The food was okay. Some was good while some items tasted old. They have a lot of variety. The bathroom was gross. One of the toilets had vomit just setting there. They had a sign hanging up not to put toilet paper in the toilets. I took a second look at the sign thinking I read it wrong and maybe it said not to put paper towels in the toilet. Nope, it said toilet paper. What the heck? If the toilet paper doesn't go in the toilet then where does it go? On the floor next to the toilet? Carry it to the bathroom sink area to throw it away? I'm surprised the Health Department allows this. Had I seen the bathroom first, I wouldn't have eaten here. The service was okay. I had to ask for a water refill when it should have automatically been done. As soon as I got in my car, I had to re-park in this same parking lot and run into the Publix next door to use their clean facilities. My tummy has hurt all day after eating here around noon. I don't think I have food poisoning, but the food definitely didn't agree with my tummy. The cost was around $11. I really hate to post this due to the fact in 2009-2011 maybe. This was actually a decent place and was visited by a lot of sailors at lunch time. Today we walked in and I could already tell from the smell this wasn't going to be good. My boys wanted to stay cause of that dang fish tank. Maybe...MAYBE because there's a miniscule spark of hope dwelling inside me that the owners of Osaka Buffet in Mandarin walked in one day, bought you guys out, and took over operations. Farfetched as the idea may be, it was still a lingering hope. Atmosphere? Drab and lifeless. Food? Your fried rice is neon orange and everything (even the chicken) smells fishy. Not cool. The ONLY reason why I gave you 2 stars instead of one (because believe me I've seen better quality ingredients on a bag of ALPO than I did at your buffet) is because of the entertainment value. That being the "people watching." Today, for instance, I witnessed what seemed to be a "corn on the cob and watermelon eating contest" between the waitresses that were on their lunchbreak. No chit chat about the comings and goings of the day, etc.....Just the occasional glance at one another as they threw down plates piled to the ceiling with watermelon and cobs of corn. They looked at each other and began speaking their language as they rung up my bill. They offered no apology, no acknowledgment, no attempt to remove the chicken from the buffet to protect the health of others. I believe she got angry because I brought it to their attention. So disappointed in this place. We haven't eaten here in years, but had fond memories of good food. We were stuck on this side of town for a bit with business, so decided to swing by. What a mistake. The ladies in the front (hostess & waitress) were very pleasant people and the tables were clean. The ladies room was horrid with sticky floors and a backed up commode. There was a man in charge of the sushi who played on his cell phone the entire time and when some customers wanted hibachi, it took a while to find the man running it. The food was very disappointing and not a great variety of foods available. The "salad bar" consisted of lettuce and dressing. The sushi looked old, I didn't feel comfortable trying any. The chicken wings were ok/good, as was the egg drop soup and the crab rangoon. Lo mein was cold, but tasty. Everything else was just unseasoned and plain. (I've had tastier frozen Asian-American food from the supermarket.) At the end, sticker shock: $12 and change for the buffet and drink each. Way overpriced for mediocre/sad food. Like alway we got the BBQ and sushi along with a few of the bar items. Upon taking a bite of his Mongolian BBQ my bf felt something move in his mouth . The dining room has nice decor and looked relatively clean but the food here is truly, truly awful! Maybe the mistake we made was coming at 3:45 in the afternoon after the food had been sitting out since they opened for lunch? But that wasn't the only problem - the food was all poorly seasoned and much of it was dried out whilst sitting in gloppy gelatinous sauce. The hot and sour soup was the most bland and flavorless I have ever had. I don't know how the health department lets them operate the Hibachi Grill area the way they do. There were tubs of raw shrimp, and raw sliced chicken of beef on ice that looked so unappealing I couldn't bring myself to put any on the plate for the grill man to cook. There was a big selection of vegetables and then sauces and garlic you could add. Unfortunately the garlic was that awful horrible garlic and oil from a jar that was so pungently strong you can smell it from 20 feet away. My friend put a few spoonfuls of it on his chosen items to be cooked and it was so disgustingly overpowering it rendered him unable to taste anything for the rest of the meal. The sauces that could be added were obviously low quality pre-made crap from a bottle. The only thing to recommend about the restaurant is that It is very inexpensive . The lunch price was still in effect when we arrived and it was only $9 per person and my friend got a senior discount on top of that. My husband got 3 plates but his eyes were bigger then his stomach, lol. I was so excited to try the sushi and I loved all the ones I tried. We go here at least twice a month. I love the food and love the service we get. The waitresses love my children and are super friendly. I have never had a complaint about the food. I always start off with the green beans, white rice and sesame chicken. Always full of flavor and delicious. I love the wonton soup, the broth has just the right amount of salt to it. The habchi grill is another favorite. The selection you have is always fresh. My husband loves the lo mein and General tso. I feel it's hard to find an all you can eat buffet where you are completely satisfied with the quality of service you receive and the food quality. When we moved here in March 2013 we found this place and have been going nonstop since then. Try this place out it has amazing food and great service. read more

The buffet food was barely warm and it was way over cooked. The hibachi grill area looked disgusting. The steak and chicken are not kept in the temperature zone they should be, they were discolored and old looking. The service was terrible for a self serve place. Our "waitress" was on the phone walking around for a good 10-15 minutes while we had empty glasses. The sushi bar had what seemed to be plenty of options however after seeing the meat at the hibachi area not being stored right everyone decided to skip it. Chinese buffets are my personal nemesis. I love to hate them. For some reason my brain constantly tells me that I want to eat at a Chinese buffet but I always immediately regret it afterwards, partially because they never have very good quality food and secondly, because my stomach doesn't agree with what I eat. There was a point where China Buffett was a decent option when I got this self-damaging urge but over time it seems to be getting worse and worse. Today the food was old and luke warm. I actually left feeling slightly sick to my stomach. I used this meal as my cheat meal as I've recently been trying to eat healthier... and I hate myself for this poor decision. But beyond this, I'm also extremely annoyed at the "service" that I received today. Now I realize that there is a wide variety of opinions on tipping, especially at buffets, but mine is pretty simple. I don't tip at buffets unless I actively get warm friendly service that goes above and beyond what you expect at a self-serve restaurant. Well, today after not seeing my "server" at all other than when I was seated, I received my bill. I filled it out without a tip while the tactless server hovered over me. Now keep in mind that I got all my own food and dressings and I only had one plate of food with no drink refills so the "server" literally didn't do anything for me. Well, when she took my check from me she proceeded to ask me why I didn't add a tip to which I replied, "I'm sorry there was no service performed for me today." I can usually find something redeeming to say about a place, but this one even failed at that! I'm just sorry that I have to deceive my fellow Yelpers by giving it 1 star. First, they had us all standing up asking how old are children multiple times like she couldn't comprehend just to say only 6 year old qualify as child while its apparent she's the tiniest of the all. Not too long ago me and my girlfriend ate here and at first glance it's great. As we got our food we noticed that most of it looked like it had been sitting for a while and the sushi was stale. But that's not the worst part, the waitress constantly hovered and when she put the ticket at our table... she pointed at the "tip" portion of the ticket and nodes her head. I was paying with card (tip also), as we walk away she pretty much stands in our way asking for a tip.
