Great carryout! First time here after moving to this small town. I had low expectations and a hunkering for Chinese food. I went with the pot stickers and beef lo mien, which was the most recommended items. They both were very good. I only wish there were more meat and a perhaps some veggies. I'll definitely go back again and try something less popular. read more

By far the best beef lo mein I've ever had. I personally needed to put soy sauce on it. But the pieces of beef are legit slices of steak! Not the fake tasting stuff. Service was amazing. A gem of a Chinese takeout restaurant in Middleville of all places. Stopped in between soccer and hockey. Ordered fried wontons, beef and broccoli (with shrimp), sweet and sour chicken, and shrimp egg rolls. Everything was excellent and the fried rice was easily the best I've ever had outside of my husband's Blackstone grill. read more

As good of takeout Chinese food as I've ever had! I'm in town with my family for vacation and we almost didn't come because of the negative reviews in the past, and I'm glad we gave it a try. Standard takeout counter with a small seating area, but there was enough room for our family of four to sit and eat more than comfortably. Service was prompt and helpful. Portions were very generous of the vegetable mu shu, vegetable mei fun, broccoli in ginger sauce, and sesame tofu. The vegetable rolls were the same as they are everywhere else. Didn't think to take pictures until after we had eaten but I definitely wanted to write a review to combat others' - if you're looking for takeout Chinese, I would recommend China Kitchen! read more

Yeah, I guess, when you're the only game in town you can do just enough to get by. Veggie lo-mein had one tiny piece of broccoli, a few pieces of shredded carrots and one piece of a mushroom and then the rest was just noodles, pretty sure the sauce was bottled. Vegetables in garlic sauce was pretty much a sliced up carrot and a few onions and broccoli and again, pretty sure the sauce was from a bottle. I wasn't really expecting too much, Middleville isn't exactly a food destination, especially on a Sunday but $22 bucks for $3.50 worth of ingredients is kinda crazy. Rangoons were just sour cream cheese tasting. All the chicken dishes were over fried. So it was hard to chew them. General tso chicken sauce too sweet. Friendly family staff, the boys working the counter are cute, and their mother had shared been very friendly. Not the BEST Chinese I've had, but by far the best I've had since moving to the area (beats out Dynasty in Hastings by a zillion!) Shrimp egg foo young, cashew chicken, szechuan chicken have all been consistently good. LOVE the egg rolls (made with cabbage instead of bean sprouts...I HATE bean sprouts!) Nothing fancy on the inside, but that makes me more comfortable when I bring the kids. Food always comes out fast and hot. Very affordable too. On a side note... To the person who complained about the kids working...geez... What a concept, kids HELPING the family. Not like American kids who expect everything handed to them. And you're worried a 10 year old is going to steal your identity or something? And to the girl who was suspicious seeing the staff eating carryout burgers...are they obligated to eat their own food and/or Chinese every night? read more

Average at best. Ordered fried dumplings. Got microwaved steamed dumplings instead. Should have opened the stapled shut paper bag before I left. My entree was just OK. Not good. Not bad. Just ok. For $13.50 for myself, I wld have rather had an excellent burger and beer at Reds bar. Side note: I found it really weird that there were 4-5 kids in the place (not patrons but rather employee or owners children) including the one who cashed me out. No offense but I don't dig handing my credit card to a kid under the age of 14 or 15. I find it inappropriate. Ok food. Occasionally order take out and it is a nice change from pizza or subs. I like my food spicy and am always disappointed, but this is true of most Chinese food in the area.
