Finally writing a review after visiting multiple times. We really enjoy the beers, apps and entrees. We haven't had a bad meal food-wise yet! I would definitely recommend a reservation if coming on a weekend night as the place gets packed. Pizookies are always a must have to end the night! Service can be hit or miss. We've had a lot of good servers, so not as much that maybe need a but more experience or training as some are very willing to make accommodations where others don't or see confused how to make accommodations or slight modifications. But overall I'd say we've had more positive then begative service experiences. read more

We stopped by BJ's in Sparks a while back @11:00 am. When we walked in , there were no customers except two other tables. We ordered a beer and several appetizers. My beer came and then nothing! We waited and waited about 30 minutes. Nothing happened at our table, but we noticed new customers, who came in well after us, were getting whatever they ordered way before us. Really?!? So, finally we decided to leave. I went to pay for my beer (which I barely touched) and we told them exactly why we were leaving. The manager apologized but it was far too late. We had run out of time AND patience. The server apologized, but it wasn't her fault. The kitchen ignored our ticket and made food for everyone else in the place. WTF? I said, never again BJ's. It was a good run, but this was the second time, since we have been patronizing this particular BJ's, that we were stiffed by the kitchen staff. read more

We hadn't been to a BJ's so we decided to give it a try. We left in sticker shock. I had the California flatbread. If you look at the picture, you see a piece of lavash sparsely covered with a couple of small cubes of chicken per slice, a small sprinkling of bacon and the tiny pieces of green are avocado bits. This was $18. The Caesar salad was better but the dressing was sorta boring. I doubt if most people could tell what the dressing was if they were blindfolded. $17 seemed a stretch. And finally the music. We recognized early that we weren't the target crowd. Loud rap didn't work for us. read more

Came here with my sister for their beer dinner. It comes as a 5 course meal and drinks per course. I opted out the drinking and went for the dinner. It is a pretty good deal and it was my 2nd beer dinner from this restaurant. It took approximately three hours for dinner so it as pretty long but the food was amazing. Having five courses it first came with calamari, salad, pizza, salmon, and then for dessert their yummy pizookie. The food was great, service was amazing, value is worth. I hate to update a one star review for a business that my kids love so much. I'm not sure what happened yesterday, but I had to give myself a moment before posting because I left that establishment so angry. The service and food were both so disgusting. My family and I dined in last night 7/12 after catching a movie. We were seated in girl Alex's section. I'm not sure whether she received any training in waiting on tables, but she was atrocious. She referred to us all as hun. Umm yes she was unprofessional, but her lack of basic service skills. I'm assuming I'm 20 years your senior. I'm not your "hun," no one in my family is your "hun". I could have wrote that one off, but we waited to get greeted. We waited too long for drinks then waited longer for my kids appetizer. She constantly reached across my husband's face with her elbow in his face to serve me last. Photos below are photos of what was supposed to be a baked potato. It was mashed potatoes in a shell of this disgusting potato skin. She told me, "She had to go check if they had an end cut in stock". I ordered their prime rib weekend special so I could share with my son. She had no clue what an end cut was. It would be nice for your employees to have basic knowledge of your menu and your specials. A tip for you Alex, If you expect a tip, do your basic job. You did not check back with us to see if we needed anything. It's your job to do quality control from the kitchen to us, your customers. I'm sure you wouldn't consume that disgusting excuse for a baked potato, so why would you serve that to me? You did not check back and then you brought a pizookie out with a single plastic spoon. I've been here a million times, but that was a first for me to see a plastic spoon at our table. That was my last straw with you. Just fyi horseradish is a staple served with prime rib. You're obviously clueless because you dropped off A-1? We always tip on service and that was why you didn't receive a cent from us. That's what you earned! Do better! To BJ's we thought she was having a bad day, but she didn't treat this other tables in plain view from our table the way she was with us. The manager was there for at least a half hour, but never circled back or around the restaurant. I would have given that plate to her. She was too busy brown nosing to certain customers. Overall horrible experience. I'm not sure why service here at Bjs in Sparks is either phenomenal or disgusting. No in between. The Birthday club decided to celebrate Patty's Birthday at BJs Brew House. The bad thing about the bar area, they're unable to seat 7 of us for happy hour so the manager was so kind to set up a table for us in the dining room and allowed us to have happy hour there and continue on with our dinner. This was super nice because it would have been a 45 minute wait to get a table. The kitchen was behind due to 5 big parties and only 5 servers. The manager kept apologizing for the delay and we were fine with it, us girls had a lot of catching up to do. We all had the special $13 menu deals. Everyone chose a different menu item so it was fun to see all the variety dishes all at once. With the $13 special it includes pkooskie which is the best part. I had the wedge salad which I had not tried before and it was quite tasty and the hot honey pizza with pepperoni and ham, cooked perfectly and crispy, just the way I like it. A round of happy hour drinks and three appetizers $50 and dinner for 7 $125 that's what I call a great deal! We had awesome service even with the delay! If you're looking some where that is reasonable with a large group look no further this place is for you. read more

I love bj's restaurants so much! The food, the ambience, and the vibes are all immaculate! But this restaurant, not up to standards. (service wise) Me and 2 friends came over here after shopping at the Legends, (great place by the way!) we were STARVING. We got seated, and started browsing the menu. Our server, Aiden, came over and quickly got our drinks. So far, everything was great. There was music playing, and the whole restaurant and it's restrooms were clean. Aiden came over, he took our orders, when he said "it won't take long" we felt excited! Little did we know that was not the case. There's not much I can write about what we did during the 45 minutes we waited for our food. Our stomachs growled, and we sipped on our drinks. If the restaurant was packed, I would understand, but it was not! Aiden came over with 2 of the 3 orders. Turns out they mixed up the 3rd dish and had to remake it... Disappointment! Aiden joked about harassing the kitchen chefs so they would make it quickly. We were all hangry, so that joke did not come well. Thankfully, only 7 minutes later he came back with our final dish. We had lunch there today to get our fave calamaris. But the funny thing (and frustrating) , was they failed to deliver it as our appetizer because they had problems in the kitchen. Someone must have not put the tab or maybe it was forgotten. Appetizers are suppose to be served before your entree. Anyway, things happen and we've been there several times and it does not stop us from going there. I ordered Shrimp Scampi. It was pretty good, though i'm not a fan of angel hair. We arrived at very busy time, just past happy hour which ends st 7:00 PM. We found a booth in the bar area right away. We were greeted promptly and had an opportunity to order drinks while checking out the specials. The restaurant was vibrant and clean and had the NBA playoffs on. We opted for the $20 large pizza special, a Hopstorm (BJ's IPA), and a Wedge salad with basalmic glaze. We all shared a Salted Caramel Pizookie to end. The pizza in my opinion needed more sauce and was a little overcooked on the top. They graciously provided me with additional marinara spice on the side. Our waitress was very attentive and funny. Decided to grab some lunch here with the family. We were seated immediately and drinks came right after. We had a newer server and she was so sweet! I ordered the chicken pita tacos and they actually came out wrong. She stated she accidentally grabbed the wrong ones as she is still learning the dishes. I had a few bites and noticed the chicken wasn't at all what I was expecting. By that time she had come back and admitted to serving the wrong dish. She replaced it immediately with the correct one. Been coming here for years and it has steadily gone downhill. Ate there on 8/15. Our 10-15 min wait was 30 min. When the host sat us, he had to choose a different table as the table was disturbingly dirty. He sat us at another table that was dirty and still had the bill and tip from the last customers. The seat cushions were non existent, the wall between the booths was gross. The floor disgusting...sticky and food everywhere. My wife's pita tacos...the pita was burned. We arrived at BJ's around 12:15am knowing they closed at 1am and I felt a little bad coming in so late. Despite that the service was absolutely amazing and we never felt rushed or unwelcome. It was clean and empty despite there being a few other couples present. A few items weren't available which was completely understandable given the time but everything we ordered was great. The strawberry lemon drop was the highlight of the night and easily my favorite drink of all time. My boyfriend ordered a beer and was very happy with it. I had the chicken parm with pasta which was delicious and he ordered the chicken and steak with mashed potatoes. Everything definitely hit the spot. We also shared a side of garlic shrimp with bread and it was a great addition. Overall we left extremely happy and pleased with our visit. We were a group of 14 having a celebration dinner, and I feel BJ's did a decent job hosting us. Let's say 3.8 stars. Minus a couple of snags, the food and service was on point. I would recommend BJ's for a group of 10 or less to be sat at the same table. Our setup was a little wonky with an L-shaped configuration. It worked, but it wasn't quiet ideal. Let's get into the details. The protein bowl is my go-to and it doesn't disappoint. Although, I did try many of the items at the table and most were great! The one surprise at the table were the Brussels sprouts. While the picture doesn't do it justice, they were flavorful and crispy! Highly recommend! And there were some pizooki virgins in the group, but their cookie dishes went back to the kitchen licked clean! And the wings are always an easy pleaser. Overall, this was a fairly positive experience, but there are a few items that could absolutely be improved. I felt forgotten about making the reservation. During the initial call, they said their supervisor would call back shortly to confirm since they were a bit busy. I waited 4 hours and had to call to make another request. Luckily Kevin got me squared away. As with many big groups, one dish was forgotten about and didn't make it out until about 15 minutes after everyone else's. The flat bread had a soggy bottom. You can probably skip the jambalaya, because it doesn't really taste like the jambalaya you're wanting. And while we gave the benefit of the doubt and thought the chicken sandwich was just well seasoned and maybe the frying oil was old, we were wrong. Food is pretty good here! And the menu is huge which is a pro for pleasing everyone in your group but also hard for someone like me who is indecisive. I've been to this location many times through the years and the last few times I've noticed major issues with wait times. I think they may be often understaffed.... Our food last time took about an hour to get for a party of 5. So, 2 is a real low rating for me, I'm usually pretty forgiving. Let's start with the positives. This place is very clean, our server was friendly, and the atmosphere and ambience here is decent. That's really where the positives ended today sadly. The food, let me start by saying we were a party of 9, at noon. The restaurant was not very crowded at all, less than 50% capacity, and we did call ahead. The table mostly ordered burgers, and chicken sandwiches, I myself ordered the sirloin. The first part that absolutely put me off was the waitress asked how I would like it cooked, but then specified they only cook down to medium, and the other options are medium well or well. My initial reaction was "seriously," and she confirmed yes seriously, so I guess I'm goin with medium. That is actually absolutely not ok to me that you cannot choose how you want your steak cooked, I have never heard this policy at a single other restaurant on earth. Burger policy maybe, but a steak? Ridiculous. So anyway, onto the next part, the food took an ENTIRE 60 minutes to make it to the table. That was an incredibly long wait time for some lunch options. The first thing I noticed on my food was the broccoli was old and even becoming moldy. Apart from the broccoli being black on the florets from the mold, it was shriveled up and flaccid. On top of all that, it wasn't even steamed all the way... old, flaccid, moldy, half cooked broccoli. Yikes. Now the steak, totally hard to cut, hard to chew, and fully well done.... I also got the Chicken Tortilla Soup, and it was a bowl of pure salt, it was intense... At this point? You may be asking yourself if I sent it back, I didn't. This was a business meal, and we had a strict timeline that we already went well over. If I was personally paying for this meal I would have asked for a refund, sent all the food back, and left. I am absolutely disappointed personally, and we will not be bringing any employees back to BJ's after this experience again. Unless something drastically changes here, I suggest you stay with the local options and skip the chain. Since the other food was at least palatable, and the waitress was friendly and attentive, I'll throw them a bone with the 2 stars, but my plate specifically was easily 0 out of 5 stars. read more

It was close to lunch time and to minimize our wait, we opted to sit at the high top tables in the bar area. Brandon was our server and he was immediately attentive, friendly and continued to check in on us regularly. Wanted to order some wings for appetizer unfortunately they are out and luckily we got the last order for the calamari. 7/5/2026: I am very disappointed with my order. I ordered To go online through the BJ's website at 10:45pm. I ordered fish and chips, the chicken Parmesan, s'mores pizookie, and a cocktail. The total was 86 dollars, which is already a lot but I was excited. They said the order would be ready at 11:10, which is when I arrived. The parking lot only had 3 cars in it I should mention, the restaurant was pretty slow. They did not get the order out until 11:30, which sucks because I was not anticipating waiting (I had my dog in the car waiting on me). But then I got my fish and chips and it was literally cold. Overpriced, an hour wait when the restaurant wasn't busy, and cold food. I will not be coming back. When I came back to reply the server was ignoring me and the cook was on his phone. They remade the order but the rest of my items were cold and my ice cream melted. read more

I'm writing this while finishing my meal at BJ's because the experience has been frustrating from start to finish. We sat for about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. When we asked about getting the happy hour beer price, we were told a manager had to approve taking a whole $2 off a beer. Then we found out they were out of Jeremiah Red. Our replacement beers finally arrived... warm. We ordered our food, only to have our server come back about 10 minutes later and tell us that two of our three orders weren't even available because they were out of the mini pizzas. It would've been nice if someone knew what was actually in stock before we ordered. The food took long enough that I was starting to think they were making the batter from scratch. To be fair, when it finally arrived, it was hot and actually tasted really good. That's what makes this review disappointing. The kitchen delivered, but everything leading up to the food missed the mark. Between the slow service, warm beer, multiple menu items being unavailable, and poor communication, it just wasn't a good dining experience. The French dip had about 2 tbsp of au jus in the cup, there were no onions when there were supposed to be and they didn't give us the fries we ordered.
