I was not happy at all with my experience and I ordered takeout! First, it took forever to place my order over the phone. I only ordered 2 appetizers. The girl told me it would take 15 minutes for my order to be ready. When I go to pick up my order there were 2 people in front of me and they'd obviously been waiting a while. There was no one at the to-go area and we stood there waiting about 5 minutes until the to-go girl finally showed up. After she finally and slowly saw the two customers in front of me about 15 minutes had passed. I finally wait for her to get my order ready (wings and guacamole) and pay. This Chili's is no different than any other Chili's. I can always expect the food to taste the same every time I go. The service is good and the food is as well. Usually I come here to grab a quick lunch and all is well; people are polite, food is decent, average chain restaurant experience. Today I assumed things would be the same. I ordered a California Turkey Club to go, mayo on the side, as I often do. Simple order, easy to slap together, even during the lunch rush. The first time my food came out, I checked it before I left and noticed it was a half sandwich (I ordered a whole) missing both bacon and avocado. No problem- humans make mistakes. I asked for another, and after about a 10 minute or so wait, was given a remade sandwich with plenty of fries. It looked fine at first glance, so I took it and left to go back work. I sit down to eat once I'm at work, and see the sandwich is missing not only avocado this time, but the *turkey* too (the reason I ordered a *turkey* club). The BLT I received would have been fine had that been what I ordered and paid for...but it wasn't. Didn't go back to have it remade *again* because my lunch break was over by the time I got back to work...and I was pretty done by this point. Avoid this place if you expect accuracy from kitchen staff during busier times. We enjoy coming here. I love the ancho salmon and the bacon ranch quesadilla. They have great promotions through email for free appetizers or dessert on a frequent basis, and I love earning points with every meal to go towards getting something free. My complaint with this location is that the last 3 times we have visited they were out of something we wanted to order. Wine, molten lava cake, ice cream, and fish for the fish tacos. Just returned to one of my once-favorite places to eat & have a drink. I have been out-of-town for over a year and was wondering if the rude bartender that once made me stop going there might be gone. Good news was - she was not there! Bad news was - place smelled like ASS! Really disgusting odor met me upon entering. When I sat at the empty bar, my hands stuck to the countertop. A very friendly bartender said she would be right with me but as I looked around behind the bar, wondering just what that smell was, I saw bar sinks sitting with what looked like last weeks wash water and something growing on the faucets. Very disappointed in my visit tonight. Upon arrival the hostesses got confused and seated 2 parties before my family of 4 with a toddler. So we had to wait 15 min, and the hostess had no apology only excuses (no 1) and hostess (no 2) only apologized after the comment I made to my husband about poor service YOU Have 1 JOB. Waiter was a nice enough guy did a good job but the kitchen got the order wrong but who do you blame the waiter that didn't write it down or the kitchen who knows. Sorry not sending it back ... you never know what they do when your that customer. We frequent this chili's regularly the last few visits have been less than desirable experiences. It was terrible.Went with a party of ten for a bridal meeting.My drink was leaking on the table and the waitress told me"Yea they do tht!3 of the girls had to send their food back because it was cold and the skillet fries were full of cheese and only a few specks of bacon bits and 2,yes I said 2 green onions slivers!Also my food was 26.71 and I gave the waitress my card and 20 cash,I instructed her to take 20 off my card and 6.71 out of the 20.She came back with no receipt for me to sign but my card and 15 cash.So I thought that was odd,in the morning I check online banking and see I was charged the full 26.71 on my card.So where is my 5 she took from the 20?U guessed it,this child Stole the 5.I called the restaurant immediately and they true to refund the 6.71Um no I want every dime back ,which she agreed to do.Waitress name was Cara.Ill never step foot in this establishment again read more

Extremely terrible service tonight at the Hammond, La location . We met some new friends here for dinner and I ordered the $5 margarita they had on special. They brought me another drink and at first I didn't realize it until my friend ordered the same one and hers was different. They were both pink but different pinks and had different fruits which is how we figured it out. I showed our waitress, Jordyn who was also training a new guy (good luck to him), she confirmed they gave me the wrong drink. She left the wrong one and went to get me a new one. Since she left the first drink I figured I could finish it. Wrong Choice! She told me because I drank it they were charging me for it! What! You brought me the wrong drink, didn't remove it when you where told it wasn't the correct one but I had to pay for it! The new one wasn't in a margarita glass because she said they ran out of the fancy glass and didn't have the rim sugared. When I said something about that they sugared a new beer glass and just gave it to me. She also brought out a salad with no dressing, we ordered a burger with no pickles and it had pickles all over the bottom bun, the chips were stale and had to send back the first batch to get a new one and they weren't any better. If we weren't there with a new set of friends I would have spoken to the manager because this was by far the worst dining experience in Hammond we've had. The manager was on his cellphone all night and never once checked on any tables like other managers do at other locations. We just moved here and loved Chili's where we used to live but sadly after tonight we will probably never come back. The only reason I gave this sewerage infested dump one star is because they don't have a minus. My wife and I skipped breakfast on Friday (July 17th), and drove to Hammond to eat at Chili's. Arriving there at noon, we had eaten nothing for eighteen hours. I had a hamburger, fries, and beer. My wife had the top-shelf tacos. The service was exceptional....the server kept coming by and asking us if everything was "all right." That should have aroused our suspicions...too much action for burger and tacos. We left a $5.00 tip, went shopping, then drove home. My wife, being smarter than me, took laxatives when we began to feel "funny." By three am, the toilet and I had become close friends. I was miserable, and in and out of bed, for three days. Now, I'm weak and eating bland foods to try and get my strength back. NEVER AGAIN! I don't know how they screwed up the food, and I really don't care. I'll never go to another Chili's again. Be warned. read more

Time for new management at the Chili's in Hammond, Louisiana. This is the second time in a month I had a bad experience. They did not have enough employees working and we're out of several food items - both indicators of poor management. The few employees they had working were overburdened and in the weeds the whole time. Someone in management visited our table to tell us they were sorry for the inconvenience of missing items and allowed us to change our order, but never told our waiter of the change. My friend's food was severely undercooked like someone just didn't check to see if it was done before throwing it on a plate and sending it out to the floor. I've been coming to this particular restaurant for years and have never had a series of bad experiences like this. This wasn't a waitress having an off night or someone getting an order wrong, but full blown lack of organization. I feel sorry for the employees working for whomever is supposed to be in charge. I won't be returning until some changes are made. read more

Just awful!! I ordered online for pick up and sent my son to get it at the time specified on their website. The food was cold as a stone when it got here, the fajitas were a dry, congealed, tiny little portion of beef jerky and we were missing two containers of queso that I was charged for. I had to call and they asked if I wanted to drive the 7 miles from my house to pick up the queso. Are they kidding with me? I had them refund them back to my card. My husband ended up throwing the $15 over priced fajitas in the trash where they belong. Horrible all the way around. read more

My last visit to this chili's was definitely my worst. Our waitress was kind, at first. She did not refill our drinks once. She rarely stopped at the table, even though all the tables around us were empty. She didn't bring us enough silverware or straws. The only time she was a competent waitress was when taking our drink orders. Before our apps came out, we were approached by the manager and told our food would be a while because there was a mishap in the kitchen and she would bring out a dessert for the table after our meal. That was fine. Things happen and she was trying to rectify that. When i got my "original" chicken strips(which were usially fluffy and soft), i noticed there was barely any batter and they looked like they were just strips dipped in flour instead of batter and fried. That was after she brought me the wrong type of strips in the first place. When i got my order, my fried and mashed potatoes were cold, as if they were sitting on a counter until new chicken was being caught, slaughtered and processed for my order. I asked for the manager to ask if they had changed the recipe for the original strips so i would know not to order them again(because this was my go-to item on the menu). She came and saif they had changed it about a month ago. So anyone who was a fan of their fluffy original chicken strips, i would suggest getting a new fave. The manager offered me a replacent for my chicken and i reluctantly said a simple burger would do. I didn't plan on making my group wait for me to eat seeing as how they were already done. So i boxed the burger up along with my chicken strips(for my dogs). Waited about 25 minutes before the waitress came back to the table. Some of us were paying cash. Overall the serive from the waitress was terrible. And we never did get that dessert. read more

I like Chili's but this is the worst I have ever been too. Service was poor. I ordered the chicken tacos entrée. When the plate came out it was not appealing at all. Avocado was old, very brown and had rotten spots on it. The cilantro was also half rotten. Cilantro should be green half black. When I showed the server she stated it was just a little brown and would bring me out fresh slices to replace the rotten ones on the tacos. Then she called here manager over. The manager stated there was nothing wrong with it but would make new ones or I could order something else instead. She took the plate and never came back. Server came back after everyone else had finished their food. I told the server I didn't want anything else it was too late. They did take the price of the tacos off the bill. Big deal.
