My co-workers love coming here for reasons that I can't quite understand. I mean, it's not like there's a lack of dining options in Ormond Beach. Chili's is pretty mediocre anyway, but combine that with lots of college students working who don't really care that much about details and it gets kinda messy. Start with the messy table that they made us wait for while they set it up. They got the chairs right, but they didn't wipe down one of the tables and there were still crayons from the last guest (unless they started giving them out to everyone, regardless of whether or not they plan to color on the menu). Drinks are two-for-one for most of the evening and instead of serving them as needed, they just bring two out to the table. Sounds like a lovely idea until you start on margarita #2 and it's watered down and creates a puddle on the table. According to their ads, Chili's is known for its ribs. Unfortunately they're pretty awful. I tried two different kinds and both were bad cuts of meat and I had more of the dry rub in my teeth than in my stomach. We love Chili's and thought that stopping here on our way to Tampa would be a predictably great meal. Instead, we opted to sit in the bar area and order. Henry, the waiter in there was so rude and the manager was so indifferent to it and said Henry has been here 27 years. Henry looked like he was 25. Never going back. read more

First of all the service was slow....I mean MAJOR slow. They weren't that busy either. A coworker and I stopped in for lunch and walked in. The hostess was seating someone and then looked up at us and said she'd be there in a moment. Then she started wiping down tables. A few moments later a waitress then said "she'll be right with you" and we still waited. Finally the same waitress came and sat us in her area. The hostess never did come back. We ordered soft drinks and when they arrived my coworker had some kind of blue salt looking stuff around part of the rim of her glass. Since this was a Sprite, I didn't think salt rimmed glasses were going to be part of the deal. She asked for another glass and when the waitress brought that one there was something that looked like a piece of black plastic on the very top of it. Now if this was a Coke you would never see it. But it's a Sprite and now it's staring her in the face when she looks at it. So once again, she asks for another glass. The last time the waitress brings it in a large to go cup so she can inspect it first. When the food came it was good. She ordered a salad and I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. Overall, the food was good. There are no complaints with it but I'm not so sure about this restaurant. When I'm back in the area, I will probably look for something else first. read more

Super Clean! Nice Chili's and the server was cery pleasant. Super close to interstate which is a bonus when traveling.

It seems as Chilis has tried to go with a more upscale (relative) feel, the overall experience has gone down. I used to go here all the time. Still, this outing had to be the worst by far. I stopped in probably 8ish and it was not busy at all. We were seated at this half booth half chair table as if it were the only option available. And then a couple came in right after us and they sat them in a booth right next to us. Service was way too slow for the amount of customers. And our server actually went to the previously mentioned couple prior to us. The tabletop kiosk wasn't working so we couldn't even bypass the server to speed things up. I ended up getting the worst turkey club sandwich ever. I specifically said California Club, but the server was confusing the situation by referring to their turkey sandwich as if it were a club sandwich and asking which one I wanted. Once that was settled I thought smooth sailing until I actually got it. Evidently the cook didn't know how to make it correctly (she claimed he was new) and brought out an untoasted sandwich that was falling apart. She then explained the sandwich differences again saying the Cali Club is supposed to be warm and the "other" club is cold, and offered to have it sent back if I wanted it made warm. But the wait had been so long and I was starving, I didn't bother. read more

Average nothing to Brag about. The food quality is not even acceptable ( fried items taste really bad due not changing the cooking oil). The service was ok at best. I will not go back again. This restaurant has a lot of areas to improve. I hope that the management team reads the reviews. read more

Disappointing food experience, ordered the chicken enchilada dinner (not the same in the past), warm temp & cheese sauce was terrible, wife was delivered incorrect burger, immediately replaced but French Fries were cold. The server was friendly, fast and efficient. She suggested I fill out survey to make my suggestions. No management visit at table. As we departed the restaurant no salutation with a thank you, please comeback or have a nice evening. I have patronized Chili's since 1980 (Houston,TX and I may never in the future. Went here yesterday with my family. Service was exceptionally SLOW. Took 45 minutes to get our food. They were not busy at all. Had two other couples walk out because it took over 10 minutes to get their drink order. Went a few days before and the service was great. Will definitely have to give it a while before we go back. Sooo, tonight my husband and I only had a hour lunch, witch due to his schedule was around 9pm for him.... I'm sure the employees and manager there where more then aware that we needed a nice yet quick meal..... hints our choice of place to have a lunch break....... OVER A HOUR WAIT, just for the food to come out from the time it had been ordered! Over a hour just for the food..... so due to the lousy timing of food and the hurry to eat, they felt so bad they Gave us a $5 gift card witch we tried to use at the time of pay, and they told us we could NOT use our gift card.....!!! Really?!?!?!? WOW!!!! Ur over a hour getting out our food and clearly know it was wrong so you give a $5 gift card that can ONLY be used, for ANOTHER time!?!?!? Very unsatisfied with THIS chilies! We had a huge soccer team party and the crew at Chili's went above and beyond for us. The food was great, cocktail cold, but the servers were fantastic and so great with our kids. It is tough to spilt checks with family's spread apart at different tables but they did it with no issues. Thanks for make it a fun night for our families! read more

Where do I start, if you value your health and the health of your loved ones don't bring them here. I wouldn't feed my shepard this food. The quality is horrible. They are way over priced for the quality and the bathrooms need a serious cleaning. The Quesa dip is a big no....no if you want to bring your dog some food home I suggest you order this appetizer to go. The only thing worth ordering is there chocolate chip cookie desert. The service here is often times slow, but, they now have new tabletop entertainment devices where you can play games (99 cent charge), browse online, order drinks and dessert. My husband and I recently visited Chilis after receiving a giftcard for the holidays. The fajita trio is excellant and was enough for the two of us to share. I guess this is good and standard for Chili's but that in my book is not so good. The one thing here I truly love is their bloody Marys. They are really good. They have a good long happy hour too. I came here the other day with my family. Great, fun, friendly atmosphere. We were sat right away. Our server was great, she was very attentive and kind. Food came out fast. They don't list the prices of their beer in the menu, just tell you they are two for one. The mugs are small and hollowed out on the bottoms, and they charge $8 for one. We consistently have a great time when we visit our local Chili's. Close to the interstate makes convenient meetings with friends, absolutely the best service anywhere in town makes us keep coming back, coupled with very fresh, very tasty, and very cost effective meals makes Chili's in Ormond our favorite place to eat. Ask for Jacque as your waitress, and you will be glad you did. Manager Steve keeps things running smoothly, and is always eager to help with any concerns (not that we ever have any!!) We give Chili's five stars, but there are ten stars hiding there - seriously, in Ormond, our Chili's is a jewel. read more

Ordered a hamburger simple lettuce tomato. The waitress named several items bacon sauce etc. I said no just lettuce and tomato. She said what do you not want on it! I said. A plain hamburger lettuce tomato. She brings me the bacon cheeseburger! The food here is always good and comes out hot, standard chilis food. The service here past several visits have been extremely slow. So slow that I have actually waited at front podium by door and deceived to go next door to Applebee's. I prefer Chilis food but not with the wait. When I have been greeted reasonably quickly the dining service has only been fair to say the best. Not just once but on many occasions. The food on the other hand has always been very good, so if you have the time it's worth the wait, if in a hurry go elsewhere nearby, many good places that are faster. read more

We got seated right away, our waitress came shortly after and offered drink specials and took our drink order and asked if we would like to try their new appitizeres. We got our drinks within 2 minutes then appertizer 5 min after that. She then took our entree order and that came 10 min later , she constantly kept our drinks full and the food was great. WORST SERVICE EVER! We ordered apps, entrees, drinks and dessert. Server forgot drinks, desserts and the food was brought out cold and fries were missing. When we asked her for the missing items she just handed us the bill with everything still on it... NOT OK. Spoke to manager and he was rude and said "and what do you want me to do about it, you ordered it." He wanted us to pay for the food and drinks we never got, we told him we don't think corporate would appreciate that and he took off the drinks but still charged us for the dessert. I would prefer to give them no stars. I personally think that everyone who works there should be fired. I have never in my life had such bad service. Me and my fiance' went there to celebrate our Anniversary of when we became a couple. We walked in and we had to wait 20 minutes just to be seated with no one in front of us and plenty of sits available while waitresses walked passed us and we were ignored. Once we had been seated we ordered our drinks then noticed someone was seated as soon as they walked in behind where we sat. We got our drinks then ordered an appetizer, with the server acting like they were doing us a favor being there. There was an appetizer deal for half off an order and we had come early enough to get but because of us waiting just to be seated and have our orders taken it was 3 minutes after the time the deal ends and they refused to give us the half off deal. The people behind us where waited on and offered chips while they waited. Unfortunately our server did not offer us chips until we had been sitting there for 45 min and finally the server took our order for food. After we had ordered our appetizer we finally got it after waiting another 45 min. The food was cold and we could tell that it had been sitting in the back for a long time. We waited another hour and a half before our dinner was finally brought to us while we had been waiting we sat there with no refills for our drinks until the dinner came. Also the Margaritas we also ordered where delivered half full and tasted like pure salt. Even the dinner was cold the cheese on the food that was supposed to be melted was hard and we could tell that some of the food was not cooked all the way. Also not trying to make anything worse but of course since I am female and so is my fiance' we where also seeing a lot of discrimination because we where lesbians. People who work there as well as customers were staring at us. I was angry to the point I did not want to tip the waitress or pay for the food but I figured that I could call Corporate and get it settled. However to my surprise they seemed like they did not care either and did nothing but offer us half off an appetizer the next time we come but I refuse to ever go back there for ruining what was supposed to be a very special night with the woman I love. So in the end I spend over $80 for nothing but garbage and horrible service. read more
