The shrimp in my Seafood enchiladas were cooked well but they didn't have that snap that really good shrimp have. Also, the seafood is on top of the enchiladas, and the flavors blend in with the cheese and the sauce. The enchiladas on their own is just cheese. The charro beans didn't taste Tex Mex enough, it was all sausage and like a ranch flavor My wife had the Presidente enchiladas. I tasted them and again all the flavor comes from the sauce on top. My mother in law's Cozumel Chicken Salad looked really pretty. I didn't take a bite though because that would've been weird. I like Gringo's and would come back to this location. We had good service and the restaurant was clean and well kept. I love that they offer red and green salsa, although their chips are a little thicker than I like. I told my family I wish I could throw Makayla, Aaron, and the million dollar potatoes into my suitcase and bring them all back home to California with me . Unfortunately, there are no First Watch locations in California, which honestly feels criminal at this point. We asked the hostess the same question when the aforementioned server never returned (and was clearly unwilling to step in to BE our server.) So. We left. Our exit was swift, and it's unknown if our absence was even noticeable. On a serious note, the food at Saltgrass has always been consistently great, but the declining customer service is definitely noticeable and disappointing. Management hasn't ever given warm fuzzy vibes, but it's a shame to see similar attitudes and demeanors spread throughout the staff, and manifest today in the form of neglect. These are extremely serious allegations, and a generic statement about respect and hospitality is not enough for me. Customers should never have to question whether their race could affect how they are treated--or worse, whether their food is safe. Until Texas Roadhouse demonstrates real accountability, transparency about what happened, and meaningful action against anyone involved, I'll be spending my money elsewhere.
