My family and I love going to this Chili's. The food is delicious and the service is excellent! The prices are hard to beat as well! Two if us had the prime rib burrito and one of us had the chicken and salmon combo plate. Everything was very tasty and of good quality! I would definitely recommend those dishes when you go! Our server Kim was very kind and polite with a nice personality! She was on the ball with our food and drinks. As you can tell from the ratings, there is a problem here and the management needs to get on Yelp and address these issues. My wife and I recently stopped here for lunch and as we have eaten at numerous Chili's locations all over the country. Generally, they are consistent from location to location in terms of food quality and level of service. Personally, I will overlook a mediocre meal but not poor customer service. The restaurant was not at all busy, but our lunch took over 20 minutes to be served and when it arrived it was cold and had to be sent back. Waitstaff was indifferent at best there were long lapses between serving and check. My take on this location is that the staff is not properly trained nor is management attentive to correcting any of the problems mentioned in these reviews. Came here for dinner with my friend on the way home from the airport. First the waiter told us they were out of a bunch of things on the menu. Then I went to order a bud light and he said they were out of that too. How are you out of bud light? Anyways, we ordered the 2 for $20 meal which comes with 2 entrees and an appetizer. A long time later our meals came but no appetizer. When the waiter came back we asked about our appetizer and he first blamed the kitchen staff, then proceeded to say he was busy making sure another table next to us got their food. Ok? Guess their order was more important than ours. We got the appetizer way after our meals came and ended up having to wrap it up. My friend ordered the ribs and they barely had any meat on them. I would give this chili's -10 stars if I could. I try to avoid this chili's at all costs knowing the food is way below the standards of other CT chili's locations; however I was in a rush and needed to order food for pickup on my way home. After getting home I noticed that my order was not only wrong even though I specifically stressed what sides I wanted more than once, but that the ribs were the worst I've ever tasted in my 20 years. I had no time yet I was really determined to call and get my correct sides as I had waited all day to eat and at least wanted what I ordered. I was on hold with chili's for 45 min at my house. A chili's that is 10 minutes from my house kept me on hold for almost an hour when all I wanted was to stop by and get my correct sides. I actually walked into Waterbury chilis still on hold with the restaurant and the manager had no real reason for why they had not picked up my call from hold; they were not that busy, not to Mention there were employees standing around. The manager was not very apologetic but offered us chili's gift cards in 5$ amounts totaling our original order amount so I was a little less mad. Next week I went to Bristol chili's (the one I prefer) and went to pay with the gift cards, just to find out I waisted all my time and had been given gift cards with 0$ balance. Every single one. My experience with Waterbury chili's was by far the most ridiculous experience I've had at a chain restaurant. Who keeps someone on hold for an hour over THEIR mistake and who gives customers gift cards with 0$ balance to rectify THEIR mistake? Complete and udder waste of my time and complete waste of a building. Get this place out of business before more people eat their trash. We told the hostess we would be waiting at the bar. 40 minutes later we still did not have a table. When asked, the hostess said "oh I thought you were just going to order food at the bar." For my 34th birthday my 5 year old son suggested to my wife that we go to dinner at Chili's. Well, it wasn't my first choice but since my son wanted to go there, it looked like that's where we were eating. Now I we have eaten at this Chili's in the past and we knew that we weren't sitting down for a 5 star meal but its decent food for a decent price. My wife and I both order steaks and my son, the sliders. Well it was dinner as usual until my wife lets out a sharp cry, she opens her mouth and to all of our horror pulls a massive chunk of sharp metal from her now bleeding gum! Looks like a large staple from some packaging found its way into her meal! I immediately demanded that the waitress get the manager who was less than apologetic! He asked her if she would like them to make her a fresh plate (staple free as he jests). She refused and went hungry for the rest of the meal, losing her apatite all together. So I felt horrible because she wouldn't eat, she felt horrible that my birthday dinner was ruined, and my son was upset because he saw his mommy with a mouth full of blood. Well you would think that the manager would comp the meal and maybe offer a desert to make it right....nope! He only took her steak off the bill but still charged for the changing of her side. Very disappointed with the way the manager handled this! The staff is always nice, but usually my to go order is messed up in some way. About 2 weeks before this visit and review, I visited Chili's and low and behold my order was messed up. I calmly called and spoke to a manager (which I should have done about 3 visits ago), and he was going to send me a voucher in the mail to help with the trouble. I decided to use my voucher tonight, and I am so impressed! The employee who took care of my to go packed and labeled everything so I knew exactly what was in each container without even opening them, the food was super hot, and most importantly- the entire order was correct! Awful, awful, and terribly awful experience! It began with a 30 min wait time for my party of 6. This should've been the first clue. The hostess stated the restaurant was not prepared to handle the influx of customers because of several events going on in the City. We were coming from a high school dance production at the Palace. Our waitress was the only bright spot during the dining experience. Our entrees took up to 45 min to serve and our daughter's an additional 20 min!!!! Inexcusable!!! Food is yum, but our server was yummier. Great tattoos, beautiful green eyes, and not to mention the fantastic smile. He was very attentive and extremely personable. He clearly takes his job very seriously. I ordered the Texas cheese fries which were delicious. I also had the bacon ranch chicken quesadillas which were also very good. Last night, I went to Chili's for my daughter's birthday dinner. In total, there were 10 of us in the party, 6 adults and 4 children. After being seated we waited 10 minutes to be greeted by our waitress (found her name on a receipt- Chelsea). By then we figured we would just put in our orders. The appetizers were brought out (2 tableside guacamoles and chips & salsa). We were never given plates with our appetizers. So we had to eat and just make sure we didn't spill anything. Our food came out in batches. A family member order the sirloin steak but it was over-cooked. Her broccoli was over steamed and brown. We waited for our waitress to come back and the family member asked for a different entree. I order the steak fajitas and again didn't receive a plate so that I could put my fajitas together. Our waitress would take a while to get to our table. I was finally able to ask for a plate so that I could eat my food like a human being. The manager came over and apologized for the steak dinner and asked if we needed anything. Three of us needed refills and he was happy to do that. On his way over he spilled some on the table, the family member and her purse. No big deal we cleaned it up with some napkins, but our empty cups were never taken off the table. We also had to tell our waitress to removed the chips, salsa and guacamole in order to have some type of room on the table. A half hour before I was to leave I told our waitress that I needed to order to go. I ordered a sunrise burger. I also asked if we could sing happy birthday to my eldest daughter. Many of us had finished our meals and there were plates and cups everywhere. I would think that it would be cleaned up at some point but nope majority of it was still there when we left. They came out and sang happy birthday to my daughter and 2 of the children got the desserts they ordered. At this point, I asked for the check. The waitress split it 2 ways. Finally when she did take a dirty dish, she dropped something off the dish that was really close to hitting my aunt. She did not apologized and said "I just about saved you." Im sorry but you just about hit her and did not save her. An apology would have been appreciated. We get the check and I'm trying to calculate to pay so that I could leave as my husband had to go to work and we share one car. I had to get home so that he could leave to work. I ask the waitress about the bill since it was a bit confusing. I also asked for the to go order. She asked if it was on the receipt, I told her no I did not see it. She said she would look to see if she accidentally put it on a different tab. A few minutes later she came back and said she had forgotten to put in the order altogether. By this time I was supposed to have already left the restaurant 5 minutes ago. She asked if I wanted her to put it in. I told her that was no need to as I had to leave. She asked if we wanted the manager but I had no time to talk to a manager as I had to leave. I paid the bill and left no tip. My poor husband didn't have food to take with him to work and was late since I didn't get out of the restaurant until 15 minutes after I was supposed to. The service was terrible. If I would have had time to speak with a manager I would have but I didn't. I'm upset at the experience and was saddened that the dinner went terrible. I will be calling today to speak with a manager and possibly a district manager. I also will not te turning this this establishment! read more

I only really eat at "chain" restaurants if I can't think of anywhere else to go. This Chili's is nice, but I've been to nicer. Like somebody said before, its SUPER loud in there. And almost anything you order, is unhealthy. I looked up the calories for their salads one day (almost 900 calories for a salad?) I don't truly get how these numbers are possible, but if your on a diet, go somewhere else. I never have had a "bad" experience here, but the last time my boyfriend and I came here, the waitress was almost pushing food onto us and she just kept talking and talking about food I didn't want. I finally had to cut her off and just order because I felt like she wasn't going to stop. They do push the whole margarita thing on you, but I'm not a huge drinker so it doesn't bother me. The only thing I wish Chilis as a whole offered was more pasta dishes. They literally have one, and it's not that great. If you need a quick bite, it's definitely worth the stop but I will agree that the bathrooms are about as clean as a sewer drain. read more
