Came here for lunch. They offered a set lunch special where you can pick a main and soup. I ordered the fried fish and spicy tofu soup. The fish was nice and crispy however towards the belly there was a bitter taste probably from how close it is to where the internal organs are. The tofu soup was amazing especially with the brown/purple rice they provided. Generous amounts of mini clams and tofu. I love the mini dishes provided - nice little snacks to change up the taste of the main course Service staff was quick and attentive. Will definitely come back for more

Honestly this place was crazy busy. Ambiance was fine. Kinda felt like a normal kbbq joint. The kalbi was nice and tender. Good marble. I like a charcoal grill. Side dishes were a no. Not good. Kimchi was pretty good. But everything else was lacking. Noodles were both good. Very refreshing. Good flavor

Came here for their lunch specials. I particularly enjoyed the salmon teriyaki box while my mom had the croaker fish and daeng jang soup combo. The ban chan was decent but nothing amazing. See for yourself in the photos! There is parking in the back but gets full if you go during peak lunch time.

Used to love this place, come very often. The service used to be good, but maybe it just that one waitress ruining for all. The beef was overcooked too.

Good ole KBBQ over charcoal. I highly recommend this place. They speak English if needed. They are quick and have lunch specials too but I came for the BBq which was decadent. The meat is well marinated and so tasty. There was also a nice variety of bon chon too.

Came here with a group of friends. The restaurant is pretty big with lots of tables. It wasnt that busy when we went but if all the tables were filled i wonder how smokey the place would get. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and meats. Everything was delicious but a bit on the pricey side. We thought the galbi was the best meat they had. We would probably skip the steak next time. Our server was super friendly and really attentive to us she cooked all the meat for us as well. Nothing was over cooked and burnt. Would definitely come back with my friends

How have I not been here before?! I'd give this place more stars if I could. The aroma of the grills and the huge dining room area with its mini compartment type seating, allows for more privacy in a large space. So that means each table is separated by a high partition allowing you your own dining space and not being on top of one another. To the right as I walk in, glassware and cute plushies that act as decoration, welcomes you along with a greeter. Premium meats hang on display and the super nice staff brings you to your seat. The menu boasts group platters and shareable premium cuts. This visit I was here for lunch but my foodie buddy suggested skipping the lunch specials and going full on orders of meat. She's the best! We ordered the rib eye and pork belly. Also ordered the Jap Chae and scallion pajeon (pancakes) as our carb side. The ban chan just kept coming out, one after the other. No wonder she ordered this way. There was so much food and only two of us to eat it all. (Note: you can't wrap the ban chan to go, not allowed. So don't try). We ordered both meats non-marinated on purpose. We are purists, like it as is. You can dip it later into the awesome garlic oil and salt based soy later when you wrap your meat in the leafy greens. Fantastic service and excellent food. My favorite freebie was the steamed egg. So reminds me of home. Kimchi of course and the variety of spicy veggies on the table. I like how they make sure you're eating veggies. Makes sense given the protein heavy menu. There's parking!! I was so used to passing by on foot, I didn't realize the entire block of businesses use a shared parking lot. This will definitely be a new go to spot for me.

    Generous amount of banchan!

It was so crispy and delicious, had an amazing crunch. Secondly, we got the beef stirfry with egg and rice(my brother finished it.) Their purple rice is actually very unique as they added chickpeas to it. Additionally, we also got some seafood rice cake and pork belly hot plate with onions. This dish was quite possibly the worst because there weren't many pieces of meat. Anywho, the ambiance was warm and inviting. As for the price, I did find it a little too steep. A classic staple that you've probably heard about but never actually got the chance to try it…read more Chicken Lovers is always busy. It's a place that you definitely need to plan ahead just to place an order. But if you have the time and patience to wait, go for it! We walked in around 1:20pm and were quoted an hour long wait. It actually took around an hour & a half to get the food. They don't always pick up the phone or allow online ordering, so if you're in the area, walking in is probably the best bet. The lunch specials are sooo worth it. We got one of each, 1/2 chicken + 1/4 ribs, sides: rice, cucumber salad, mac & cheese, and corn. The amount of food they give you is insane. How is that 1/4 of ribs?! Both the chicken and ribs were tender, juicy, and just fell apart. The green sauce of course is perfection. It's zesty, spicy, and herby- the perfect pairing to the savory meats. Plan ahead if you want to eat here!

In the morning after stopping by the Resort World New York by car, CL seems to be within reach and we seized the opportunity! We arrived at 11:25 AM shortly after it opened. Only two people in front of us and we finished placing the order by 11:30 AM. We were told there would be a 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait before the order could be ready. So, we lounged at the nearby Starbucks for an hour before returning -- a highly recommended option! After 1.5 hours, I asked for my name. Nothing. 1 hour 45 min, nothing. 2 hours, nothing. We thought this was ridiculous and confronted the ordering counter. Alas, they realized our "receipt" was lost. They promised to fulfill it right away; however, the next batch of ribs wouldn't be for another 20 minutes! It's turned out to be a total nightmare - 2.5 hours of waiting, with the 104° record heat to boot. I was plotting to slaughter the review as I waited; fortunately, the guy at the ordering counter knew how to make it right by giving us additional portion of proteins. So was the food worth it? Not with that amount of waiting but it was good. The dark chicken meat was moist and tasty. Chicken breasts were customarily dry, but the magical green sauce more than compensated for the dryness. That green sauce made this whole meal stand out for sure. It had massive amount of cilantro and garlic as far as I could tell. I'd like to think of it as Asian pesto. Although it's a "chicken" joint, everyone in my party unanimously preferred the ribs - uniformly tender and easier to eat. Oh, remember to grab some plastic gloves on your way out!

The service was decent, but the food just didn't deliver. At dinner, the salt and pepper pork chops were thin, over-fried, dry, and lacked flavor. The black pepper steak was smothered in sauce, and the beef texture suggested it had been overly tenderized. The BBQ duck was especially disappointing -- it tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave. Overall, the dishes lacked seasoning, depth of flavor, and that smoky wok hei you expect from good Cantonese cooking. Lunch was slightly better, but still inconsistent. The congee itself was good, though the dried squid was so tough it felt like chewing on rubber. The steamed rice rolls with peanut sauce were another letdown; instead of being freshly steamed, the noodles seemed microwaved, making them firm and dry rather than soft and chewy. I also ordered a fish and tofu dish covered in brown sauce, but it was completely bland. I really wanted to like this place, especially after giving it multiple chances, but unfortunately the third time was not the charm.
