We had a great time at Chili's, our server Rowland definitely deserves a shout out! He had a great personality, was funny, and helpful. Chili's is a casual dinner spot, it is great for a good dinner with nice deals. The 3 for me deal is great! We both ended up getting that. One with the enchilada soup and a burger, and one with the bottomless chips and salsa and the chicken crispers. The chicken crispers were a bit chewy, but not bad. I also got the zesty Korean sauce with them and it was delicious! The fries on the side of our entrees were hot and fresh. The enchilada soup was also super good. I almost filled up on the soup and chips and salsa before my food came out! No one can beat bottomless chips and salsa. The chips are a bit thin for my preference, but it being unlimited makes up for it! We even got a bag of chips and salsa to go too which was awesome! I called ahead to see what the wait time for a party of 12 would be, was told it would be about 45 minutes. The woman put me on the wait-list. We came about 15 minutes later and I checked in with the young man and woman at the hostess station. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to sit or stand out of the way and it was too cold to stand outside. After standing around and in the way for a little over an hour I checked in with the woman and was told "well we're still at a 50 minute wait, so it'll probably be atleast 30 minutes" when we asked why we were told 45 minutes originally they denied anyone would tell us that and that they have no control over wait times...what a poor excuse for service. We watched them continuously sit smaller parties again and again with seeming no desire to make or hold space for us. We decided to take my daughter's birthday dinner to another restaurant. A bit of a negative side, our waitress (Josie) stood talking to the table next to us for at least 10 minutes. Not about food or anything, I think they were friend? The server, Josie was friendly enough, but very difficult for us to get over making us wait so long while she socialized at a different table. And then walked in away. Really good quality food and really good price especially post Covid. Being ignored for 10 minutes will not stop us from coming back here, although it did dent her gratuity. This was my first time going to this location of Chili's before. I visited Sunday evening May 1, it was around 6 or 7 PM and there was a group of 6 of us. The good: Waitress was bubbly and attentive. She was very prompt with filling up our water glasses. There wasn't a long delay between drink orders and taking our food order. Food came out in a timely manner and was hot, at least mine and my boyfriend's food was. One of our party said his burger came out lukewarm. An order of White Spinach Queso was ordered and we as a group split it. It was very cheesy creamy and delicious. The normal chips and salsa was also a hit with the table. My boyfriend and I split an appetizer as we weren't very hungry. We ordered the Triple Dipper and got a choice of three appetizers: the Crispy Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers, Southwestern Egg Rolls and Fried Pickles. Everything was cooked well. My favorite of the three were the Honey Chipotle Crispers, which was essentially a chicken tender. The size was not as large as Raising Cane's but bigger than a nugget from Mcdonald's. The Southwestern Egg rolls were too spicy for my liking, and the Fried Pickles just left something to be desired. I think the pickle itself was too floppy and not crispy enough. The bad-ish: The restaurant itself was clean, but the women's restroom was in a slight state of disarray. It was towards the end of the day so I won't fault them too much for this. The dip trio had the queso I always loved, but the guacamole was already turning brown. Chips were cold and tasted stale. Next came my chicken crispers. They were hot, but that's where the good ends. It's been awhile since we've been here. The food and service were really good. John, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive. We had gone there right after the UNR/UNLV game (we were so thirsty. Was not paying 6 bucks for a bottle of water at the game. lol). He must have refilled our water glasses 4 or 5 times and he kept checking back with us to make sure everything was ok. My meal, the guiltless sirloin and asparagus, was great, and they did not skimp on the asparagus. My sirloin came out a perfect medium but the asparagus didn't have the ends cut off so when I got down to the hard stuff I just left it on my plate. They tasted really good, though. My husband ordered the half rack of baby back ribs, which came with a side of mac and cheese and a side of fries. The mac and cheese cup was only half full, which sucked, and the fries was a decent portion. He said they all tasted great, but wished the mac and cheese cup was fuller. Took my Granddaughter to lunch our last hurrah before school starts! Tables are distanced for patrons and employees all wore masks. We were given a paper menu and service was quick and friendly. She ordered shrimp salad and I had the buffalo chicken salad. The chicken was very good, crispy and flavorful. The lettuce was not crisp and on the wilted side but the dressing disguised it. I have eaten at this Chili's location years ago, but now it is close to where I work so I decided to order food to go. Navigating through their website to order was easy. I selected the time I wanted to pick-up my food and paid online. They have designated parking spaces for those picking up To Go orders. For reference, these spaces are on the side of the building facing S. Virginia Street. As soon as I parked, I checked in via the confirmation e-mail and entered my space number. Almost immediately my food was brought out and I was on my way! I ordered the Brisket Burger with loaded mashed potatoes for my husband. Normally I would order fries, but I was afraid they would not maintain their integrity for the 30 minute drive home. The loaded mashed potatoes were a great substitute and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal. I love the Chicken Crispers at Chili's, so that is what I ordered along with loaded mashed potatoes. Delicious! Everything was packaged well, and despite sitting in traffic for 15 minutes, arrived home still warm and tasty! I'm pretty sure most of their food is pre-made and they're just professionally re-heating it, but I really enjoyed those fried chicken bits. Unfortunately, the batter that they use on these has changed. It resembles more the McDonalds mcnuggets now. Very bready and not at all crisp. Borderline gross and unpleasant, and the meat was bone dry. I liked that they were willing to substitute some of the wing-sauce, and I tried the mango habenero sauce, which also was fairly gross. Very salty and bitter. I regretted the entirety of my order. Again, I couldn't blame the service, as they were perfect, it's just the institution obviously doesn't care about the quality of food. I could taste that at some point, some executive decided to save a penny and cut the quality of the ingredients even further than what they had been at. My buddy and I come to chili's every week since we'll before Covid-19 hit, we usually order from the "3 For Me" or the "$10 lunch" menu. Can't beat the price and the quality of the food. Compared to any other place or fast food restaurant chili's has the all beat. The staff treat us like family, Paloma, Brie, Jake, & Austin are excellent, they always get our orders perfect and even don't mind when I ask for something a bit different. We are sad that they've changed their original chicken crispers, now they only have the extra crispy ones that we don't care for unless they sauce them. Their southwest chicken soup is the best, full of meat, homeny, and a little spice, but not too spicy. It's my go to soup when I'm there. Orders came shortly after while we were sitting at our table chatting. Meat on burgers were just right, and not salty either.
