I know RL has its weak points but it's during Lobsterfest, it doesn't get much better. I love lobster bisque, and even the shrimp and lobster linguine was excellent. I think RL is trying hard to get over their corporate finance issues and deliver excellent food and service to customers. As an aside, I first visited this location on Old Wake Forest Rd back in the early 1980s when I first moved to Raleigh so I like reliving good memories here! Highly recommend!

Not yo' Granny's Red Lobster! We checked out Red Lobster for a late lunch on a Monday. My friend said she wanted a crispy fish sandwich. We walked right in and were greeted by friendly staff and immediately seated. Apparently it was after the lunch rush as there were just a few tables occupied. After a brief wait our waitress appeared...she was very attentive, pleasant and professional...but I can't remember her name. But Ms. Waitress was good. We both ordered our drinks and my friend wanted an Arnold Palmer. She was impressed because it was mixed to her liking. The crispy fish sandwiches were delicious too. Fresh bread and ingredients. The portion size was large and takeout containers were needed for both of us. Now I didn't forget those cheddar bay biscuits were warm and delicious. I ate two and brought some home for the next day! This was my first visit to Red Lobster in 5 years due to not so good experiences and my husband just doesn't like it. He's picky though! I'm adding Red Lobster back in the rotation now.

Usually with dinning out people aren't really attentive or they just don't care. Larry is an exceptional server. He made me feel welcomed and comfortable to eat here at red lobster. He made sure the food was right and drinks filled. Now for the food, it was absolutely good.we'll be back again. As long as we get Larry LOL. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the vibe of the dinning room was cozy and warm I like how dark it looked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came back even though we said we wouldn't and we're glad we did! Margot, our waitress, was OUTSTANDING!! Food was delicious but it was her service that will bring us back.

I gotta say that we don't go to chain restaurants very often, but when Husband desired to do a seafood fix here, who was I to argue? And let me say that it could not have been a better experience. If you haven't been here in awhile, I can attest to the fact that they have cleaned this place up, weird bad smell is gone, attitude is phenomenal, food quality up. Someone said, hey let's do a Robert Irving on this, and they did! Kudos especially to Server Larry. Best we have experienced in a long time. Can't say enough how well cared for we felt, not just from him, but the Manager who seemed to heartfully care of our appreciation. Now let's talk food. The menu is more high end overall, but in this day and time of high food costs, it's totally understandable. Love the options. Husband did an old favorite Admiral's Platter of fried goodness, along with a salad of blue cheese that made him super happy. Add in the cheesy biscuits and he was a happy Man. I loved my Seafarer's Platter of Lobster Tail, Grilled Scallops skewer, Fried Shrimp and Shrimp Scampi with my choice of baked potato and broccoli. YUM. Everything super quality and perfectly cooked. They've even upped the quality on condiments, imho. Tartar sauce has always been a fave of mine here, but now there's even a little dill added for extra yumminess. I ended up with two more meals out of mine, and it all was good even leftover. If you haven't been here in awhile, or at all, and you are craving seafood, I highly recommend this option. And if you're lucky enough to get Larry, well, I know he will make your day also. Kudos to all the hard working folks here! You have achieved turning this place around.

Clean environment, friendly staff from entrance to exit. Service was good. Had trainee and trainer working our table. Great brewed iced tea. Even unsweetened. Lobster bisque was a bit salty. Seafood stuffed mushrooms were small, not impressed with stuffing. Fried green beans with jalapeño dipping sauce was amazing. Coconut shrimp with pina colada dipping sauce was even better. Crispy Brussel Sprouts were tasty. Grandson enjoyed the kids chicken tenders, however, fries were subpar. Filet and shrimp, sirloin and shrimp were enjoyed by his patents. Cooked perfectly and steaks were surprisingly good for a seafood restaurant. Bacon macaroni and cheese side was also delicious. The cheddar biscuits were, as always, delicious. Hot, flavorful, crispy.

Some ladies and I from my church met here on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 1 pm for lunch. We arrived at an opportune time as there was hardly anyone at the restaurant. We didn't have to deal with any long lines, long wait, or a large crowd. We were seated quickly and our server met us promptly. Our server was friendly and professional. She took our orders right away and the food came out in a timely manner. We had a few dirty dishes that were set out with our appetizers and salads though. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Everything had a good flavor and for the most part the texture was good as well. The ladies and I had a comfortable and enjoyable time. We played a few short games and had a nice lunch. This is a great place for large groups meeting to celebrate or have a bonding session. The atmosphere is conducive for both.

I started with the lobster egg roll as my appetizer, and it was so delicious. The flavor of the egg roll was rich, and the sauce had a sweetness that paired nicely with the lobster. The crust crackled perfectly with each bite. For my main dish, I had the cheesesteak sub. The steak was incredibly savory, and the bread was grilled to perfection with a great crust. My friend ordered the pineapple chicken hibachi, and it was just as delicious. The homemade Aggie sauce was light with a wonderful balance of sweetness and tang. But when we walked in, four people were waiting at the counter with no staff in sight. We stood there for about four minutes until one of the customers told us that only one man runs the entire place. My wife suggested we leave, and honestly, it wasn't an easy decision since we were out of town and had already spent time researching where to eat. We decided to give it one more minute. A guy finally came out and seated our group of six. We even asked if he could manage serving us without getting overwhelmed, and he assured us it wouldn't be an issue. The restaurant is small--maybe room for 15-20 people--and most of their business seems to be takeout. People were constantly coming and going. We placed our order, and it took about 15-20 minutes. The biggest problem: they can only cook three meals at a time because their grill is small. That meant three of us got our food while the other three had to sit and wait. Not ideal. However, the food was excellent--rich flavor, great quality, and clearly the reason their takeout business is booming. Just a heads‑up: "fried rice" here means plain rice. No vegetables, no egg. Those cost extra. They included taxes when calculating for tips.

The NY Strip arrived more than well done, so we told the waitress and she apologized and sent it back to the kitchen. As I was eating the meatloaf, I noticed an off taste and texture. I looked closer and realized it was still pink/slimy/raw! How can meatloaf be raw? It's supposed to be fully cooked first and then grilled. Whoever sliced it from the "loaf" should have noticed it was not cooked before throwing it on the grill! We notified the manager when he came to apologize for the NY strip, so he took the meatloaf back to the kitchen. When the NY Strip came back out, my husband cut into it and it was shiny and purple inside, from top to bottom...absolutely rare. The waitress agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen again. When it came out for the third time, it was perfect (third time's a charm, I guess?). The only saving grace was the kind waitress who felt awful about the sub par food. The kitchen put her in an uncomfortable position, but she handled it with grace. We ordered the chocolate torte for dessert and it was very good, but that's the only thing I'd return for.
