My dad thinks this is the best typical Chinese restaurant in the area, but I'm not sure why, to me most Chinese places are close in comparison, share similar menus and are of similar quality (there are a few exceptions). China Cafe has not yet disappointed however and I have yet to get something from there that I did regret but It's a bit of drive to get there for us. They've always been friendly and had good waitstaff (we've been there probably a dozen times) If you like edamame they serve that as an ourdourves (It's ok but I don't really care for it, my friend loves it though) They have a nice Szechuan menu, I've tried a few things that were ok (Sliced Fish) Classics here have been good: Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Etc. One of us really likes the Seafood Delight. All in all its okay.... (Until it burned down) the best one we had in the area was Szechuan house, with its extensive menu of classics and Szechaun specialties. This is my second time eating here since they opened. Great service and super fresh food. Everything came out fast and piping hot! The crab Rangoon was made with a very nice thin wrapper. Great flavor! The Szechuan chicken was deliciously spicy but not too spicy. I couldn't get over how tender the chicken was! Very impressed. Let me start this review by says how immaculately clean this place is. The dining room is not huge so large parties may have trouble. Everything was classy and upscale form the decor to the granite table tops! The next thing that impressed me was the complimentary appetizers. They brought snap peas and fried wontons with a delightful cheese sauce of some kind. We ordered egg rolls and the food presentation was over the top. Everything placed so purposefully on the plate. They were delicious. The table next to us made me a little jealous as they ordered pot stickers or dumplings and they looked amazing. My husband order shrimp fried rice and he was pleased. And again the presentation was beautiful. The Mongolian Beef was wonderful. We have been looking for a oriental restaurant in NWA this one is great. A good spot to grab some to go food, which is what we did. The portions are large and you will get plenty of food if you're ordering dinner. Everything was hot and fresh. After ordering online, our food was ready in 10 minutes. Fried rice didn't have a lot of flavor, which was kind of disappointing. The Mongolian beef was a little bit spicy and flavorful. "Kung Pao is hot and spicy, whereas General Tso is sweet and spicy." China Cafes Kung Poa Shrimp and Chicken are way to sweet! Plus there are no dried Chinese red peppers in the Kung Poa at China Cafe and very few peanuts that are not cooked into the dish. Kung Poa has been my favorite dish for years but not at China Cafe. The other food is fine but to high priced. The cooks at China Cafe should try Panda Expresses Kung Poa Chicken to see what most Kung Poa tastes like. It should not be overly sweet. read more

Told 15-25 minutes from order placed. Food order handed to me 45 minutes after order placed. (2) of the (3) appetizers were short (1) stick. So total of (13) sticks instead of (15). A lot of people accept a lot of salt or condiments on there dishes which they believe those provide taste but it's honestly not. This place is a fresh dishes with not so much of salt soy or condiment to make us feel full. I really like it I enjoyed the tso chicken with lo mein. The vegetables are fresh and the sauce of any dish was gentle and fresh and perfectly on its taste. The fried rice wasn't so much with soy or eggs and they used purple onion. The egg drop soup was so light and warm and good. The chicken was fresh meat mostly breast. The chili oil wasn't so spicy. The egg rolls were divided in half with the sweet sauce next to it. We got a Hispanic waiter and she was soooo nice respectful caring persistent to her job. The place can get crowded but I don't blame them the food is delish. Once they seat you down they serve you like the peas and some like light fried chips kids I am so sorry for not knowing the right name with a wasabi mustard sauce which was good it was so harsh on wasabi. read more

Still is the best place to get Chinese food in the area. And when I say Chinese food, it's authentic Szechuan cuisine if you order from the back of the menu. Price got a little higher due to the area where it is located and the serving is a little smaller now but the taste is so good that it did not matter. This place will give pf chang a run for its money in my humble opinion. My only concern was the table is to small for all the food to be place on the table for sharing. Both dishes I've had here (apart from the pictured shrimp dish, I've tried the seafood and tofu clay pot) were good, though I've had better versions of each. I can't imagine them being reheated. We ordered the crab Rangoon. They weren't bad. The wrapper they used was super thin and overly crispy. And for 8 pieces they give you a tiny cup of sweet and sour sauce. My son got the sweet and sour chicken and the portion was huge but again came with one tiny cup of sauce served with it. We had to ask for more. I got the sweet and sour chicken. Not crispy and extremely dry and stringy chicken. My husband got the kung pao chicken. He likes the flavor but not the dish itself.
