I stood at the wait to be seated line for 10 minutes. No one came up to me except for the couple that came in after me and asked me if I worked there. Finally, I stopped a waiter and asked if I could sit in the bar area at a table. He said yes so I sat down and waited, and waited, and waited. No one ever said hi, go to hell or anything. So I left. Visiting out of town-this food nearly made us pack our bags and leave for home. The dip was a bowl of salt that we all burned our tongues on-then trashed. The chicken fried chicken was dry, tough and unseasoned. Same for the buffalo bbq chicken sandwich whatever is was. The salad came without the requested dressing. Ordered drinks. No straws, no silverware, no dressing. Also ordered kids burgers-they were more like Oreos(see pic). It says Chili's on the sign, but this was a terrible representation of the ones we've eaten at before. Very disappointing. Spent $70 on this meal, only to trash it all after a night or two. I've been a Chili's customer for years. I love their Southwestern Eggrolls. You cannot imagine my disappointment when, upon my visit today, there was no one at the front to seat us. we waited with another couple for 10 minutes before someone showed up to seat them. we, were never even acknowledged,?as we stood waiting for many minutes more. I've been coming to this Chili's off and on for years and have really good service consistently. The food has been good and they know how to pour a drink at the bar. We sat at a table in the bar area that was available (first come, first serve) and got right in despite the crowded waiting area. I usually have a burger, but tonight I tried some of the new soft tacos they have on the menu and they were tasty! Can't go wrong here, I think. read more

Had to ask the bar tender to clean the bar after he attempted to put a napkin down on top of crumbs for our beer. There were a bunch of bar gnats that kept buzzing around and the bar had an odor. My husband attempted to go to the restroom, he said there was urine all over the floor and urinal and stunk so bad he decided to wait until we got home to use the restroom. I do have to say they have stepped up their game. Their menu used to be about 3 pages now it's over four pages long. My entree was good, I had salmon with black beans and some quinoa. Now the dessert was SUPERB, I ordered one of their new items. Aw, man! That was extra deli-sh. I did notice and use their new Ziosk tablet, you can order your dessert, order any alcoholic beverages and pay for your tab. Which is EXTREMELY convenient especially if you are in a hurry. It gives you an option on what percentage to tip your waiter or waitress. Our waiter was very friendly and outgoing. He provided us with excellent service. I was not disappointed! read more

First off, the service here has always been great. Just to be clear. But read below for detailed explanation of my rating: Millennials are often blamed for killing restaurants like Chili's. The truth is more boring- these chain places can serve up some fairly bland food. Chili's does best with simple things like burgers and fries, but falters on the fajitas. Their smoked wings, bone -in, are great and up there with wingstop and the other places. The service here at the SPID location has always been great, and food comes out promptly. SO what is the downside? well, pretty much every other mexican restaurant in town has better fajitas for same or lower price. The chicken fajitas, for example, lack much in way of spices or seasoning. It taste like a chicken breast fillet from a grilled chicken sandwich was dumped on a plate of grilled onions/peppers. It's not actual fajita meat. The burgers are solid, the fries are well done and worth ordering a a appetizer, with or without cheese. The steaks are average-- if you want steak at a chain restaurant, Long horn might be up your alley instead. Also-- chili's had a straaange rewards program. They just canceled a "Plenti Points" partnership, wherein you earn 1 point for every 2 bucks spent. So what's the catch? well, they DO NOT tell you how many points you need to get savings. So I emailed chili's and got a response....a week later. I'll share it with you: "As of February 1, 2018, it has been announced that Chili's will no longer partner with Plenti. Guests will be unable to earn Plenti points after March 15th. Although Plenti points may be used until May 3rd, guests must have 200 Plenti points to redeem. 200 points is equal to $2.00 savings." So one must spend 400 DOLLARS just to earn TWO DOLLARS in store credit. That is probably the most diluted 'rewards' program of all time. Your airline, your coffee shop, your laundromat, Petco, credit cards...pretty much all of then give better rewards than Chili's does. Maybe that's why they're ending the program. Hopefully it's being replaced with a better one, so consumers like me don't "sign in" to a plenti kiosk at every meal to earn imaginary points with almost no value. The $100 that I've spent on 4 meals at Chili's in 2018 was not enough to even halfway to a two dollar discount minimum threshold. Do better, Chili's !! read more

My family was passing through to North Padre Beach and wanted dinner before reaching the hotel. We ordered online when we were 20 mins away. It was so easy to order online. My family of four got an appetizer and 4 entrees. Everything was cooked perfect and we received everything we ordered at exactly the estimated time we were given. We got there 10 mins early and received our food right on time. Will be eating here again. Really appreciated a great spot after a long trip with two little ones. We ate here while on vacation with our daughters (4&6). They wanted Chilis so we decided to humor it and go. Everyone at this location was so nice and helpful, our food and drinks were out quickly, and you can't beat the value. The price is so good for the portion size (plenty of leftovers) and the food is delicious. read more

I have been a server before so I know what it's like , and the service here was horrible. The hostess could care less and we had to ask for napkins. Our server was okay but when he bought out the food I was still waiting on my fries by the time we finished our food. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Yesterday for lunch a female waiter served us...later that evening I discovered she added herself an extra 14$ on top of my tip... My husband and I made the day trip from San Antonio to Port Aransas and stopped by this Chili's before we left. We ordered the three meat fajitas for curbside, and it said it would be ready by 6:47. It's 7:10, and my husband had to run inside to get our food that's now cold because the woman working the counter pushed it to the side and got to every car that pulled up after us. In town for business and went to chilis after work for dinner. Sat in the bar area and my server could not have been more pleasant. Wish I could remember his name because he went out of his way to anticipate what I wanted (granted it was early and slower, but I was still quite impressed). It's the small details that count toward a great service experience! He told me the blue moon came in a bottle but provided me with a chilled glass and orange; he brought me extra sides of sauce without me asking for them or paying for them; instead of giving me empty containers for my chips and salsa at the end of the meal, he packaged up fresh salsa and chips and even gave me another two extra sides of sauce in to-go containers. This was way above my expectations for a Chilis or any big chain. I wish there were more servers like this guy! read more

Worst expierience due to one comment by a manager i'm thinking. I had come in to celebrate my Birthday alone and got the free queso and order steak fajitas. The queso was unremarkable and i did not touch the salsa served with the tortilla chips. The chips were paper thin and usually broke when scooping up the queso. The chips were undercooked and greasy. As i waited for my beef fajitas the waitress was very attentive in refilling my water. When i was served my Beef fajitas, the manager made the comment as he walked by of " you are going to eat all that? I instantly lost my desire to sit in that bar portion of the restaurant. I had previously asked for and got a to go box so i packed it all up and left. I will say the presentation of the plate was excellent. The tortillas looked store made instead of homemade. Worst restaurant experience EVER. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant this much. My reasons: 1. The expected wait to be seated was 30-45 min. I checked the waitlist, we were one of two large groups waiting to be seated. We were #6 and they were #7. The other group got seated before we did. I walked in after an hour of waiting to ask how much longer. I am told my table is being cleaned. The table that was to be given to us, was empty and not being cleaned. 2. The chairs and restaurant in general was dirty. Especially the bathrooms. Horribly dirty. 3. After being seated, we waited an hour before even ORDERING our food. And another hour to get our food. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:50pm and got our food at 10pm. 4. The food wasn't great. I can only really complain about two of the meals. One was a Medium Rare steak that looked way too raw. The other was the Avocado steak which was over cooked and looked NOTHING like the picture. The avocado steak was also warm as if it had been sitting out for a while before being served. The waiter looked like he was drowning, I felt for him. This restaurant is in desperate need of new management. I've never seen anything like that. read more

Never had a bad experience until tonight. Service was horrible. I placed a call in order. Upon arrival half of my order was sitting on a table half was not done. Finally when I got my order it was wrong the server Jen called the manager and said what do we do she doesn't want the tomatoes picked off. Obviously not if I'm paying for it. No one said sorry at first and I ended up waiting for a call in order for over 30 mins. Finally when I got my remake the manager then said sorry. I look in my bag to find the ice cream completely melted because the server Jen did not take them out before putting them under the heat. Besides all this I get home and only 2 breads for 4 orders of the pasta and the extra 2 I had ordered were also not in the bag. Only 2 cutlery were in the bag for 6 items. My wife and kids ordered food online and it was supposed to be done for curbside at 6:15. She didn't receive her food till 6:55. When she asked the staff member what took so long she said the food was done in time but that the girl that was in charge of the order couldn't pronounce the last name on the order so it sat on the counter the entire 40 extra minutes. The girl that finally delivered it was very apologetic and sincere. I'm giving 2 stars because the food was made right and the lady was nice but was cold because of the extra 40 minutes it sat on the counter due to a worker not being able to read. read more

Myself and four friends sat at the bar yesterday around 12-1pm. The bartender was extremely rude. We saw two roaches on the bar top inches away from our food. When we told the manager he just looked really quick and said "Aww man we will get that wiped down"..nothing was done. We then told the bartender and she did nothing but looked at us like we were stupid. I know she looked right at the two roaches but also did nothing! One of my friends is a server at Chili's in San Antonio, she said if that would have happened at her Chili's they would have cleared the whole bar top and done everything they could to make our experience better. This location has definitely lost our business during future visits to the coast! Also apparently the regional manager was there that morning.. I wish he was there by time we got there! Terrible service. After waiting for a host or hostess for 10 minutes someone from the kitchen finally seated us. They could say from lack of help but after we were seated we were ignored for at least 20 minutes. Waitress saw us but passed by our table and never greeted us. Table was dirty as well. I asked the guy working at the bar if we could get service and he told the girl but she still ignored us. We finally left. We've always loved the food at Chili's but this location needs some help with service. Sad. read more

I had grilled salmon yesterday, which to me more like STEAMED salmon, with no flavor at all. I mean AT ALL. Got uncooked appetizer tortilla chips. I could tell our server was busy. She was very busy, but I still saw 4 girls at front chatting, other just walk by our table empty handed, and do not even care to ask if customers wanted more iced tea or water. Floor was greasy and slippery, and the girl seated us to the table said "Carefull, it is slippery" or something like that. I could only say "It is!" ... If anyone know the place needs cleaning, why don't they? We just found another restaurant we will never go back. read more

I have had the worst experience more than once from this location and with Covid I only order to go. I called at 10:24 to place my order and she said they stopped I was already outside. Then went inside to place my order it was still a few min. Before 10:30 and she refused to take it as well. Mind you it's kind of slow if I would have dined in it would have taken longer for me to eat they just wanted to close early. They need to work on their to go process, last time I went in just for a chocolate molten and the inside was frozen I had to just pick at the outside. Nobody ever came to see me and eventually a manager saw me sitting there unserved and came by to take my drink and meal order. A very long period of time passed before somebody came by and refilled my drink and then another long period of time before somebody totally different brought my food out. Out of this whole experience I did not know who my server was and wasn't sure who was going to earn my tip for the service I received. against my better judgement I left 15%.
