I have ordered chili's to go from this location for a while including last night and sadly will no longer. I am hopeful each time that my order will be correct, there won't be a long wait, and the presentation of the food will be appetizing. However more times than not I am disappointed. I have learned from this chili's to ALWAYS check your food before you leave because I have left too many times with either a side or appetizer just completely missing. It is one thing to make a mistake, however when you are making the same mistakes over and over again I can only blame myself for thinking it would be better. This is going to be long, but I promise it will be worth it. My family (a party of 4 adults, 4 children), went to lunch on Saturday, March the 2. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who promptly cleared a table for us and got us seated. Great start to a horrendous experience. I ordered a margarita, NO SALT. It came in a pint glass with salt all over the rim. I asked the server who delivered the drink (who was not our own server) to please have it remade, as salt can change the taste of a margarita which is why I prefer it without. Two seconds later, a different server was back, same margarita, different glass. They simply poured the previous margarita into a new glass, which in theory would have been fine had it not caused the salt on the rim to transfer to the new glass. I let it go. We proceeded to order our lunches. While the online menu lists the Caribbean Salad as two separate salads (one with shrimp, one with grilled chicken), the in store menu lists the salad as a base salad (no protein) and then gives you the upcharge options to add grilled shrimp or chicken to your salad. My cousin and I both chose to add the grilled shrimp. Fast forward to our food arriving. As other commenters mentioned, we were also missing menu items and items we did receive were wrong. My cousin has an allergy that makes digesting proteins like chicken or beef next to impossible. When our salads came out with both chicken and shrimp, we politely explained to our waitress that her salad would have to be completely remade due to an allergy and that we definitely did NOT ask for chicken to begin with. SO REMADE... From scratch. Not just having the chicken pieces picked out and having the pre existing salad re-plated. I assured them that I did not have an allergy and would just prefer not to have the chicken. The server apologized profusely, and went off to get it remade. When the salads finally came back to the table, I noticed a large piece of chicken in mine and alerted my cousin who then found chicken in hers. After we had JUST EXPLAINED an allergy. We didn't realize cross contamination was such a nonchalant act. My cousin was so concerned about the cooks inability to keep her food separate that she chose not to eat at all. During all of this, a manager never came to the table. Not to check on us after the sent back drink, not after two salads had been sent back being due to allergy, nada. In fact, the only time we saw him was when he sauntered up to the host stand, looking and acting unbelievably unprofessional with a backwards baseball hat, untucked flannel shirt, and jeans. We still got ZERO acknowledgment. I also know it was your manager because one of the staff members addressed him as "Matt" and low and behold about the door, that was also the "managing partners name"... what a joke. Now I understand working in places like Chili's is hard. You aren't known for having the best kind of clientele. But by treating every guest in your establishment like they are that kind of clientele pushes the good ones out. See, we are the exact kind of people you WANT to dine there. We like to enjoy a few cocktails, we try to ask for everything we need (like ketchup or napkins) in one sitting so we don't run our server like a dog, and we all have worked or still work in the service industry. We know what good customer service looks like and even give a lot of grace when it's lacking. The health code violations just absolutely blow my mind. How meats end up on the wrong plates just concerns me for any other people who may have allergies. The lack of communication between the management and staff is atrocious and the lack of communication between the management and the guests in the facility is worse. His name is on the building and he is ultimately responsible. Given how many one star reviews this location has, it may be a really good time to clean house. Also, we will never dine here again and will definitely be passing the word through to our service industry friends... including those in the health department :) read more

Placed an order for curbside pickup & received a confirmation email that order would be done at 5pm. I arrived & notified them as requested. They said they'd be right out. At 5:15 still no one came out. I texted and called again & again they said they'd be right out. 15 more minutes passed so I went inside to inquire & our food was just sitting there. They claim it just came out but it was stone cold. Cold and skimpy. We always get the margarita chicken and there was hardly any rice or beans. And the beans didn't even look right. Usually they are truly black beans they these liked like red beans. Take out amt was not the amt of food you get when you're sitting at a table. Also The taste was off meaning they didn't use the proper spices. So I paid $90 including tip for food that was 30 minutes late, cold and didn't taste right. Apps were good though. No one apologized. Manager was nowhere to be found. They should have been out front helping and apologizing to people. They've had 2 1/2 mos to get this right during Covid and they failed miserably. This was a waste of money and time. It's going to be along time before I give Chili's another try. And most definitely won't be this location. read more

Where do I start... 1) We went here for dinner and they were absolutely out of everything. Some of the items we had already and the server had to repeatedly come out and say oh we don't have this. Oh we don't have this. Oh we don't have this. I lost count. I felt bad for the poor girl having to come out repeatedly. 2) We waited for almost an hour and a half for food and not even all of the food. 3 people at our table had food and he rest didn't 3) The nachos we ordered as an appetizer took about 30 min and we got them they look like they ran out of everything and they threw something together it was pitiful! 4) We finally got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was so hard we literally could have broken something with it. It felt like they made that sandwich an hour ago and just left it there. We had to send it back. And the broccoli on one of our plates some how was cook but chewy and like dead. I don't even know how they managed to mess up broccoli all they had to do was steam it. 5) We spoke to the manager when our food wasn't coming out and the manager literally had nothing to say. Just stood there dumbfounded. Couldn't say anything. I didn't even know what to say about that. Chili's is great but this location is absolutely horrible. This place has steadily been going down hill over the past 2 years. I have extremely disappointed every time, however I continue to come here hoping things changed. The food is good, but the service is horrible!!! I can't blame one particular server, because it has happened with multiple, so I believe it's a management problem. They may have a zero wait for sitting, but the wait time for food is over an hour, and it doesn't mater what time of day. If you have a short temper you may want to stay away. Horrible Service. Food was cold and overlooked. Waitress didn't take anything off the table, we didn't get to our second order as the first one was messed up. Left hungry and unhappy. You would be better off at the Chilis near Triangle Town Center, or the Applebee's right next door. i have lived near knightdale my whole life, i've frequented this chili's for a long time now. i never expect good service since bad service is their brand. today they went beyond bad service the whole experience sucked. music was too loud so everyone else was also loud. our server kept complaining instead of trying to make the best out of his situation (he had 14 tables because someone didn't show but he only had 5 tables that he went to). we have been here since 5:15 it's now 6:40 and we are still waiting on some of our order. if you have time money and sanity to waste come here if not go somewhere like applebee's. just sucked. read more

This place was terrible. Waited about 10 mins before our server finally came to take our drink order. By then we already knew everything we wanted and ordered it with our drinks. 30 mins later still no drinks and the place was seriously not even that busy. We're told our margaritas were coming 3 times but they didn't so we finally just canceled them. The guy at the table beside us ordered a Bud Light in a bottle and it was added to OUR tab and then it still took them 20 mins for him to get his bottled beer. We were told by our waiter that the place was going through a "complete meltdown" (his exact words) and that the bartender was "swamped" and did we want to talk to Alicia? I was like, who is that? Turns out she's the manager. She should have been visible, out patrolling the restaurant, putting out all the small fires, talking to customers or at least helping the poor swamped bartender. Whoever this Alicia is needs to step it up because her restaurant was falling apart on a not very busy Monday night. The food tasted fine and came out at a reasonable time so it seems that the kitchen had their stuff together. The servers seen to spend most of their time hiding somewhere behind that wall that says "team members only." Must be better in there than out here with all of the complaining customers. Was hoping to enjoy a nice dinner with my boyfriend but Chili's in Knightdale ruined that! The portions were terribly small. When we inquired about it the waiter said staff had been ringing up food for themselves at discounted prices causing a depletion in food supplies AND a price increase in their dishes. WHAT? So because you can't contain employee theft, you punish your customers? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? And the quality of the food? Disgusting. We both had the fajitas. There were more half cooked onions and peppers than steak or chicken. The fajitas were brought out NOT sizzling. The steak was rubber and covered in pepper! The chicken looked like it had been pre-cooked, sliced, frozen, and then thawed in hot water before being thrown on the fajita tray. There was no seasoning on the chicken!! There weren't even grill marks! The 1/4 cup of rice was bland. The black beans tasted like someone opened a can of black beans and a can of diced tomatoes, poured them together and heated them to lukewarm. It was disgusting! If I could give this place less than 1 star, I would. It has been removed from our future restaurant options. They need to shut it down and put a better option in its place! read more

Crazy wait!! 30 mins for a table, 20 mins for a drink, we even waited to see who was waiting on us tonight!! After waiting so long I will say the food was well worth the wait! A little skeptical at first, we heard a bunch of disgruntled people leaving and even the table seated close to us suggested we leave while we could. However, our small party of three left pleased even after nearly evaporating from hunger!! Three stars only because after being seated our 1st waitress said she would be back and we never saw her again...thankfully Shauna(sp) noticed we had been sitting for some time and asked if anyone was assisting us and decided to assist. Although amazing at her job we had been waiting without anything for 20 mins without drinks. After Shauna took over things did get a lot better. Shauna immediately took our full order and we still waited another 30 mins...which she explained to us was on the kitchen. However, the difference is Shauna kept us posted, drinks fresh etc!! So because of her customer service and service skills I gave 2 of the stars and the other because when the food did arrive the order was correct, fresh and seasoned well!! Nothing to make a special stop for as far as food but Shauna alone on such a busy night was worth a special tip! She was able to maintain focus and please customers without selling false hope...she stayed in contact with the kitchen staff and gave us time counts on when our food would be out!! read more

Another bad experience at this Chilis. After a 10 minute wait to be greeted by a server he finally took our drink and app order. After a while the non bar drink was dropped off and it was not correct. Another 10 minutes later the chips came without the queso and still no bar drinks. Server went to correct the coke mistake. The chips were greasy snd chewy not crunchy. Chilis has the best chips and salsa server came back with the correct soft drink and asked if we were ready to order. We still didn't have our bar drinks and we mentioned the issue with the chips and no drinks. Server took our order and the chips and left. A little while the queso came and no chips. The bar dropped off our drinks. Our 13 year old grand daughter wanted to just leave. She was the reason we were here tonight. We finished our drinks and still no chips and I was eating the queso with my finger. We decided at that point to just tab out and go to the next closest chilis. Our order had not yet been put into the system. Never got our chips. I had to go get our server at The pos to tell him we were leaving and to bring our drink check. A manager came and apologized and corrected our check. The entertainment device was on it the took the server over 10 minutes to program. We keep checking back at this location every few months to see if management has figured it out yet. Maybe again one day. read more

I got curbside pick up. I wasn't bothered that I had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes, just meant my food would be hot (or so I thought). Got home and it's cold. Not the slightest bit warm or cool, but cold. It was the cajun chicken pasta. There was hardly any sauce, no cajun seasoning, and no garlic bread. Won't be returning. read more

A 91 sanitation grade?? Really? Apparently this restaurant doesn't care about its reviews or its reputation, otherwise the people employed there would not be there. It's unfortunate that I was hungry and made this Chili's location my destination. I called in an order and the girl who answered the phone was as rude as she could be. I was attempting to place my order and she was rushing me as if she had something else to do (at 10pm on a Sunday). When I asked about the soups, she blew so hard in the phone I thought she was blowing out birthday candles. I just told her to not worry about it. The burger we ordered was dry and over cooked, and my "bowl" had about 1 cup of product in it, for $10. If you are considering this location, rethink it! Unless of course you like places that lack in customer service, appreciation, and cleanliness. Dear Chili's: please pride yourself in hiring people who care about their job, not just a paycheck. Your sanitation grade is a reflection of your management... So you might want to rethink that as well. I WONT be going back, for anything. Not even a pit stop to the restroom! Chili's is quite possibly one of my favorite big chain restaurants. I've been to many and have had few complaints. The one in Knightdale has become the exception. While the food was good, the service was not. Our waitress seemed that was last place she wanted to be. In what seemed to be something I didn't think would ever happen, we received our food before even getting the waters we ordered right after being seated. Our water and margaritas took forever to arrive even after reminding her that we had ordered those BEFORE even placing our food order. I know there can be a hold-up at the bar during crowded times, but the restaurant was barely half full during this time. This was my first time at this location, but it may be my last; considering there are others scattered about in various directions. The service is ultimately what I feel can make or break a dining experience, and this definitely soured mine. read more

We frequent the Knightdale and the Wilson Chilis stores quite often. Both have the most friendly staff, awesome food and fabulous drinks. We love Chilis and especially love the tortilla chips there. They compare to none!!!! read more

The only reason I give them one stars is for the waitress. She was sweet and had a big party next to us and the food was ok. When arriving to restaurant late in evening about 9:00 walked in with empty tables and the hostess states the wait was going to be 10-15 minutes. There was absolutely no one else waiting and I looked at her like are you kidding me their was table's empty. She got the manager and when he came over he must of been in the military but he got in front of me (to close invading my space with a empty lobby) at a army stands and explained in a stern way why we could not have a table. Needless to say my family of 5 was ready to go to Apple Bees right next store and he stated we can have the table in the bar. Manager never came over to see how the service was or how's the food. When leaving two of the hostesses was standing in the front and they looked at us like thank god their leaving. Felt very uncomfortable and I guess that shows you and the people you work with in a managers position attitude trickles down. Manager stern and unfriendly and hostesses unfriendly and rude. Live in Knightdale for eight years and worst treatment ever. Not a friendly service especially so other different avenues we could of done with our money. Awful to-go service. The girl behind the counter just talked on the phone for 15 minutes while my food behind her got cold. It's common sense to help the person standing in front of you, especially when I got there 10 minutes after the food was supposed to be ready for pick up. She said she needed to make the soup and went to the kitchen several times without bothering to do so. She needs to be re trained. I'm never going back. I hope no one spit in the soup. I wanted to contact the corporate office but they require a receipt number, and of course there isn't one on the receipt. Clever. read more

I went to the Chili's in Knightdale NC. Such a disappointment! We went during lunch and they were not busy (it was about 1:30 or 2) We sat at the table for 15 min before a waitress happened to notice us and ask"has anyone helped you yet?" Well nope! We had not had out order for drinks taken or nothing! 15 min is ridiculous! Well she brought the drinks and walked away. then another five min. passed and another person walked up and asked if we needed to order. Well duh! During the wait for our food there were customers waiting at the front to be seated for some time but there was nobody up there to seat them. A waitress even started to walk by them and pay them no mind and they said "do we have to seat our self or what?" Well after that another waitress (third one) came up ten min later and handed us silverware, and soon after she brought the food. Nobody ever came to our table AGAIN! Never had drinks refilled or asked if we needed anything! My husband had to get up and go to the bar to ask for mayo and then I had to get up and go to the station where the computer is for order input and take a to go container. After that we paid, left no tip at all. Let me just say that I come here A LOT! Not specifically this location but I eat at Chili's a lot. I was so disappointed and upset at how pathetic this service was that I am considering just go to Applebees next time which is right next door to Chili's. This location needs to step it up and the Manager needs to pay attention to what her employees are doing. read more

I placed a online order and everything was messed up. To start off I was missing a whole meal a whole steak. No utensils no dressing and a couple of sides missing. I call the restaurant back and the guy tells me "I put it in the bag" no you didn't I'm looking right at it. So then all I can do is have you drive back another 15 mins and get it. No sorry no nothing horrible. Wasn't even busy 4:15pm nobody doing pick up. Salad without dressing, triple dipper without sauce and I guess I'll eat with my fingers. Now having to drive back and pick it up you would think I would get a sorry a manager on the phone nope not at all. Last time I'll be doing pick up from here and it was $75 which is not a issue but with the service it is. Not to mention it was so sloppy and ill made and when I get there you guessed it my fault right you guessed it. Also I call ahead and tell them it's missing and they don't make it until I get there. I love chili's because of the food, but this chili's in knightdale sucks. On this day they had absolutely nothing we wanted to order. They had run out of steak for the fajitas, mashed potatoes, sirloin, and ribs. Everything we wanted to order they didn't have. They brought out the food 1 hour after waiting and changing our order several times because they never had what we order. We got 3 out of the 6 orders and it's been 15 minutes and we are still waiting! The brócoli came out chewy, and the chicken for the chicken sandwich came out super hard. The server was great and had no issues with her. I also spoke to the manager and he had no solution or anything to say. He couldn't even apologize for the food taking so long. The server did finally say the manager was going to come out and speak to us. And he finally did. He did take off the fajitas from the check for taking extremely long over 1 hour and half. I really like chili's and the food but I will not come back to this one. read more
