Went on a Friday night around 9p. This place was clean! From the bathrooms, the dining floors, even the cups were clear. The building has been there for years but it didn't have a old smell- I was very surprised. In addition our server, Kai (spelling may be wrong) was the best! Our food and drinks were good as well. We ordered Mix & Match Trio and the 1/2 Slab of ribs. What a disappointment. The steak on the mix-and-match trio also known as a fajita was terrible. The ribs were dry and extremely over cooked. The asparagus tips were flaky and almost dehydrated. however the mashed potatoes were delicious. I sent the asparagus back to the kitchen over the second order was just as bad. The bar was full with people drinking and enjoying appetizers. We should've followed their lead because our drinks were the highlight of our meal We had a bad experience with Chili's in Columbus, Ohio and thought it might be just that location but now we're seeing that it's across the board. You need to be aware every Chill's location is different and that can sometimes be a problem. Management has to be on top of their game or the workers will be Willy-nilly. I discovered this at the Gallatin location when the waitress gave me another table's check. It was brought to my attention until after I had paid on the table charge machine at each table. Management politely explained the error and said my payment was for a lesser amount that the other table charged but she wasn't going to make me pay my full charge of my table because of the "screw/up. We were here at Chili's on Gallatin today. (Tuesday). There was no wait, staff was friendly. We ordered a old Timer burger and fry's. The burger was hot and it had a beautiful tomato and onion on it. ( usually I can't find the tomato and onion). The fry's were straight out of the fryer and the seasoning on them was excellent. It smelled delicious and it was. We also ordered the new special it had ribs, quesadilla, corn, garlic bread and fry's. It was also hoot and delicious. Amelia was our server she made the rest of the experience perfect. She checked on us several times, kept our drinks full. We could not find one thing that made our visit unacceptable. We will definitely be back next time we come thru this area. WARNING Extremely low quality for price. I ordered a the shrimp salad for over $15 and they made sure to only give enough lettuce to line the bottom of the container. Absolutely ridiculous. Ambience: It's chilis, nothing more nothing less. Actually a bit less than other chili restaurants around the city. Food: Expecting something tasty and good. Looks are deceiving. Everything was on a scale of not good to pretty average and basic. We got this appetizer combo which came with popcorn sized chicken with bacon, shredded cheese and jalapeños. Also got chicken fajitas. It was ok. Not the best. It actually looked better than it tasted. Summary: Meh. If my meal was free, I would still not consider eating here. I don't understand why you don't hire more help. If you have to pay a higher salary you should do what you need to your business would multiple four times which would make you more money. You have good food and you have the customers coming in but making folks wait 20-30 minutes with 21 tables open doesn't make good business sense. This business will not be here long at this rate. We had just gotten done getting my friends wedding dress and our bridesmaids dresses at David's bridal and were starving! The bride wanted chili's, so naturally we went to chili's. It was raining and the parking lot was full, great. Once we walked in, the waiting area was full, but there were empty tables EVERYWHERE. we put our name down and they told us it'd be 30-45 minute wait. What in the world?! I assume they were short staffed, I Mean, I used to run a restaurant I know what to look for. So I go to the bathroom while we wait.... on my way there more empty tables, multiple dirty tables, floors are nasty, but no one is in a real hurry. And by no one, I mean, employees. I see zero sense of urgency. I get inside bathroom and gross. The bathrooms are disgusting. The stall I went into didn't even have a toilet paper dispenser. There's literally a roll of toilet paper on the handicap rail. This place is a joke We get sat. Table isn't wiped down well. Server comes to greet us a little while later. He seems busy, but nice. I mean, the poor guy is sweating. He told us upfront that the kitchen was backed up. I appreciate that, it's good to know ahead of time. We order drinks and appetizer for the table. He gets our drinks and extra napkins and brings us chips and salsa. He must've overheard me say I was going to get the 3 for $10 with chips and salsa. That was nice of him. We order or meals and honestly expect a long wait time on food, but we're prepared for that. We get our appetizer and the soups we had. Soup was warm to hot and the egg rolls were not that hot. So a little disappointed there. If I'm going to wait a long time for my food I expect it to be hot. Our server didn't come back until our food was delivered. I'm sure he was embarrassed on the wait time. I get it. Food came out good and hot. I'm really disappointed with this location. I suggest either GM or DM take an unexpected stop at this location that's in their district. It needs some serious attention. I never once saw a manager. I have been avoiding the Rivergate Chili's for a very long time because of the service that I had received and then going to a different one. I came in tonight sat at the bar and had Jamie waiting on me and did the two-for-one drinks with Swiss amazing she did a wonderful job they were not watered down because they were two for one. I have been to numerous Chili's and always had good service and met with friendly staff. This place was the first exception. First, while normally I would not make a big deal about it, after convincing my friends who were with my fiance and me to try the nachos, they did not listen and brought him an order with jalapenos, when he specifically asked for no jalapenos. While they did take it back and fix it, they should have offered a way to make it up to him, even if they got my order for nachos (which I ordered for my meal) mixed up with his. Then another friend of hours shows up to join us about 40 minutes after we got there, and we can't fit everyone at the table. So they let us move to a larger table which is fine. However, to me it seemed like they were trying to hard to pressure him into getting more than just a drink. That being said, when he orders an IBC root beer, they only bring him the bottle and no glass to pour it in. I would hope they don't serve beer that way, as be it beer or root beer it should be served with/in an ice cold glass, period. Overall the staff also seemed a little full of themselves and somewhat rude. Chili's corporate needs to come and retrain this location. read more

Been eating here more than usual since they started the promo with the free chips and salsa after downloading the app. The food is very good and they send several different promos each week so I can try something different each time. Look forward to the next email so I can go there again. I went to Chilis with a friend for dinner last night. We ordered drinks and the waitress clearly had no knowledge of the menu. My friend requested a Margarita on the rocks and I asked for a frozen raspberry margarita. The waitress stated they didn't have it, but they had strawberry. I've been there many times and enjoyed one but I said ok. I was brought a strawberry daiquiri instead. The waitress began telling me that was what I ordered. I repeated what she said about not having what I originally ordered. She then grabbed the drink rolled her eyes and left the table. Usually I would have said something but I let it go. After 15 additional minutes I asked about my drink. The waitress "Elizabeth" snapped she was waiting for the bartender to make. It was 10:00pm and there was no more than four tables in the whole building. I just asked her to cancel the drink. When the food arrived I asked for a to go box as I no longer wanted to sit and have my dinner there. She then sent the manager to the table, which really angered me as I was not the person who made all the mistakes and I hadn't said anything to her about how terrible her service was. But she sent him as if I was being difficult. The experience was made worse when I discussed her actions with the manager. I was told was she did was alright and that everyone makes mistakes. I responded it was NOT alright and that I was paying him not the other way around and that he would not take my money and then tell me how I am going to be treated in his establishment. He then tried to offer the meal free which I refused as I didn't want it said I was looking for free food. I have been dining at this establishment since 1999, but I will never go back and will tell all my friends about this experience. My rating is a minus 0 read more

Def 1.5 experience. I ordered food to go and the food itself was okay, it was cold when it was handed to me and ice cold by the time I got home. I had to reheat everything. Then I didn't get sauce for the onion petals. They gave me wayyy too much ranch and honey mustard but nothing for the petals - even after I asked. Also the queso was like half way filled of lukewarm queso and I got maybe 10 onion petals. The lady who also took my order via phone was rude and not helpful. Just super disappointed.
