First, this restaurant has been neglected. Most of the seats have big tears in them and I can't imagine anyone wanting to sit on them. The waitress said that earlier in the day, some ceiling tiles came crashing down due to a leak in the roof. As far as the food was concerned, I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the Swiss Miss which is a burger that comes with shredded lettuce, Swiss cheese, mushrooms and tartar sauce. I asked for no lettuce. What I got was a burger with cheese. I pulled it apart and it looked to me that they made it with lettuce and rather than remaking it they just scrapped the lettuce, mushrooms and tartar sauce off. Really enjoy the atmosphere this restaurant provided. Very clean, well lit and friendly. Large parking lot out front and you are welcomed with a smile when you arrive. I was seated promptly and was welcomed by Damien. I ordered a THICK chocolate shake and he made it PERFECT! He was knowledgeable about the menu and easy to work with when I changed my order twice. Highly suggest the waffle fries with ranch. I finally settled on the crispy chicken wrap. Meal came out hot and yummy. Melted cheese, cooked chicken, fresh ingredients. We went there for lunch today. We were welcomed and seated immediately. Our waiter was right there with menus and took and filled our drink order promptly. Our food was brought in a very reasonable time and it was hot and delicious. I had the hot fudge cake for dessert, and it was great. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We went for the breakfast buffet. It took fifteen minutes to get our drinks - but the server was delivering drinks to all of the customers who came in after us. The breakfast side of the buffet was nearly empty - but what was there tasted awful (other than the polish sausage and peppers). The gravy had ZERO flavor, the eggs all tasted gross. On the salad bar side of the buffet, the creamy macaroni salad had such a strong vinegar taste that I couldn't eat it. The blue cheese and ranch dressing, along with the thousand island was so coagulated on top that even when I tried to mix them in, it was still showing chunks of discolored coagulation the pasta salads were crunchy from being dried out. Ordered food to be delivered by Door Dash. The driver did great It was the food that was the problem. I spent over 50.00 for mozzarella sticks, Big Burger, mash potatoes, 4 chicken tenders and a pepsi. All the sticks were over cooked that the cheese was almost gone and did get one that was just breading. Suppose to get an order of fries with the chicken tenders and burger but only got 1 order which was only filled half way. The burger was suppose to have cheese but all I got was burnt burgers and a slap of their sauce. I'm a Semi Driver so I can't go over to the place to complain. Service was great and the food was good. 3 stars is for the fact the tables and booths were not very clean. Sign said to seat ourselves, but a lot of the tables had not been wiped off. My wife went the restroom and came back saying it was atrocious. They did have enough staff working to make sure it was clean. It was not busy. Maybe 5 tables with patrons. Now onto the food review. Started with pretzel knots. Done just right for me. Wife ordered the triple turkey sandwich. I had what she didn't eat the next day. Not bad. I had the big slim burger. Personally I didn't care for it. Only because it had a tarter sauce maybe? The burger was well cooked and the fries were great. Just didn't care for the sauce. Not the restaurant's fault. I brought my mother and nephew to this location for dinner on 8/9/19. We ordered the fish and chips with coffee for ourselves with my nephew having the mini corn dogs from the kids menu, along with a chocolate shake. The coffee was old and due to the taste you knew it had been sitting for hours before our arrival. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, however the presentation left much to be desired. The cod filets were small, thin, and way over cooked. Not what is typical of Big Boy cod. The fries were lukewarm, along with being over cooked to the point their was no potato left. The mini dogs could of used an additional minute or two. Our waitress was polite and quite quick until our food arrived. She then ignored us like the plague until it was time to present the bill. We informed her of the issue, and she retrieved the manager. We explained what transpired and showed her pics of the dishes as served. She did discount the tab yet it does not compensate for the over prepared food and poor service. It will be a very long time, if ever, before I would consider returning to this location. If Big Boy wants to know why they are failing, it is due to these type of circumstances we encountered this evening. I truly wish we had paid the $4.29 for the milk shake and left without eating. This used to be one of the best locations in the area. Now it is one of the worst. Went here for breakfast due to buying a Groupon voucher for this specific location. I went up to pay with the voucher and was told they wouldn't accept it. It was NOT expired. No reason given, just said they stopped accepting them three weeks ago. No signage of this. Went in while driving through with my mother, hoping for something better than fast food; sadly that didn't happen. Waited a good 10 minutes at the door before anyone even acknowledged we were there (four of the waitstaff looked at us but ignored us). Took another 5 to get seated as a crowd of ungreeted people was forming at the door. Got seated and while the table was clean there were handprints and smears on the divider walls. Found out their 'house made' meatloaf came in frozen, decided to instead order the strawberry waffles. Waffles were good but the bacon was razor thin, almost nothing to it. Sausage tasted like it was boiled, very rubbery. I had to nurse my water as the waitress didn't come back once to refill, and the one time she came to ask how our food was at the end she didn't even wait for our reply before taking off (this was 3pm on a Sunday, not busy). I had cash ready for her when she came with the check but took off before I could even show her we had payment already ready for her to take. After our visit to this location, I'm regretting not just going to Subway or something, that would have been just as cheap with more attention to the customers. read more

The problem is that they take their fried seafood (clams, shrimp, fish) and put it in a steamer to serve. Comes out like rubber and tasteless. Can't believe they do this. We haven't been to a Big Boy restaurant in 10 years. We met another couple there for brunch. This was a real treat. They have a great Salad Bar. Lots of fresh crispy greens and so many choice toppings. 5 choices of soups were included too. For a few dollars there was burgers, dogs and tacos too. The servers were so friendly and welcoming. I normally never leave reviews (good experience or bad), but I have never been this impressed with the service I received here and I created this account in hopes somebody will use this and make the decision to bring their family to this restaurant! I went in to this location yesterday evening, I brought my brother in law, along with his two kids and my three kids and wife. We were greeted at the door almost instantly by a young lady who also waited on my family, her name was Abby. She was incredibly nice, my kids were being a little wild, and she handled them AMAZING; they had ordered apple sauce and cottage cheese and she brought it before the groups food was done just for them to both accidentally spill! She noticed the spill from one of her other tables and immediately came to clean the mess and bring my kids new dishes without us even asking. Our food came out very fast, and Abby gave us wonderful service. Everyone in my party always had something to drink, she was on top of everything. The restaurant was very clean, they had a salad bar up that looked very fresh and there was staff constantly looking at it/stocking it. The only thing nice about this location was out server. She was very attentive and pleasant. The greeter didn't seem like she particularly cared for her job. She wasn't rude really, just not very welcoming. Even at two in the afternoon, the waitress said that the salad bar wouldn't be open for a little while yet because the breakfast bar was still up. By the time she had come back with my soup, the salad bar was up and running. That was the main reason I chose Big Boy in the first place so I was pretty disappointed. I would have just waited 5 more minutes if she would have just said something. My fork and knife chicken was very small, very rubbery, and border line undercooked. My potatoes looked like part of them had gotten burnt to the bottom of the pan and still served to me anyways and the place was disgusting. The high chair we received still had loose food in it. I generally let my son eat directly off the table because it's easier than having him throw a plate across the room so I wiped it down with Clorox wipes and I had to use four of them before they even started to not be dark brown after I wiped the small area. On top of all that, when we got there the last customer's receipt was still on the table with all of their information and covered in food. It made me a little bit nervous to leave ours sitting there when we left but the waitress wasn't near when we got up. I would never recommend this location to anyone. My wife and I went to big boy this morning, Feb 5, and waited several minutes to get waited on. We ordered and it took almost twenty minutes to get our breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and toast. My eggs were cold and the toast was so cold that the butter never melted. Waitress bethany never came around to check on us so I couldn't tell her. We have been to this particular Big Boy several times and the service has been great. Yesterday, we stopped again before going to Costco and we must have waited 5 minutes to be seated. There was one waitress standing at a table talking to a customer about anything and everything except food. Another waitress came by with food and just looked at us. Finally she said, just seat yourself. We watched the other "talking" waitress and after about another 5 minutes she finally pulled out her pad and began taking their order. It must have taken another 10 minutes for yet a different waitress to show up to our table to see what we wanted to drink and give us a menu. She left and didn't come back for awhile. We were ready to leave at this point. She wasn't very cordial almost like she had better places to be. She sat all the food in front of my husband and left. Never came back for drink refills until she put the check on the table (while we were still eating) and asked if we wanted 'to go' refills. We usually tip 20%, but today she only got the minimum. I felt that's more than she deserved. The only reason I gave a three star review is because the food was good. read more
