It was very disappointing. Half of our orders were cold and the dish that my daughter got was basically just a cup full of lime juice with onions and cilantro and shrimp and it was horrible and they would not exchange it for anything else. So is after $130 tab for dinner. Needless to say we will never return to this restaurant again as it had been one of our favorites for a long time but we are going to seek out another Mexican restaurant in the valley. Tried this place out yesterday after haven't being here for a quite awhile. Had the chili verde nachos and the carne asada quesadilla. The meat on the nachos was soft and able to pulled apart with just a fork. The chili verde had a decent flavor but nothing too exciting. The downfall of it all was the quesadilla being quite greasy. A while back I came in through the drive-through for lunch, I asked for a shrimp burrito, I had to repeat myself at least 3 to 4 times the speaker was not working very well so that's why I was guessing I had to repeat myself or the waitress on the other end was just deaf, so I had to repeating myself three or four times I went back to work in Visalia mind you when I opened up my car and I got a shredded beef burrito when I called to complain the girls said they would replace my burrito if I came down now I had to explain I was on lunch and I work in Visalia apparently there was nothing they could do, but if I came back at the end of the day they would make my shrimp burrito and I could pay half price!!! Worst experience ever. Ordered shredded chicken (marinated in red sauce) nachos with no sour cream and the sampler plate. We received the sampler plate and the fries were burnt, the chicken was freezer burnt, the jalapeño poppers were way over cooked and the nacho plate came out completely smothered in sour cream. Sent the nachos back as we specifically requested no sour cream and they were returned to us 15 minutes later with plain unseasoned chicken. When I addressed it with the waitress she was very argumentative and extremely rude. I got so fed up with the fact that she wanted to argue over what she brought out was NOT what I ordered that I told her to take it back and don't bother bringing out a replacement. The service at this restaurant is awful. I was seated and my order was taken and that was the last time I had an interaction with the server. He dropped of the food to the table and quickly left before I could even ask for anything else . I had asked another server for ranch and they never came back with it. I tried to reach out to any sever that walked by and was basically ignored. I wanted to order a desert but I couldn't even get ahold of anyone to order one. When I walked in, no one was wearing a mask (employees, customers, etc) even though we were in the red tier at the time and restaurants had just started opening back up and employees were supposed to be wearing masks still. As I continue my quest of Mexican restaurants in Tulare, I come across this gem of a place. I hadn't been here in years. As I enter I find that the whole place has just been remodeled. This place was just short of a home run. Like in baseball terms, the batter hit a deep fly ball which I as a fan got on my feet only to see the ball bounce off the outfield wall and having the runner advance to 3rd. The food here was great. I only had 2 problems with the whole experience. The shrimp dish I ordered was good the shrimp itself was just slightly overcooked. The waiter also brought my drink and my order, only to disappear only to bring my bill. Other than that it was a great experience. If you are looking for Mexican food, this is not the place. The outside patio is nice, however this restaurant has more of a sport's bar atmosphere than a Mexican one. The food is not very good quality and it is over priced. The most disappointing part was when I ordered a Paloma (it was on the menu)and the waitress didn't know what I was talking about.
