do not use this company. I had them come and look at my gas fireplace said I needed a new blower. quoted me 1907$ for new blower cleaning remote and option to have them come and clean with chemicals. I do not have a chimney . took weeks to get new fan/blower they finally came very much in a hurry the installer. never told me how to turn off fireplace. very hard to get a hold of company. had another company come and check my fireplace (Glowing Hearth and Home) excellent company. told me they installed the wrong blower hence why it sounded like a car running! new company was awesome they cleaned gave me a remote and blower for only 500+$. again do not use Chimcare!!! owner is very rude and told me they did correct . would not refund my money of 572$. Chimcare came out to my house with a BIG RED FLAG. The red flag is that the vehicle that they used had no ladders. Right away the guy try to sell me a $2000.00 flashing job and said all kids of things about my flashing without really looking at it. I told him "No" on the flashing. Then he went on to say that he did not have all of his equipment. He was supposed to call me with in a hour to see if the equipment was available. Chimcare ghosted on me. read more

zero stars. this company is crooked and fraudulent. reading the other reviews, they're doing the same thing over and over to people by recommending services and grossly overpricing them. the cleaning I called them for wasn't even done until I made the technician wipe down the cover of the gas fireplace. Then he didn't know how to put the covering back on and just left a heavy metal covering leaning on my fireplace unsecured, and I have little kids at home. when we called management they told us they did a service of costing the inside of our chimney with a special sealant, which they never did, to justify the cost. in follow up for the before and after pics they mentioned they had, they never provided. they charged me $1100 to put basic roof tar on a 12" piece of flashing. avoid this company. no knowledge, didnt complete the basic service, overcharging, lying, and leaving material unsafe in the house. read more

Daniel arrived on time and promptly started with his inspection. He was very knowledgable and took the time to explain to my husband what he was doing. He also told my husband what he should be looking for to make sure we safely enjoy fires in our fireplace. What we really appreciate and value is an honest business. Wish I could leave zero stars.. Called because of a gas fireplace that was not working. The technician arrived late, which is acceptable as these folks are busy. But once he arrived, he spent a half hour conferring with someone, likely a coworker. After a half hour of doing little to nothing, he recommended that the unit be replaced as it was old and beyond repair. There was no follow through as to what was wrong, nor was there follow up after repeated calls to inquire as to what was actually wrong. The fees were disclosed up front, however that was for a full cleaning and inspection, none of which actually occurred. So $500+ dollars for essentially absolutely nothing. I called a local fireplace shop, and after assessing and ordering parts, was able to repair the unit for just a bit more than I was charged for essentially nothing. So I made an appointment for a straightforward inspection of my wood burning fireplace. I didn't catch the name of the technicians, but they showed up an hour early than our appointment window so they ended up chatting with my elderly mom at home. They called us after the inspection to let us know the results and they started going off on a list of all these things we needed to fix up in a way that genuinely felt like they were making things up on the spot that amounted to $1200, so we politely declined a cleaning to consider. And then they started haggling the price down which felt a little under board... We finally got them to leave, but they convinced my mom to give them the security code and number on her credit card for payment for a payment on their ipad. That felt odd. Scheduled a chimney inspection after recognizing some brick had fallen off. I scheduled initial inspection, Adrian came out on time, and showed me all my chimney flaws. He recommended a full chimney repair and he throws in a free chimey inspection and sweep on my other chimney-cool. I got that scheduled with Stephanie for November. Per policy, Chimcare wants 50% deposit before project begins, no problem, I call Stephanie say hey on my way to drop off my deposit is anyone in the office. She states yah, Darryl is there and he can take your check. I pull up see a chimcare van,door is locked, lights are off, and no one is answering my door knock. I call Stephanie tell her no Darryl. She states oh he must be in a meeting let me call you back, she promptly returns phone call, he is out just place your $1500 check under the door mat. Oh ok...can I get a phone call when Daryl receives the check, and a email also? She replies yes. No phone call, I had to call the next day to confirm if the check was received, and ask again for a email receipt. Jump to day repair begins....no one shows up, no phone call....nothing. I call they reschedule for two weeks out again no one shows up, and no phone call...nothing I call again I am told they are running behind on work scheduled before me and since Christmas is coming they will probably get to me in January. Now scheduled for January 19-20 8:00-9:00 am start time... and guess what no show and no call. I called them was told they are cleaning up last sight will be there at 12:00 pm. Again no show no call. I call again and I am told he is getting the brick for your job he will be there a 2:30, let me call and confirm with driver can I call you back? yes you can, did they..nope, and they did not show up either. They do show up on the 20th work till 5:00. I am shocked as I watch them stick there ladder right in my wife's plant. The work they did looks great. I am told it's Sunday and they can't get the chimney cap on today because it is at the office. ok. Week later chimney cap is installer comes ,nice man did good work, except he had no idea about the chimney sweep and inspection. As he is prepping to sweep is he does not enter the house for 10 mins. Where did he go? He is on my front porch taking a personal phone call about his car maintenance. We recently bought a house with two fireplaces and had no idea of the condition of either. We arranged for an inspection and cleaning, knowing that further care would most likely be needed. Geoff arrived on time and after a quick inspection, told us that neither fireplace needed a cleaning, as they were both in good condition. He only charged us for an inspection and for caps that were needed to prevent rain leakage we had noticed during the last thunderstorm. While the caps were a bit pricey, we appreciated Geoff's integrity and honesty about the cleanings. Hands down one of the best interactions I have had with any home repair company. We had Andrew out to look at an old chimney in a house we had just purchased. Not only did he do a thorough inspection and video inspection he also spent a tremendous amount of time explaining everything about chimneys. Disappointed. Flashing replacement looks like a DIY project. After pressure washing and sealing, the outside of the chimney looked exactly the same as it did before. The initial consult and inspection made it sound like we would be getting a clean and functional chimney. We ran into a scheduling conflict, and asked to move our appointment. The assigned worker said it wouldn't be a problem, and that he would be to the house at 12:30. He did not show up....at all. We called him a few hours later and he informed us he wouldn't make it that day and that I would have to call Harold to reschedule. I called Harold and said I just need the work to be done, to which HAROLD replied "YOU and everyone else with a chimney." When the work was finally done, I wasn't notified that they were going to come to the house. I was told multiple times I didn't need to be there for them to do the work, but I wanted to be. And that should be up to me, it's my house and my money. From top to bottom they were dishonest. I felt like they didn't care about a smaller job, as the service technician literally said he had other jobs to do before he got to mine. I emailed Chimcare and received no reply.
