This is the second time I've come to this Chili's and the last. The first time I went, we saw our server three times. Once for drinks, twice for food orders, and the third to deliver our food. No refills were given, no questions about the quality of the food. We had intended to order dessert, but because our server never returned, we paid using the tablet at the table and left. Not only was the service poor, the waiting times were horrible. It's like some restaurant limbo in there, an eternity of waiting for less than desirable results. This time however, we did not even have the opportunity to be seated. The host had left the stand to wait on tables, and we waited patiently and watched as families came in and left without so much as a glimpse of the elusive host. Many servers eyed the people standing to ask about being seated, but they were either too busy or didn't care, and left us to reminisce on times when host's were at their stands and seating was quick and attainable. I'm so highly disappointed with this Chilis. Our last few orders have been unsatisfactory however we keep giving them chances. Tonight broke the camels back. Picked up my order curbside, sauces were missing so my husband went in to request those. While waiting on him I tasted my margarita to go & it tasted like sweet & sour on ice and I immediately had a frog in my throat. On the freeway I called Chilis to get a refund on the upcharge for the margarita with no apology to only get home to find my husbands order was wrong, my chicken crispers were drowning in sauce so much so they were soggy, the portion of my salad wouldn't fill up my 4year old, the croutons were stale, the Skillet Cookie wasn't warm nor fresh which was obvious by how it crumbled apart and tasted days old. I stopped at Chili's because it was conveniently located close to Target where I was. It was late and I wanted to get home soon. The hostess stand was empty and after waiting for a few minutes I sat myself in the bar area. I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not but I sat for almost 10 minutes before being approached or even a menu being delivered. Several made eye contact but nothing was ever said even though two servers passed me several times. One of the servers appeared to be wound tight and walking way to fast in a small bar area. Basically, doing a drop and go at each table as fast as possible and rushing through. Unfortunately, he turned out to be my server, Isaiah. Why? It wasn't that busy with only 6 tables occupied and several already had their entrees with two servers. The bartender had 4 couples dining at the bar, she was pouring drinks and had a fabulous personality. I almost moved to the bar and regret that I didn't. Isaiah's behavior continued and not only made me uncomfortable but I felt rushed and unwelcome. Impatient with short, one or two word questions or comments and providing the bare minimum. No straw, no napkins, no utensils, no extras of any kind till I asked. Because of his mannerism I ordered my appetizer as dine in but when he returned I ordered my entree as a to-go order. He almost seemed irritated that I ordered an appetizer but almost relieved my entree was to go. I ended up taking most of the appetizer to go as well. 0 stars for service. I ordered the very flavorful Southwestern eggrolls with crispy flour tortillas, chicken, black beans, corn, jalapenos jack cheese, red peppers and spinach. They were served with a tasty avocado-ranch dip. Luckily they reheated well in the microwave since I only had one piece at the restaurant. My entree was a half order of Low & Slow TX size baby back ribs served with fries and roasted street corn. I opted to switch out fries for loaded mashed potatoes which was brought out incorrectly but he corrected quickly. The sauce options are house bbq, original, honey-chipotle or dry rub. He never asked which I wanted and I was so frustated I didn't even think to mention the sauce I preferred. I think I had the original which was okay. The ribs were tender, meaty with lots of flavor. The loaded mashed potatoes were nice and cheesey and the corn was fresh but without the street toppings. Again, details didn't seem important to him. The carry out containers were sturdy with nice size compartments and transported nicely. The meal warranted 4 stars but I deducted 1 star for the server errors and attitude. Was in Rosenberg, TX a couple of weeks ago (June 6th) and was looking for a place to eat. It was late but they were still open. Had to wait a few minutes as another party was also waiting to be seated. Got seated soon after and since it was late, I wanted something light to eat. Ordered the chop salad with shrimp. So far nothing unusual or noteworthy. When my salad showed up, it looked great. Breaded fried shrimp atop a bed of greens and the dressing was drizzled artfully over the shrimp and greens. I had a shrimp first and it was cooked right and tasted pretty good. Then I stabbed a bunch of greens, mostly iceberg lettuce, and took it in. The lettuce was very wilted and soft, no crisp or crunch. Moved stuff around and tried another bite and same thing. I ate the shrimp and left the greens while waiting for our server to pass by. She checked on us and I let her know about the wilted lettuce and and she apologized and walked away. What??... Then later she comes by and apparently forgot I mentioned the wilted lettuce and she offers me a box to take the rest of the salad home. Incredible. I totally underestimated this Chili's Restaurant. I read all these bad reviews and was so afraid to eat here. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by happy employees. We were seated right away. The waitress was there as soon as we set down, taking our drink order. Before she can walk away from our table, another server was there bringing us chips and salsa. The food came out piping hot, delicious and quick. Not to mention, we had a few server that came by our table, asking us do we need anything? This includes the manager that was on staff. In the future, I will be giving all restaurant a try and I hope others reading this will give Chili's a try. Do not count Chili's out, because of the bad reviews. I Went into Chili's for lunch today....Customer service was horrible the entire time I was there. Waiting to be waited on was frustrating...I had to ask for refills on my tea....and my water was in a dirty glass....my side salad was brought out and tossed in front of me and he quickly walked off...I finally got his attention so I could get eating utensils. When my entree eventually came out...(Cajun chicken pasta) it was luke warm . The garlic toast was good though. Finally....eventually...I was finally able to get a to-go box so I could just take it home to warm it up myself. I saw a table send back 2 salads and I was able to view the kitchen area and how many attempts they took to get the salad right while the male manager is yelling. Dropped by last night for dinner. A nice waiter came to take my order. He did a great job keeping my sweet tea filled. I ordered the SW Eggrolls and the Soft Chicken Tacos. The tacos are not the same recipe as years ago, but they were good. I was very impressed with my waiter. He asked me a few times if I was ok, then started showing me a thumbs up sign. I would nod yes to let him know I was doing ok. The music was good and kept at a nice level. I could hear all the words, but not so loud that people couldn't have a conversation. Been here couple of times. Both for take out and dine in. Dine service is spotty. Service can be better. Once waited an hour for food. The manager did come by to let us know there was an issue with our food. Which was odd since there was only two other tables, both (2 tops) came after us and was receiving food before us. Food was hot and good tho. Had take out here several time. Always a wait so your food just sit there and gets cold or they forgot an item. But today was the worst!!! I came in said I was there for pick up and then we go through the process of checking the food. I noticed how hard and dark my original chicken crispers were I then told the server that it didn't look right. The server however thought it was a good idea to basically say I am wrong and that's how they always looked and made a point to tell me they had just been cooked. No! Fairly slow and took about 30 minutes for food. Ordered the sizzling fajitas with two steak orders for about 15 dollars. (Had to pay an extra 2 dollars for steak for each order) so almost 17 dollars. On top of that you have to pay 1.50 for rice and beans no longer included. And what we received was not enough steak for one person. REVIEW FOR "IT'S JUST WINGS" (inside chili's) ***UPDATE 4/30/2021*** I have taken the rating from 5 stars down to two for the following reasons. -quality of wings has deteriorated over the past 3 months -wings are either burnt rock hard because they've been under the heating lamp all day or they are still bloody. -4 out of 5 times they don't put dipping sauce in. -fries are either a soggy mess or burnt to a crisp Whoever is doing quality control there obviously doesn't care one bit because it shows. These wings used to be really good. I started noticing a reduction in quality about a month and a half ago and it has consistently declined. I switched over to WINGSTOP and have to say their wings are infinitely better in quality and size. I have placed an order with just wings today for one final time. I should've read the reviews before entering this location. Before getting our table, we were speaking about how long it had been since the last time we ate at a Chili's. We were complementing the nice decor, food selection, and drink selection. We were so eager to try this restaurant again, but that all changed as we walked in. As we entered the restaurant, the location was pretty much empty with exception of 3 tables that were fully occupied. First, It took approximately 10 minutes to sit us at a table. As we sat down, the friendly waitress took our drink orders and then brought us our drinks. She then took our food orders and basically disappeared. 45 minutes later she came to ask us if we needed some refills but at this time we were upset because no one had come to explain to us why our orders were taking so long. Before thinking about walking out, the waitress informed us that the manager was helping her serve our food to bring it to us. Finally, after an hour long wait (in an empty restaurant) our food was brought out. To make things worse, one of the orders was wrong and we just returned it. I do not understand the service in this establishment and apparently we have not been the only ones who experienced this poor service. We were expecting the manager to come and apologize and check on us to see if everything was ok after we had been served, but NOPE. He didn't acknowledge the only table he had on that one section. No apologies for wrong order nor the long 1 hour wait. We will definitely not be returning to this establishment. Such a disappointment! read more
