A friend and I went to Logans on Wednesday, the 25th. We basically went there for their Wednesday streak special and I found out most of the review on here for Logan's were misleading. The food was great! the service was awesome. I think we waited for our food less than ten minutes. We went on a Tuesday night and were just trying to grab a bite. We were seated in a cloth/ velvet booth which looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 10+ years. I personally didn't even sit back the whole visit. My salad plate came out with grease /oil buildup around the edges and I'm sure under the food. I asked what the burbon onions were for the steak add on and the server stated that they were "cooked onions". Our two medium steaks came out almost blue rare. We should have known how it was going to be when we noticed how very few cars were in the parking lot. We were seated right away. The place was barely 25% full on a Saturday night at 8:00. They were out of a couple things we ordered. No big deal. There were 3 of us dining. 2 ordered the buttermilk chicken one ordered the chopped steak with a salad. After waiting 25 - 30 our dinners showed up. Still no salad. Canceled the salad. The waitress brings out the salad a few minutes later because she forgot to bring it before the dinner. The chicken was overcooked. The chopped steak was so little it should have been on a kids menu. When we left the 2 young ladies at the hostess station were too busy talking to each other to bother saying thanks for coming or anything at all. We had not been to a Logan's in years. Went to Logan's for dinner, normally it's a good experience. Tonight was a different story...we never did get the server's name, but she certainly did spill my sister's margarita all over the table...didn't really matter, the drink was so sweet it was undrinkable. We ordered a spin dip app, it was completely cold. My wife & I got steaks with mashed potatoes. The steak was piping hot, potatoes were cold. Not even room temp, but cold. We would have sent them back, but our server never came to ask how we were doing. Last straw to a bad dining experience, Logan's doesn't accept Visa gift cards. Seems odd, money is money. But that's ok, I think this is the last time we'll go to Logan's. 1/10, do not recommend. Won't be back. read more

When I was younger, this was my all-time favorite restaurant. My family and I always used to come to this location. I always used to get a steak and double corn. The rolls were absolutely delicious; ate them every time. About a year ago, my family and I came to this location for the very last time. It was on my birthday and we came here for my birthday dinner. My dad's fish came out completely raw and he had to go find our waiter in order to get any kind of service, including the bill. Question of the day: how does a steakhouse get steak wrong? My wife and I both ordered what the menu calls, "Our Signature Steak," The Logan. Both were awful. I hate to have to say it that way, but both tasted like they had been thawed out and freezer burned because they were incredibly tough. We were both sawing and sawing and chewing and chewing. I am surprised because I have never had this kind of an experience with steak at a restaurant, which makes this even more shocking. We also made the mistake of ordering grilled onions which were mushy and flavorless. We both scraped them off the meat. Now, the meal wasn't all bad. The broccoli was actually pretty good. They will remain unnamed, but our waiter actually agreed about how badly they do steaks here. No lie, they recommended that we try the chicken fingers or salmon if we ever come back. They even said we should have gone to Texas Roadhouse across the street. We actually went there first but there was a wait. What a big mistake....we should have waited. Celiac Foodie: Went to Logan's tonight.. I was concerned because Logan's doesn't have a GF Menu to review (in Grandville, Mi). I was given the Allergen Menu. I did find a GF Menu on Google (see picture) and compared that to the Allergen Menu. I had the Sirloin with no toppings, Baked Potato, Steamed Broccoli and Cinnamon Apples. I had made a joke to the waitress that I wanted it cooked to the legal minimum then I reminded her that the legal minimum was Tar Tar. The food came after an hour of being seated and we didn't have much time left before our movie started. She offered to have it re-done but I didn't have time to wait another half an hour just to cram it in my face like a speed eating contest. Our visit started out good. The hostess was very friendly and took us to a booth. When our server came over, we ordered coffee. It was served very quickly. It tasted like yesterday's coffee left on the burner overnight. My friend laughed at me when I said it was bad. She then tried hers and spit it back into the cup. When our server came back, we told her it was terrible and asked for fresh coffee. She said "Sorry about that" and informed us that it would taste the same. We chose water and Coke instead. I asked for another napkin because I spilled cream and wiped it up using my napkin. She never brought another napkin, nor cleaned up the mess. After 15-20 minutes our entrees were served, follow a few minutes LATER by our salads. My friend ordered a medium/rare steak. It came a very raw rare. She sent it back. Server response "Sorry about that" after trying to tell us that it was properly prepared. Twenty two minutes later, the steak was brought back -- WELL DONE. When my friend explained that is was now well done, our server disagreed, but said she would get another steak if that was what my friend wanted. My friend said she would eat the one served. This is the third time we tried to get decent food from Logan's in Grandville, and it will definitely be the last. Our "bowls" of soup were small (cup size) and cold as though right out of the fridge. Another time we ordered burgers, which were over done and dry, basically inedible. Another time, I ordered a steak medium rare. It was brought to the table and the waitress asked me to cut into it and make sure it was to my order which it wasn't. She took it back and brought me another, which was also overcooked. It is sad when a steakhouse can't cook a steak to order, or burgers. And now they don't even give you warm soup. My 84 year old father -a veteran of the air force went for dinner at Texas Roadhouse on Veterans Day - HE did not know he needed a voucher that he needed to pick up that morning to use . He has trouble walking , his wife is in a wheelchair n they said he needed a voucher from that morning. the waitress said there was a lot of confusion about this - I asked to speak to a manager , she came over , was rude as all get out and basically told us too bad he should of got here this morning to get his voucher . So my disabled 84 year old father and my handicap mother who lives in a wheelchair were told too bad . Talk about discrimination of the elderly. The waitress kept apologizing and said she was embarrassed they told him that . I was very unsatisfied with the food at this establishment. I have had better microwaveable chicken tenders than the ones that were served at the Logan's Grandville location. I won't lie, but the rolls were amazing, so I will give them credit for that. Our waitress was very kind and I think she deserves a raise. I also believe that they were overstated as there were 4 young employees standing by the front doing absolutely nothing. Four plates were brought for the rolls all wet and I was told we "just needed to wipe the off". How about you wipe the BEFORE you bring the to the table? My half rack of ribs had very little BBQ sauce on them and the BBQ sauce she brought me was cold so of course instead of eating warm sauce on the way ribs I had COLD sauce to put on my ribs which made the ribs cooler. . I asked for my ribs WET but evidently it didn't matter. Daughters salmon was good but wouldn't let her sub anything for mashed potatoes which she could not have. Husband's salad with chicken on was good. Son in laws ribs were good and had ok sauce on them. While it was just ok we probably won't go back unless we have no other options. read more

Just awful service. The servers stand around talking and wasting time while it takes almost an hour to get my lunch. The lunch is awful. The rice is over cooked and discolored. The chicken is ok but now one o only gets 1 chicken breast. Years ago I remember getting two. So. I get everyone is suffering for staff. I get a lot of food service workers are new to the industry. But when your base quality starts to slide it makes other aspects seem like larger issues. Multiple orders around us were 90% right. All tables around us I could overhear issues with orders coming to the table. Easily corrected issues. Nothing major. Steaks were under seasoned and the mashed potatoes contained the burnt potatoes on the bottom of the pot. Kitchen seems to be inexperienced for basic cooking. Quality control out of the kitchen seems to be non existent. This is not a place I expect to be blown away by...but they need to work on quality control. read more

One of us had to shovel a path to our Vehicle. Snow was hiding substantial ice patches. There was high risk for injury. Food was okay. Sirloin tasted like liver. Ate dinner there yesterday and food and service was fantastic! Lexi was our server and did an AWESOME job taking care of us. New to the position but was flawless. Lyda (? on her spelling), the GM, was excellent also as was the other waitstaff who got slammed and knew how to keep it rolling smoothly. Never missed a beat. Honestly has been forever eating at Logans so wasn't sure how the food was going to be but it was very well prepared and presentation was excellent also. Came out hot out of the kitchen which tells me they have their systems down instead of food sitting to get cold. Not at this location. Very well done team and we will be coming back! I ordered a blueberry blues mixed drink that was supposed to come topped with frozen Margarita. Our waitress brought it with just the bottom part of the drink. I ordered a Cobb salad with steak and they only cut the steak into four huge chunks. You can't take a few seconds to actually cut it up all the way? The avocado was still so frozen it was crystallized, and might I say, so incredibly gross. The rolls are good but not worth the other issues here. We decided to go to this restaurant for my birthday on November 1 (I took my elderly parents). We arrived, and had to ask the waitress 3 times and then the manager to get menus. The waitress never checked on us. We asked for butter and rolls, and got 1 roll and 3 butters.. We all 3 ordered salads, but she forgot to bring mine. She attended to and took orders from 2 other tables and I had to flag her down to get my salad. By time I got it my parents had eaten theirs and we had been at the restaurant for 45 minutes. The waitress kept complaining she was busy and overworked, but the restaurant was only 1/6th full at most, parking lot was nearly empty, and most tables around us were empty (I took pictures).. Our waitress continued to never check on us throughout our visit.. 2 tables with twice as many people as us that arrived after us got their food more than 20 minutes before us. I asked if there was anything done for birthdays and was told no, that we had to sign up online ahead of time (which is crazy because most places do something... scoop of ice cream or something..). Our food took over hour and a half to get to our table.. and my meal alone was over $35 (filet with shrimp add). You'd think we'd get better service.. when it came my fries were cold. We didn't get ketchup or steak sauce. The steak was luke warm and chewy and hard to eat like old leather. The shrimp I ordered didn't come and I had to ask 3 times about it. The last time the waitress seemed surprised and said she'd handle it then waited on 3 tables before going anywhere to 'handle' it. The shrimp finally came 20 minutes later after I had ate my steak or tried too and everyone else was boxing things up. I did get rice on my plate though for no reason at all with my steak since I had no shrimp.. One of the worst experiences I've ever had anywhere.. and from a place we used to frequent weekly. We went for a lunch with another couple today. When asked for drinks...my wife asked for coffee. "We don't have any coffee...all our pots are gone so we cannot make coffee." I'm not sure what's happening to this Logan's Roadhouse specifically, but every other LRH would be PACKED with a 20-30 min wait on a Sunday evening. 7:30 on 03/12/2023. We were surprised to not only find 0 wait time but a parking spot near to the door! (Nom handicapped or curbside pickup). THIS IS BECAUSE STAFF OUTNUMBERED PATRONS 3-1!!! It was a ghost town and tbh creepy. It reminded me of a before of Gordon Ramsay's "kitchen nightmares" when the restaurant is all screwed up and hemorrhaging money. I inquired if there was something wrong with the restaurant or if we just missed the dinner rush but the hostess said there hadn't been a dinner rush. I'll remind you this was 7:30pm. The hostess and servers did their jobs admirably and even asked the cook a question about the burger patty I fielded. It was clearly a thawed out pre-packaged (not fresh) perfectly cut 3.5"x5/8" perfect circle of ground beef with parallel sides. While cooked to order, it definitely tasted as if it was frozen at one point. Can't confirm as the cook himself may not have known if he didn't prep the meat. Less than 8 patron arrived during our entire meal (appx 45 mins). Any waitresses did NOT make much in tips that night. This is a PRIME location off the 44th street ramp on the right side of the street. The only logical conclusion is there is something fundamentally wrong with the restaurant and I sincerely hope my girlfriend and I don't get food poisoning. Y'all need figure this crap out as we will NOT be returning. LRH is supposed to be a fun experience and this was creepy and depressing. read more
