We came in for lunch and ordered a medium rare burger and it was cooked well done. The Southwest Salad looked like it was a holdover from dinner the night before. The service was fine but will not return. 54th Street restaurant that shares a parking lot is SO MUCH BETTER. The restaurant was clean enough even though it has seen better days. The manager did reach out which I greatly appreciate. Again the food was unsatisfactory but the service was great. We really do like Chili's and we normally like the food. It's been awhile, but glad we tried it again. They have a choose 3 deal for 10.99, which is comparable in price (if not better) to just about every fast food burger place. The hamburger was thick and juicy, bun was wonderful and had been perfectly toasted and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. Fries were thicker, seasoned and perfectly crispy on the outside. The starter that goes with this special can be chips and salsa or a salad. They both were great! The waitress wasn't anything special and the place seemed clean. For this price I can't justify going to Culver's, Freddie's, five guys or anywhere for that matter. This burger was better than all of those. read more

We ordered the Just Bacon Burgers. Takeout. They tasted fine. But what we received in no way looked like the picture on the menu. I know the food in the menu pics always look better than what is delivered. However I expect the to be assembled in the same manner. Pictured was a burger patty with cheese and bacon strips sitting on a stack of pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and sliced onion. What we received was a pinch of bacon crumbles (the mass of which was less than a strip) and pinch of chopped onion. They obviously used the ingredients that is supposed to be used on the salads and other side dishes. It's been a long while since we ordered from them due to issues like this. The wait staff are great. And at least they weren't pink on the inside this time. read more

Needs a lot of improvement! Ate here on a week night, so they were not busy when we were there. Bathrooms had a raw sewage smell in them, horrible smell. I ordered the Shrimp Fajitas and Coffee. They were good other then extremely greasy. Coffee was ice cold. The other 2 in my group ordered chicken sandwiches with salad and soup. The other sides included baked potato and mashed potatoes. The baked potato soup, mashed potatoes, and baked potato were all cold. The cold stuff was sent back and replacements were never brought out again, so we had to remind them. First of all, I love the way y'all slice your orange garnishes. Perfect for squeezing into my beer. Second, my server/bartender Melody was so kind. I watched her work her tail off running around serving not only the bar, but all the tables on that side of the restaurant. She handled it gracefully, and I noticed other servers offering her a hand, but I couldn't help but feel like she could have used more support. My wife and I went to this restaurant at 5105 N Belt Hwy in St Joseph, MO for lunch. Lunch was good, but it was the bill payment experience that set me off. First, the machine asked if I wanted the receipt e-mailed, or NO receipt. Those were the only two choices. In other words, give you my e-mail address so I can be put on your spam list, or go without a receipt. That is not acceptable. I wanted a printed one. That is how I choose to do my home accounting. Second, the machine would not let me finish the checkout without including a tip! Whenever I put in a tip of zero, it went back to the previous screen, INSISTING that I include one. (For what it's worth, I chose to leave a CASH tip, but that's beside the point). Then, to further infuriate me, it asked for a donation to St. Jude. I don't care if it's a good charity or not. It's not MY charity, and I do not wish to be solicited by your electronic begging machine. What corporate brainiac came up with these procedures is beyond me. I would be curious to see how you they justify these things. I wrote to corporate, but they chose to blow me off. Needless to say, they lost another customer. By the way, my bill was $29.93 + a $6 tip for the waitress, who is innocent of any complicity. read more

Food was good. A little over priced for their 2 meat combo. Got double brisket and it looked like one serving. The Salmon was good. The service was horrible though. We seen the waitress twice and someone else helped us out. We had to ask for straws l, a spoon for soup and napkins. We received 1 little container of ranch of 6 decent sized chicken strips and when we got those we got one for each strip which was a little extreme. I will not be going back. read more

Made the mistake of going here. Ordered a simple BUFFALO Chicken Ranch Sandwich with fries. The kid said "go wait in your care and I'll bring it out to you". Waited an hour and fifteen minutes and finally went in and it was sitting on a shelf for who knows how long. Ordered online at the St Joseph,MO Chili's. Won't be doing that EVER AGAIN!!! forgot part of the order, didn't send what we did order and and the food we did get wasn't fit to eat. Tasted like cardboard and had to have been sitting for almost 30 min. We were there 10 min early to pick up so it's not like we were late. Called manager and were told the Gen mgr would have to handle the issue she would call us. Three days later I called them just to find out they would send us coupons!!! If I wanted a refund I would have to call and do the leg work, get the information and tell them. I couldn't just give them my card number??? Don't order "to go" from Chili's if you do check the entire order before you leave. Be prepared to do your own investigation. Better yet don't go there at all. No customer service. We went there for Lunch today, if possible I'd give it NEGATIVE stars! It was ten minutes before our order was finally taken, I asked about substituting for the sides on my meal, the waiter stated "we have a new manager and he doesn't allow substitutions." The food didn't arrive until 47 minutes after the waiter left our table. I asked him at around 35 minutes in where our food was. He stated "they're plating it now you'll have it in 3 - 5 minutes". Well, around 12 minutes later it arrived and we had to ask for silverware, I ordered fajitas and I had to ask for tortillas for my fajitas. Drink refills were few and far between. We observed the manager apologizing to another table about how slow things were (they came in AFTER us and received their food BEFORE us!) We never saw the manager. To top it off when I went to pay with the tabletop device I had been charged $1.99 for a game that I never ordered or played, I was 16 minutes late returning to work from this fiasco. read more

Our burgers were cooked properly and were nice and juicy. Chili's has a great flavor to their burgers. My friend said his turkey sandwich was very good as well. Every time we order to go from this location, something is wrong. Today we were missing half our delivery order. Gage, the manager, was so rude about it. He stated it was my fault as the customer and then asked me what he could do to make it right, but the tone in his voice was condescending and rude.
