Good food. Usually good service. When dining in the only problems we've had has been slow service on days that weren't even busy. I don't recommend the to go service, though. On one occasion my order included a burger, fries and a salad. I got no fries and no salad dressing. I did receive a butt ton of ketchup though. read more

This place would fail in almost every area if there was a health inspection right now. Waiter is picking his teeth over in the corner... He's done this at least three times - once while talking another table's order. There's pasta sauce or something smeared in between the menu pages. None of the tables are even being wiped down. A few groups of people have been waiting for someone to come hastily wipe down an area to sit before they could be seated. Having said all that it seems like the guacamole was freshly made maybe, so they have that going for them, which is nice. read more

I've been to many chills around the country, but for whatever the reason this one seems to be a bit lacking in many areas. This is one of those places I'll never pick on my own and usually go because someone has chosen this place without my input. Food always seems to have an issue, servers are slow to fill or offer another drink. The times I've come here , it certainly isn't hurting for business, people are waiting at the door. I'm not sure why, but something is bringing them back. Maybe it's the cheap all day margaritas they offer or it's the 2 entrees and an appetizer specials they offer for 20 bucks. One good point -- I do like their tortilla chips and dip. The chips are very light and always seem crunchy. read more

First off, my husband and I love Chili's and last time we were there, we experienced their amazing guacamole, jalapeno burger.. seriously, this beast of of burger is over the top delicious. On this occasion we stopped in at this particular location, after flying to the Charleston Airport, before driving back home to Bluffton. We we're just going to split the burger, so not to stuff ourselves, before having to sit in the car for a long drive.. well, unfortunately the kitchen was having an issue with the grill and the burger came out wrong, and then again ..and a third time...yep 3 times. BUT the waitress and the manager were super amazing about it and compensated us (way more than necessary). We will definitely be back to this location. We have been to many Chili's and it's a running joke that they have less than great service (but the amazing food keeps us coming back).. This is a good chili's I ordered the chicken, ranch, bacon, avocado club. I thought the chicken was good. The only thing that was different was the bread itself. It seemed kinda hard like it was over microwaved. I also had a bowl of some creamy cheesy potatoe soup with bacon bits. The soup was good but I had to request some crackers to go with it since it wasnt too flavorful I later took the soup home and put some black beans in it and it tasted better.I would come back here although not to order that chicken ranch, bacon avocado club or soup but to order my usual baby back ribs or cheese fry's since that's my favorites. read more

We went to this location for a quick bite to eat before the Alan Jackson concert next door. Amazing service, outstanding food, highly recommend picking out a salad from the greens with envy selection, I was very impressed with the freshness. The only reason why I cannot justify a 5 star rating is the fact that there was a strange man at the bar repeatedly taking off his shirt. I'm not sure if he was lost or confused, but every time he took off his shirt there was a wafting smell that reminded my family of popcorn, baby diapers, grease, and nacho cheese. Our server was very friendly and attentive, we were seated right away at dinnertime. Our food was delicious and served in a timely manner. My husband and I shared the dinner for two. I got the Cajun chicken pasta and he got the chicken crisps. Our appetizer was a half order of Texas cheese fries. We both ended up taking about half of our entrees home because we were so full! AMAZING SERVICE! Seriously one of the best I have ever had! I wish I knew his name but I know he was from Indiana originally! He was so helpful and welcoming to me and my friends who were visiting from out of state. He chatted with us and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the whole meal. Came for lunch a couple of days while on business trip and while the food was good and the people were nice the service was too slow to recommend during the day when we have to be back at work. There is something dull and mediocre about places like Chili's and this location holds true. Whether OCharlies or Applebees or TGI Friday, IHOP, or even Cracker Barrel, there is just a plodding sameness to it all. The extended fam met for a mid week dinner out, and while the company was lively and it was fun to catch up on things, the food was just kind of there. Three of us got the chipotle chicken and waffles, which fot three different reviews. The granny bearcsaid the waffle was good but the chicken too hot, while the mommy bear said both were right tasty, and the baby bear bear said the corn was the best part of the plate. For myself, the country fired steak was over cooked so as to be brittle-crusted, the mashed potatoes generally tasteless and the gravy far too salt. For me, then, too, the corn was the best of the offering. Grandpa bear didn't each much of the enchilada, citing it just wasn't what he liked in an enchilada. Uncle bear was content with his steak, potatoes and broccoli but it didn't seem like he would remember tomorrow what he ordered. I suppose these chain places go for the middle of the road, where families can sit and everybody can get something that is acceptably just good enough. On the upside, not much of a wait to be seated, service was fast and pleasant, the checks were accurate and our glasses stayed full. Next time I vote Five Guys or Sesames. At least then I get a "Wow" moment from the food. read more

Well I can think of so many reasons to recommend Chili's! It's easy for me because it's my favorite restaurant!! The food is AWESOME! There are so many things to choose from and no matter what you order you will be impressed and you don't have pay a lot for the great meal! Every Chili's we go to we are so pleased with the great customer service but the North Charleston location is definitely our favorite! They are always treat us like we are family! All in all Chili's is just a great place if you want great customer service, fast fresh food that always gets to your table perfect and outstanding desserts and drinks that are awesome for date night or just a day or night out with the family or a friend! After a long day of shopping at the nearby outlet mall, our party of three was hungry and couldn't decide on what we wanted so I recommended Chili's since I remembered their menu had lots of choices that may satisfy everyone. I truly regret the recommendation. First we ordered need nachos. This wasn't the mound of chips heaping with topping that you would expect for $10. It was about a dozen chips circling a mound of lettuce, sour cream and chopped tomatoes. The chips seemed to have seasoning on them melted cheese and a small piece of barely detectable steak. Two of our entrees came with the rice and it was disgusting. I do not know what flavor it was supposed to be. Black beans were good. Salmon was decent but very basic. Burger was okay. The fajitas were a huge disappointment. Primarily bell peppers and onions. The small amount of steak was okay but had an odd flavor and the meat was tough. The shrimp part of the fajitas was very small, tasteless frozen shrimp. I left half of it behind. Restaurant feels dirty and is very loud. Aisles are narrow so it is hard to navigate to the rear of the dining area where we were seated because servers had trays blocking the aisle trying to deliver food. Our server was the only positive about our experience. She was nice and accommodating although she didn't really check on us much she managed to time it perfectly to keep our drinks full. The beverages were the best part of our meal. Hate to say we spent almost $88 for a party of three to say the strawberry lemonade and sweet tea were the best part of the meal! I ate at chili's tonight and I am actually a big fan of chilis. I was really disappointed. This visit started out really good at first. The hostess was really friendly and inviting. We were sat in a timely manner and greeted by the server. (now I would like to say I used to serve so I know the struggle) We ordered our food and it came in average time. As I was cutting up my chicken in the chipotle bowl I found some hair. So Before eating a bite I was already turned off. I sat it on the edge of the table and asked nicely for a new one. She was very apologetic and said they would make it. meanwhile my boyfriend must eat his food now because it will get cold so I sat and watched him eat. I don't believe she put a rush on it because it came out in another 10 minutes. My bf was done eating and I am just starting. He then sat and watched me eat. Our movie plans were delayed because of this as well. A manager never visited our table and she never offered anything for our inconvenience. I do not recommend this location because never in my life would I think you could send a dish back that had a very obvious problem and a manager not visit the table. I tipped but it is because I used to be a server and part of me believes I may have tipped too much. (a small part if me remembers the struggle) I do NOT recommend. This is not our first time in Chili's. I've tried Chili's in almost every state there is one. I've been to this location many times and it is what you expect from a decent Chili's. Server was polite and the food came out fast. We got the chips and salsa, some chips had so much salt we had to scrap off but other than that it was fine. I ordered the chicken quesadilla [it was not as big as I remember] and hubby got the steak. Both were good. We both got the Mango ice tea which I love. The other night we were there, I got the Chocolate lava cake and that was YUMMY as usual. No complaints here. Will go back again. read more

We decided on Chili's for our date night tonight. We hardly ever get a date night so we were looking forward to having a nice night since my mom was in town watching our little one. Our server KAT did not disappoint. She was super friendly and our food was good. She spent time talking with us and I appreciate that. I worked in F&B for over 10 years and it seems to me that lately the friendly customer service part is lacking at places. I normally nick pick a server since I spent so much time in the industry, but this server Kat restored my faith in servers. She was perfect. I had the worst experience at this Chili's location. My daughter had a soccer tournament in Charleston. The hotel recommended we make team dinner reservations at Chili's. I called two weeks in advance and was assured by the manager that we had reservations. I checked again a week before and again the day before. When the entire team and their families (30 people in all) arrived, we were told that we didn't have reservations. The manager made no attempt to accommodate us, nor was he even apologetic. He told me he never promised me a reservation. Not only was I disgusted, but I was also very embarrassed. It ruined what was supposed to be a fun night for everyone. read more

In the 15 mins we were in the restaurant and seated, our waitress: took care of one tables bill and returned it to them, took the drink order of the table behind us(who got there after us), returned with their drinks, took their dinner order, and bussed the other table...all without so much as saying hello to us. Obviously we left at that point. Considering there were only 3 tables in the section with anyone at them, and they weren't busy, this is unacceptable. I used to go to the Chilis in MT.Pleasant, but since they are closed, going to N.Charleston just to eat, sometimes is out of my schedule. This was my first time back in Chilis after maybe 2yrs. One of my favorite dishes changed for the worst. Chicken crispers used to be really DELICIOUS one time but now the recipe has changed, they are soggy & tasteless. Nothing "crispy" about the "crispers". I also ordered chicken margarita & the chicken meat was tasteless. There was no taste in anything, just a big disappointment on the food. The restaurant is very small, compared to the other ones I've been to. There's not much room to move around & tables are too closed to each other. I don't smoke & the smell of cigarretts gets to me, so I didn't like the idea that to use the restroom you have to pass by the bar. Which was also crowed & had to squeezed myself behind the chairs with the unpleasant smell of smoke. Not sure if I will give them another chance. read more
