It was very disappointing. Half of our orders were cold and the dish that my daughter got was basically just a cup full of lime juice with onions and cilantro and shrimp and it was horrible and they would not exchange it for anything else. So is after $130 tab for dinner. Needless to say we will never return to this restaurant again as it had been one of our favorites for a long time but we are going to seek out another Mexican restaurant in the valley. Tried this place out yesterday after haven't being here for a quite awhile. Had the chili verde nachos and the carne asada quesadilla. The meat on the nachos was soft and able to pulled apart with just a fork. The chili verde had a decent flavor but nothing too exciting. The downfall of it all was the quesadilla being quite greasy. Not sure if it was because of the cheese they used or the asada meat itself. Definitely didn't make me think about coming by very soon. read more

Bland no taste. No salt even on the French fries. It's like fake Mexican food. Messed my stomach up. The only thing that was good was the rice and beans. The meat tasted weird. Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed what we had. I just had rice, beans and avocado slices so not much to say except it was good. A while back I came in through the drive-through for lunch, I asked for a shrimp burrito, I had to repeat myself at least 3 to 4 times the speaker was not working very well so that's why I was guessing I had to repeat myself or the waitress on the other end was just deaf, so I had to repeating myself three or four times I went back to work in Visalia mind you when I opened up my car and I got a shredded beef burrito when I called to complain the girls said they would replace my burrito if I came down now I had to explain I was on lunch and I work in Visalia apparently there was nothing they could do, but if I came back at the end of the day they would make my shrimp burrito and I could pay half price!!! HALF PRICE!!!! How am I supposed to pay for their mistake that was just ridiculous I will never be going back to Chilitos again read more

Was disappointed in the dishes I ordered, I wasn't to hungry so I just got the chili Relleno, my friends mother makes better authentic ones then the one I was serviced. I also got a side of guacamole and it had way to much onion in it. Besides the food the place was nice and the time we went wasn't busy. Great kids menu if you've got any. Worst experience ever. Ordered shredded chicken (marinated in red sauce) nachos with no sour cream and the sampler plate. We received the sampler plate and the fries were burnt, the chicken was freezer burnt, the jalapeño poppers were way over cooked and the nacho plate came out completely smothered in sour cream. Sent the nachos back as we specifically requested no sour cream and they were returned to us 15 minutes later with plain unseasoned chicken. When I addressed it with the waitress she was very argumentative and extremely rude. I got so fed up with the fact that she wanted to argue over what she brought out was NOT what I ordered that I told her to take it back and don't bother bringing out a replacement. The rest of the food tasted horrible. Would not recommend this restaurant if it were the last Mexican restaurant left in the world. I'd rather eat crappy Taco Bell. read more

The service at this restaurant is awful. I was seated and my order was taken and that was the last time I had an interaction with the server. He dropped of the food to the table and quickly left before I could even ask for anything else . I had asked another server for ranch and they never came back with it. I tried to reach out to any sever that walked by and was basically ignored. I wanted to order a desert but I couldn't even get ahold of anyone to order one. My usual Mexican restaurant was closed so I thought I'd give this place a try. When I walked in, no one was wearing a mask (employees, customers, etc) even though we were in the red tier at the time and restaurants had just started opening back up and employees were supposed to be wearing masks still. What I brought home pretty much went straight to the trash (after microwaving it to warm it up and hoped to kill germs). It was awful/ cheap food and costed WAY too much. read more

CHILITO'S never disappoints great food great service. Large portions of food, clean eating areas and very attentive staff. Through Covid they have been taking all precautions to keep customers safe and to provide great service. They have a drive through that I have never used but def great during the Covid 19 times. First off. The place was clean,which to me is a big plus. I came in at 2:45pm just before their lunch specials ended. I ordered the enchiladas combo. The rice was a bit bland.the enchiladas were ok. As I continue my quest of Mexican restaurants in Tulare, I come across this gem of a place. I hadn't been here in years. As I enter I find that the whole place has just been remodeled. This place was just short of a home run. Like in baseball terms, the batter hit a deep fly ball which I as a fan got on my feet only to see the ball bounce off the outfield wall and having the runner advance to 3rd. The food here was great. I only had 2 problems with the whole experience. The shrimp dish I ordered was good the shrimp itself was just slightly overcooked. The waiter also brought my drink and my order, only to disappear only to bring my bill. Other than that it was a great experience. At the beginning not only do you get chips and salsa you also get a bean dip. I will definitely go back. read more

If you are looking for Mexican food, this is not the place. The outside patio is nice, however this restaurant has more of a sport's bar atmosphere than a Mexican one. The food is not very good quality and it is over priced. The most disappointing part was when I ordered a Paloma (it was on the menu)and the waitress didn't know what I was talking about. I had to show her the menu and then when I finally got my drink...it was the worst Paloma I've had...very disappointing. I felt like I ate at a very fancy and over priced Taco Bell. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. It's so sad that the service here has gotten so bad. We waited for over an hour to get our food and when we finally did it was horrible! Our Sampler looked as if it was thrown together from scraps left over from other plates. Our waitress deliberately avoided our table and never came back. This place was soooo loud. It was like every table had at least one cackling drunk woman. This wasn't even on a weekend so I can imagine how hopping it is on those days. As for the service, it was very good and attentive. The food was hit and miss. Margarita was from a mix, the Nachos were old and cold and beans and rice were mediocre. Nor could we get away from it because the dining room is right next to the bar area. The music was so loud we could hardly talk at our table. Went inside with my family and it was nice inside, but the patio is beautiful and shady. Ordered a Strawberry margarita and it was pretty good. Finished it and ordered a mango, it was also good. That's when this restaurant start to come up short. Ordered a sampler platter $20.99, had chicken nuggets in there and fries, like cheap kid ones, not even the chicken breast ones. Never in my life have I ordered a Mexican sampler platter and it had chicken nuggets and fries. Order the white sause chile relleno and it was bland and so was the rice. Wife ordered house shrimp and it was ok, but all the food was lukewarm. My boy ordered carne asada fries and it was bland and old fries. I only gave an extra star because the patio and the margaritas, never again will go here again, sorry. 1 sampler 3 entrees, 2 margaritas, 1 beer and a soda was $95. read more
