    "Tan" cloth booths

We went on a Tuesday night and were just trying to grab a bite. We were seated in a cloth/ velvet booth which looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 10+ years. I personally didn't even sit back the whole visit. My salad plate came out with grease /oil buildup around the edges and I'm sure under the food. I asked what the burbon onions were for the steak add on and the server stated that they were "cooked onions". Our two medium steaks came out almost blue rare. My friend and I both agreed that the rolls were the best thing we ate here. My friend stated that they felt "gross after visiting the restaurant " Not a good experience :(

It's been a while since I've been to Logan's. Still have a nice laid back atmosphere. Our server was friendly and quick. Food was still good. Gotta love those rolls. Overall had a good experience.

This is a wasted porterhouse ordered rare.

I had made a joke to the waitress that I wanted it cooked to the legal minimum then I reminded her that the legal minimum was Tar Tar. The food came after an hour of being seated and we didn't have much time left before our movie started. She offered to have it re-done but I didn't have time to wait another half an hour just to cram it in my face like a speed eating contest. We had the choice of going to Texas rRoadhouse which was just kitty Wompus across the street - we probably should've gone there. I genuinely felt sorry for the waitress as she kept bringing rolls out along with our starter appetizer to placate for the time it took the kitchen to prepare our food. She did her best, but the kitchen failed her miserably.

Question of the day: how does a steakhouse get steak wrong? My wife and I both ordered what the menu calls, "Our Signature Steak," The Logan. Both were awful. I hate to have to say it that way, but both tasted like they had been thawed out and freezer burned because they were incredibly tough. We were both sawing and sawing and chewing and chewing. I am surprised because I have never had this kind of an experience with steak at a restaurant, which makes this even more shocking. We also made the mistake of ordering grilled onions which were mushy and flavorless. We both scraped them off the meat. Now, the meal wasn't all bad. The broccoli was actually pretty good. They will remain unnamed, but our waiter actually agreed about how badly they do steaks here. No lie, they recommended that we try the chicken fingers or salmon if we ever come back. They even said we should have gone to Texas Roadhouse across the street. We actually went there first but there was a wait. What a big mistake....we should have waited. We even commented on how less busy this place was. We understand why.

Celiac Foodie: Went to Logan's tonight.. I was concerned because Logan's doesn't have a GF Menu to review (in Grandville, Mi). I was given the Allergen Menu. I did find a GF Menu on Google (see picture) and compared that to the Allergen Menu. I had the Sirloin with no toppings, Baked Potato, Steamed Broccoli and Cinnamon Apples. I asked the waitress to make sure the kitchen used new utensils and knew it needed to be Gluten Free. No health issues in response to my meal .. Happy Dining!

Can't go wrong with steak and a cocktail after work. Unfortunately they were out of Merlot at 6:30pm on a Wednesday so I had to settle for a Blue Moon because they don't offer labatt Blue. Steaks were cooked to perfect temp. Our waitress gave away our rolls but quickly recovered with a new basket. The music was classic rock and not too loud. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxing.

At first I was hesitant because of the price, and it being biscuits, but they made me eat those words and more. It was like a large biscuit muffin top with jalapeño, cheese and honey glaze (I think) and it came with a white cheddar cheese sauce to dip it in that was outrageously delicious. For a guy who hates cheddar biscuits, I've got to say I'm blown away. My wife ordered the steak with fingerling potatoes and carrots. It was on the pricier side, but yet again well worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the veggies were pretty good too. They had live music playing as well tonight. It was a jazzy kind of vibe and it didn't over power anyone talking or anything. The guy had some serious skill too. To top it off, we had some pretty killer service from everyone there. From the hostess taking our names, random servers walking around, and our fantastic server (I forget her name but she was blonde and worked upstairs and had a a really great attitude. The expo or food runner dropping our food off anticipated us possibly needing an extra plate and brought one without asking which was super awesome and ended up coming in handy ( I knew my wife wouldn't finish that steak alone) and she brought it without asking and was ready with a smile to get more. I used to be a GM (I hate when people use this saying but...) truly I know how hard it is to find good workers and the folks running it here seem to have it down. I come from a place where you have to drive 100 mi or more for average service. So seeing exceptional service is really almost too good to be true. I'd definitely stop in for a bite. It's worth every penny. We'll be back for dessert, they have seasonal crème brûlées!

I dined at TOG today for a business lunch and, unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing…read more At the end of our meal, I asked for a to-go box because I had barely touched my food. My guest and I spent most of our lunch talking, and I left with nearly an entire meal. About 20 minutes after leaving, I realized I had forgotten my box and immediately called the restaurant to see if it was still there. The young lady who answered the phone asked where I had been seated. I explained that I was at the very first table at the front of the restaurant. Within seconds, she told me there was nothing there. Her tone made it clear that assisting me was not a priority. Given that the hostess stand is located at the back of the restaurant and I was seated at the front, I do not believe there was enough time for her to actually check before dismissing my concern. After I sent an email regarding the situation, the hostess responded that she had walked through the restaurant looking for the box. Based on the timing of our phone conversation, I find that difficult to believe. In her response, she also stated that she checked with the servers after our call had ended, which suggests that no real effort was made while I was on the phone. What is most disappointing is that I am a regular customer. Today, I paid $56.00 for lunch for myself and my business guest. Between a server who was largely absent throughout the meal and the dismissive interaction when I called about my forgotten food, the level of service fell far below what I have come to expect. Everyone has an occasional bad day, but customer service is often defined by how issues are handled after something goes wrong. In this case, I felt dismissed rather than helped. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I do not plan to return.

Service was top notch from start to finish. Plates were cleared between each course, we were checked on often but not too much and felt super taken care of. The tart strawberry mocktail was one of the best I've ever had, refreshing and perfectly balanced. We started with the truffle arancini- it sits on top of a bed of black pepper aioli which was to die for. The gem salad was fresh- loved the addition of crispy prosciutto&mandarins. I had the double waygu burger with fries(highly recommend asking for a side of the black pepper aioli for your fries!!) while my husband had the hanger steak frites. Both were cooked perfectly and SO flavorful. We were stuffed, but had to finish with the tiramisu. It came in a chilled glass- so appreciate the attention to detail. My friend got a steak on top of the gnocchi and really enjoyed it! Overall I think this restaurant is worth the hype and canto wait to dine here again! It's important to know that if you want to dine here, plan to reserve a table ahead or plan to wait for a table. They hold 50% of table s for walk ins. Parking DT is always a challenge and once they build the soccer stadium, I imagine it will be craziness. It just takes a bit of planning.

We arrived right at 5 pm on a Friday and the place was almost full already! We were surprised but happy for them, and glad to get a nice cozy two-top in a back corner. We were greeted by our awesome server and ordered some food -- two different mortadella sandwiches and an order of fried pickles to start. Neither of us ordered drinks, but I saw some fun-looking cocktails coming over to nearby tables. The fried pickles came out first and they were perfection. I don't usually get this appetizer because I don't like fried pickle spears, but these were thin chips. The ratio of the fried pickle chip vs. spear is way better. And these came with the best runny ranch. It was a huge portion to split between the two of us, so we had lots left over. Our sandwiches came out shortly after and looked amazing. They were super stacked with tons of meat! I really liked the addition of the grainy mustard which helped cut through the fattiness of the meat. My friend liked hers - it had pistachio butter and ricotta (similar to a delicious sandwich I ate at a wine bar in Detroit). Portions are large and it's a cozy, neighborhood spot. The flavors were okay but for almost $20 felt a bit lackluster. Our friends told us the burgers are a must try so maybe in the future that would be what I try instead. Our server seldom came to our table, we had to flag her down to order more drinks and even then she forgot and we had to remind her we placed another drink order. The restaurant was not very busy and we could see her chatting with a table that seemed like employees or family members of employees as people were coming in and out of the kitchen to sit at the table. We had a table of four (two couples) and the server would not split our bill which was fine but a bit inconveniencing. I appreciate local, family owned businesses but felt that our experience was a bit off on this night.
