Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. Chicken was well cooked and vegetables tasted great.

Ordered takeout. Food was prepared within 10 minutes. Pick up at the restaurant was easy with the curbside parking provided for takeout. Staff were courteous and greeted me upon arrival. Food was delicious. We ordered Chins spicy chicken and chicken pad Thai. Inside of restaurant was very nice. I look forward to the next time. We will come back again for dine in dinner.

I was hesitant to dine here with my latest experiences of Asian cuisine in the Beaufort/Bluffton area, but I'm so glad we did. I took another reviewer's advice and stuck with the Chinese menu: crab and cream cheese wontons, Mongolian beef, honey walnut shrimp, and orange chicken-- all with steamed rice. Everything was absolutely delicious and diligently prepared. I appreciate how the shrimp wasn't smothered in the sweet mayo sauce, how tender the chicken and beef were, and the garnishes that perfectly complimented each dish. Despite being short-staffed, they were all very attentive and communicative, even with so many people coming in and out to pick up to-go orders. I only gave it four stars due to only visiting once, but I will update my review once I've tried more dishes.

I had wonton soup, egg rolls and mushroom chicken. All the food tasted like a salt lick. Service was terrible.

Never asked again. Then I asked for a glass of water and she didn't say a word. Just turned around and got it. Brought it back and just sat it down and walked away. We ordered two sushi rolls and she didn't bring utensils to eat it with. I had to find them for us. Then my wife wanted a little bowl for soy sauce. I had to go find it because our server was no where to be found. She had an attitude about anything we asked for. I'm not joking when I say it was the worst service I've ever had. Needless to say the tip wasn't what it should have been or could have been. Now the food? Awesome! I had the hot sand sour soup (one of the best I've ever had), we had two different sushi rolls. One was the Akomeyea roll and the other was some tuna roll I didn't eat. The chicken low mien was very good and plenty of it. I gave it 3 stars because the food was very good. If we ever decide to get dinner here again it would definitely be to go. No way would I eat in the restaurant again with service like that and as empty as the place was. I get why it was like that if all the service is like that.

My husband especially enjoys the sushi--it's fresh, nicely presented, and has been consistently good. The gyoza is also decent: crispy on the outside, flavorful on the inside. And the noodle dish I've had several times is good. That said, our more recent visits have been disappointing overall. I ordered the pho tonight, and while it had a ton of noodles, the broth was almost completely lacking in flavor and there was barely enough of it to call it soup. Pho should be rich and aromatic, and this just didn't hit the mark. Took a few bites and called it. I've also had issues with the chicken in other dishes--it has a very odd, almost rubbery texture that makes it hard to enjoy. We've tried the bento boxes too, and while they look appealing, the meat isn't cooked in the sauce--it's just spooned on top, which leaves the dish feeling disjointed and almost like a microwave dinner feel. Service is another area where the experience falls short. Even when the restaurant isn't busy, the staff tends to be distracted and not very attentive. They're not unfriendly, just not especially engaged or warm, which affects the overall atmosphere. There are definitely some highlights on the menu, and I still think this place has potential if they can improve the consistency and refine the service. For now, Sakyura is a hit-or-miss experience--but we're still hoping it turns into the neighborhood gem we were excited about in the beginning.
