There's another Chili's that closer to our home, but we've ended up here in Reno a few times and have not been disappointed. The service is always good and friendly, the quality of the food is good, and the restaurant is clean. Taylor has waited on us a couple times and now we've learned to just ask for her because she's such a good server. If I could give ZERO stars on this one, I would. My family and I are big fans because of the inviting environment and kind staff. But last week, I met some friends there for dinner - arrived 7:15pm. We ordered chips and guacamole, dinners for all of us, a dessert, and margaritas for the three of us. We stayed until about 9:15pm. It was super busy, but we were seated fairly quickly by the hostress who was amazing. That's probably the only reason I would give ONE star. The waitress was terrible. She slammed drinks and food at the table at each delivery and going. Refilling waters with anger for no apparent reason. She stated that she couldn't leave until we paid our check. When we did, she became upset with a 30% tip we provided. As we were chatting (my friend undergoing some serious medical issues) she attempted to clean the table and tipped a glass of ice water on my lap. I was MORTIFIED. She didn't even apologize and just asked US to leave because she wanted to go home. As we were walking out a busser (who was sweeping) replied "Sorry guys, she is always like this, you guys have a good night." He was also clearly embarrassed. Typically, I only use yelp for kind reviews - but in this case - STAY AWAY from this Chili's guys. It is Wednesday. We enter and are asked if we have a reservation. No, it's Wednesday. We are told it is now a government mandate that reservations be made. Oops, must of missed that news cast. We were seated by the manager... Nice Man. Our waitress (name excluded) came immediately. I ordered steak fajitas, my husband ordered the Santa Fe burger. I thought better of it because I was hungry and did not want to have us wait longer for the fajitas. She took 4 steps away and I called her back. I too, ordered a burger. Iasked for no onions and extra pickles. We were not asked about choices in cheese. They brought our drinks. I had ordered iced tea, no lemon my usual. The tea came with lemon. She brought me another one and as she walked away I called out for sweetner since none was offered. She must not of heard because none was brought. Their is a Handsome, Bright young man checking on customers. He immediately looked my way. So Sweet and Charming, brought me a coke zero. Our food came quickly. I lifted the bun to apply mayo and noticed a slice of cheese that covered only half the meat. I looked further and saw onions on my burger. I said No Onions. And I could see that the extra pickles on the side I had requested were missing. I was able to flag her down. The picture I included is my husband finishing his meal before I am able to start mine. The attentive server I spoke of earlier that brought me my Coke Zero is named Khalid. He is what Customer Service is All About. He was Magical. I made the mistake of telling our waitress that we were good tippers when they allowed us to stay even though we had no reservation. I felt our waitresses confidence ebb after every faux pas. She almost looked defeated. I still left a reasonable tip of 20%. I, myself am in the field of Customer Service and I vow to go the extra mile, Always. That is Khalid G. Our waitress the last two times, Stacy is great. Went during lunchtime with coworkers and the order is right and quick. Stacy is very friendly and jolly. We loved that she asked us if we wanted to add avocado since we all love it. I ordered a quesadilla salad which was really good, I would recommend trying it. Haven't been to Chili's in years. Needed something to take home for dinner with my 5yr old. It was surprisingly really good food with great prices. Sat at a high top to order Togo food, but first we ordered chips and salsa. Huge portion with amazing flavors while I looked over the menu. Kids menu and crayons to occupy the little one. Kids dinner we chose for $5.50 included a big Togo cup of juice of our choice (pineapple), pasta Alfredo with chicken and a side of her choice ( broccoli ~ huge portion). I opted for the chicken tacos with avocado ($9.99) three full tacos with black beans and rice soooo tasty and ended up being two meals. Service was good and friendly. Service today was awful, server started out today and said he was the only one working. Ordered chips and salsa and the chips where way over cooked. Asked for new chips and and was told it was the oil. Told them to take the chips and toss them. The food was also awful, should have went somewhere else. The servers are great and door greeters were great! However my girlfriend and I came in for steak dinners and were disappointed. We ordered medium rare stakes. The stakes came out and every bite had degrees of doneness. Some pieces were raw and chewy, others crusty and very well done and some in between. read more

Had a really bad start to my dinner tonight. I had corn and rotten lettuce in my salad. Then came my entree. Cajun chicken pasta. It was dry, the chicken had a weird texture. I had them take it back. The manager came to my table, and made it right. He let me order anything off the menu. I reordered and my plate came out and it was excellent! They really turned my 1 star experience into a solid 3. Great food, excellent prices and good service. We always enjoy having lunch or dinner here especially when we're in the MEADOWOOD Mall area. My go-to are always the craft burgers, they are served hot and freshly cooked with a good amount of fries. My wife enjoys their Fajitas and Enchiladas, the freshest ingredients and flavors are awesome. We also appreciate that they are very Kid friendly with an excellent menu for kids and always have crayons and coloring sheets ready to go. My daughter absolutely loved it! read more

Me and my friends met at this chilis on the 17th of august 2017. I must say that this is one of the best dinning experiences I've had in a while. Our server Brent was awesome. He was Johny on the spot with the drinks. The food was actually pretty delicious. The atmosphere was delightful and inviting. I did have a small issue with receiving my food with an error on it. I didn't say anything because it didn't really bother me too much but a bear by employee came and asked me what was wrong. He must have seen the face I quickly made after looking at my plate. I told him what was wrong and that it wasn't a big deal. He apologized for the mix up and quickly added on what was missing from the meal. I think it is safe to say this place offered one of the worst services I have ever had. Our waitress completely messed up our order not once but twice. She ordered a second meal that no one was there to eat. When we requested mayonnaise as a condiment we waited so long the food became cold and when it did arrive it was with an attitude. Upon pointing out the errors on the bill it took 20 minutes to get the changes corrected and another 20 minutes to get the payment taken care of. My steak was undercooked but fear or waiting another 30 minutes for it to come back I simply ate it. Lesson learned and we will not return to this restaurant. read more

Stopped for lunch today st 11:30 not very busy. Chicken came way undercooked. Told server that. He did not know what i was saying. I told him chicken must be cooked.it was pale white. He brought it back it had a couple of grill marks on it . Ribs were ordered with dry rub. They came out with nothing on them just greasy ribs with NO seasoning. This is my favorite place to go for quick dinner. It's great location. I always order my favorite appetizer, Southwest Eggrolls with dinner entree. For dinner, I would order Oldtimer with cheese with over medium egg and side of onion rings. Can't forget the ranch dressing. My second choice is the Chipotle Chicken Fresh Mex. It's delicious. Miss my hometown Chili's where service is "ALWAYS" exceptional unlike the Chili's on Smithridge. Recently relocated to Reno, of course, head to my "go-to" spot Chili's with a few new friends that I met in Reno. To our surprise we get service from a unprofessional bartender. Of course, everyone has a bad however this has been my encounter each & everytime I visit this Chili's. Then try to get decent service from another team member and that person got in trouble. Serious, what happen to pleasing your customer and having the customer return back for birthday events, work funtions, parents/grandparents celebrating, just happy milestones in life. OBVIOUSLY this Chili's does not promote professional attitude, where "every guest is treated special", the Chilihead in the Bar is not well customer service trained. Unless, your in their/his cliche then don't except "professional" service from bartender Brent. read more

Chili's recent commercials reminded me that I had a $25 gift card that I needed to use. Food always looks better on commercials and on the menu and for chains like this, it's rarely what you actually end up getting. The new enchiladas were calling my name, so I hopped online and took a look. Well, I stupidly looked at the nutrition facts too. 1100 calories?! Guess I'll pick something healthier (sort of) like their Fresh Mex Bowls. My boyfriend picked out the Buffalo Ranch Chicken Sandwich. We placed our order for To-Go and had about 20 minutes before we needed to go pick it up. The cost of meals and the tip fit perfectly on the gift card. Prices are definitely not spendy at Chili's. We picked up our to-go containers and were on our way. I appreciate the few spots and dedicated register just for to-go orders. I'm getting Chili's takeout because I'm lazy so don't make me walk too far. Terrible, I know. Anyway, back at home, my fresh mex bowl looked a little sad. Not like gross sad, but like they just threw everything in there with no regard for presentation. I get it was to-go, but you could have put a little effort in! It also looked like a small serving, but I ended up not being able to finish it all. It didn't notice the chipotle pesto or the cumin-lime sour cream it was supposed to come with. My guess is it was forgotten. I added a little hot sauce it turned out pretty well. Chicken was really tender and juicy. The buffalo ranch chicken sandwich on the other hand - not impressed, like at all. There was probably a total of about 12 fries that came with it. The lettuce they added was completely wilted and nasty. No discernible ranch flavor and I'm not sure that I would call that sauce "buffalo". It was also missing the tomato that the menu listed. Anyway, Chili's is a rare stop for us. I do appreciate that it is there on those days where you don't want to cook, but also don't want to go out and you've had pizza way too many times this month. I'm sure we'll be back, but it might be a couple of years again. read more

Excellent service at this location. Chili's is standard across the board so there was nothing new expected. The manager checked on us mid meal which is always cool and makes you feel kinda special. I had an old gift card and the server took the time to check the balance for me. My drink never ran dry and he even gave us to go cups for the road without asking for them. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this Chili's restaurant....We stopped in for lunch about a week ago, it was very old, dilapidated. Our server was seriously trying to push drinks on us, and then she never came back until we asked for the check. The food was very overly greasy, and it was obvious the cook did not care about presentation. The floors and tables were not cared for, grimy dirty. The booth upholstery was torn, very lumpy uncomfortable. What an awful experience. I'll start with the things that weren't such a big deal. First, I ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas and received steak and chicken. Not such a big deal though, so I didn't mind and continued to eat. The steak was very over cooked and difficult to eat, so I set it aside and didn't eat it. Like I said though, I'm not that picky and didn't care much. However where things got bad was when we asked to have happy birthday to our friend. The server said yes, and then later in the night he asked one of the waitresses to do it. We heard her say "No way, I'm not f***ing doing it". He never ended up getting sang to . I still tipped 20% because she may have just been having a bad night, but we expect better service from Chilli's and are very disappointed. read more

Cathy, Ron and I stopped in for a late lunch today and had a great time at this Chili's! Our server Ken was super friendly and really with it in fact none of the glasses at our table ever made it to the bottom of the glass before he re-filled them. I had the classic turkey toasted sandwich and sub'd corn on the cops for the fries, Cathy had a bowl of the southwest chicken soup and Ron had the quesadilla explosion salad and we all enjoyed our meals. Cathy was eating on the lighter side today, so the soup was a great healthy option for her. All of us really enjoyed our meals and the overall experience was very good! While everyone knows what to expect when dining at Chili's I gotta say that they typically always have something new and fresh on the menu to tempt you. I am a member of United Airlines Mileage Plus and they offer an app to get additional bonus miles when applying electronic gift cards to make payment. Chili's little table side gizmo chokes on accepting payments of this type, but when I explained to Ken that I had a electronic Chili's Gift Card he was able to process it in the back just fine. Oh, the name of the app is MileagePlusX and it is useful at many restaurants and stores in neighborhoods all over the country. Handy tip to know if your into collecting UA miles. read more

The chili was just ground beef taco filling with a heap of tortilla strips and unmelted cheese. Caesar salad was caesar dressing drizzled across very wilted (like, gooey) greens and a handful of stale croutons stashed on a corner of a plate. My son got the grilled chicken dippers...with no dipping sauce? I know it's a chili's, but come on...it's already cheap, but the food isn't worth what they're charging, I think. Had dinner at this Chili's on 8/6/20 and wasn't impressed with the overall service. After waiting approximately 20-25 minutes for a table (to seat the 3 of us) we were not acknowledged by our server until 10 minutes after we sat down. Our server was friendly enough, but was not attentive at all. Despite only seeming to have 4 tables in his section (in the back near the kitchen & bathrooms) we rarely saw him throughout our meal. Once our food was delivered by a food runner, we had to flag the hostess down to ask for ketchup, drink refills, dipping sauces, napkins and extra silverware, since our waiter never came by to check on us after our food was delivered. He finally came by to check on us again, approximately 20 minutes AFTER our food was delivered! We noticed that the majority of the time we were seated, our server continuously hung out at the waiter station and seemed to be flirting and talking with the hostess. This was initially pointed out to me by the table seated diagonal from us that had tried getting our servers attention to pay their bill. I'm hoping that this is an issue with this server only and not an overall theme at this Chili's location. I think management should speak to their employees and remind them they're in the Customer Service Industry, not working for a dating service read more

Anyway, I was there, because I let my brother choose the place to eat and that's where we landed. You'll find something edible on the menu. I had the Top Shelf Tacos (pork), which were okay if not over greasy. The salad was served at the same time as everything else, which was a little odd to me. The poor wait staff is being automated by a kiosk at every table. Even with the automation with the ordering and bill paying, service was still slow. This place is probably the better Chili's in the Reno/Sparks area. The food at this place is usually good and consistant. I eat here usually once a month and have had decent experiences. The food is probably not the best food out there, but for the price verses quality it gets three stars. Even though my food and my girlfriends food was not on the 2 for $20 menu, our waitress gave us the 2 for $20 price. If you are looking for a bite to eat at a cheap price this place is one of the better places in the meadowood mall area. read more

My daughter and I just went here for dinner (8/25). We got here at 9:10 and almost immediately ordered. We got the $20 deal: cheese fries for appetizer, and baby back ribs and sirloin steak for the entrées. The server came by our table twice to tell us that our order is coming up. However, 25mins later, we still haven't gotten anything. It was so odd because there weren't too many customers to begin with. With how much workers they have, I thought they were going to take good care of us. Wrong. The server came by our table at 9:45 and told us that they haven't even started cooking our fries.
