We have gone to Chili's every-so-often for soup and salad--sometimes we get more substantial fare. We were really looking forward to a nice bowl of soup and plate of salad only to have that positive outlook dashed when the hostess was more interested in socializing and cleaning tables then engaging the customer and seating them before returning to her table prep. We have encountered this hostess before and were faced with her less than welcoming and hardly personable approach. She has shown negative attitude on more than one occasion but this is it for me. She always has an air about her that just rubs the wrong way and she seems to stress about the tables and waitresses/waiters in a way that negativity impacts her job performance and relations with those around her, employee and customer alike. Rather take my chances elsewhere. (Which we did with delicious results)

Called to place an order and they were not taking orders. It was 6:30 pm.

On April 20, 2023, I had a free appetizer that was expiring on my Chili's App and I also had a gift card. We only go out to eat a few times a year, and really never order take-out, but decided to treat ourselves and not cook. My husband spent quite a bit of time selecting his choice from the online menu, and I found something I wanted as well as the appetizer we would share. I went to the car wash and was going to order from there and then pick up the food on the way home. I had not been able to get the app to work, and still could not at the car wash. I also tried ordering through the website. Finally, I called the restaurant and was told that they were having a problem with the HVAC system and were not taking any orders and that they were closed and trying to "get rid" of the people who were currently dining in the restaurant. It was 6:30 pm. I had been trying to get an order to go through online since before I left the house about an hour earlier. We ended up eating scambled eggs and my free appetizer expired that night without me being able to use the perk. I still have the gift cards, but may give them to my daughter who lives where they have a better Chili's. This one used to be really good...so sad that it seems to be having many issues based on the comments and ratings I see here.

This place is like my personal Cheers... singing theme song "where everybody knows your name....". I'll stop... Back to our regularly scheduled review. It is reliable tex-mex/ american food. They often have specials on bar food and drinks that are awesome Sunday-Friday. I think bogo on is every day all day until 10pm on house ,premium drinks and beer The decor is most like every other modern Chili's, and since this is a university town majority of the staff are college students. Very energetic and I always receive excellent customer service.

The food was fine but this place is filthy. Covid precautions are non existence and service was mediocre. They need to clean this place.

Look at this drink over filled and spilling over. So full when I pick it up, it spills onto my hands

I called them on phone and asked about Happy Hour Specials. He didn't know so he gave me somebody who knew a little bit more, but still not enough. They need more education and training. Once arrived, no one was at bar. So I waited. Getting impatient here. A few more minutes go by and some one comes out and I look at her, and they immediately look away although they are behind bar. Then somebody else comes out and I think they are the bar tender and she ignores me too. She pours a couple beers for some customers and then, goes to kitchen. So, I been here about 7 minutes and nobody still hasn't spoke to me yet. Finally, somebody comes out and comes up to me. I ask her about Happy Hour specials and want a menu for that. She says they don't have one. She rambles off a few happy hour hour food items. In summary, they need a happy hour food menu. There's just to many problems what's on special and not. She mentions the new digital monitors in front of you has it but further states not all are on special. This makes it confusing. She's not friendly either and never smiles. Also it's kinda cold outside and they have the AC on. So I'm cold and - I have a long sleeved shirt on. I ain't coming here no more. I wished I had gone to BWW. I would have had a better time there.

Decided to go to Chilis tonight. Join the waitlist. Shows 15-33 min. Get there to check in. They don't have us. Hostess asked if I picked the correct restaurant. Correct location. Showing there is no wait time and we are first in line. They don't have me on the list. Restaurant is about empty. Two people waiting. Tell us it will be 30-40 minute wait. Ridiculous. Consider it the nail in the coffin. Officially off my list of restaurants to visit.

Really?! You need a review of Chili's?! It's the same as everywhere I guess. This one seems pretty slow, though as far as Chili's go.

The cajun chicken pasta is amazing. Especially with shrimp! Also love the big mouth bites, skillet mashed potatoes, and the sirloin.

It's about the best you can hope for at a chain restaurant. Bartenders seem pretty solid. Menu is also.

He did clarify that Thursday and Friday are their big specials day, and I think because they have alcohol specials on those days. If I'm wrong, then perhaps someone from the restaurant could reply and correct me. There seems to be some outdoor seating available, but I opted to eat inside. Regarding the bathroom, it's a public bathroom with 1 urinal and 1 stall that provides paper towels. The condition was fine, the paper towel dispenser was empty and paper towels had to be gotten from the roll that was on top of the dispenser. It would have been nice if someone had just put the roll in the dispenser. For my entrée, I ordered the Chamorro En Mole, which took about 28 minutes to arrive. The lengthy prep time could be only for certain menu items, as it seemed food orders for other customers came in a timely manner. Still, had I not brought my Steam Deck to play, I would probably have been more upset with how long the food took. They do give free chips and salsa, so if you come hungry and order something with a lengthy prep time, you at least get a free snack while you wait. As for the food itself, the house salad that comes with the Chamorro En Mole seemed to be comprised of grated carrot, onion, diced tomato, lettuce, spinach, and cheese and came with ranch dressing on the side. The salad did taste fresh though and not like it had been sitting out. As for the Chamorro itself, the mashed potatoes tased just like potatoes. I don't think they mix anything into them since they're served with osso bucco and sauce on top of them. The osso bucco itself was thankfully moist and tasty. I had never hade mole sauce before, and while I wasn't taken by it on my first bite, the more of it I ate, the more I liked it. As for spice level, there was a hint of spiciness to it, but I'd say its barely there. For dessert, I went with the Chocolate Overload, which is a slice of chocolate cake with whipped cream. That only took 4 minutes and 39 seconds to arrive. The whipped cream was light, and the cake itself was indeed very chocolatey, so I enjoyed it. When I got the receipt for my bill, I noticed that they don't list the specific things you order, which I wish they did to help verify the cost of the meal. As a general summary of my experience, despite the lengthy food prep time and the paper towel roll not being in the dispenser in the bathroom, I still left satisfied with my dinner and am willing to give it another try. Last thing I'll mention is that if you eat here for your birthday, they will sing happy birthday to you and offer you a free dessert.

It was a little chilly, but not quite "Ohio" chilly so we sat ourselves outside with a couple of hazy IPA aka Juice Bombs from Sloop Brewery. This brew pub is sandwiched between brick buildings: Stacks, a burger pub, on the right and another commercial building on the left. Across the street is the Police, so be warned, and don't get too funky. We asked if they had food and said no but it was ok to get some take out and eat it at their table or order from Stacks (what we did) and they bring it to your table from next door. Even better. Stacks' mushroom burger and stack cheese burger were very good too. We washed those down with another set of local IPAs called Southeast by Tailgate Brewery in Nashville, TN, also very good. Some of the tables have heating lamps which would have been nice as it got chillier. Not ours. But no sweat. This place does occasionally make their own beer as well but it's primarily a brew pub which sells other beer and canned beer from all over. I'm glad we had a chance to come. Now for the drive home. Thankfully we are less than 2 hours away. Atlanta here we come!
