My boyfriend and I were craving for chinese food in the area. Since we were still trying to figure out a good location, I decided to turn to yelp for suggestions. I must say, we were not disappointed. The food was tasty and flavorful. The service was also very courteous, friendly and attentive. Their portions had a fair amount of food. After passing by this place many many times, I finally made my way in to see what they had to offer. I was greeted right away and after browsing the menu a little, I decided on the Kung Pao chicken lunch special. It comes with your choice of fried or steamed rice, hot and sour or egg drop soup, and an egg roll. I saw some reviews here that mentioned excessively oily egg rolls, but what I had was no more oily than other egg rolls I've tried. Kung Pao had great flavor and good chicken quality (very important). Other Chinese restaurants skimp on the quality of their chicken, but this was all white meat chunks. Everyone was very friendly, too. I will definitely be back here to try some other items! read more

Worst place!! Stopped in because our favorite place is closed on Sunday and I was having a craving. Szechuan chicken was supposed to be medium heat, but not only was there NO heat but there was NO flavor. My order of Pork was also supposed to have medium heat and there was no heat and had texture of freeze dried meat. Honestly, I don't think this place knows what spicy is. Our Salt and Pepper wings had nothing peppery and only extra salty. And the only restaurant in El Cajon inflating their prices due to Covid19!!! read more

I've driven by this place a gazzillion times. Today was a game changer. I was feeling like Chinese and took a risk. Couldn't really tell you why I never tried this place, but let's focus on the fact that I did. I ordered the Kung Pao at a level 4, beef lo mein and my all time favorite BBQ Pork fried rice. These three dishes were so good my 6 year old was guzzling it all down, dad never came up for air and I pretty much ate till everything was gone! Took Mom here again for her birthday. The egg flower soup is quite good and the vegetable lo mein is excellent. The usual super friendly service, too. The only hitch was the Cashew Lover's Delight which had no cashews in it according to Mom and it was pretty sugary too, so I just ate the shrimp Mom doesn't like. She thought it was great! Delicious modestly priced restaurant. Fresh veggies and cheerful helpfull and kind service. We ordered Mushi Pork, Potstickers, and another noodle dish, Hong Kong noodles I believe. Can you deal with Chinese interior design? Lavender walls and a mixed bag of green booths and mismatched tables. If that doesn't bother you then the food will make you a fan. Authentic Chinese (Americanized of course) cuisine that was yummy and reasonably priced. Well that was pretty darn good so far I've tried black bean beef house special pork the pepper chicken and lastly I just had house special sauce on chicken pretty good and when getting my check I refer to it kind of tasting like general Tso and she said they can make it!!! I haven't had enough Chinese food in east county to know if that's true, but I found this place to be just OK and nothing really worth going out of your way for if you're not already in the area. I'm very big on customer service and this place blew my mind and my husband's away. First of all, my son was fidgeting with a bottle of hot sauce when we sat on our table and the server was concerned with the spicy stuff getting on his fingers and getting on his eyes. She immediately let us know and brought us chips & sweet and sour sauce, so that he could play and eat. Then, to our great surprise, they were very attentive, very thoughtful, and very engaging with my son. We really enjoyed the experience and the food was so good that after we left the restaurant, my husband and I agreed that this would be our favorite Chinese place. I ordered the mushroom chicken lunch special to go. It included soup ,rice and an egg roll . The soup was the egg kind and was very blan tasting :/ everything else was okay tasting but definitely not what I expected due to the high ratings. Loved this place, the ladies working there are nicest people you'll ever meet. The food is great, freshly made and in abundance, the restaurant is neat and super clean. Maybe a little pricey. Unfortunately with this Covid19 situation this location has been super busy, they can't answer the phone and the wait for take out is way over 1hr. Last order we placed was not so good. Food was thrown in the containers, lo mein was burt, beef and broccoli was mostly broccoli with not much sauce. Just ordered for delivery and the orange chicken is definitely Tyson frozen buffalo chicken with orange sauce on it. We ordered fried rice and it has a few small pieces of egg and nothing else in it. We were greeted as soon as we walked on the door. We asked to sit on a booth next to where were standing, we directed to sit on the other side of the restaurant. We ordered cashew chicken, Kung pao chicken, and broccoli beef. The cashew was my favorite, then the Kung pao, the beef in the broccoli beef was less than desired. We ordered fried rice, but white rice was delivered with the main dishes. They eventually brought the fried rice, but it was much later. read more

When I want Chinese food this is my choice. I take-out instead of dine-in. The service is not good when dining in. They are not polite and the bill has been incorrect the last couple of times I dined in. That is why I gave it a 3 star rating. It is less of a hassle to take-out. The food is delicious. I would recommend picking up the food and enjoying it at home. read more

We tried this place for the first time yesterday! The hubby and I usually go to China Panda but they were closed and on vacation. Since that was our go to, we decided to try a different place that was close by to where we live. I looked on yelp and found this place! We always drove by the sign so we agree to try this place out. We ordered the chicken lo mein, chicken fried rice, walnut shrimp, and spicy orange chicken! We were thrilled that you can choose your spice level for the orange chicken. When we walked in for our ordered we were offered a tea free of charge! That was a sweet added bonus and the customer service was very great. All the food tasted great and we will definitely go back! I really enjoyed how the fried rice tasted, it was my favorite. Orange chicken wasn't as great as at China panda but we both enjoyed it nonetheless! I LOVE this place! I just ordered delivery from here for the first time last night, and it was AMAZING! The food was great, the delivery didn't take TOO long (about 40 minutes from the time I called), it was pretty cheap (only about $6 for the lo mein, and $12 for the shrimp) and, hey, they deliver! There is a $3 delivery fee, but it's worth it if you consider the gas and time you save from having to drive there. I ordered lo mein and honey walnut shrimp. Both were DELICIOUS! The honey walnut shrimp was RIDICULOUSLY good... best I've had from anywhere, and that's my usual "go to" at Chinese restaurants. My fiance and I will DEFINITELY be ordering from here again! Worst food I've had in 20 years tasteless dry and reheated with some garlic added as an afterthought to mask the lack of flavor. Checked with my guest who joined me, same thing. Server dropped my plate on the table accidentally which caused a little bit of food to spill on my laptop and walked away without saying anything. I sincerely hope that I don't get food poisoning.
