I have been coming to this chilis for years. I don't know if they got a new manger or what, but the manger Gabe is horrible. He denied people service at 9:00 when they don't close until 10:00 there were multiple people in the restaurant and by 9:20 the doors were locked and all tv were turned off. When it came to our desert he told us the lava cake wasn't available and said we could pick between a cookie or a cheesecake. We picked the cookie and within a minute he was out with the cold hard cookie that had probably been sitting in the back, we know he just didn't want to spend extra time making a lava cake, and this was at 9:30! Hard to find if you don't know the area ,they have a great friendly staff was very accommodating to my last min Request. My wife had a class with 6 other from her work ,and they only had 45 minutes lunch and they were able to get everything we ordered on the table and less than 10 minutes cooked to perfection. With the new well I guess it's not that new but the pay service that you can do right at your table makes it extremely convenient Chili's has it right with mixing technology and great service I'll definitely be coming back to this location. read more

I took my mom there for lunch. This is my 4-5th time at this Chili's as its close to her house. The last 3 times the service has been awful. Im not sure what going on but today was probably the worst. They even bought out my chips and salsa when we were almost done with our lunch. First off, I'm from out of town and I DID NOT choose to go here. Second, I wouldn't EVER go here on my own volition. Third, I didn't have a bad experience here. I was in town for a friend of my BFs wedding and while the boys were out for the the bachelor business the ladies went over to Chili's for a few drinks the night before the rehearsal brunch- that's right: BRUNCH. Meaning we have to be up early for brunch and earlier for the rehearsal so nothing too crazy, at least not tonight, or yet. I didn't eat anything so take this for what it's worth. Just a drinking experience for me this go 'round, but they had 23 oz mugs of Stone IPA for $5. So, that was nice. The bartender was v. young looking but maybe it's just the California living that keeps ya youthful. At closing time we asked around for late night options in the area and the servers and bartenders were all super friendly and gave us all our options along with warnings about what to expect at certain bars, ahem- Corner Pocket. If I lived in the area i might be able to look past the part about it being a chain and see through to the shining $5 23 oz Stone IPA mugs every once in a while. read more

Not sure what is happening with these reviews but I have a feeling several of them may be fake and just being used to create problems, especially since the account that goes by the name Helen R. went by the name Vera just yesterday. I am also wary of the most recent update from Jack T. because more than anything, he seems to be most upset about something that has to do with his daughter rather than reviewing the restaurant, going as far as accusing managers of having affairs with employees. I think maybe she verbally gave her two weeks' notice and tried to rescind it later? Not all types of business require written notice. It sounds like she may not be giving you the whole story, it's ok though, we all live and learn, right? Anyway, on to my review. I had never been to this location before tonight. I had an event to attend in the area and wanted a familiar chain to have a snack and a couple of drinks afterward. I looked at reviews last night (hence the reason I noticed the name change) and after deciding that the majority of them were fake, I decided to give this place a chance. When we first came in, I instantly thought I'd made a mistake! They were so busy! My sister really wanted to stay though, so we put our names on the list and were quoted an hour but surprisingly we only waited about 35 mins until they called our name! We were seated in the bar area and when our server Shannon came over I definitely knew it was worth it to have waited. I can't speak about this Heather girl everyone is talking about, but Shannon was absolutely amazing! Even while being completely swamped, she was all smiles and super sweet and accommodating. I would come back just to have her as my server! Ultimately, this was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a while so I just had to review it (which I really never do)! Even through all the chaos, the hostesses were nice and organized, the servers (that we could see at least) kept their cool, the bartender looked especially busy but we never waited long for drinks, and the manager was constantly visible, helping all of them! I know a lot of restaurants have been taking a big hit lately, but this Chili's location is how it's done! Oh, and our Presedente Margarita's were on special for Chili's birthday! This is the most dreaded review I've ever had to write. This chili's is great usually, I live down the street so I come here every once in a while. The service was great last night, our waitress was awesome. The food was delicious. But there was just 1 problem. We were out on a double date with our best friends when we came here. We we were seated promptly and well taken care of. Our waitress was great, she made sure we had plenty of drinks and chips. We ordered the panko onion rings to start out and chips and guacamole. Both delicious. For our appetizer I got the bacon burger and everyone else got Chipotle honey wings. It was delicious. For dessert we had lava cakes which were awesome. You may be asking what the problem is... Well, I ended up with food poisoning and have been up all night and I'm still sick. I don't know what caused it or if anyone else in our party has it, I hope not. But it is the only thing that keeps me from giving it a 5 because I don't want anyone else to get sick. We came to the Murrieta Chili's last night to eat dinner for my niece's 14th birthday. I usually would rather eat anywhere than most chains, but it was her birthday & what she wanted. Last night's visit was one of a kind. I have never in my life experienced a ruder server than I did last night with Heather. We were a group of 13 with a few kids included in that. We were seated by the hostess and then Heather came over to greet us and take our drink order. We ordered 2 lemon-aids for our kids (ages 6 & 8). When Heather brought our kids drinks, they were in adult cups. I asked her why they weren't in kids cups and her reply was "Big kids usually drink the small cups pretty fast, and I don't have time for all those refills" This alone shocked me, but trying to be understanding we went with it. We then waited an hour for our food. I know this happens with bigger parties as I had been a server for many years. But, when our food finally came my boyfriends Smothered chicken burrito came out ice cold. It had obviously been sitting a long time. We let Heather know it was cold, and she offered to warm it up in the microwave. This is not okay. When Heather came back to the table she offered a new burrito, but as togo I told her we would like a warm one for here. We didn't go out to eat to have a microwave burrito or warm food packed in a togo box. We tried to flag the manager down but she was running around like a chicken with her hear cut off, never making eye contact with any customers and never came to our table. We paid & left. Very rarely have I come across a restaurant deserving of one star, but tonight was horrible. My wife and I just got back from this place. Place was half filled and food all over the floor. I know it was close to closing, but thats still not an excuse. When we were seated it was about 10 min before someone even acknowledged our existence. A waiter from another section came by to take our drink order and told us that our server would be by soon. Another 10 min went buy before that happened. We ordered and didn't see our waitress again until our food was brought out. We ordered the pretzel stick appetizer. I know that it is becoming standard practice for these types of chains to have frozen appetizers, but its getting a little out of hand. The pretzels and cheese were acceptable, just shy of ok, and far from good. I ordered a bacon ranch quesadilla. I would have been better off at taco bell it probably would have been less greasy. The quesadilla itself was void of any sort of flavor. The only thing that had flavor was the pepper ranch and it was still weak. My wife's fajitas were undercooked and almost cold when they came to the table. Our waitress was absolutely horrible. I can take bad food or poor service, but not both. we weren't given any napkins or place settings when our appetizers were brought out. When we requested them, they were thrown at us as the waitress hurried past our table. When our entrees came, they too were thrown at us. When the waitress brought refill for our drink, she put enough force into it, so that the one drink slid halfway across the table to collide with the previous one. I will not be back. read more

Be careful of the table top payment machines! I was delivered the wrong order, which was corrected. I indicated a 20% tip on the machine. When I got home and looked at the detailed email receipt, I found that they charged for both sandwiches and then took one off, but the tip covered BOTH sandwiches, one of which I didn't even get. I will never use a percentage again instead of the amount I want. My other complaint is that there a sign on the door stating masks are required, yet our waitress and other staff had no mask. But today went in and the host was by far rude and not welcoming we waited 30mins for our table we get seated in the bar at a booth its dinner rush the bar area is crowded the bartender is slammed. About 20mins go by we realize he is also our waiter so our food order or refills were not happening which is not his fault the manager should not have a bartender doing tables as well as bar during a rush. We go to this Chili's about once a month and it's really hit or miss as far as service. Tonight our server Rachel was amazing. Our food was FAST and she always seemed to be right there whenever we needed anything. We went in because they had a $35 deal this weekend. You got an appetizer, two meals, two presidente margaritas and a dessert. We had the bottomless chips and salsa, the chicken fajitas and the toffee brownie sundae. The fajitas are good here. They're by no means authentic Mexican restaurant fajitas but the chicken is moist and flavorful. Our margaritas were yummy and we brought our dessert home. So I call and talk to them and they say the same thing we can not give you a refund on something you paid for already. What the F***... I usually love coming to Chili's however this was probably the worst experience I have ever had. We walked in to the restaurant and nobody was working in the front so we ended up seating ourselves at the bar area. We then waited for a waiter to help us for about 15 minutes before getting our drinks ordered. As well as waiting about 20 min in between someone actually helping us our entire visit. I would have understood more if it was busy but there was nobody in there and there were 4 workers in our area. Not only that but I never got a refill on my drink we asked for chips and never got them and were ignored multiple times by workers. They only seemed to care about those ordering drinks or there regulars. This kinda sucks because I love Chili's but I just felt annoyed and angry when I left. The manager is a total idiot. She took a party of 13 and then a party of 9 right after, quoting them both 45 minutes. She was under staffed in The kitchen and there was no open seating in the bar. The hostess eventually started quoting parties of five 2 hours, turning away several customers. When I questioned the manager as to why she accepted such a large party she said she doesn't turn anyone away because that would be discrimination. Sadly I'm giving it 3 stars because some of there cooks don't understand that buffalo wings need buffalo sauce on it or it would just be chicken. Christian was out server and was one of the best we've had at a restaurant. He was attentive and quick, great energy and made sure we were well taken care of. The only problem with the visit was the stupid machine that you pay on lol. I couldn't type on it to do the survey because some of the keys couldn't be used on the touch screen. Chili's has recently become a favorite place for a family dinner out. Our family of 4 can get a great meal for under $50- with drinks and appetizers- thanks to their 2/$22 and 3/$10 menus. Both menus offer a variety of choices, so there's something for everyone. The "special" portions are smaller than the standard menu portions, but we always leave satisfied (sometimes with a little leftover to take home). But the best part is that the food is really good. Salads are fresh and crisp, the top sirloin is tender and always cooked as ordered, onion rings are super crunchy and served with a ranch dressing that is fantastic and their ribs never disappoint. We usually go on Saturday nights so there can be a bit of a wait for a table. However, we prefer to sit in the bar where we get the best service in town from Cody. He's super friendly and attentive.
