This used to be a favorite spot to take a drive and enjoy some crab legs and Chinese food. We arrived from our 26 minute drive to no crab leg on the line. We waited over 25 minutes for them to replenish. The food quality was poor, lacked flavor, poor cuts of meat and the dining room is just run down. It's gone down hill and not worth driving back out. Pay a few more bucks and dine at a different Buffet. The ambiance is old nothing fancy.

Little bit of everything sushi , meat skewers, greens and mushrooms put stickers sweet and sour soup

Good food and an even better price! Would recommend! A very good variety of foods including a hibachi grill where you can put together your own dish and they cook for you and a good variety of sushi as well!

Employee working over food we are trying to eat. We saw people lifting up they tray to get sauce and food.

We had lunch there today food wasn't very good. While getting our food a guy was working over the food on the buffet line with material falling on the tray he put over the food. NOT GOOD. If they do this in front of people what happens when no one is looking

But, we'll see something new on the menue, and it then becomes our new favorite. ANYthing we order has been outstanding. The service is very friendly and very helpful. They are very accomodating. The atmosphere is not fancy, but it is clean. While eating there, I always say. "I can't wait to come back." Just writing this review is making me yearn to eat there now, and I just ate there two days ago. If you have a favorite Asian restaurant that is different from Old Town Taste, I challenge you to try this restaurant. I am confident it will become your new favorite. Parking was a breeze and seating was spacious. I like the interior a lot and the service was quite good (seeing that it was only one person taking down the orders and cleaning! very fast for that). For the food, we ordered chicken fried rice, fragrance tender beef, fish-flavored eggplant, boiled fish with pickled cabbage, and dry fried green beans. All of these dishes were yummy, in particular, my parents love the boiled fish with pickled cabbage and fragrance tender beef. I do think there is solid sichuan spice flavor. This is a great place to get Chinese food in Arizona :) **something to note, there might be a heightened salty flavor in some dishes so be wary haha We always visit!

A Mesa Asian District Gem Worth Seeking Out…read more Asian Cafe Express is a lovely strip mall gem near H-Mart in Mesa's Asian District, and after 21 years in business, it clearly has a loyal following for good reason. We brought in a fresh lobster from H-Mart to try their "bring your own seafood" cooking option and chose the garlic onion stir fry preparation. It's $14.99 for anything under 2 lbs and $7.50/lbs for anything over. It came out excellent, served over crispy egg noodles with classic Asian flavors and plenty of wok-fired goodness. We also enjoyed the Peking pork ribs, which were deboned, tasty, and slightly sweet; the stir-fried green beans, which were fresh and well prepared; and the garlic spicy chicken wings, which were especially flavorful and highly recommended. The red bean drinks were traditional and satisfying, with soft, nicely soaked mung beans and no milk. Service was friendly, efficient, and personal, handled by a couple of ladies who clearly know the restaurant and their customers well. While we were there, plenty of regulars came in for takeout and several tables were happily dining in. Overall, we really enjoyed Asian Cafe Express and were surprised we had not stopped in sooner. Highly recommend, especially for the "bring your own seafood" cooking option and the garlic spicy wings. We will definitely be back.

They knew I was "mom" visiting and treated me and my family like royalty! I watched as they greeted everyone with kindness and it was clear they have many regulars! My daughter is now one of those regulars, and honestly, they are so kind to her and I'm grateful they treat her like family. Four years since that first visit, we gave her a choice of any cuisine for her graduation party. She didn't hesitate and requested they cater. The food was outstanding and they surprised us with dumplings as well! The quality and quantity of food was outstanding, we had many compliments and just enough leftovers for lunch the next day! I recommend everyone stop in and give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Ordered the pork and chives dumplings, XLB, and Beef chow fun. Service was expedient and waters were already preset on the table. Chow fun had the wok hay ( wok air that makes food taste good) and thick slices of velveted beef slices. The staff was all really friendly which surprised me because I swear they never stopped! They were busy but still kind and attentive! We ordered the spicy dumplings and the Hong Kong Fried Rice! The Boas were good, but the dough was a little thicker than I'm used to. So I felt full rather quickly! The fried rice however, 10/10 NO NOTES!!! Best fried rice I think I've ever had!! Totally worth the drive. Will be back for sure!!
