We went to Red Lobster for dinner tonight. The food was delicious. My dinner was bigger than my husband's and I took a lot home, but he ate all of his dinner. I guess what he ordered had smaller portions. The manager was very nice to us when we told him this. He totally understood and was extremely helpful. Mya was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make our experience very pleasant. Hopefully the restaurant will address the portion sizes in the future, because the dinners are quite expensive. A big thanks to our wonderful waitress and a terrific manager! read more

I haven't been to a Red Lobster in years, but this was a pretty great visit overall. My server Cheyanne and the manager Rebbie were amazing and hilarious honestly. The restaurant was pretty empty, so I got to talk with them a good amount! They recommended the lobster dip and snow globe Sangria while I was trying to decide on my main course. The lobster dip was so so so good!! A pretty big portion of lobster and great flavor so I'd definitely get it again. The sangria was easy to drink, and looked super chic with the cranberries floating through the cup. I got the sesame salmon bowl for dinner. I somehow missed the part of the menu that said ginger was a part of this bowl, and I am allergic. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate my allergy before the food came out the kitchen. This has to be the worst restaurant that we have ever chosen to try here. Took them 15 mins just to seat us when there was only 6 tables in the whole place seated. Then after finally seating us we waited another 30 mins and never got a server to assist us when we overheard the nice couple across from us complaining about the biscuits being old and hard and the waitress not a bit concerned for them. We immediately got up to leave when their waitress came out and started a screaming match about how much she could care less if this couple left. I know RL has its weak points but it's during Lobsterfest, it doesn't get much better. I love lobster bisque, and even the shrimp and lobster linguine was excellent. I think RL is trying hard to get over their corporate finance issues and deliver excellent food and service to customers. As an aside, I first visited this location on Old Wake Forest Rd back in the early 1980s when I first moved to Raleigh so I like reliving good memories here! Highly recommend! read more

She said they had no available tables but if we wanted five could seat on one table and two at another table not adjacent. I informed her that the place was not crowded. Not yo' Granny's Red Lobster! We checked out Red Lobster for a late lunch on a Monday. My friend said she wanted a crispy fish sandwich. We walked right in and were greeted by friendly staff and immediately seated. Apparently it was after the lunch rush as there were just a few tables occupied. After a brief wait our waitress appeared...she was very attentive, pleasant and professional...but I can't remember her name. But Ms. Waitress was good. We both ordered our drinks and my friend wanted an Arnold Palmer. She was impressed because it was mixed to her liking. The crispy fish sandwiches were delicious too. Fresh bread and ingredients. The portion size was large and takeout containers were needed for both of us. Now I didn't forget those cheddar bay biscuits were warm and delicious. I ate two and brought some home for the next day! I gotta say that we don't go to chain restaurants very often, but when Husband desired to do a seafood fix here, who was I to argue? And let me say that it could not have been a better experience. The menu is more high end overall, but in this day and time of high food costs, it's totally understandable. Love the options. Husband did an old favorite Admiral's Platter of fried goodness, along with a salad of blue cheese that made him super happy. Add in the cheesy biscuits and he was a happy Man. I loved my Seafarer's Platter of Lobster Tail, Grilled Scallops skewer, Fried Shrimp and Shrimp Scampi with my choice of baked potato and broccoli. YUM. Everything super quality and perfectly cooked. They've even upped the quality on condiments, imho. Tartar sauce has always been a fave of mine here, but now there's even a little dill added for extra yumminess. I ended up with two more meals out of mine, and it all was good even leftover. If you haven't been here in awhile, or at all, and you are craving seafood, I highly recommend this option. Seafood stuffed mushrooms were small, not impressed with stuffing. Fried green beans with jalapeño dipping sauce was amazing. Coconut shrimp with pina colada dipping sauce was even better. Crispy Brussel Sprouts were tasty. Grandson enjoyed the kids chicken tenders, however, fries were subpar. Filet and shrimp, sirloin and shrimp were enjoyed by his patents. Some ladies and I from my church met here on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 1 pm for lunch. We arrived at an opportune time as there was hardly anyone at the restaurant. We didn't have to deal with any long lines, long wait, or a large crowd. We were seated quickly and our server met us promptly. Our server was friendly and professional. She took our orders right away and the food came out in a timely manner. We had a few dirty dishes that were set out with our appetizers and salads though. The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their dish. Everything had a good flavor and for the most part the texture was good as well. The ladies and I had a comfortable and enjoyable time. Last night on Valentines, after working an open to close shift at my server job, I hit a curb and busted my tire open. So I had to pull off into the Red Lobster parking lot. My brother came to change it, but when we pulled the spare out, it was flat. The KM, Issac, got off his own (probably long and tiresome shift working a holiday) shift and asked if we were okay and needed help. We said "if you have an air pump!" He pulled his truck around, got out & hooked it up. Now THAT is the definition of hospitality!!!! I truly appreciated it beyond words. I went to celebrate my birthday with my friends at Red lobster. I had not been there in a very long time but I had a great experience. They are currently serving there. All I can eat shrimp and so I was able to test multiple different foods for pretty low price. It also came with a side. As always. It came with those fluffy yummy biscuits which were hot and always full. It was pretty early in the morning but there were a few other people eating and it was a very nice environment. The food and service was great however I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant. The lady at the table behind us was talking extremely loud, cussing and having a conversation that is to be discussed behind closed doors only. I don't want to hear about your sex life or menstrual cycle. 3-4 waitresses engaging and carrying on with her as well as the manager. Two of her friends in and out of the restaurant, standing there as we try to eat. She was there for the almost 2 hours we were there (because they were so busy) and they still served her more alcohol before we left. I was told she had been there 3 hours and was good friends with the district manager. You would think she/he wouldn't want that kind of atmosphere in their restaurant. A Christmas with my family should have been peaceful and enjoyable and it was anything but that! My boyfriend and I decided to go to Red Lobster for dinner. We were waiting for over 15 minutes to get seated. We both made eye contact with at least 3-5 employees, and we never got seated. Another young lady came in not too long after us and left after waiting at least 10 minutes as well. One employee who was taking out a to-go order mentioned that someone would be with us shortly right before yelling "I don't have time for this tonight," as she stormed out the door. Let me just say that this location really has their sh!+ together. I've only visited twice, but both times the service has been absolutely impeccable. The waiter refills drinks well before you finish your first, and he even stuffed extra cheddar bay biscuits into our to-go bag. We both got the twin lobster deal that is going on for $39.99 a plate. For the price, it's was great. My brussel sprout had a hair in it so I returned it and got orzo rice instead. My family dined at Red Lobster for Thanksgiving. The service was very good, our waiter was very pleasant on to be working on the holiday! This was our first time not cooking. We made reservations and we were able to come right in and sit. I got my usual Cajun shrimp pasta and shrimp from the pick 3. We also had lobster, cheddar bay stuffing, mac n cheese w/bacon, and a chocolate martini holiday drink. The lobster was rubbery but I'm not a huge fan of lobster. The stuffing was good enough, as well as the Mac n cheese. The chocolate holiday martini was good! My shrimp pasta was great and also the burger was great! We were impressed with the menu and service on a holiday. The manager tonight was just absolutely phenomenal. I believe her name was Katie. She was just so attentive to not only the customers but to the staff. She made sure everyone was okay while still serving tables, directing her staff taking to go orders and managing the bar. We came as we have done to celebrate our son's birthday for the past four years, but left quite disappointed and will find a new restaurant next year to celebrate his birthday. My son ordered a salad, and it came with a bonus item not listed on the menu, a HAIR! Our waitress was very good but embarrassed by the discovery of the hair and told the Manager who came to the table. He offered our son another side item but was no longer interested in getting something else. The Manager said he would make good, but all he did was remove the charge of $1.99 from the check to avoid charging us for a salad with a hair. My wife had the perfectly cooked trout, it may have been perfectly cooked, but it was perfectly fishy tasting, and unable to eat very much of it. Our birthday boy ordered the fried calamari, which he's had before, but it was tough, and the crispiness was missing from the batter. The birthday boy got a complimentary cake with ice cream, which was very good, but too little too late to save this special occasion. Our daughter had the appetizer pizza, which also had a fishy smell with the seafood toppings, and for the price of $15.99 for about an 8" pizza, it was way overpriced and not good. In any case, we were surprised by the prices from our last visit, but apparently, this is expected given America's current economic conditions. I was super excited to come here with my friends after I heard about how Red Lobster has been revamping food and drinks. I brought with me 5 people who had never been before and after the experience we had this evening I don't think any of us will ever be coming back. We arrived at 7:30pm and waited about 15 minutes for a table, no problem. The host was the only one to interact with us for the first half of our dinner, she brought our waters and bar drinks. Half of us ordered drinks from the bar and the first round came out fairly quick and we got the cheddar biscuits in a timely manner as well. Again, about half an hour into dinner we still haven't met our server , the host took our drink and food orders , then about 15 minutes after our initial order the host comes back to inform us there out of BOTH seafood boils which two of my friends had ordered and the only reason they came in to eat we're out of stock. 8:30 rolls around , then 8:45 , over an hour since we ordered we're still waiting on food. During this time me and my friend ordered another round of drinks which we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for two margaritas. One of our friends got up to use the bathroom and said she saw our drinks just sitting at the bar waiting to be ran. Almost all our food came out at the same time except one person who ordered a salad and waited another 20 minutes after the rest of us to get their food. I ordered the cajun chicken alfredo and truthfully the sauce , which makes the whole dish, was disappointing. No flavor, it tasted like nothing, I tried to like it but a few bites in it didn't feel worth the money. Never in my entire life have I ever sent food back but tonight was a first for me. Mind you, me and my friend are still waiting on our drinks. I work at a restaurant and understand there are different factors that can affect the flow of service but the restaurant was basically empty. My friend ordered the Ultimate Feast and her crab legs were for lack of better words , puny. There was barely any meat inside the legs when the table right next to us ordered crab legs as well and they were huge! Food was average , the drinks were pretty good I will say but half the part of going out to dinner is the experience and it was lacking. Our server was nice and polite but after I POLITELY asked to speak with her manager because I didn't feel I should have to pay for a drink i waited 30+ minutes for her whole attitude changed. When the manager finally did come over , he never introduced himself by name, he also seemed like he did not give a single shit about being there or what he could to do to resolve the situation. I simply explained that while I did drink my drink I waited for , I personally didn't feel like i should have to pay for a drink I waited over half an hour for , which I don't think is a crazy thing to point out. The only thing this manager said to us was " What's going on over here?" and "I'll get that taken care of for you" walked away and applied a 10% off discount... All of us left extremely dissatisfied, I don't understand what's going on here but the food was subpar and the managers attitude sucked. Red Lobster used to be one of my very favorite restaurants, but last night was the very last time I will go to this location. The last several visits here have been disappointing to say the least. The waitress would not stay at our table for more than a few seconds as she passed by, and we could barely tell her what we needed before she was gone. We had to chase her down to ask for silverware while our food sat there getting cold. I had to wait quite a while when I ran out of cocktail sauce, again while my food sat there. One little container is not enough for a double order of popcorn shrimp. My fries tasted old, and the coleslaw is inedible. It used to be so good, but something has changed and it is terrible. This is one of the first places that I have gone and had a sit down meal since COVID. As most of us know, Red Lobster offers those yummy biscuits tht pretty much full you up before the meal even comes. Our waiter, Jackson, was awesome. Really great service, I felt like their health and safety protocol worked well and made me feel that eating there was safe. When we arrived one person got out to see if we were able to be seated or if we needed to wait. we had to wait in our car for a few minutes for a table since we were a group of 6. Once we sat down we were given paper menus, their menu options are limited, but still enough options to satisfy. Every other table is being used to assist with social distancing. We wanted to get a family meal deal for lunch today and started googling restaurant options. The first one that popped us was old faithful, Red Lobster! They've never let me down before so why not try the take out option. We ordered a deal with your choice of 3, and we selected coconut shrimp, fried whitefish and garlic shrimp scampi. For sides we picked mashed potatoes and french fries. A large order of cheddar bay biscuits were included, along dishes of ketchup, tartar sauce and signature pina colada sauce.
