Wow, I've never felt so welcomed at a restaurant the way we were today!! My friend and I met up for lunch as soon as they opened today and the General Manager, Carl greeted us with a big smile and was so funny and pleasant to deal with!!! He is an example of what true leadership in the customer industry should be like!!! Our waitress Arianna, was also very nice and helpful! We got the "Three for me" meal for $10.99 which is less than a meal at a Fast Food place... Even though we had leftovers, we ended up sharing a yummy desert at the end which was also on promotion too! Everybody was so nice and welcoming and Carl encouraged us to color the Chili's Chili they have going on which is a fundraiser for a great cause! There's plenty of free parking too! Haven't visited a Chili's in over a decade, but ended up at this location last evening, a Saturday. We were a party of 5 and were seated right away, service was fast and really friendly and attentive, the food was good and the prices were even better. Most people would agree that service, in general, has been going steadily downhill for years, so the friendliness of the staff was refreshing and MUCH appreciated! I arrived here at Chilis La Verne at 7:30, sat down in the bar area, and got passed by several times. Two other customers came in and sat down right now, and got served immediately. I mean, let's be real, it's Chili's and not a Michelin star restaurant, so given the circumstances, this location is A-OK. We've been here several times, especially when we make it a movie night and it's fine. When we're trying to catch a show, we let the server know right away and we've never missed a show. We typically stick to burgers and chili with fries, so it's pretty easy and our food is out pretty quickly. Service can be a little hit and miss, but when we sit at the bar it's pretty consistent. It's also a go-to spot when we're working late and too tired to cook. I usually call in our order and it's ready when I arrive, which makes it an easy choice. We've never had an issues with them messing up our order and prices are very reasonable, especially now-a-days. I also like the checkout process. They have everything ready to go on the little tablets at the table and it's easy to split up the check with everyone at the table. No, it's not the best restaurant in the area, but it's great for a quick burger or easy night out when you want to watch the game at the bar with a beer. Cheers! read more

Chicken Crispers have definitely changed and not for the better. Chicken was over cooked and dry. The french fries served on this tin plate are what got to me. This plate went pasted 2 sets of eyes; the cook and the server who brought it out. I'm a little offended..two other orders at my table received Fresh french fries with their order and I got last weeks left overs- that's exactly what these fries looked like! Why not do quality control before serving the obvious? I had to request a fresh batch. Our waitress wasn't the friendliest either:/ wait time to be seated was quick, our orders were brought out fairly quick too. After a long morning and early afternoon in West Los Angeles, my hubby and I were looking for something familiar and good. We decided on Chili's in LaVerne, CA. Been here many times without any real issues.. yesterday was an F N train wreck!!! My hubby and I walked in and stood by hostess podium for at least 10 minutes.. I wanted to sit in the bar area, husband did not. Hubby grabbed 2 menus and we were about to self sit when one waitress and the hostess walked up to greet us. We sat in bar area in a small booth. Waitress ignored us.... We ordered the 3 for $10.99 hubby got the QP and I got the Smashburger..... he, a Modelo, I had a margarita... soup n salad later.. my soup looked weird, kinda smelled weird... I took a small taste with tip of tongue... soup was lukewarm, didn't burn my tongue, but it numbed the tip!!?? WTH!!! Drinks came about 5 mins later...then food about 2-5 minutes later... waitress was lively with every table except for ours.... Took a couple of bites of burger.. tasted good. Hubby enjoyed his QP... polished it off. I couldn't finish mine... tongue felt too weird.... Waitress continue to ignore us... took us 30 minutes to pay and leave... she gave us a receipt and insisted on a card.... I said cash. She put receipt down and walked away.... Receipt had items we didn't order.. add ons were done incorrectly .. total was $46 and change.... 15 mins later she tries to collect $$... hubby showed her receipt, she immediately went on her tablet and corrected it.. then had us check out on tabletop ‍.. price was $34.24.... Everything just felt off.... Today, I am sick!! Vomiting upset tummyHeadache Saved samples and taking them to ER... I certainly won't be back!!! I enjoy coming here on the weekends! It's always nice and crowded with a good atmosphere. The wait staff are really on it here. They really try and get you seated. I had, for the first time, the veggie burger. I never knew that you can order the veggies burger any way you want. I got mine as a double w cheese and it hit home! It was actually really good! We came here for dinner right after a movie at Regal Theaters. Our server was friendly, the food was decent, and the drinks were enjoyable. This place received three stars due to the fact the service was so slow, some of the food came out cold and an order was wrong. It could just be that they were too busy training people that the service wasn't the best. The quesadilla salad was great! It is really big and looks appetizing! I asked for the dressing on the side due to it being so big. Overall they have really good deals like the 2 for 20 or the 3 for 10. Relativity means different things to different people. To Monsieur Einstein, it meant that light, and perhaps time, could bend. To some, it means an 18 year old college student working part-time did not whistle Dixie while serving you an A5 burger in 3 seconds for only $1.99. This is a Chili's... And as far as Chili's and like chains go, this one is 5-Star all the way. The dining room is super spacious, cavernous even, TVs everywhere, and there is plenty of room for a large family or groups of families, for that matter. The service is efficient, attentive and friendly. Our server and her trainee did a fine job of checking up on us and keeping our water and other beverages filled. The food was ready pretty quickly, too. The food is delicious and definitely a loss leader for those of us who like a tall, frothy beverage with our chips and salsa and smashed burger. It's all good, and it's win-win... The stomach, wallet, and family will all be happy. If you keep your expectations on planet Earth, relatively speaking, you will not be disappointed. read more
