Well guess where the kids wanted to eat again!! Second time on our vacation but if the kids like it, how can you go wrong. My wife ordered the the chicken enchilada, my oldest ordered the 3 app combo and I had the steak fajitas. Now my wife's plate came out piping hot but the chicken was only warm on the inside. She didn't mind but wished she would have asked to have it warmed up. My son ordered the onion petals, boneless chicken wings and the cheese curds! All were very good! He loved The chipotle honey bbq sauce on the wings! I had the steak Fajitas, they brought the tortillas right after we ordered and the main dish didn't come out for 15 mins after. So needles to say they were cold by the time we ate. The waitress was very good,, made sure the kitchen knew my son had a shellfish allergy and told us they would make sure that extra care would be given to his dish. Chili's wasn't our first choice for dinner, but my husband and I had a movie we were going to watch that started in 40-45 minutes at the Regal next door, so we decided to eat close to the theater. The first thing we noticed was how clean the place was! Usually at these chain restaurant/diner places, the cleanliness is average (or below average). This Chili's location though, was REALLY clean. The tables, floors, lights, etc. were all noticeably clean! Also, the service was great. The servers were really nice and friendly and checked up on us frequently. The food was... it's Chili's. It wasn't amazing, but your average Chili's food. I will say though, the chili my husband ordered was SUPER salty. It was chunky and had a lot of meat, but for some reason, too much salt (could be because it was later in the day?). Overall, the food we ordered in general was on the salty side. If you're ordering fries, make sure you ask them NOT to salt it or be light on the salt. The salad dressing is a bit salty too, so dressing on the side might be a good idea too. read more

It's been sometime since my family has been here and WOW. The wait for a table was super reasonable and we were seated within the quoted time. Our waitress was friendly and on point. Food was fresh and fast. What ever system they have implemented is working. They were SO efficient. As the waitress was taken our order the drinks were coming before she finished the table. My little ones ordered the kids chicken bites ( cooked chicken breast, it was cooked perfect and juicy) little burger bites and had the honey chipotle chicken crispers, super good. Drinks were refilled without asking and it was really busy in there. The manager was making rounds greeting all the tables which I haven't seen a business do in such a long time. Went in here around 5:30 on a Saturday and it wasn't that busy. We got a table right away. The staff was friendly and I noticed the manager walking around and even helping clean things up. Our server greeted us pretty quick and took our drink order. Drinks came out in 15 minutes and the server apologized that the bartender was busy. We ordered the bacon burger and the mango chicken. We had to wait about 40 minutes for our food. I'm not sure why every Chili's I go to has this issue of not getting food out in a timely manner, it really seems to be an issue with the chain. At any rate, the burger was cooked well and so were the fries. The chicken was rubbery, perhaps sitting too long, though the sauce was nice and spicy. The broccoli was not bad. Rice was a bit dry and there wasn't much. The server was pretty attentive and kept asking us if everything was okay. I don't have a good feeling with this location. Great food and drinks. Jenny is the best waitress ever! She is so friendly and sweet. I recommend the guacamole it is a large portion. Salsa is good, on the spicy side which I enjoyed. We were able to resemble their signature at home and they provided everything for it in the pack. I also got the 3 for 10 deal which comes with an appetizer, entree and a drink. Mango iced tea was great and not sweet at all. Margarita chicken was very delicious and nicely cooked and seasoned. It came with two side of choice, black beans and rice we selected. Didn't have any dinner plans on a chili week day after work. Thinking that Chili's had some good TV ads I figured lets check out their online ordering process. Wow I doesn't get any easier then this! We ordered from the 3 for $10 menu. If your not aware of this option. You get a drink (Non-Alcoholic), an appetizer and entrée, the entree's even come with one or two sides. The process was simple and the food was ready for pick up in 18 minutes. This time happens to be how far of a drive for me to the restaurant from the office. The food was ready and already paid for by me online. I was worried with the cold weather that the food wouldn't be that good. We put the burger, Fries, Chicken crisps and mashed potatoes into the over on broil for a few minutes. Everything was great and nothing like the convenience of eating at home and all for under $22. Ordered a 10 ounce steak with 2 vegetables well done .What was given to me was a 6 ounce burnt on both sides with raw broccoli and raw asparagus . I sent it back immediately and about 10 minutes later I was given the very same plate that I sent back. So I proceeded to just not get anything at all.The server was a very nice young lady who was embarrassed by the whole thing. It's chili's, generic restaurant chain. Place is clean and service is good but it's defiantly a cookie cutter place. Could use a change in music taste, it was like I was sitting in a episode of those shows on CW or TBS that airs mid day. All in all, place is alright and just alright, nothing special but nothing bad either. You don't spend much here, drinks are nice and boozey. They usually have a nice 3 for 10 deal in which u pick a fountain drink, soup or salad and an select entree. Comes out to like 12.50 including tax. They also have a 2 for 22, a couple can pick from a appetizer to share and 2 entrees. 10oz steak is 4 dollars extra. 6oz is included in the deal. I haven't been here in years, but I always order the Margarita Grilled Chicken. I had it again today and it was just as good as I remember it. Ugh, I love there margs! These are the BEST MARGARITAS on the rocks! Carraba's are good too, but I prefer Chili's. My only complaint is they were out of fried pickles AND the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake!! I hadn't been to Chili's in years. I had dinner there last night with 3 other adults. We were seated immediately. The menu has vastly improved from what I remember, it was nice to see. I had the Santa Fe burger. Due to dietary restrictions, I asked for no roll and coleslaw instead of the french fries. The waitress said "you don't want the roll??" I'm sure I'm not the first person to ask this! I said, "no, please ask them to put it on a lettuce leaf". The restaurant really wasn't that busy, however, it took QUITE a while for our food to come.. When she put my platter down in front of me, I had a pile of fries instead of the coleslaw. I reminded her that I had asked for a substitution. Her reply was "oh that's right" and she made the change. The burger was EXCELLENT, the toppings were spot on. The coleslaw was also very good. Our waitress was fairly busy, but still made the rounds to see if we needed anything. My only complaint was the attitude of our waitress; although she was efficient, she seemed very "bothered" when we asked for things. We weren't exceptionally fussy, but we had to ask for water and for more napkins. At the end we had to ask for take-out containers. Each time she had a look on her face like "now what". Their chocolate molten lava cake is a gift from heaven. Some of their baristas are friendly. Cons: Some of their employees are very rude. Their food tastes at best generic, at worst, awful. They're really not that cheap. You're eating nothing but pre-portioned meals and chemicals and preservatives. It's a national chain and uber-corporate. Also, it is more likely that you have a server who has been here for more than a month (since bartender training usually takes several month in my experience). Happy hour runs from 3-6 and then from 9-close. They have 1/2 priced appetizers from a select list. The list was almost all meat items, which didn't help me (as I am a vegetarian). Discount my reviews accordingly. ;) In addition to the happy hour specials, they have 2-for-1 drafts, well drinks, margaritas, and house wines. The glasses are small (at just 10 ounces, so you are truly getting 20 ounces of a beverage instead of the typical 12 or 16). This will make you feel like a little kid who just realized the carnival games are rigged for you to lose. Seriously. Those basketball hoops are bent so far that they aren't even round anymore. Look at them from the side, and you will see what I mean! Annnnyway... the best deal is the wine, since they do seem to give you the full glass of wine. We ordered the trio appetizer ($11.50). We picked the spinach dip, mozzarella sticks, and the chipotle chicken egg rolls. While I didn't try the rolls, for obvious reasons, the spinach dip was soooo salty! It wasn't even the chips, because we had those with the salsa. How do you mess up spinach dip? Mozzarella sticks were kind of cold. All in all, just a meh experience. I really like this place. The servers are always friendly and helpful. They are cheery and quick. We've never had a poor experience with service here. More often than not, our entrees arrive before we are finished with the appetizer. Some patrons find that annoying, but I think it shows that the kitchen staff are on top of things. The food here is exactly what you would expect: Tex-Mex. Ribs, burgers, fried chicken, fajitas, and rice bowls round out the menu. Just recently, Chili's corporate rolled out a newer, more refined menu. They pared it down to their staple meals. As a plant-based eater, this news worried me. I thoroughly enjoy their salads and rice bowls, but would those items make the cut? I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of meal options for vegetarians (vegans may have a little more trouble.) I was also delighted to see in small print that all of the burgers, except the sliders, can be made with a black bean burger! Best news ever! I have a feeling that when corporate brainstormed about this new menu, they were met with the challenge of retaining their vegetarian clientele. Adding the veggie burger option is their saving grace. ALSO, fellow plant eaters, we can have those heavenly fajita skillets that turn everyone's heads as they sizzle on by. There is a chicken, steak, and veggie option! The veggie fajitas come with grilled peppers and onions, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and strips of black bean burger. (And of course it comes with all the fixins on the side.) D-double-icious. Hubby and I went during Happy Hour so we got 2-for-1 drinks with our meal. I sipped on their house margarita, strawberry, frozen, amazing. Maybe "sipped" isn't the right word. "Guzzled" is probably more accurate. And I am really not a big consumer of alcohol at all, just took the opportunity while we were kidsless for the night! If anything turns me off about this location, and really it's the same at all of them, is that everything is sticky. Their endless chips and salsa is an experience few can truly appreciate. My wife and I love to eat the food from Chili's. We typically get the car side to go, but for Valentine's Day, we decided to go out for dinner the proper way, actually sitting in a booth and not our couch. Our waitress, Libby, was awesome! She took our drink and appetizer order and brought them out quickly. (PS. They have great deals for drink specials, tonight select draft beers were 2 for 1). She didn't remember she didn't take our dinner order until she asked us if we wanted a second round of drinks. She took out dinner order and brought out a complimentary tray of chips and salsa to munch on while we waited for our dinner to be prepared. Attentive waiter, good drinks, and clean facility. But it missed the last star due to the asparagus appetizers coming out like a deep fried pile of grease. My asparagus needed some serious patting off (which removed most of the breading and cheese from the asparagus sadly) before consumption. As chains go, this one is a very weak link. For a similar price you can do better at Red Robin, Uno's, Tully's, etc. And this location has lowered in quality tremendously over the past two years. It used to be an OK place to stop with the kids, have a beer with dinner, etc. Their menu has shrunk; there's no more blackened catfish and many of the other slightly more interesting entrees have disappeared. On my most recent visit, the service was horrendous, with servers just walking by and grabbing plates without asking whether we were done with them. I went to Chili's for my birthday since I had a coupon/rewards I wanted to use. I hadn't been there in a very long time and had never used their rewards program before to redeem anything. Plus I was kind of skeptical about whether they would have anything I could eat, since I'm vegetarian. It was pretty busy in there, but our waitress Maureen was very helpful. She did, however, forget to get us utensils, so we got them ourselves from another table. She must have realized that, so when she came back around and I asked her to explain how to redeem a reward, she told me she wouldn't charge me for the free drink and that I could save my reward points for next time. So yeah we waited there around 15-30min (which is normal for there) while I'm literally freezing my balls off (yeah and I thought people who lived in buffalo hates the cold). So I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and when they brought the food I looked to see if they put bacon on the burger. I look and I saw they didn't put bacon on it but guess what they put on it. Yeah they put on mustard (and I HATE mustard). So I asked our waitress whey they put on mustard and she said that the plain burger automatically has mustard on it. Yeah I was pretty pissed off. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants to begin with so it is no surprise that I haven't been to a Chili's in over two decades. Putting that aside and putting things into perspective, I was in Buffalo staying on Transit Road. Our mission: shop till we drop, so after nine hours of bargain hunting, the lure of two for one margaritas and $5 appetizers seemed to go with our theme. The two best things about this experience were as follows: the margaritas were decent and our server was really sweet. We sampled the sliders and fries, the pepperoni pizza, and the Buffalo wings. Everything was so salty! The next morning my hands felt like balloons! The fries tasted like they had been cooked hours ago and then microwaved. Fries are cheap and not difficult to prepare; this just shows a real lack of caring and laziness on a kitchen's part. The wings were decent, but let's be honest, it is pretty hard to f-up a wing, no? This is one of the better chain restaurants. The service and staff is wonderful. Their food is delicious and there are so many options to choose from. The drink menu has anything you could dream of; their margaritas are so good! They are very good about when you ask to not have something on the dish. I am never disappointed when I come here. Started off with a Patron blackberry margarita, it was delicious!! Hubby had strawberry lemonade and Southwest egg roll appetizer. Though this dinner wasn't awful, it certainly wasn't great. My mom and I ordered off of the 2 for $20 menu. Got the chips and corn roasted guacamole which also came with a side salsa. I ordered the Santa Fe Steak which came with corn salsa and jalapeno cheddar mashed potatoes. I'm a mild heat kind of person, mostly because I believe that too much heat robs the food of it's intended flavor. When dishes are too hot I can't properly taste all of the elements, which is part of what I appreciate about food. My dish was so spicy that it majorly detracted from the flavors of the food. The steak, a 6 oz. sirloin looked like a hockey puck and half of it was all tough gristle but the other half was okay and cooked to medium- I asked for medium rare. Disappointing. The potatoes and corn salsa followed suit. Meh. My mom got the chicken crispers. They were terrible. Crispy was more like mushy. And the chicken wasn't really trimmed of all of the fat which is gross to bite into. Overall, I would be more inclined to order a margarita and a couple of appetizers over a meal.
