Since we arrive on the premises there was a short line and it went through swiftly. The staff members of us right away if you wanted to taste any flavors whatever we required during the order. My friend got two skips ice cream on a waffle cone waffle cones are the best. They also have my favorite flavor birthday cake ice cream with hands down that is the best flavor. Ended the night with dessert and couldn't have picked better spot. Chill Bros Ice Cream is new at AW it seems . Its house made vegan ice cream with oat milk, coconut cream, tapioca, salt and pure cane sugar and you can taste the difference. One scoop was more than enough and they were happy to accommodate a half-and-half flavor option. For around $7, it's an excellent deal. I got the half Café Du Nola and half toasted coconut macaroon 10/5 it has real, fresh coconut in it and is hands-down one of the best ice creams I've had in a long time., flavorful, and not overly sweet. I'm still craving it at midnight while writing this review. The pomegranate prosecco sorbetto was also a winner .,,super fresh, light, and flavorful without being too sweet. The reason for four stars instead of five was the checkout experience. The cashier seemed a bit overwhelmed, and the process took longer than expected for a small order She wasn't very friendly (possibly just exhausted, which happens) We only had three ice creams, and with a limited menu of about 8-10 flavors which can be easily memorized, it took a long time to ring everything up, with multiple questions about each item while the ice cream sat there melting. At that point, you're just ready to pay and enjoy your dessert, and the process could definitely be more streamlined. That said, the product itself is excellent, and I'd absolutely come back...hopefully with a smoother checkout next time. read more

Limited amount of flavors due to being small batch- just got plain vanilla and when I think of vanilla ice cream, this is exactly what I imagine. It's crowded in armature works so expect a line around dinner time. Simple and can't go wrong with ice cream. read more

I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but if I'm ever craving it, I need Chill Bros! Their ice cream is so creamy and their flavors are unique. I got one scoop (half scoop of 2 different flavors). I tried Milk and Cookies (definitely my favorite) and Thunder Crunch. Not only do they have the best ice cream, but they also have these amazing chocolate chip cookies. They're nice and big and flaked with sea salt. 10/10 read more

My first thing I ate on my trip to Armature Works on Friday! I think I more than earned it being that I walked there from the Twiggs Parking Lot, ammirght? At any rate, Chill Bros serves up some incredibly creamy ice cream with some pretty unusual flavors. Whenever I got to an ice cream place, I always try to get something rare, but when I see a pretty common flavor...well, sometimes you just gotta have it, so I made a compromise this time. I got a two-scoop cup, one scoop of cafe con leche featuring Buddy Brew Coffee, one scoop of Macadamia Nut. I thought it was a good contrast and complement to each other, and plus I just love macadamia nut. Well, the flavor definitely shown in the cream part and I just loved the chunks of macadamia that were present throughout. Not sure if it's seasonal or a permanent item, but I can tell it's a favorite of mine for sure! And of course, I gotta have my coffee ice cream. Great full body of coffee with chocolate chips spread generously throughout. The creamy texture REALLY hit the spot. I love the little cone chip on top that I more or less scooped the ice cream with. I love ice cream, and I love Chill Bros ice cream. The Brownie ice cream my wife got was great, but nothing could beat the cafe con leche, with Buddy Brew coffee, it was fantastic. Grab bowl or cone, go sit by the Hillsborough River and have the best end to a date night possible. The staff was great, and the have real metal spoons to serve little tastes, seriously, real metal spoons. Guarantee I will be getting a scoop of cafe con leche anytime I am at Armature Works. All of the servers I've experienced are very friendly. They have many different kinds of tea also, but I haven't tried any yet. They all look really tasty and you can add different toppings to customize your tea. The egg rolls are a favorite for me and my husband- they're so delicious & crispy. We order it with siracha & soy sauce instead of the sauce it comes with- simply just a personal preference. I usually get the Spicy Tuna Avocado salad but they don't always have it. (which I'm ok with because they make sure the tuna is fresh) I have gotten the shrimp and mushroom rice platter before and it is very tasty as well. My husband loves their Bahn Mi sandwiches- he tries a different one every time and always is very satisfied! If you are in downtown Tampa, I would suggest you definitely check out Fusion Bowl. Many different options and very fresh and delicious.

I stopped by Chill Bros Scoop Shop and it was an awesome experience from start to finish. The place has a fun, laid back vibe and you can tell they take their ice cream seriously. It was tasty. I went with the Oreo ice cream and it absolutely delivered. Super creamy, packed with chunks, and just the right balance of sweet without being too much. Every bite hit. This ice cream shop is a gem! The ice cream is delicious, and the waffles are equally impressive. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. While I don't have much to add, I'd definitely stop by for ice cream if I'm nearby. Compared to other places I've tried with much higher ratings, this shop stands out as far superior.
