Decent Chinese food. Good value and selection. Clean store. Friendly staff. Conveniently next to movie theater.

Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately noticed that there was a barrier made of chairs to prevent customers from getting to close to staff when ordering food. I also noticed a plastic curtain at the cash register with a hole for customers to pass their credit card through as a social distancing measure. The main reason I like this restaurant because I can order fried rice without egg, vegetable chow mein and tofu with spicy garlic sauce. There are three ways options for ordering food in the restaurant which are a la carte, in a bowl, or in a combo. I ordered a combo plate of veggie chips mein with a double serving of tofu with spicy garlic sauce while hubby ordered two bowls of tofu with spicy garlic sauce, veggie chow mein and vegetable fried rice without eggs for him and his mom. My meal of veggie chow mein and tofu with spicy garlic sauce was good but the tofu with garlic was so spicy, I ended up having to have a drink nearby to cool my burning mouth. The vegetables used in the veggie chow mein was fresh and crunchy. I also had some of the vegetable fried rice without egg which was cooked well and flavorful.

Very good wonton soup and very good cream cheese wontons. Convenient when you come to the theaters you can also take your drink from here into the movies which is very nice.

The only Chinese food I order. Very good food, clean, great vegan options. I am always recommending this restaurant.

The restaurant was clean and cool, which is nice in a warm day! Food all looked fresh and mine definitely was!

Heard about this place on IG... So I thought I would give it a try. I was super excited to go in…read moreand try since the review on IG sounded like the food was amazing. The place is like your standard Chinese takeout restaurant, where you have premade dishes, ready to be served with white rice, fried rice, or chow mein noodles. The menu has standard items such as orange chicken, general, chicken, chicken, teriyaki, honey, walnut, shrimp, honey, chicken, mushroom chicken, and so. They also offer egg rolls, cream, cheese, wontons, and soup. What stands out about this place is that they offer a catering menu, unlike some of the other homegrown Chinese takeout places. The restaurant itself is very clean although had a strong smell of Fabuloso and the tables in the floors were a bit sticky. They have one singular bathroom and it was clean. The person who took my order was very nice, friendly, and professional. She was very eager to give me a taste of the entrées in case I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat and I thought that was very cool. I purchased a bowl with half fried rice and half chow mein, and one entrée. For my entrée chose the honey shrimp. my meal came with a fountain drink so that was good. The entrée is $9.99 however, because I got the shrimp, it was a little bit extra. I wish I had gone when the IG people were there doing their reel... Because my food didn't taste anything like how they described it. The honey shrimp was very tasty and the shrimp was cooked perfectly however, every now and then I would get a huge puffy piece. I was not impressed with the fried rice nor the chow mein. I was expecting it to have a wok-seared flavor, like how it was described by the couple doing the reel on IG. For me, it was very plain, in fact, at one point, I thought the chow mein noodles were spaghetti noodles. While the meal satisfied my hunger, since it was dinner time, I likely will not be going back... Sorry, peeps I still have not found good Chinese food in Bakersfield. I hope you have a different experience, and if you do, enjoy!

If you are craving great, authentic Thai food, give Bangkok Street Food a try. The restaurant is not big, maybe roughly 12 tables. Service is great and waitstaff check up on you periodically. Here's what we ordered, everything is served "family style" so plenty for sharing. 1. Drunken Noodle (Pad Kee Mao) $15.95? Spicy, stir-fried flat rice noodles with your choice of meat (we picked chicken and beef & pork are available for an additional fee) chili, garlic, basil, onion, bell pepper, carrot and tomato. You can pick your level of spicy and we went with spicy. 5/5 2. Crying Tiger $18.95, Thai style grilled beef. Served medium rare with spicy tamarind sauce. This was definitely my favorite. The meat was tender with a bit of fattiness, oh so good. 5/5 3. Thai Boat Noodle Soup $16.95, a savory herbal broth with pork rinds, beansprouts, Chinese broccoli, choice of noodles and choice of beef or pork, topped with fried garlic, green onion, and cilantro. The broth was a bit on the saltier side for me. But overall a great, savory soup. 4/5 I look forward to additional visits because there are so many more dishes that I want to try.
