The workers were nice, but the food wasn't not as nearly good as the service. I won't forget to mention that bathrooms were very dirty/disappointing. They have a sign not to even throw toilet paper in the toilets. The bathroom doors do not lock. I felt very uncomfortable with that. The food tasted "chewy" I seen a lady pour steaming water over the food?? Or under the food tray for the food to keep it warm enough. There was only 2 family groups in the dining area and it was over all a horrible experience. My boyfriend accidentally spilled water on my seat and it was a sign to me that I shouldn't sit back down I should leave.. so we did just that . Warn your family & friends. We had an overpriced dinner $59 buffet for three for cold, chewy, old tasting not very good food. My wife and my friend only ate 1/2 of what they took and they didn't take much. They bought thought what items they took were mostly disgusting for a multitude of reasons. I am very limited in what I can eat so I took less than normal and my experience was slightly better but I ate limited amounts of shrimp and a couple other items hard to be bad, but only few dollars worth at best. Even the fortune cookies were grossly stale. I mention to them when I checked out that we found the food poor and they seemed quite indifferent, Maybe it was because it was 7:30 Friday.Night? Friendly owners. Came in here with a coworker for a quick lunch. They say us down right away! 2 Plates and im already full to the brim. Recommend the mushrooms, chicken and their fried wontons were great. Egg drop soup was delicious. Place didnt seem as presentable, but due to the nature of things, id imagine its hard on their business right now ever since covid. This is one of the worse restaurants I have ever went to, should have known when we saw nobody in there. Site states Hibachi, it was closed, really, food on steamers COLD, no lettuce for salad bar, my grandchild had grabbed sushi and crab legs so I had to pay for his meal. You walk in the door Its just ok, nothing to look at. They bring you water. You go up to the buffet, and OH MY GOSH! There was almost no food, on the buffet and its defiantly been there since lunch. A third of the trays on the steam line were all but empty. Some foods were hard and crusty, others were waterlogged so bad they were not edible. I asked where is the sushi, she said it will be out in a little more than ten minutes. When I asked when they were bringing fresh food out the guy acted like he didnt understand me and they never while I was there brought any fresh food out. I asked when the Hibachi grill opens she said not open anymore not for long time. It was disgraceful 15 minutes later some Shushi was brought out by a child. My husband and I ate at this restaurant now and they would not bring out fresh food. There sushi had been sitting out for a while and they wouldn't bring out any fresh sushi.. it's says all you can eat crab legs but they bought out less then a pound every hour. We having been sitting here waiting they they refuse to bring out any more. They actually brought us our check and we were not even done eating...we asked the waitress would they be bringing out more and she shrugged her shoulder as if she didn't know. Food was average at best for a buffet. Food overpriced for quality. Tea was watered down with tea bags from Walmart. Service was very poor ! No prices were displayed anywhere. Charged an additional 4% for using our credit card. Would not recommend. Two star rating is being generous. read more

Me and my girlfriend have been going here for the past few months and have loved every single trip. The sushi is always fresh, the food is always flavorful, and the staff is astounding. The only good things here: friendly wait staff, hot tea, and no wait to be seated. Hibachi is in site, however waaaaaaaaaay to much butter poured into the dish. Food here is low quality and very unsatisfying. One of the worst in the Grand Rapids area. read more

Food has improved since my last visit. I haven't gone since we moved, but tonight was a great experience. Some of the food had probably been sitting out for awhile, but all the food that was brought out fresh was amazing. Sushi was surprisingly good, the nori wasn't chewy, and the salmon tasted fresh. I tried as much as I could, because I was excited about some of the new options. The beef has improved a lot, it tasted like a good steak and wasn't chewy like it had been previously. The egg rolls were almost as good as the ones I make at home, they were a little bland but not oily. I was disappointed with the crab Rangoon, but it didn't seem very fresh. Service was also great, and the price for dinner was good. We went in late, but they kept bringing out fresh food even when it was only a half hour until close, so that was reassuring. I didn't get sick, either! That's always a bonus. Bathroom is still amazingly clean and well kept, and the ice cream was exactly what I needed at the end of the meal. read more

We used to go here often however it has slowly gotten worse and worse. The last time we visited (sometime mid-2019), the person doing Hibachi used the same plate the raw meat was on to put the cooked food on. This is a very dangerous food practice. I told the server and she just took my plate and said nothing else. Needless to say, we will never go back. read more

My fiance and I had lunch here over the weekend. It was very quiet, but very welcoming. The staff was friendly and prompt with drink orders and table clean up. We are both vegetarian, so it is difficult to find something to eat at many restaurants, but I was impressed by their selections. Although they had a lot of meat, they also had a good variety of non meats. We each had 3-4 plates a piece including dessert. I would definitely recommend going here. The food is disgusting, the dining room is dirty and when a employee lifted one of the chaffing dishes out of the buffet a horrible smell began to rise from the water underneath. Where do I start. I am from this area, but now live in the other side of the state where we have a fairly big Chinese community. I get dim sum every other week that is fresh and well made. So I have a little bit of a higher expectation when I'm dining out. Well, we were greeted and seated very quickly. That was the best part. I tried a variety of things. The food, meh. It was like everything was precooked and just reheated, then sitting,under heat lamps getting more rubbery. I had some sesame chicken. It was cold. The egg drop soup was very thick without much egg. The egg rolls just tasted off. I took one bite and left the rest. The pork dim sum was cold and rubbery. Gross. The crab rangoon was oily and lacked flavor. The fresh fruit was the best part. I had some oranges, but the cantaloupe tasted like it had been store too close to come other food. Like some other reviewer said, this just proves that the people of Grandville will eat anything. I was shocked with how busy they were at noon on a Wednesday. I would never have gone here but my dad likes it and he had a coupon. I certainly will not be back, but I'm sure my dad will. I just don't think it's worth it. I'm sure there are better places within a 15 min drive. I feel I was generous with the 2 stars. They only got this because the staff was friendly. I'm on the fence with this place. Today I had a crazy craving for Chinese so I Googled places near my work and this one came up. I ran over on my lunch break to check it out. This restaurant is clean and quiet. Very friendly staff. I decided to try a little of everything that I could fit in my to-go box. Some of the items on the buffet were very fresh and looked amazing, but others looked kind of nasty, mostly the ones with seafood in them, and I love seafood! The Chicken Fried Rice was nice and fluffy, not nasty and over-cooked like it can often be when left in a rice cooker. MOST of the items I tried were pretty good, but not great. I've had better, but I have also had worse...so like I said, I'm really on the fence. The egg rolls I did not care for. The Spring Rolls were pretty good, and the Crab Rangoons....SO yummy! It was a decent price, and you pay per box, not by the pound which was also a plus for me. I would go back, but I can't call it my favorite Chinese Buffet. It would be super nice to see them add a Coconut Chicken or Coconut Shrimp to the Buffet. read more
