Stopped in for a quick bite after a nearby drink stop. We ordered 2 lunch specials to go. This is a nice store front located in the bustling Village Center shopping complex in Summerlin. The host was friendly and took our order quickly. We decided on chicken katsu and orange chicken with fried rice and chow mein. The lunch special also comes with soup. Hi, yum! Egg drop soup is my faaaaaav! We got our order quickly and headed home. The food was just ok. Not as good as other locations we've tried. We've never done take-out from this place before, but our go-to restaurant seems to have changed their hours, so this late-eating family had no choice. I didn't do the ordering this time, so it was a surprise. But not a happy one. Thinking I'd like a veggie dish, my daughter ordered Eggplant with Tofu. I nearly gagged on the first bite. I'm sure I've had a similar dish before, but this one was so sweet it could send a diabetic into a coma. Why put all that sugar on vegetables???? Plus, the eggplant and fried tofu were sitting in half an inch of oil. She had asked for mild spice and it had none at all. Epic fail. The other dish was one I'd never have gotten for myself, Moo Shu Chicken. I suppose it was okay, but too bland for my taste. I'm generally not a fan of things I have to roll up and then have drip all over me. Plus the hoisin sauce that's supposed to be spread on the pancake is also too sweet for my taste. I do have a sweet tooth, but like to keep that for dessert or a snack. I gave up after one pancake and just ate the filling, which didn't fill me up, since the eggplant was inedible and the rice was cold. China A Go Go doesn't change my view that the only place to get good Chinese food outside of China is in NY, or maybe San Francisco. But not Vegas. What a disappointment. read more

I was a fan of this China A Go Go location because they make to order special requests but tonight's delivery was the final straw. I always leave notes in two locations on the order form for chili oil and for some reason I rarely receive it. I literally have to drive to the restaurant and request chili oil in person at the counter to get it. If the restaurant is going to charge for the chili oil then put it on the menu to order. I also didn't receive any sweet dipping sauce for the ragoon and eggroll. This is supposed to come with the personal dinner meal. Not sure if the packing person doesn't read Englsh but there's a problem with the quality control or checking orders to make sure everything is included before the customer receives it. I've had enough with the disregard. I have been a loyal customer ordering from here for years and I refuse to support a business that overlooks notes on orders. The quality of the food is lackluster. I don't understand how the sauces for an entree are clumpy and extra thick at times. Food preparation quality is inconsistent. The eggrolls and ragoons are suppose to be cripsy but often times are mushy and loaded with oil making it a disgusting mess. The egg drop soup is a gloopy mess loaded with cornstarch and most times zero flavor. The wonton soup is made with a flavor packet which is too watered down so there's no flavor. Does anyone make chicken broth from scratch anymore? If I order again from here and receive my food this way I will return the food, demand better service, and a refund. I have supported this business too long to continue to receive indifferent and dissmissive service. Do better! read more

Ordered by phone. Food was ready in about 5 minutes. Easy to pop in, pay and leave with order of broccoli & beef and kung pao chicken lunch specials. Large portions packed with care. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. I had the kung pao and thoroughly enjoyed the level of heat. Sliced jalapeños and seven whole red chili peppers! The kung pao had a definite kick with the peppers. The beef was tender in both orders but very different in taste based on the sauce on the dish. The bell peppers were bright and fresh with just a touch of crisp. The mushrooms were a wonderful touch of earthiness. The fried rice was simple but delicious! A quick Chinese to-go spot in the Village center. We ordered pickup from here when I was in town visiting my aunt in Vegas. It was a good fast & easy option & is apparently her go-to place when she's not in the mood to cook and needs a quick meal. Some of the things we got were the krab rangoons and the HK Style crispy noodles. Both were good and filling! The restaurant called me promptly to let me know I could order another item that was included in my family meal- they were very nice. Well I tried to use the coupons advertised on their website and none of them seem to work, so I called and they didn't try to help me, just kept saying you have to use it online and no one knows how to help me, even though it's their company website, we sounds like bull but that's the excuse. Been meaning to check out the China A Gogo located on Charleston for a while and then realized they opened this location recently. Ordered the kung pao chicken lunch special for the husband and the honey walnut shrimp lunch special for myself. Came to just under $20 for the 2 generous meals. Husband enjoyed his kung pao and I really liked the honey walnut shrimp - fat juicy shrimp cooked very nicely, plenty of walnuts and a nice sauce. The lunch special comes with fried rice (good -not salty or greasy) and chow mein noodles (a tad bit greasy). Chow Mein House has been our Chinese go-to spot but seeing as this new location is closer to us (about a mile away), we might be frequenting this place more often. read more

I threw up and wasn't sure why food tasted nasty. The color on my order was dark orange. The seafood was hard and I got sick from minimal bites of this disgusting food! Thought perhaps one item was over cooked. But it was my entire order. Threw it all out and got food poisoning. Absolutely don't take the risk. My original review apparently didn't pass muster with the folks monitoring Yelp. Ok. Here's the situation. The first time I went to China A Go Go the person staffing the register didn't acknowledge us and ignored us. Essentially this "superb" worker thought phone orders were more important than looking a person in the eye. I thought to myself these young people are used to answering the phone and can't say " would you please hold" to those folks on the phone because they haven't been trained in manners. So, my recommendation to future customers is to phone in your order because the folks working there can't take turns. The food is standard Chinese takeout. Grade C+. The food at this particular china a go go location lacks flavor in my opinion. The House special chicken does not have the right amount of 'spice' and the fried chicken wontons lack flavor and a good crunch to the wonton like i have had in the past at other locations. The abundance of options like seafood boil and french fries indicates quantity over quality. I also don't like how the fried rice comes in a styrofoam box instead of a familiar square carton that says 'enjoy' in the unique font. This location is also more expensive than other china a go go establishments for the record. read more

This is a new location, and we just tried it out for the first time. The one on West Charleston has always been my favorite, though, but wanted to give the new location a try. Prices have definitely gone up. I'm also used to the Styrofoam To-Go containers from other locations, but the Village Center one uses plastic ones. I'm not sure if the portions are smaller, but it seemed like we got less food than we usually do. We got the Family Dinner A, which comes with a choice of soup, two eggrolls, two crab cream cheese wonton, two entrees, and a choice of rice. We selected hot and sour soup (a favorite of ours), but instead, we got seafood hot and sour soup. While I don't mind the seafood kind, that isn't what we wanted. We just ordered regular hot and sour soup. Everything else tasted very good. I also got a brown sugar milk Boba tea. While it was delicious, I wouldn't get it again. For almost six bucks, this is just too much for a drink that tasted just average. You do have the option to dine in or get delivery. We got our order via grubhub. I can't blame the restaurant for the order showing up late because we used Grubhub, but the food tasted good. I'm just disappointed the prices are going up. read more

The quality may be the worst I've ever had in Vegas. I was raised in the business, so I know the difference. Two of the dishes had so much onion that it barely left room for the dish itself.
