    Mix Combo B for 2
    Sharon L.

Relatively new KBBQ replacing Jeong Yook, but the service here is UNMATCHED. The host & staff were all incredibly kind and attentive, and service was really well paced unlike most other KBBQ spots. We never felt rushed even though they were busy. It was a bit drafty at the table closest to the doors, but the host was super accommodating and willing to switch our table. He also provided us with some hot tea while we waited - so considerate! We decided on the Mixed Combo B for 2, which comes with pork belly, pork shoulder, brisket, and marinated short ribs. All of the meats are really good. I'm not the biggest fan of pork shoulder, but this was good here! Kimchi stew always hits different at BBQ spots, and Golden Pig's is delicious. We ordered an extra to go! They don't have a takeout menu yet, but the staff was kind enough to pack us some kimchi and rice anyway. Banchan here is simple but done really well. All orders are put in on the tablet at each table. While the layout of the restaurant is still very much similar to Jeong Yook and Baekjeong previously, it's definitely an upgrade. Ventilatation is pretty good but be prepared to still smell a bit after. Prices are super reasonable. Parking is doable but not always the easiest. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Came here late night around 11pm as a group of 8. They had plenty of seating around this time and we got seated immediately. Tables were clean and I loved how the chairs can open up and you can put your things inside. We ordered seafood pancake, japchae, combo C Wagyu beef, pork jowl meat, army stew, and fried mushroom with sweet and sour sauce. The combo came with steamed egg and your choice of Kimchi stew/soybean paste stew. I have to say everything was delicious, quality was amazing you can see the nice marbling on their meats! Sometimes when I go to a kbbq, some meats are just meh and tough to eat. But everything was so good. My favorite meat was the marinated short rib. The servers cooked for us and asked us how done we liked our meat and they constantly refilled our kimchi and side salads as well. They provided hot tea and cold water for us too which were stored in really nice carafes. Little small details in this place just elevated the experience for me. I would definitely come back! I think price was very reasonable for a kbbq place as well!

Been anticipating this spot to open as it's been in construction for a while. We got the Combo A 1 and it's worth. Enough to feed 2 with stew and steamed egg, and plenty of sides to eat the meat with. The beef is too quality. They know how to cook it, hot hot pan, quick sear, and that's it. Perfection. And that's how it should. Nothing was dry, nice and fatty and juicy. And the service is top notch. Everyone's so nice. One of the best hospitality I've experienced in a while. Constant refills, did all the cooking, and more and more kimchi. This place is pretty bomb and will come back again. Especially for their alcohol combo sets.

WOW!!! Great place at northern!!!! If you're craving for a nice vibe kbbq, this is a great place for it. This is a newly opened kbbq but interior is realllllly nice and food is nicely priced. Food itself is also really good and service is great! They saw us making a someak (beer and soju) wrong and offered to do our next one lol, which he did and it was a lot better! They also seem to always have a little scratch card per table so that's always a fun plus too! Definitely will come back. Hopefully not too much cuz my wallet and calories lol

It's a good Korean BBQ spot with a fun ambiance and attentive staff. We shared the Galbi, pork belly and ribeye. The one downside is there is barely any banchan.

5 Stars across the board! Best kimchi I've ever had hands down. I was blown away by the quality of the meat. We had a pork combo and beef combo, came with small but satisfying portions of soups on the side. Have I mentioned best kimchi I've ever had? Which is crazy, because I've had kimchi god knows how many times from god knows how many Korean restaurants for the past 2 decades. Service was also phenomenal! All the servers were so kind, attentive and friendly. Great music, chill atmosphere- I mean, need I say more?? This new spot is officially OUR new spot and I 100% recommend! Thank you for everything!

Our second time there. Another fantastic meal. Meat was fresh, we also ordered the beef tartar. It came out frozen. Not sure if that is the way it's supposed to served but it was very delicious. We did lethalf of it thaw out. Service was great as usual. The server cooked everything for us perfectly. Definitely great addition to all other kbbq in Flushing.

Every time we go to a Korean Bbq place we think that's it.. we've found the best.. but this place was really great. Good food, excellent service.. our waiter was great... We got the beef set for 3 even though it was just the 2 of us. I was so full. I'm not a huge fan of kimchi but it seriously was the best we have ever had. It tasted really fresh, not too strong..the sides are pretty good too. L loved the salad. We also tried their soju drinks in every flavor except the yogurt one since it wasn't available at the time. It was surprisingly strong and I have drank a ton of soju years ago.. The stew was great with rice. Loved the steam egg as well. Refills were quick. But seriously our server was the best. We've been to almost all the expensive Korean bbq spots in the city...most places continue to cook the meat even if you're not done eating with one meat.. and some places just let it sit in the bowl and the meat just gets cold. Our server let us eat and then continued cooking .. but the cooked meat sits just above the heat so it stayed warm but didn't get overcooked. Just really thoughtful, this restaurant although not cheap ..gave us a great experience. . He explained which meats everything were, even asked which ones we wanted first. The meat was really good quality, not as soft as the Wagyu we had in the city but still pretty good.. We also ordered a seafood pancake just to try when it wasn't necessary since we had so much food. We only tried a piece but took the rest home. A good amount of seafood, lil too dense. Again pricier than places around the area but better quality meat. We really enjoyed everything here. I would definitely come back...

This place have a very nice casual and fun ambiance. The staffs were all very nice and attentive. They grilled the meat for us but it doesn't feel rushed compared to some BBQ places I've been to. The meat were very tender and fresh. This set came with steam egg and a choice of a stew with the meat and rice and vege sides so it was satisfying for 2 people as they advertised. I do think the soybean stew can have a little more flavor but the main character is the beef so I didn't mind. There seems to have a lot of other combos with alcohol options so def want to come back to try those. They were doing the gold bar promo if you put a review for first 1k customers, which is very fun~ better come earlier to try your luck too.

I will preface this review by saying that I was a huge fan of Jeong Yook and was devastated when I closed. My husband and I were cautiously optimistic to hear that Golden Pig was opening in its place and were eager to check it out. We finally made it there for dinner and were immediately struck with how bright and spacious it felt, and we were greeted very warmly by the staff. I like that they upgraded the seating/tables and now have chairs with storage for your coats and bags. It made the experience very comfortable. Like many restaurants in the area, Golden Pig has tablets at each table for ordering, but the servers still interact with you and will ask and answer questions. They also grill all of the meat and swap out the grills in between meat selections, which certain places don't. That being said, they provide very limited banchans (only kimchi, fish cake with bell peppers, pickled jalapeños and onions, and seasoned scallions mixed with bean sprouts). No complimentary egg jjim, cheese corn, etc. You have to pay for those individually. They will bring you Ssam and will also provide raw garlic and jalapeños upon request. In terms of the meat, the pork belly was decent, but the marinade galbi was very thin and the portion seems small (it's not the larger slab of galbi that many other places serve--more like thin, boneless LA galbi). The ribeye was chewy and had quite a bit of gristle. The beef cuts are listed as being wagyu, but having experienced my fair share of wagyu in my life (Japanese A5 and American, as well as high-end Korean hanwoo beef), the beef at Golden Pig is not wagyu. At least not what we ordered à la carte. I would like to see this place improve and succeed, because it has potential, and I think the staff members are all really great. I would love to see better cuts of meat and more of a banchan spread though.

Service was excellent , place is clean. Price was fair and the meat was fresh . I usually will have bbq smell on my clothes after Korean bbq , but this place's ventation is good, so i was happy with the setting. We had the pork , wagyu beef, seafood pancake, japchae and steam egg. Seafood pancake barely have any seafood there, steam egg does not have that "silky" texture that i was expected, it feels overcooked a little bit, japchae was delicious. In general this place is a good place to go for Korean bbq.

One of the best KBBQ I had, pork was grilled perfectly. Side dishes were well portioned. Service was the best thing out of this place. If you can ask for Derek he made the experience so much better! If you are tired of AYCE and looking for a higher tier on meat on a grill this is the best place. Also the best thing with KBBQ is a Terra on the side and they do offer it so definitely recommend it!

Since our program covered the expenses, we didn't pay anything out of pocket. Now I enjoy a good BBQ cookout at home as much as the next family, but don't care for it as a dining experience. My employer catered BBQ luncheons from time to time, and even then I wasn't crazy about it. Here in Hill Country, a room was reserved for us (party of 36). Our dinnerware resembled army mess tins lined with sanitary papers; our glasses resembled moonshine jars complete with screw threads at the rim for lids. Our dinner was a catered set of longhorn cheddar mac & cheese (quite good), sliced brisket (meh), market chicken (a little tough), fresh baked cornbread (dry & hard) and collard greens (good but could be saltier). I consumed massive amounts of mac & cheese and collared greens to help swallow down the almost rock-hard cornbread. Desert was chocolate chip cookies (that wasn't bad). Some members of the group ordered liquor (at their own expense) to celebrate the good time they were having. Customer service was less than stellar. The waitress did not inform us that soft drinks were complimentary until after we finished eating. That wasn't all. The restroom was located downstairs past the bar room. During my two visits - before and after the food was served - the same staff member was there cleaning. He had just finished the sinks when I went in the first time. On the second visit, the front door was blocked from the inside by a pail - he was mopping the floor. Couldn't he have waited till the off-peak hours to do that?? Customer service and cornbread were enough for me to not recommend this restaurant.
