food service industry. She was rude so many times that I don't want to type out all of the examples but we were shocked with how openly rude she was. When she would walk away, the other patrons at the bar were expressing the same concern and none of us wanted to ask for basic things or inquire about our drinks that took 20 minutes because she would openly snap at people who did. I found an old Chilis gift card from like 7 years ago so we had to go to Chili's. I chose this Chili's because it had three stars, and all the other locations had less than three stars in the area. I am giving this spot five stars because for a Chili's this was much better than the ones I've been to in the past. This location was cleaner, the service was quick and friendly, food was hot and fast, and we were checked on for refills. They did a good job for a chain restaurant in a busy tourist area. There was also a large party having their Christmas lunch and our waitress still did a good job. I came here around 2 PM on a Friday and it was pretty busy. The host was also the bus boy and he was hustling around and got us a table. Really communicated he was going to help us and running around to clean. I appreciate that he was such a hard worker for sure. I had done some research and found that people online really liked the chicken crispers the pick 3 lunch and the trio appetizer. We ended up ordering each the pick three which includes a drink, appetizer and entrée. I had an Arnold Palmer, and he had a strawberry lemonade. I also got a refill of the mango tea with lemonade, and it was amazing. For the appetizer I had had the baked potato soup and he had the chili. The baked potato soup was good but a little bit watery. The chili was very thick and salty. I prefer the soup over the chili. Entrées I got three crisper chickens with the sauce on the side, which was a chipotle honey that I really did not like, but I did use the ranch and ketchup and barbecue sauce. The tenders came out super duper hot. My fries were not very crispy, but hot and there weren't very many of them, but it was enough for me. My two drinks may have been simple... but to hit it on the head both times for me (he made me two dif ones) mmmm Customer service, effort, not being scared to try is always a plus for me. He made me feel comfortable enough to tell him if I liked or didn't like it. So made me more willing to let him get creative. We got like 4 drinks, and three of those plates. Came out under 85. I am not one to ever leave reviews when it comes to bad service but being belittled in front of a very busy restaurant BY THE MANAGER was not something I was going to stay quiet about. This chilis had THE WORST costumer service when it came to speaking to the manger Tony(I). Something that could have been resolved with a simple response was turned into such a huge deal making me very upset. We initially had a coupon for FREE chips & salsa, long story we get charged for what we thought was going to be FREE. Being completely honest paying the $8 was not my problem. If it was I would have never gone to eat out. The problem here was that TONY(I) was literally not able to do a single thing to compensate for the inconvenience. Her hands were tied. As a manger there was absolutely NO possible thing for her to do in the moment. In what world is that even possible. Chilis is always a great choice. I hadn't been to this location in years. My husband and I arrived around 5pm on Saturday and got two seats at the bar. All the staff was really friendly. Decided to give them another try today hoping they had taken care of the issues they obviously had going on last week and instead took them down to 1 star and I'd give them none if I could!! We arrived at 4:15 on a Thursday night AGAIN and not only had they not taken care of their employee issues, they had gotten worse!! We were told again only one server and one cook and wait would be 25-30 mins !! This is not a Friday or Saturday and it's early. Whomever does their scheduling needs to be fired!! We walked out as did 3 other parties in front of us !! Don't know if they are trying to save $$$ on overhead but they are shooting theirselves in the foot because they are losing lots more $$$ by people leaving. Stellar Service I had a terrible experience at the Cypress Chilis. With that being said corporate gave me some gift certificates for my next visit. I decided Buena Park wasn't much further and that I wouldn't be going to the Cypress location anymore. Such an excellent choice!! Justine went above & beyond. Super personable and really takes the time to make sure your order is exactly correct. Excellent customer service! I can't remember the last time I had drink refills on my table without asking and extra chips and salsa to go with to go drinks! I mean I fine fine at Really high end establishments sometimes and you don't get this service because they think since they work in a high end place that they are exempt from demonstrating excellent service. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of food and service at this particular Chili's location. Not only were our orders consistently wrong, but the quality of the food was subpar. The server's attempt to rectify the situation with a discount did little to make up for the poor experience. The overcooked and salty steak was a final straw, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. I will definitely think twice before returning to this Chili's location in the future.When it was time to pay our bill we noticed they charged us twice for our meals. The manager came to our table to say the charges were correct. I had to pull out a calculator and do the math in front of her, showing her that we were indeed double charged for our food. Her response was that it is illegal to discount alcohol, even though no one had mentioned anything about alcohol in the first place. In the end, it was frustrating to have to teach someone basic addition skills. The blonde night manager on 9/21/24 clearly needs to be retrained in math and should be given a refresher course on customer service.
