First, they had us all standing up asking how old are children multiple times like she couldn't comprehend just to say only 6 year old qualify as child while its apparent she's the tiniest of the all. Not too long ago me and my girlfriend ate here and at first glance it's great. As we got our food we noticed that most of it looked like it had been sitting for a while and the sushi was stale. But that's not the worst part, the waitress constantly hovered and when she put the ticket at our table... she pointed at the "tip" portion of the ticket and nodes her head. I was paying with card (tip also), as we walk away she pretty much stands in our way asking for a tip. You can't really go wrong with a Chinese buffet at least that's what I thought. Was excited that they had Mongolian BBQ and sushi. The sushi was old and you could clearly see the fish turning color, there was someone attempting to make sushi but it looks like they were trying to get everyone to eat what was on these slabs, Which wasn't much. There was 2 tongs to be used for the sea weed, squid and sushi. Which they were a bit messy. Moved on to the Mongolian grill filled my plate with meat and vegetables added my sauce. Stood there as someone just stares at me, I didn't know what was the next step where's the person who puts it on the grill to cook it. The person just kept staring at me after awhile because I didn't want to abandon the plate of raw food l, someone finally came out from the back. The fried chicken and noodles were good. I was there with friends no one came to clean the plates that had been used we just kept on stacking them maybe they'll notice. The good-ole China Buffet. This has been open for years and years now. I am not surprised that it is still running. This is one of the few Chinese buffets on the westside. The location is probably why this restaurant is open. My family has eaten here several times. I do have to say, when they bring out fresh food from the kitchen, everything is good. When the food has been sitting out under the lamps, I can definitely tell it's old. It would have an almost old oil taste. After eating, I felt overwhelmed by the access of oil in all the food. We get what we pay for. At a cheap price with a drink, you get an entire buffet, and you can chose to eat whatever and how much you want! read more

In my opinion what makes for a great restaurant, is if you want to go back again after your first time. This restaurant definitely qualifies for that. I went there last Saturday for the first time and really enjoyed their diverse selection of food, the first time I enjoyed the honey chicken along with the bourbon chicken, that's not to say I didn't like anything else. Yesterday was the second time that I want, and not only did I enjoy the food I had first time, I encountered something called a beef roll, which looks like ground beef in a rolled up tortilla shell. Do not waste your time or money! My family and I decided to give this place another try and we will definitely not be back. From the appearances everything looks like your standard Chinese buffet but that's where it ends. Everything we tried on the buffet was barely warm and extremely over and sometimes even undercooked. We spent half our time picking through our food trying to find something remotely edible. We kept asking for napkins to discard the subpar food into. I even tried the Mongolian BBQ thinking it would be fresh meat and veggies not to mention hot. Well I was at least right on one thing it was hot. The meat didn't look like it was kept at all cold enough, and vegetables were somewhat dis colored. With our initial experience there was NO WAY I was trying the sushi! After eating here both my Auntie and I were sick for nearly a week. I was either laying on the couch the whole time or running to the bathroom. I almost talked myself into going to the ER it got so bad. Many years ago China Buffet was the best Chinese buffet in the area but has gone completely downhill. The food was either overly salted or overly sweet, that was my main issue. I used to come here years ago but now it's much worse and dirty inside. Plus very outdated appearance. I travel to Jacksonville a lot for work and usually stay nearby in a local hotel for the evening. I like Chinese buffets but this one has the rudest and most ignorant employees I've ever encountered. Their sushi bar stinks and they won't put out fresh sushi until every last piece is eaten. I even asked the chef to make something for me without the tons of spicy sauce they drown everything in and she pretended to not speak any English so as not to have to answer my request. The one person who works there tried to translate and she told him that she won't make anything new until ALL the old sushi is taken . It's my last time to come here and I highly recommend anyone who likes Chinese buffets to stay away from this sad attempt at Chinese cuisine ! read more

Beef was tasty and well seasoned, butter potato Good, Dumplings look small but great Taste, egg foo young not too bad, crab rangoon crispy with a good flavor on it, coconut shrimp nice , sushi pretty Decent and Fresh , the Buffet has a nice set of different types of food, the only thing missing today were the mussels, service was Good. Been coming here for years now. It's been a few months but I went there tonight and everything was pretty normal at first, the staff isn't very social but they are normally polite enough. Fast forward to mid meal, I'm on my second plate of sushi. I've been eating a few pieces of sushi that are simply raw fish slices on rice. As I bite into a raw piece of fish, I hit a rotten part in it. I spit it out and do everything I can to get the sour taste out of my mouth to little effect. Naturally I approach the manager and tell him about my experience. He tells me that the fish isn't rotten, showing me one other slices of fish, trying to convince me otherwise, doing anything to try and tell me that I'm mistaken, generally arguing with me and telling me to deal with it. I call my friend to tell him about my situation, and the guy won't let me and my girlfriend step outside without paying first. I walk out anyway and I turn around to see he has blocked my girlfriend off from the door! Well now, I'm completely ticked this is turning into some ridiculous hostage situation. Naturally I go inside, take her by the arm, and step back out. The manager follows me, arguing with me while I'm trying to talk to my friend on the phone, telling me that I lied about the raw fish, and that I'm trying to leave without paying. I reassured him multiple times that I would go in and pay after my phone call, but he wouldn't stop arguing with me outside. I kept my word choice respectful for the other families in and out of the restaurant, although I couldn't say the same for mister manager. I even reassured him that my family and I have been eating for years here without any problems, but nonetheless, he ripped the food ticket out of my hand and said "you couldn't afford it anyway." If this is how they treat their valued customers,as well as any possible health concerns (with raw food which is the most dangerous no less,) then I can't ever see myself being satisfied knowing that I, or anyone I care about, or even anyone who took the time to read this, would choose to eat at this fatality waiting to happen. read more

Great food. Clean place. The food was hot and delicious and fully stocked. Only complaint i have is with the waitress who stands right next to you and then when she gives you the check she stands there as you eat and then waiting for you to pay and watches you as you write in the tip. That drove me insane today. Next time they do that they get a kick in their a$$ but great price for lunch at under 10 bucks. i pay that for Panda Express and only get a little. read more

Great fresh seafood. The fried shrimp with heads on was the largest shrimp I've ever seen in any restaurant and so fresh they were hard to peel but worth the effort. Shocked at the choices and everything from the smiling waitress to the quiet atmosphere on a busy Sunday afternoon and to top it off, the price all day was only $10.19 plus tax. I'll be back. Sailors be warned. Was there for an hour and saw no food get replaced. Asked for some items to be replaced and waited 45 minutes and still nothing. Told me that they were cooking it but come to find out seems like the whole kitchen staff was eating and looking at me strangely every time I went to check.
